I recently took my 2019 Nissan Rogue to Don Davis Nissan in Arlington, TX, for what I thought would be a simple oil change and tire rotation. Was I wrong. They've apparently shifted to these "maintenance packages" only, and gone are the days of a la carte services. I was pushed into their Basic 30,000 Mile Interval Service Package for a whopping $499.95, even though my car is at around 59,000 miles and I've been handling a lot of this stuff myself. It felt like I had no choice if I wanted anything done at all. Let's break down why this was such a rip-off. The package includes things like replacing the key fob battery at $12.00 - seriously? I can buy a pack of two Duracell CR2032 batteries online or at any store for under $5 and swap them myself in seconds. Then there's the cabin air filter at $47.45; aftermarket options are available for $15-25, and even OEM parts online go for around $20-30. The engine air filter was $29.95, which is still marked up compared to $20-ish elsewhere. I already changed both filters and the fob batteries recently, so why am I paying for duplicates? The brake fluid flush was another unnecessary add-on in this bundle. I had my brake pads replaced back in 2024, which included a flush then - no need to do it again so soon, but it's baked into the package. And what even is this "Vehicle Protection Service" tacked on? From what I can tell, it's some vague multi-point inspection or extended protection plan (like Nissan's Security+Plus), but it feels more like protection money to the mob - pay up or your car doesn't get serviced. Their brochure lists it, but it's not clear what real value it adds beyond basic checks I could do myself. Yes, I know that I could have went to a oil change business. We go in there we give the salesman the car keys to A value the praise they shop our credit didn't even appraise the car so how can you send out the car loan to banks to jump on a deal if you didn't even appraise the car to get more accurate pricing on the loan structure. But what really stood out was the extra care he showed after my service was complete. I mentioned a few marks on my driver-side door that happened weeks ago--completely unrelated to my visit--and without hesitation, he took it upon himself to remove them before I left. I had called the salesperson to have the truck pulled up front for me to see and drive it. It was not there when I got there. It didn't look anything like the stock photo used to promote their beat up, unclean, motor knocking truck. Needless to say I was not happy. Very disappointing experience at Don Davis Nissan. The vehicle was advertised online for one price, but when I arrived at the dealership I was told I had to pay a much higher amount. That felt very misleading. There were also issues with the paperwork. Terms that were discussed regarding my trade-in were not clearly reflected in the contract, which is concerning when you're making a major financial decision. The biggest problem happened in the finance office, where aftermarket products were added to my contract that I did not agree to purchase. Discovering additional charges that were never properly authorized is unacceptable. I strongly recommend that anyone considering buying from here, don't!!!! Look elsewhere. I went to return the vehicle and no one wanted to come talk to me or work anything out with me, basically asked for their keys and sent me on my way. I was a serious buyer ready to close a deal on a pre-owned 2025 Nissan Sentra. I called ahead specifically to make sure the car was physically on the lot and available. The salesperson, Adrian, explicitly lied to me over the phone, claiming it was prepped and ready for a test drive. When I arrived, Adrian didn't even have the car or know where it was. I was forced to sit around and wait for 30 to 40 minutes just for them to track it down, only for him to return and admit the car was actually trapped in service with a severe wiring harness failure. I was told Nissan corporate over in Asia hadn't even accepted the damage or approved the parts yet, meaning the car was completely broken and stuck indefinitely.Despite the car being completely undriveable, Adrian had then told me that if I buy the car today then corporate would put a speed on getting the car fixed. He tried to convince me that starting monthly payments on a broken car I couldn't take home would somehow 'force corporate to hurry up and put in a quick order.' They flatly refused to give me a loaner car, expecting me to make monthly payments on a vehicle sitting in a service bay for weeks or months with no set completion date.I left, and Adrian promised to stay in touch with updates on when the service would start or finish. Instead, four days today, I get a text back not to give an update, but to casually announce they sold the exact car I was waiting on, and immediately tried to pivot me into buying something else. read more

I brought the car back and he told me that it was like that before.long story short he got the service mgr involved so they left for a few minute I told me that the tech that work on my car was new . He told me that he would get a new part to fix the problem that they did not have one , and it would take a couple of weeks for parts to come in . On 8-20-26 I called Peet's dept and did not mention nothing about my situation and spoke with Pedro and ask if they had this part in stock he said yes so if they have it in stock why would Chris young it use what they have in stock and seems like he is avoiding me because I called and ask for him and they told me he was with a customer, ok then I ask what time he was leaving they said at 7pm I called at 5 and they said ge was gone for the day. I called Don Davis Nissan, and a kind young lady let me know the service department closed at 7:00 PM. It was already 6:50 PM, and I was on I-20 and Collins, just minutes away. I told her I only needed my tire pressure checked and she said, "If you can make it before 7, we'll help you." I appreciated that -- and made it with a minute to spare! When I arrived, there were three young men in the service office. Only one of them -- Brendan Garner -- stood up to assist me. I explained what I needed, and though it was almost closing time, Brendan jumped right into problem-solving mode. There was another vehicle blocking the bay, and Brendan offered two quick solutions: 1 He would move the car and have someone else air up my tires, or 2 They could move the car, and he'd do the rest himself. Unfortunately, neither of his coworkers offered to help. Purchased a new car from them August 2025. By September 2025 tires were showing premature wear. Don Davis stated the 3 tire specialists who inspected tires did not know what they were talking about. February 2026 car is needing 4 new tires. Manufacturer states these are defective tires. Don Davis will not help on this & state that tire tread is 6 when all tire specialists state in writing that the tread is a 4. Theyn also pulled the bait & switch when we went in with a picture of the car ww ere interested in. Price jumped $20,000.00.
