THE BIG: Located in Cedar Park inside the H Mart food court. Tucked away in the corner of the food court, you can't miss the smells emanating from this food stall. Parking is relegated to the parking lot. THE BLACK AND WHITE: Everytime I go to the H Mart in Cedar Park, I always check out the food court and Don's Chicken KFC always wonder how good their chicken is. They have a bunch of different flavors like regular, sweet and spicy, spicy, cheese, spicy soy garlic. Since I'm slightly lactose, I try to avoid anything cheesey. I got the medium spicy soy garlic, and the sauce was great, however the crunch of the KFC resembled a single fry rather than the renowned double fried, super crunchy exterior with juicy chicken flesh interior. The sides were a sad portion of pickled radish. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, for a medium spicy soy garlic wings, it came out to be around $18. Not a bad KFC place, however there are better spots in Austin in my opinion.

I don't usually update my reviews, but I just always feel like I get disappointed and mislead by my own review whenever I eat here so it's time for an update. Not only does the chicken take a long while to come out, but it always comes out so dry! If they cooked it a little less, they could hit two birds with one stone! Shorter wait times and less dry chicken! If you get one of the sauce based flavors, they can kinda get away with it because the outside is really nice and crispy. And then you have the sauce to get things moving. But if you get the dry rub seasoning flavors, it is still really crispy the which is ideal. But the inside is so dry, it becomes a little unenjoyable. Which is a shame because the ppurings seasoning is actually so delicious.

solid fried chicken spot inside hmart. i would recommend getting just chicken as their fries are a bit bland and missing flavor (or borrow some of the sauces at the k dog place). we got two different combos as you aren't allowed to mix chicken types or flavors. i tried the soy garlic and sweet and spicy. they were both pretty solid flavors, i wish the soy garlic had more sauce. the chicken is was yummy with crispy skin. the drumstick combo is the HUGE sticks while the wings has flats and drums but are your normal size. i would definitely come back and just get the chicken but it is on the pricey side.

I felt it was overpriced for what you get. I got the boneless sweet and spicy chicken. Not to spicy for those that are curious and/or crave the heat. With it being $20ish after tip, I was underwhelmed.

I came to Don chicken on a recommendation to try the sweet and spicy chicken. I got the combo with 3 drumsticks, fries and coleslaw in the sweet and spicy sauce and it did not disappoint! The sauce is amazing, chicken came out nice and hot and juicy! Service was out of this world awesome! Actually offered me a box and bag for my food from another restaurant noticing my hands were full just while waiting for my chicken! I will most definitely be back! Thanks so much Don chicken!

A great fried chicken option in Austin is located inside Hmart at the food court. The service is quick and easy to order, and there are lots of tables and a clean environment. Food is always spot on.

Repeat customers at this great stand in the H-Mart food court. We love the garlic hot chicken and the portions are generous. The food court is comfortable and clean, although it can get a bit busy and crowded at times. Plenty of drink options nearby including a wide selection of canned and bottled beers.

Was at H Mart to grab some last-minute groceries. Decided to eat in the food court and tried out Don Chicken. The person at the register was busy on his phone and didn't even acknowledge me until a minute later. Ordered my food and sat back down at my table. The chicken was kind of tough and dry. The sauce was decent, but they are heavy-handed with it. The fried chicken was okay-- nothing to special about it-- the coleslaw was refreshing and helped with the fried food. I don't know if I would try it again after this, just due to how the chicken was cooked.

Soy garlic was warm and tasty. The cheese (I forgot the full name ) was regular fried chicken, lots of batter but still tasted good. The French fries- substandard. Love the food court ambience. Always packed especially on weekends.

Review is for take-out via GrubHub with a travel time of less than 10 minutes. My order wasn't ready when I got there but I only had to wait five minutes. They brought it out to me where I was sitting in the H-Mart food court, which was very considerate. The value is quite nice for this Korean Fried Chicken. Five drumsticks (medium) easily fed two people. I made some vegetables at home to go with it, not realizing they included some complimentary pickled radish (great to cut the heat!) The chicken overall is a 3.5/5. It was still crispy even doing take-out, but some pieces were juicer than others. One was extremely stringy while another was massive and perfectly tender. I'd say it's hit or miss but overall, the value is great.

Average KFC in my opinion. The wings were huge so value wise it was good but the flavor was just okay. Definitely something in this chicken to be this big and unnatural. Did Soy Garlic as the rub, again it was okay but had better. Run of the mills fries. I actually really liked the coleslaw so that was surprising. There's a bb.q Chicken right outside Hmart which may be a better option but anyway, this was okay.

First time trying Korean Chicken and my expectations were pretty high. I ordered soy garlic wings and the hot and spicy drumsticks. Starting with the pros, both orders were beyond filling for one person each. While it was a bit pricey, definitely felt like I got my moneys worth based on the quantity. I ordered the meal via Doordash, so I was afraid the chicken would be soggy but was pleasantly surprised that it was still very warm and had some crispiness to it despite being smothered in sauce. What I didn't like: The chicken drumsticks were HUGE, as in unnaturally so. I've seriously never had a chicken drumstick so big and the flavor was definitely not hot enough. Instead it had more sweet undertones that overpowered the spice in my opinion. So was this the best fried chicken I've had? Not by a long mile but I'm interested in trying more flavors in the future to see what I like better!

Tried the soy garlic Korean fried chicken drumsticks today for lunch at Don Chicken located at the food court at HMart. It was . The chicken was so crunchy and crispy and moist. The sauce mix was delicious and not overpowering and just the right amount enough. Not to light and not drench or too much that it would be overpowering or leave your hands a mess. Also really liked the recipe they have for the coleslaw. Would return again.

We ordered the ox knee bone soup. The soup was great and had lots of meat in it! I was surprised by how many different side dishes it came with because usually food court meals come with bare minimum. I would highly recommend this place - the location is kind of hidden in comparison to the other stalls with bright signs so I can see why people end up eating the other places tha this spot.

Narrow Street 512 serves up Authentic Korean food with a personal touch. It feels like you're eating a home cooked meal at your Aunt's home in Korea. I experienced Narrow Street as a solo diner. My go-to dish I order 90 percent of the time I go there is the Chadol Plate (A3). It is beef brisket. You normally need to go to a KBBQ spot and get covered in a layer of smoke. Skip smelling like a campfire and get A4 at Narrow Street. The beef brisket comes with rice served in a metal bowl. You get 3 or four small plastic containers of banchan the rotates seasonally. There is a variety of different kimchi, fish cake, corn slaw, potato salad and more. Once in a while I like to switch it up and I order the Cold Noodles (F1) or squid and pork stir fry (A4). The cold noodles are refreshing with crisp cucumber, white radish kimchi, and korean pear. The noodles are bouncy with a nice chew. Great in Summer and Winter. The Squid and pork stir fry comes with a bowl of rice and it is quite spicy. It is spicier than average but still less spicy than Thai chili. The chewy squid and pork are nicely complemented with the crunchy stir fried cabbage. Once you taste it you can't stop eating it. The price at Narrow Street very reasonable for what you get in my opinion. It is sit down restaurant quality food in a fast casual setting. You can dine solo or go in a big group as there is plenty of seating at the Hmart Food court. You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to alert you to go pick up your trays of food. The Korean ladies who work there are super friendly and will help you make your menu selection if you have any questions. I've been a dedicated regular since 2023. Narrow Street is my go-to for my Korean food fix!

It is a quaint little place, not too big of a space so luckily they did not have a wait when we went. I give it a five star review because of the sushi. The food for me was good, not the best like not great, but it does satisfy the Korean food craving. Presentation of dishes was so nice and fun, the sushi was on fire literally. They start you off with banchan-kimchi, macaroni, onions, and fish cake. It's standard, nothing outstanding, but they do give free refills! 1. Taimatsu Roll - My favorite dish we ordered. It's saucy and has a nice play on textures because of the crispy fried bits on top. It is stuffed with a sizeable piece of tuna and has a sweet mayo sauce. It is definitely more fusion leaning rather than traditional. 2. Dak-Galbi - A spicy chicken dish with sweet potato matchstick slices and rice cakes. There could be more rice cakes and flavor. It was not spicy at all, more of that sweet savory taste you get from gochujang based dishes. The chicken was super tender and there was a good amount! 3. Beef Rib Stew - This was a warming stew with glass noodles, it is a basic soup that is salty and peppery (some may think it's bland). It comes with a bone in beef rib that is fall off the bone tender! Overall, while the food wasn't the most outstanding, I would definitely come back to try other items (namely the sushi). I would also love to try the inari tofu pockets I see online (not sure if they still have that though since I don't think I saw that on the menu). Also, their other fusion leaning dishes like the carbonara tteokbokki sounds interesting.
