I was in the mood for some Flounder, and decided to check out Dom's. I chose a Flounder platter, with fries , and coleslaw. Everyone was friendly, and accommodating. They have tables, I chose to get takeout. Service was quick. The flounder, was crispy, same with the fries. Coleslaw was good also. They also had some good looking desserts I will try in the future. I will definitely return for takeout again. I don't know how I've never stopped here before. read more

I regret leaving a bad review for Doms . The meal I had at the time was not complimentary to say the least. But we tried them again twice and both times were Great everything was cooked perfect.& fresh I'm so glad they are back. Don't know what happened there for awhile ? I always get the same thing and it's amazing! The crab imperial platter with Cole slaw and French fries. Also the carrot cake is really good. The service is consistent and never had an issue. Crab cakes had mostly filling and CT not much crab meat. Crab soup was loaded with potatoes and not much seasoning.

Did not expect the food to be that good usually have seafood in the Cape May area of New Jersey, but this is an absolute local gem.

Our family has been going to Dom's for YEARS. The food is amazing! Always delicious. There is limited indoor seating, and the parking lot desperately needs work but other than that, this is an absolute hidden gem. Kudos to the staff for everything! Ordered a 100 piece jumbo shrimp cocktail tray for holiday dinner on short notice and they were able to make it happen for us! The shrimp was delicious and the cocktail sauce was the perfect level of spice for me. The price was reasonable for the size of the shrimp. Very pricey, but very good crab legs, clams and muscles. We buy and cook them ourselves, not sure I could ever bring myself to actually eat in because it's dirty. The staff is helpful, semi friendly. I think the biggest downfall of this place is that it's not taken care of. It needs a good sweep and mop, and some updating. read more

I had high expectations but it was a bust. It is truly a take out place. Not very fine in friendly. We felt like we're were more of a bother because we ate in. The positive: the New England clam chowder was nice thick creamy and loaded with clams. Lobster bisque not so tasty. But good for the price. Negative: Not inviting for eat in. The broiled shrimp was ok but was served in a sauce that overwhelm the shrimp. The broiled scollops we large and tasty but again served in the same sauce as the shrimp so I was not impressed. No! No! And No! Used to be good- but now has been consistently horrible. After not being prepared for a Christmas rush, our pre-ordered food was not ready for over an hour and was not made properly because they had run out of ingredients. Needless to say my entire Christmas dinner was ruined not only for me but for my guests- very embarrassing. However since it had a good reputation we continue to try Doms. And we tried and we went back and we went back!!! every single time the food was putrid.Just tonight we ordered our dinner from Dom's. My husband, who eats anything and everything, absolutely could not stomach the cream soup that they call lobster bisque. We were lucky to find maybe three pieces of lobster within that thick cream paste. He could not continue to eat his macaroni salad as he wasn't sure if it was bad from being left out or if the ingredients were just not making a good macaroni salad. The shrimp did not seem fresh. The broiled stuffed flounder was practically all bread not to mention the crabcakes that were all bread on top of burnt breading. I cannot say anything good about this place. When we first tried Dahms a couple years ago we thought we had found a really good seafood place. Sadly, it has gone down and has become really awful food At an expensive price. You wouldn't want to use the fried shrimp I just bought as bait. I've been going here since the 80's. The fried shrimp I just bought were horrible. I hope I don't get sick. Hidden treasure! Easy to miss if you are driving by , but thanks to the word of mouth I discovered this place more then 20 years ago! Everyone I ever told about this place has raved about the food! It's a small family owned business with delicious and fresh seafood that is always a pleasure to visit. Last time I got Lobster bisque and it was amazing , just perfect amount of lumps of lobster meat and creamy delicious velvety smooth texture thank you! Broiled/fried scallops , shrimp ... so many delicious items to choose from and don't forget the sides , oh they also have homemade cocktail sauce that is better then any store bought sauce I ever had! read more

Before Covid we went here often for takeout, then quality went way down, gave them a few more chances but still not like it used to be

All three employees were working with masks draped around their necks. Two waited on customers no barriers, no masks! Food was good and reasonably priced but if they don't adhere to wearing a mask during this pandemic I will not be returning. read more

The staff is rude at times. If you ask for clams or any labor intensive item they seem irritated, or even pissed you asked. They did clean the place up inside. But, you may still find the tables dirty and unkept for reasons I only relate to lazy... As for the food, it is good at times. Cleanliness concerns me about Dom's... Very disappointed in this place. They quoted my husband a price for crabs on Friday. He went in today to get a bushel & 1/2 of crabs & raised the price 30 dollars. $265 is ridiculous & when someone quoted a price you need to honor that price. My friend told me about this place so we decided to try it on valentine's day. I'm the kind of person that rather grab take out and eat at home on valentine's day to not be with the crowds at a restaurant. So I call thinking I would only need to call 20 minutes ahead, well the wait I was told was an hour. Ugh! But we order and go to a few stores to kill time. We get there 15 minutes shy of the hour, waited an extra half hour. That was the only downside to it all. The staff was nice, the prices were amazing and the food was good. We will definitely be back, but next time I'll call with enough time ahead. We got the shrimp tacos, clams in butter sauce, popcorn shrimp, and lobster bisque soup and it cost 22.50! Not to shabby. OK. I won't lie, I was hesitant when we pulled into the parking lot they share with an auto body shop. Ignore the rundown building and you will find serious seafood here. Atmosphere. ...NO. Ambiance...NO. But some of the best seafood I've had....YES!!! No table service. You order from the counter, grab a soda from the cooler and wait. They have a sign "food comes out as it is cooked" so don't be surprised if an appetizer is brought after your entrée. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. The bisque was smooth and laced generously with shredded lobster. The dinner size calamari appetizer was very tender with a light breading. The crab legs were cooked perfectly, cracking crisply and easy to remove from the shells. How many times have you unsuccessfully tried to crack soggy shells? They don't have a lot of stock on hand. They ran out of broiled crabcakes. We had the fried ones instead. They were good but not a favorite. Skip the sides. Burnt onion rings and watery coleslaw were blah. The whole bill with sodas, tax and tip in a jar was less than $35. If you can overlook the rundown appearance, it is worth a visit. read more

The food is very good. The service and attitude of the employees is not. I have had several bad experiences and have given them opportunities to show me these negative interactions were anomalies. I stopped in today for some live crabs. They usually have a good selection. Today I purchased one dozen of their biggest live crabs for $48.00 a dozen. I noticed the crabs were a good size and feisty. Then I noticed the young girl call another young girl over and they were sorting through the bushel looking for a live crab. I observed the girl throw 4 crabs in a row into the trash. Then she pulled out another limp one and told the other girl ok was ok. At that point I asked the girl what the difference was between the last crab she was giving me and the ones they threw away. The girl turned her back to me and said it was alive. Look, I'm paying $48 bucks for a dozen LIVE crabs. I don't think it's ridiculous to expect a dozen live crabs. I get home and 2 we're dead and she only gave me 11 total! Very disappointing customer experience. I also spent $8 dollars on garlic shrimp. I'm not complaining about the price of anything, they didn't provide the services for my money. The best that can be said about dom's, at this point in time, is that the prices are good for a seafood restaurant. In the past when they prepared their own food products, they were great. I don't know where they purchase what they serve presently, but you can do just as good at Shop Rite. On todays visit, I purchased a quart of Lobster Bisque. In years gone by, I went out of my way to go there for that, even if I didn't want anything else. Today it tasted like water with some milk for coloring with some Lobster pieces thrown in. In the past I made special trips there to purchase their Onion rings. Now. Don't waste your time. They sucked. I did purchase one item today that was good. Bacon wrapped scallops.
