First and last time I'll be eating from here. The food is really just ok. The chicken parm was so overcooked and the cheese was hardened on the chicken. The Shrimp and Scallops Provençal wasn't horrible, the flavor was good and the scallops were fine, but the shrimp had a very off putting taste to it. I could only eat the scallops. For the prices paid, I'd expect better quality. This was just not the greatest and due to that I won't be ordering from here again. read more

We were at Georgine's for my cousin's graduation party. The waiters were really nice and served my brother and I some good Chicken Tenders, really tasty! Here are some Pro's and Con's about the venue place: PROS: Like I said, waiters were nice, food was tasty, and I really loved the place! CONS: They really need to fix the air conditioning for this place, especially for the dance floors since everybody who were invited to the party felt it. But overall, still good. read more

For everyone who's been missing Georgines Jr's I'm so glad to report that it's back, and renamed Georgine's Express! Georgines Express is now open directly across the parking lot from the original Georgines location! Same low prices with some changes and menu additions. I've attached the new menu in photos. Items like chicken parm still come with two sides or pasta but there is now a small and a large version. There are fewer side options but my favorites are still on this list! It's no longer cafeteria style, you order on a kiosk but tell your sides to the counter person once you order. I got the small chicken parm. It was still a very nice portion size. Sides came in small containers instead of the sectioned platters previously offered. Rice pudding and their famous cheese dips are available in the refrigerated cases. They still have a beer take out section but have added alcoholic slushies to go! They look yummy! The inside eating area is small. There are some video games and lottery available onsite as well. Unfortunately it is uncomfortably warm inside. I do not recommend eating onsite, I think this is more of a to go kind of location. I felt bad for the employees, I really hope they upgrade their HVAC. It's going to be awful inside during the 100 degree heat wave coming this week and also can't be good for food to sit in the heat. So, the last time I reviewed Georgines, my experience wasn't great, at all. After taking several years, the bride and I started visiting again about a year ago. We've been back multiple times since and I have to say that Georgines has redeemed themselves in spades!!! Without fail, I always get the surf and turf and every single time I go, it's predictably fantastic!!! I don't think the ownership has changed, but the management may have since my previous review. This is my secret favorite restaurant. Secret because I don't want it to get any busier than it already is! I don't agree with the avg rating for Georgine's on yelp and for this reason I'm submitting a rating. My family enjoys a special meal here 3x per year. Prices are quite reasonable for the delicious dishes. The main meal portions are quite satisfying although recently the appetizer portions have noticeably diminished. Some of their recipes are unique. Friends recommend the veal parmesan, steak and duck while a few family members favor seafood. The dessert menu is varied and again, with reasonable prices. Tables can be tight, but with good company and tasty dishes, I can handle it. Waiters/waitresses have always excelled with competence and demeanor, often deserving a premium tip for their attention and service. read more

Banquet after a funeral service. Wonderful service. Spacious dining room. Comfortable seating. Lucious Stuffed shells were so divine/ green beans / and potato/salad /! (They also had some beef gravy dish as well as ham with pineapple on top. I didn't try it.) Desert offerings were chocolate cake, cheese cake and strawberry cake. Our reservation was for 645 but we were not seated until 730. We were told others made reservations too and they would be seated first. The food was good except for my overpriced $38 crab imperial which was slightly burnt and extremely small!! I wasn't going to send it back as we waited quite a while for our food. My daughter had the veal Oscar which was a tad tough. The other two dinners were good, not great. I was quite disappointed. The bill was over 200 with only water to drink and no dessert. The highlight was our server Joshua. We won't be going back. Too many other places that are much better. read more

Always great food & we had great service from Joshua. Very accommodating with bringing us a pitcher of iced tea since we go through several glasses. We have been hearing about Georgine's for years and finally tried it on 7/18. The service was fantastic- but the food and ambiance was subpar and so disappointing. The chicken parmesan was just that- a large piece of over fried chicken- there was not an option for a side, but rather this very odd unappetizing potatoes and three pieces of steamed broccoli that were to be shared for two. Salad was included, but it was wilt, with tomatoes, a few small leaves of lettuce and a couple of pieces of cucumber in a very wet bowl. The ambiance was very odd- like a bad wedding banquet hall. My first visit to Georgine's was in 1987, after my that first experience, I would make the 50-minute drive with my family and friends many times a year. Life got busy, and it's been a little over 7 years since my last meal at Georgine's until 2 weekends ago. I was surprised how much the interior hadn't changed. The decor looked the same, but it didn't look worn down. It was clean and inviting. Our reservation for 6 people was at 6:30 p.m. we arrived at 6:25 p.m. and we were seated at 6:30 p.m. sharp. It was a Saturday night. The bar at the entrance was busy, and all the tables around us had customers. Our server greeted us warmly, but she apologized for not arriving sooner because she had 3 tables seated at the same time. The menu had a nice selection overall from the appetizers to the entrées. I thought in the past they had pasta selections, but this menu did not. That was okay for me because in the past I my favorite menu offering at Georgine's was their selection of steaks and the different ways they prepared them. I ordered the Clams Casino as my appetizer, and other people at my table ordered Lobster Bisque, Snapper Soup, and Minestrone Soup. All the appetizers received stars with the exception of the Minestrone. My wife had ordered the Minestrone, and she didn't care for it she said it was more like the consistency of a Chili rather than soup. She didn't send it back, but she only had 2 spoonfuls. For entrées I ordered Steak Neptune (Filet mignon topped with lump crab and hollandaise sauce). I loved the freshness and the amount of lump crab meat. The sauce was nice, and the steak was very tender and cooked perfectly medium as I ordered. My only complaint was the steak wasn't bigger! I remember ordering Steak Neptune in the past and having a hard time completing my meal. This time, it was over too soon. 4 stars. Other entrées at my table were Boneless Chicken Breast (Plump breast grilled to perfection with seasonal vegetables and topped with a dab if garlic butter) This recived 4 stars, it was juicy and the portion was perfect. 2 orders of Steak Diane (Chef's cut of filet with mushrooms and a rich brandy demi-glaze) my friends said it was very delightful the male wanted more when he finished the female thought the portion of steak was fine. 4 stars. Chicken Parmigiana, my wife, enjoyed the taste very much. The cutlet was thin, but it took up the whole plate. She was very happy with the taste and she couldn't finish the large portion so she had a nice lunch the next day. 4 stars. New York Sirloin Steak, out of the 4 steaks our table ordered, this was by far the biggest. My friend was satisfied with the taste and the tenderness of his steak. With our entrées completed, it was on to dessert. We ordered the following. Dark side of the Moon Rich chocolate layer cake (to satisfy chocoholics). 4 stars Hot Apple Pie Served with vanilla sauce or choice of ice cream. 4 stars. Creme Brulee A chilled rich custard topped with a texturally contrasting layer of hardened caramelized sugar. 4 stars. Reese's Peanut Butter Pie Creamy peanut butter, chunks of peanut butter cups on a graham cracker crust. 4 stars. New York Cheesecake. Served with melba sauce, fresh sliced strawberries. This was my order, very small, and it didn't seem homemade. stars. We all left happy that we made the trip back to Georgine's, and we all agreed we need not wait so long to go back again. I did notice a person at another table ordered a plain Filet Mignon that was way bigger than the Filet served with the Neptune. So on my next visit I'll order the Filet Mignon and pay extra to have it Neptune style. I can't wait!!! read more

The ABSOLUTE worst thanksgiving dinner I ever had, over occupancy, turkey tasted like salt and was extremely dry, stuffing tasted like sand. It was my first experience along with my family's. It WILL be my last. There was hair in my sisters steak as well. Based on a memory of 20 years ago, I made reservations for myself and partner. I've lived in California for the past 27 years and don't get back to this area as often as I'd like. Arrived a little early, no big deal. Once seated, I reviewed the menu and could have sworn there used to be pasta dishes here. I remember having the fried shrimp but was looking forward to lasagna and meatballs. I settled for Veal Marsala, which was delicious. My other half had French Onion Soup, which was also very good. This place is always highly talked about. My family and I went for a special birthday dinner and it was just disgusting. The restaurant itself was dirty, bathroom dirty. Seating was squished server sucked. The food was disgusting. Lobster bisque soup came out and didn't even look like that was what we ordered it was a weird color and had no lobster. I got the seafood special and was sick from it 2 hours after and all the next day...probably from the slimy scallops they served or the flat crab cake unknown really... someone got a steak and it was plain and unseasoned. The best part of the meal was the butter that came with the sub roll they called "bread" I don't get the hype! Don't waste your time or money here. Lastly, we ordered a cake as a surprise for the birthday on the phone when we made the reservation. Server knew nothing about it and when we mentioned it he said "well I didn't know" did nothing to get a clue and figure out. My bridal shower was yesterday at Georgine's. We didn't have many guests show so we were put in the area by the fireplace. It was perfect. My bridesmaids did an excellent job decorating the area. It was so cozy and we had the whole area/room to ourselves. The staff was great. Very attentive and quick with clearing off our dishes. The food was just amazing! We had a brunch buffet set up of fruit, potatoes, sausage and bacon, french toast, chicken and an omelette station. Everyone raved about the food. Not one bad thing was said about it at all. The desserts were a few different selection of cakes. I've been here a few times for dinner and was so happy my girls used Georgine's for my shower because I absolutely love their food. I used to go here once a month years ago before moving to Florida. I bragged to my daughter about the huge portions they served and that when I come back up I'd take her there. Last night 6/6/23 we went and I was less than impressed. $40 for a Prime Rib, $5 for a bottle of beer, the portions were nowhere near what I remembered and the quality of the food has gone down in my opinion. My family and I go to this restaurant every year for my grandmoms birthday. She always needs to get her annual lobster tails. My go to is the steak Neptune. It does seem like recently the place is more of a hit or miss. Larger groups also seem to make it harder to get the level of flavor we used to get like past years. It is a huge place that is great for bigger parties but the past few years the food hasn't been up to standards. We are always willing to give it another try a year later though so my grandmom gets her lobster tails. This past year we went with a smaller group and the flavor was better but my steak was still a bit undercooked. Haven't had a problem with the lobster tails yet though! read more

Georgine's was not our first choice tonight, but the original restaurant that told me over the phone that they had the prime rib special available wasn't when we were finally seated, had a drink, and then attempted to order. Our original choice was this restaurant specifically for the prime rib, so we left. Our second choice a few minutes away turned out had an hour wait, so on to choice number three, good-old-standby Georgine's. I've come here for decades but not often. We only had about a 20-minute wait for a table for two non-reservation, and although clean and decorated nicely for Christmas, I don't think this place has been updated since I first started coming here in my high school years which is a long time ago. Thankfully, the king cut prime rib special was available. Both my wife and I had it; medium rare for me, medium for the wife. We also split the special appetizer of eggplant lightly fried and rolled up with several cheeses in a vodka blush sauce. This was wonderful and if it were larger it could have been the meal itself. The huge prime rib portion also came with a side salad which was nothing special, but was very fresh and crispy. The prime ribs were cooked perfectly and so good. We both saved more than half of them to bring home for a really decent breakfast. The vegetables of baked potatoes, carrots, and green beans were also cooked well. I would have had a full plate of the carrots as they were very tasty. Along with a soda and Captain and Coke (Yea! Coke products here!), our bill was $86 not including tip. One shared appetizer, cocktail, soda, two specials. Service was friendly and helpful. read more

Went here hungry for pasta, and left a little disappointed. The ambiance is nothing special, a little outdated. The service was good. The bread was a room temp half of a baguette, nothing fresh or warm. It came with packets of butter and two flavors of cream cheese I think? Definitely lack-luster bread for a place with $20-$50 meals. All the meals come with a house or Cesar salad, which couldn't be swapped out for soup which disappointed me. The entrees were broken up into chicken, seafood, steak, or veal. Most of the entrees didn't come with pasta--even the chicken parm. It came with a little plate of veggies. I also want to mention our servers , Raelynn and Dominic . they made our visit so much more enjoyable . Every year my Mom goes to Georgine's for her lobster tails for her birthday dinner. This year (91!) was no exception. Four of us went and we all enjoyed our meals. My sister tried the Lobster Francaise for the first time and loved it. She also, once again, enjoyed her Scallops a la Georgine as her go to appetizer. Nice and cheesy! My niece would have liked her steak done a little more, she felt it was a little more medium rare than medium, but said the steak was very tender. She enjoyed the crab meat on top, as well! Her coconut shrimp were the perfect appetizer for her, too! The birthday girl loved her lobster tails - she was happy she was given a choice of one, two or three. In the past, she was never given the option. She chose two and it was just right. She also loved her steamed clams as her appetizer. I decided on the broiled seafood combo and it was very tasty. Plenty to eat there, and plenty leftover to take home for dinner or lunch for the next day. I like bed how they wrapped the fish around the crabmeat. Great presentation! First time here. Place is in an odd location-but whatever. The food was good. My crab imperial was good-my partner's veal parmigiana was good. Bread should have been toasted it was a little rubbery. Caesar salads were excellent! Strawberry crepes were excellent. Nothing to do with the food-but the lay out of the place struck me as a little odd-like they kept adding things on to an already existing building. Had my wedding reception there. Feb 16,1996 in 17 inches of snow. Wedding was at Queen of heaven in cherry hill Nj about 35 minutes away on a good day. People till this day say they will never forget my wedding. The service staff were amazing. From Joe who ran things to every waiter/Waitress the DJ,the cake my guess is Joe is probably no longer with us great man. We will never forget Georgines staff and how calm they seemed. As a HUGE fan of Georgine's I really wanted to have my wedding rehearsal dinner there. My future MIL called to reserve for a Friday and the lady on the phone did not ask how many people, time, nothing.. she just told her they cannot do Fridays due to the comedy show they throw in the one room eventhough they have rooms upstairs as well. They lost out on 50 guests on a Friday at 5pm. As a very loyal customer for years, I dont think I'll be back after that.‍ read more
