La Choza is an incredible restaurant. Very clean with great atmosphere. The food is really good and everyone is very friendly. Also, it's a BYOB. We have been here several times and have never been disappointed. read more

La Choza Restaurant Latin Cuisine - Supreme burrito, Mexican platter (fajita), and a side of chi Harrods. Everything was very tasty. - Latin American Near Me - Croydon, Pennsylvania

Order delivery from this food. Their empanadas were mid. Fried, dough was crunchy and the chicken filling was bland. The lomo saltado was under seasoned, the meat was tough. Not worth a try. read more

I discovered La Choza on DoorDash, and one thing I love about Latin cuisine is how well they prepare pork, so I knew I had to try it. I ordered the fried pork chops, which came with white rice and beans, salad, and sweet plantains. The delivery arrived hot and was packaged well. As expected, the food was delicious and seasoned perfectly. I definitely recommend giving them a try! read more

08/27/2924 The service was good and the restaurant was clean. My first time there, I was looking for Latin food near Bensalem and found this restaurant just 3.6 miles away. For drinks I ordered a passion fruit juice which was not bad at all, it just needed a little sugar and for starters I ordered some fried calamari which I could chew like gum. For dinner I ordered a shrimp mofongo which had a nice plantain flavor but the shrimp were also like gum. The food was not that great because the seafood was not fresh, but the service was very good and that is why I gave them one star. read more

This place is amazing. I had the churrasco Argentino and loved every bite. The maduros are fried in clean oil, were perfectly ripe and tasted just like my mom fried it. My mom and sister also loved their Guava smoothie. read more

First time at this place. From the decor in the building, I felt like I was home on the island. Starting with the empanadas were stuffed with chicken, and very delicious. Bistec encebollado tasted just like mom made it. The server was very shy with a great sense of humor. I will be back read more

La Choza Restaurant in Croydan PA review My husband and I went here for the first time in 7/27/24. On their page on FB, they had a deal but one burrito meal and get one free. I filled out application and was sent the deal via messenger. We went there and I showed them the deal, when we clicked on it the link would not work, which is at their end. We suggested let's order the two meals and take one off at the end, since it was not our fault the link didn't work! They said they would not do it. We're here for the first time and you're throwing our business away, We got up and left, as I was leaving I said not the way to encourage new business or for us to come back. Please don't give them your business! My husband doesn't complain about anything and he was so pissed off about this! read more

I really have loved the food here but had an odd experience last weekend. Went with a party of 6. 3 people ordered beef soft tacos. All of them said the meat had no flavor. When asking the waiter he instructed that they ordered ground beef and not seasoned ground beef? They ended up having to order other items and the tacos were not removed from the bill. They took it home to feed their pets. Also the bill came and refills were not free. It's always nice to share that when people order multiple refills. read more

Little Mexican/Latin spot in Croyden. Good sized menu and decent prices. BYOB which is great and rare for a mexican place! Service is SLOOOOOOOOOW. Maybe due to COVID or nobody wanting to work anymore.... They give you standard chips. Nothing special about them. My only gripe is the little amount they give you. We had four people and they were gone in no time. We got a side of their "famous" cheese sauce which was good but again the container it comes in is sooo small. Meal was good, cheesesteak burrito. I'm comparing this place to my personal favorite Las Margaritas in far northeast philly. Las Margaritas gives you 4x more chips, huge bowl of cheese sauce, and burritos way bigger. I'd come back due to byob but not overly blown away. Atmosphere is very nice. read more

This place is amazing. As authentic as a Irishmen who had a PR mother in law who could cook can judge. Their Wednesday FREE lunch buffet is no joke. You just pay for beverages. The menu items are off the hook. Burritos, enchiladas, tripe dishes. Truly amazing food. The service is great and friendly. Not all servers speak great English. But be patient and friendly and you'll get it back two fold. I would highly recommend this place and I will support it frequently. read more

Byob. A ton of menu items to choose from. Empanadas, in my option we're terrible. The shrimp mofongo tasted great. My friend ordered the Guatemalan chicken and she loved it. For the tres leches to go, and had it the next day and it was ok. read more

I cannot even believe how amazing tonight's dinner was. We suddenly had a couple hours and decided to try out La Choza! Ryan was super polite and a delight to have as our server. My Sour Sop smoothie was So flavorful and refreshing. I love this and it is a cancer fighter, too. We ordered the Shrimp MoFongo for my dinner and my husband ordered Burrito Supreme and everything had such a wonderful aroma. We cannot wait to return for future date nights. Thank you so much. read more

Excellent spot! The food was fantastic. It is really nice inside as well. I can highly recommend it. The horchata was good, the chorizo burrito was perfect. Nice server as well. All around A+. I just wish they would get churros on that menu. Keep up the great work! I will be back! read more

Great place to eat for authentic food. Service was good and food was delicious. Come hungry, lots of great dishes to try.

Another terrific experience at La Choza. Top notch service from Maribel who took excellent care of us. I had the Seco de Chivo, (goat stew) with sweet plantains, yucca and a salad. The goat was very tender and the gravy was savory. The yucca was perfect for sopping up the gravy. Husband had the Parillada Mexicana and loved it. Grilled shrimp, Mexican sausage, chicken and beef sautéed with tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and peppers. They kicked it up a notch for him and added jalapeños. They also had a live singer who was honestly, supremely talented. We were surprised at his pipes. We love the food, decor and the staff and now, the entertainment. Can't wait to go back. read more

Believe it or not this little spot is one of the best places in Bucks County for real latin food. And it's in Croydon of all places. The restaurant is clean and nice and the service was prompt and friendly. I have no idea what the people giving one Star reviews are talking about. I suspect they don't either. My wife on the other hand, is South American and knows exactly what she's talking about when it comes to Spanish food. We've been here a few times and the food has been great! We always start with the Empanadas. Both the beef and chicken are very good. I've had both the La Choza Fajitas (Steak, Chicken, and Shrimp) and the Tacos de Carnitas. Both are straight up excellent! My wife has had the Shrimp Mofongo and Picada Colombiana. These are legit latin dishes done right. To top it off, everything is reasonably priced! I say give it a shot. If you like Hispanic cuisine, your other nearby options are joints like "On The Border" or God Forbid, the "El Paso" on Route 13. I like it and will be a regular from now on. read more

I Uber someone up here and was absolutely surprised to see a Latin restaurant in Croydon. Located just 5 minutes from street road. I didn't realize how big the restaurant was until I got inside. The place looked like it could easily be a banquet-restaurant. They were a few cool decor on the walls but for the most part, it was clean looking and not overly clustered with unnecessary designs. The menu was pretty extensive, inclusive of Tex Mex, Mexican, Colombian and Peruvian dishes. My waitress Andrea was pretty cool and recommended some great items. I opted for the Lomo Saltado with an extra order of arepa and Camarones empanizados (fried shrimps). The shrimps came out first and they were huge, for $10, you're getting a lot of shrimps. As far as flavor goes, the breading was a bit oily and I think could have used a bit more seasoning. The shrimps themselves were very tasty. I also really like the crunch. My Lomo Saltado was pretty good. The beef was very tender and buttery. The sauce was just right without being too salty or too sweet. The problem was the French fries mixed into the stir fry. Usually in Lomo Saltado, the beef is stir fried separately and then poured over the rice and fries. This process allow for the fries to stay crispy and for the sauce to cover everything. As it was done here at La Choza, the fries soaked up all the sauce and made the dish quite dry. The fries themselves got really starchy due to all the liquid it absorbed. I will tell them to leave the fries separate next time as I think the flavors were very decent. I will definitely come again to try different dishes. The restaurant was new and clean and the staff very friendly. The food was great but needed some minor improvements, nothing to stop one from trying this place out. A hidden gem in the area, come by and support them while getting some delicious food in. read more

We ate at La Choza for the first time tonight and HOLY COW their food was amazing! My husband and Mother In Law are Puerto Rican and know Authentic food and where equally as empressed and ready to go back lol !! Our waiter was so nice poor guy was waiting all tables by himself as they where short staffed due to COVID; however he handled everything with kindness & professionalism. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and will definitely be returning! read more

La Choza Restaurant Latin Cuisine - a table full of food and drinks - Latin American Near Me - Croydon, Pennsylvania

Hard to beat a well executed asada taco - steak, white onions, cilantro, hot sauce in two corn tortillas with a side of limes and radishes. La Choza has it nailed. Haven't had the chance to get deeper in the menu yet but definitely will be back for more. Easily best Latin food in the area read more

Peruvian friend and his wife brought me here. It was a delight. Cozy atmosphere with attentive, friendly wait staff. The food was spot on. My friend was saying how authentic the food and decor was. The burritos looked delicious. I had the Supreme Enchiladas which were very good. The calamari was superb and hit the spot. Had my first Inca Cola and it was surprisingly good - almost like a pineapple cream soda. Delicious. Looking forward to going again and trying something else from the extensive menu. read more

We probably won't be ordering from here again. Food is okay now but it's bland and flavorless. Mostly disappointed by the empanadas. They are half the size as they were a few months ago, and the filling was mostly just masa dough with a few shreds of chicken. They used to be twice the size and the filling used to be mostly meat. read more

I wish i got a picture but i didn't it was soo good!! Ordered the salmon dinner with mash and asparagus..ordered Tamales ...tres leches cake..empanadas..yellow rice...omg it was all so good. Best restaurant experience I've had this far in the Bensalem croydon area read more

I went here before with some friends and the experience wasn't too impressive. So I decided to give it a second shot, and support my fellow Latinx entrepreneurs, but it totally disappointed me and it was quite lame. I ordered a lunch meal (beef stew) $10 -not beverages included. But what I got was two pieces of beef stew and two chunks of potato. When I complained about the ridiculous portion, I was told that it was good meat (huh?) and it was a lunch meal. I felt robbed and costumer service was very poor. I uploaded the pic of my plate. I really care for business to grow, but this place is empty almost all the time, service is poor and unless you feel generous an give up money for free, I recommend folks to go somewhere else with your money. read more

Restaurant was beautiful food was absolutely delicious, there were enough choices if someone doesn't want Mexican they can eat whatever but the seafood burrito was amazing and the combination platters were excellent. Authentic. Our waitress barely spoke English, which meant we were in the right place. She was also a charmer! Outstanding food and decor and service. My only criticism is that the chips seemed store-bought. Also, ask for the green Verde sauce along with their salsa. Then mix the two together for the perfect salsa! We will go back! Superb food! Supreme! read more

My wife is Venezuelan and we both love this restaurant. We went there for Mother's Day and they had a live mariachi singing traditional latino music. We had a wonderful time. The staff here is always incredibly polite and gracious and the food is outstanding. This is a family friendly restaurant where children are welcome and did I mention the food is excellent as well? I always order the Picada Columbiana and it's more food than 2 people could possibly eat. The prices are also excellent. Thanks to the staff of La Choza for anther great experience. We ate and danced on Mother's Day! read more

We had high hopes for some good Mexican food from the reviews and could not have been more disappointed. The carne quisada meat was a grisly fat chew, the empanadas were like tough corn footballs and the enchiladas were stuffed with some unidentifiable substance akin to an old chicken breast. The food wasn't just lacking in taste and composure; it was inedible and ended up in the trash. read more

This is our new favorite place for Mexican food. Bucks county has been lacking a place like this. We expanded our search a tad further out and found la Choza. Excellent variety on the menu (though - to be honest - I think they could cut a few things as I'm not sure they need to include pasta, lol. ). The chicken mole was to die for. We will definitely be back. read more

Really impressed with this place. The atmosphere and decor is so authentic and beautiful. The restaurant was very clean. Chips and salsa are complimentary and are served immediately when you are seated. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it's one of the best I've ever had. Noooooo. Just no. Chips were stale. Salsa was just ok. Chicken fajita was served on a hot skillet over lettuce leaves? Rice flavor was not good. I needed a soda refill and it took over 20 minutes to get one and we were the ONLY people in the restaurant. I wanted to like it. We need a good place like this in the area. This is not the place. I wouldn't even try it again. Ladies working there were nice enough and the decor and cleanliness were good. Just not the food so much. read more

My first experience was amazing here then I order the same exact food like I order last time. My ropa vieja had hot and cold piece of meat. My rice was cold. My plantain wasn't sweet. Huge disappointment. I won't be back! Then the guy who I guess was the manager or owner tried to argue with me saying it was hot and he touched it himself. I swear people are so freaking inconsiderate to their customers! I explained to him I had order the same thing not even 2 to 3 weeks ago and my food was amazing now i'm beyond disappointed! read more

It's a shame, we used to eat here weekly. Their service started to decline specially during takeout. It seems as you are not as important because you are taking food to go. We started to notice that the portions for the takeout food was smaller each time (much smaller) the last time we ordered, we brought to their attention nicely, the waitress was rude over the phone and we STILL ordered. The order wasn't right. We ordered chicken and beef empanadas and they gave us all beef, no sauce as requested, and the portion came even smaller for the fajitas and yuca. My husband got food poisoning. We ordered Friday and he couldn't even go to work on Monday. It was a disaster, I sent them a message and they viewed it but never responded. Obviously, don't care about their loyal customers. read more
