WOW!!! Doma was an absolute experience. This quaint dining spot in Bernal Heights was a true surprise for us. My husband did a great job finding this place and certainly did not disappoint us. One of the best Omakase dining experience. Let's not forget all the fresh seafood and wagyu beef was so "Oishi!" We can't wait to go back. Perfect Anniversary Dinner for us.

We had our post-Christmas dinner here, and it was beyond lovely. The atmosphere was wonderfully private, and the couple who run the restaurant are incredibly friendly and sweet. Every course of the omakase was delicious. Having visited many sushi spots, we can honestly say the quality and experience surpassed a 1-Michelin-starred restaurant we've been to! The fish was exceptionally fresh and tender; we left wanting more. The scallop, toro, uni, and wagyu were the absolute standouts.

Found this little hole-in-the-wall gem and decided to celebrate our anniversary here--such a great decision! It was quiet, intimate, and felt like a secret spot just for us. Only one other party was dining, which made the experience even more special. We did the omakase, and every piece of sushi was beautifully prepared and stayed true to traditional flavors. Nothing flashy--just incredibly fresh, thoughtful bites. Had a genuinely great time and left full and happy. Definitely a hidden gem worth revisiting.

My spouse and I had an anniversary dinner here. We were the only guests dining so we had an intimate experience. The sushi was creative and fresh. The omakase is reasonably priced and a good value for the 12+ dishes we enjoyed. The sushi chef was fast and polite, although he didn't seem interested in chatting much even though we were the only guests dining. I'm not sure why, but the beverages are all overpriced - $20 for a pot of tea, $20 for a bottle of sparkling water, $19 per glass of wine without any indication of the wine type. We skipped drinks besides water

I never liked eating omakase or sushi in general, but Doma was the best omakase I've ever had, taste-wise and experience-wise. We were celebrating a birthday on a slower Wednesday night. The owners were very sweet, they were understanding even though my party ran 30 minutes late. They have a little floral wall so it's nice for photo ops too. The food was amazing. Normally, I wouldn't enjoy eating omakase but the food quality and quantity was just right. I actually left feeling full and did not need to order supplemental course. It's a little hard to find as it's located in a neighborhood, but worth it. Business looks a little slower compared to all the omakase spots in SF, but the quality and service is definitely worth it. I would for sure come back.

I came here earlier this year for Valentine's day with my girlfriend, and I have to say this is probably one of the most value for your dollar Omakase that you'll find within SF. While $150 is still a lot, for Omakase in the bay area it actually is a pretty good price as you get the whole experience watching the chef prepare the food for you. The inside is homey and well-decorated, with around 15 seats or so at the table around the chef who is in the middle. The service is great, and the chef/waiters are very attentive to everything you need. The food here is great and very high quality, as all the slices of fish are very fresh and imported from Japan. The flavors are top-notch, and it's a show when you get to see the chef use the torch on them right before you eat them. There is a wide variety of items, ranging from monkfish to uni to beef sashimi with gold flakes and caviar on top! I came out of here feeling full, so I think I definitely got my money's worth. Doma seems like a more local spot in SF, and so it might fly under a lot of people's radar. Highly recommend checking it out when you're able to!

I highly recommend this place to everyone, it is such a hidden gem! The place itself is very cozy and relaxed, it is very unique in compare to all other omakase places. Service was excellent, both the sushi chef (owner?) and his wife (server?) were very friendly and sweet. They made our dining experience even better. Highlight of this place is definitely the food! Each piece was well explained and has its own uniqueness. I enjoyed every bite here (which doesn't happen to me often) All fish were fresh, decent and high quality, portion were very generous that we were so full after. And not to mention their dessert! Everything was very well put together. It is a perfect place for a date night or a casual hangout.

Wagyu and caviar with gold flake

Amazing local sushi spot! Incredibly fresh fish, flavors were on point, and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend for a casual date night or special event (I celebrated my 30th here)

Bait and switch... how is this a mom and pop shop do this

Same as another reviewer. It is hard to get an omakase Valentine's Day reservation and my partner and I booked this place and dropped the other reservations we had thinking it was a cute mom and pop shop. They text us a week before Valentine's Day saying they have a special menu and increased the price two fold in a text message. All other restaurants state their Valentine's Day specials upfront on tock. This is clearly a bait and switch and they know it's impossible to make another reservation this late at other places so you are forced to accept their bait and switch.. this is so disingenuous and such a scummy move. Another reviewer warned people already, should have heeded their warning

Can someone confirm for me that they're open for lunch on Saturdays? I see pictures that show lunchtime but the hours seem non updated.

I just walked by earlier, and their sign said 6-10pm every day. So They must not do lunch anymore.

What is their phone number? Trying to make a reservation but don't know how.

They don't have one that I've seen from walking by - I haven't had a problem just dropping by and getting seated

We were seated pretty quickly on a Sunday evening, and there were a couple of other parties there. They had a sign advertising a special where you can order two items from a list and it comes with soup, salad, and rice, but we ended up just splitting two house special rolls - the Salmon Mango roll and Rock N Roll roll (tuna, avocado, spicy mayo). Both were delicious. I particularly liked the Salmon Mango roll - it was a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The rolls came with 8 pieces each and each piece was a good size, so it was plenty for two of us. I also got a Sapporo beer (bottle) to sip on. Overall, good experience - quick, efficient service and satisfying meal.

I think expectations are usually low when going to these types of spots but given the quality and price, it's actually pretty surprising. I usually stop by for dinner on weeknights. It can get busy sometimes but I've never waited more than 10-15 minutes. Service is quick and friendly. The goal is to get you seated and taken care of right away. Once you sit down, it's game on.
