Not very (small) child friendly aside from the lazy River so make sure you have an extra set of hands if you're the parent who plans on going down BIG slides and such. Was clean however, and lifeguards were very attentive to the rides. They do have a few areas that are kid friendly but children bust teach a certain height, parents are not permitted on the slide with their child so making sure kid knows water safety prior to going is a MUST. read more

Love this park! It is so clean and the employees are fantastic. There are lots of slide and pool options for all abilities and preferences. Make sure to check out the "racer" slides at the front. They are my favorite and vecause they are so close to the entrance, there is rarely a line. I gave 4 stars because there are not enough food stations in the park. If you plant to eat after about 11:30, plan to stand in line for an hour. Even the Beaver Tail dessert line is usually 15-20 minimum. It would also be nice to see more fresh options. Otherwise, this place is great and I highly recommend getting the season pass! read more

Splash Country - overall park was ok and had a good day. Went on a few rides. Fast passes are a problem when people need to wait 2 hours for a ride and you see same group with a fast pass go through multiple times. This needs to be limited. Fast passes are getting more value for their money than those without. Need to put a limitation or time constraints on going on the same rides. read more

Splash Country Waterpark ~ We traveled from West Texas to visit this waterpark so my fiancé's 13 year old daughter could have a fun, memorable experience. I grew up in Boone, NC and had been here a couple times before. First off, there is ONE tram going to and from the entrance. Not so bad for us, but a difficult time for his daughter, who has special needs (tip-toe walking), especially walking back to the truck after an all day experience. I would have given this one star, but the food here is amazing. Service at food stands...not so much. Highly unprofessional at every one we stopped by. Lifeguards at the end of each ride just literally sat in their covered chair with no offer to help if we struggled at the end of the slides. At the top of the Big Bear Plunge, the three of us had to take it upon ourselves to figure out the ride was ready. The two teenage girls working there, were WAY too busy telling every guy there that "I'm 17!" and "I'm 19!" and flirting with every young male that came through the line, asking their age. The 17 year old kept announcing and clapping that some guy from yesterday actually asked her for her gmail and not her Snapchat! Definitely a not-so-fun memorable experience - not once acknowledging our presence as a family, telling us where to sit on the raft, to hold on (common sense, I know)...but come on! It's a family park, not a dating scene! Then, when we came to the end, the tube hit so hard in the water that our necks jammed into our backs (actually popping loud), our lower backs got jammed up so badly and we had a hard time getting out! The Mountain Twist tore us up!! The three of us each took a lane to see who could get to the bottom first. My fiance came out of there with a bloody knee, bloody toes, and nearly came off the mat. I came out with a busted elbow, bloody toes, a lung full of water and bruised shoulder. Which we covered up our wounds accordingly. Not sure why we weren't allowed to wear our water shoes on these slides as we purchased them inside the park. What's the point of having water shoes if we can't wear them?! But thank God we bought them. There were fresh blood "puddles" (big ones) all over the concrete in various places. Overall, this park could use some pretty major updates/improvements. Instead of building more resorts for the property, updates to the parks should be a requirement...as well as hiring employees who aren't out there looking for a "good time" ... but ensuring families have a great experience! The wave pool was a joke. There were so many people all you could do was stand in place, or be floated into other kids and other adults. The "lazy river" was more of an "anxiety river!" Way too many people fighting over tubes at the entrance, kids swimming underneath people, racing and screaming on-foot, floating into other kids and adults and was just plain out stressful! There is nearly ZERO covered/shaded areas, and the SMALL bungalows must be rented days prior to your visit. Who knew?! The entire park rides still looked like they did when I was there in 2000. I love giving great reviews, and hardly EVER give any bad ones. But I feel families should be treated a bit better. This visit was just not at all what we had hoped for. Just wanted to write a special thank you to the kids running the River Rush ride! We had waited in line, but when we got to the ride, my 7 year old niece became really scared and started to cry. These folks stopped the ride, and "babysat" her when we all rode the ride! They talked her down, and tried to get her to be brave enough to ride it! In the end, they let my other niece take her place, so I think they got to ride it twice! Here's a shout out to Mikayla and Austin, who were so kind to all of us, even though they didn't need to be! No time saver pass for paying the ridiculous rates to stay at the resort, no benefits at all for being a season pass holder, if you think flying out of Atlanta is bad, it has nothing on the cattle hearding going on here, maybe because it was 90 degrees it was way overcrowded, but it was nowhere near as enjoyable as the theme park but with twice the wait times for the slides. read more

Our family of four enjoyed our Friday at Splash Country. Our day was refreshing after visiting Six Flags White Water earlier in our trip. The staff members were attentive and friendly. The park was clean. The rides were awesome and offered something for everyone in our party. There were multiple food options. On the day of our visit, the water coaster was closed. We were told they're waiting on a part. This was a bummer but the good highly outweighed they bad. It was crowded but we expected that traveling the week of July 4th. This water park is a great one to visit. While it isn't the largest park that I've been to, it had many water slides and several kid parks with pools. It may have been a special day, but there was a DJ playing music by the wave pool which made it more enjoyable (went on a Tuesday). The lazy river had some cool inter tubes that resembled chairs (never seen these before). Something that I did find frustrating was that due to Covid, they weren't letting small groups ride the big raft rides. You had to have 3 or 4 people in your group. This place was pretty nice for a water park. It was a bit pricey for a one day ticket, $59.99 per person, especially when you add $25 parking, then $17 for locker rental, but we went cuz my autistic son really wanted to go. We mainly did the Lazy River and the Wave Pool. My son absolutely loved the wave pool, and didn't want to get out. They had a fairly good selection of food too, and we liked the Pizzas! And reasonable prices on the food, for a water park. The only real complaint I had was that the bathrooms could of been a bit cleaner, and there were no dedicated changing areas... just bathroom stalls or shower stalls. I did really like the music they played on the loud speakers. We had fun, got sunburnt, even with reapplying sunscreen, so make sure you have a high SPF and apply often. Easy to park and enter, had to unroll every single towel to show we weren't sneaking anything in. Maybe have metal detectors and wands if you are worried about weapons. Maybe invent a snack detector while you are at it. I was happy that I was allowed to bring in my Yeti cup filled with ice. I've never been a fan of paying for bottled water. You can refill ice and water at the Coca-cola freestyle machine, and I saw people stealing soda so you might want to lock that down. Great variety of slides, excellent wave pool with concert area, lazy river was very relaxing. The lifeguards are wildly inconsistent and goofing off with each other. I wear water shoes to protect my feet and some of the teenage lifeguards will power trip and tell you to remove them while others don't care. I'm an adult and assume all risk, but will respect authority if you choose to kick me off a ride. If Disney water parks allow water shoes I'm sure Dollywood should review their policy. The campsite grill was a horrendous experience. Waited over an hour for chicken tenders and fries. One line for ordering and one for picking up. The lines aren't marked so some people waited 20 minutes before they figured out they were in the pickup line. Next time, I will drive offsite to fast food or tailgate out of a RTIC cooler. Wait times were long, but wasn't going to fork over $50 for a time saver pass. read more

It's a fun time. For a water park, it's fairly clean and I was happy that the bathrooms were pretty clean too. However, I would say they may need to make a few more bathroom options. On a crowded day, you will be waiting. There are three areas for kids. One for older kids that has more of the pouring water on you. I really loved cascade falls. It felt like a resort in Hawaii actually. As a mom that gets to watch her kids slide over and over, it wasn't a bad place to hang around. The lazy river is always worth it too. And I like all the medium slides. My one complaint is the money making machine that is the lockers. I almost wish a locker was included in your stay, because naturally you do have to have a place to put your money and car keys without the risk of it getting stolen. But it took us 20 mins outside of our time in the morning to figure out the lockers and then the screen frozen. It's also ridiculously priced at 10 bucks. If you aren't a gold pass member, you will also be paying 15 for parking. So the hidden fees do get you. The food was ok. I got the kids burger and the price was fairly good and the size of the burger was perfect. Other meals looked to be 10-13 dollars and didn't look amazing for such a high price point. I did love the price we got at a promo price, since it was August. I would not pay over that to be honest. Especially if it were in the heart of June or July and super crowded. We were there open to close and definitely didn't ride everything but it wasn't as crowded as summertime and we had small kids that didn't want to ride the bigger rides. I would also recommend splash country stay open at least till 7. At 6pm, it's still hot out and sunny. 10-6 would not be worth the 60 dollar price to attend. We were throughly impressed with splash country we have been to several water parks across america and splash country was a pleasant surprise to nearly top the list. A great variety of slides and attractions, delish food and a giant lazy river to top it off. The staff all seem to be very pleasant (unlike alot of parks) and it was very clean considering the amount of traffic they get. I ding it for the cost of everything. $12 to reserve a locker with a $5 refundable deposit. Really? Get there early...,like when the park opens. Otherwise you may find yourself without a locker and without a lawn chair. The pavement gets EXTREMELY hot so wear Crocs or cheap flip flops between rides. It truly was a lifesaver and we didn't have to get her personal wheelchair wet. Besides the accessibility all the restrooms/ changing areas were helpful and gave enough space to move around. We have season passes to Dollywood but this was the first chance I had to head over to Splash Country this season. The weather was perfect since it was in the mid 90s. It was not very busy but it was a Sunday and local kids are back in school. I am sure in the summer is is busier as evidenced by the amount of chairs they have. There is so much to do for everyone and I love that they have built the waterpark surrounded by the beauty of the landscape. The mutli-rider rides/waterslides did have waits but they were not to bad 30-45 minutes. Single ride slides went a lot faster. We did the rides just once and spent a lot of time in the Lazy River and Wave Pool. You will find chairs all over the park so pick a spot and put down your stuff for a home base. They do have lockers available to rent for personal items that you need secured. We limit what we bring so we didn't use them. If you want privacy they do have cabanas you can rent starting at 45 for a two seater to 190 for a 10 person size with a TV and food service. The foods prizes are reasonable for being at a waterpark and the lines went pretty fast. You cannot bring outside food in but there is a picnic area right outside the gate so you can keep a cooler in your car and step out for lunch. We had a great time and are going to try and sneak in one more visit this weekend before they close for the season. read more

Definitely a Dolly property as the employees were as kind as could be, things were clean, and my kids had a wonderful tome. It is on the smaller side, but there is something for everyone from thrilling slides (no thanks) to the lazy river (my speed). I was very pleased with the canopy we rented. It was very reasonable at $50 (I've seen other parks charge 4 times that) and included a shade and locked box for items you may worry cohoe be stolen. You do need to reserve in advance and they do sell out. For the lazy river hold out for one of the clear tubes with a seat. My only disappointment was the food. The choices were slim and on the day we went they were sold out of "healthier" choices like the grilled chicken wrap I would have preferred. The rest of the food choices are nothing special and were nowhere near the quality you find next door at Dollywood. When we visit Pigeon Forge again in the future, I would come if it was free with my package again... but wouldn't pay extra. read more

Campsite Grill, short staffed. We went to DollyWood Splash Country On Friday July 13, 2018 at 10:00 in the morning. My son loves water park at , Dollywood splash country. Most of the lines, was about a 45 minutes to an hour wait. After riding two water rides and waiting about 2 hours to ride the water rides. My son and I was very hungry and wanted to sit down and eat before we leave since the park closes at 7pm. We decided to have lunch at , Dollywood splash Country Campsite Grill. The campsite Grill, was very short staffed our cashier was Olivia. We was in line from 1:52 until 3:23, waiting to get something to eat. The line didn't, move for over an hour every line at Campsite Grill was very slow. I hope the next time, we go back to Dollywood Splash Country Campsite grill we don't wait for almost 2 hours for a small pepperoni pizza with only 4 pepperoni at $7.99 and 2 cheese sticks for $4.99 plus tax. read more

The lady told me she could not take my reservations and would have to go on line. I asked about a cabana rental and she told me she would need to look up. I'm normally not one that enjoys a water park but this park was great! Very family friendly and great rides! There is one that feels like a rollercoaster that was my favorite ride! The lines aren't terribly long if you go to the park early - the later it is the longer the lines are. I also recommend getting food early because once it's lunch time the lines are very long (longer than some ride lines). We also went to a little food stand in the back hoping it wouldn't be busy but they already ran out of food. The beaver tails were okay - something that most people could make at home. read more

I am writing my review as the perspective of a mom with a 9 month old and 4 year old. PROS: The park has a lot of entertainment options: a wave pool, lazy river, two kiddie splash stations, and many, many slides. The park is clean, and life jackets are available everywhere for the kiddos. You can bring your own, too. There are two private, air conditioned rooms for nursing moms or for parents who want to change their children out of wet clothes / diapers. There are many, many places to sit or store your items. Lots of covered areas. The food options are very limited but tasty. Lockers are easily accessible. The music can be heard throughout the park, and it is nice to switch from country to pop to classic rock, etc... CONS: I stood in line from 1:25 to 2:07 pm to order a garden burger with fries. Luckily, my 9 month old was calm and happy despite the long food lines that never seemed to move. I ordered, paid, and waited right there for 3-4 minutes before my food came out. The cashier did not take the next customer's order until I got my food. *sigh Suggestion: 1) Customer orders food and pays. 2) Cashier gives customer a receipt with a number already printed on it. 3) The customer stands aside or in a new line while the next customer orders and pays. 4) The customer's order number is called out by the Runner (not the Cashier). The food is given at a different but nearby window / location / line. Doing this makes the process run more smoothly. This isn't rocket science. Millions of other fast food establishments do it this way. For the overpriced $50 fee per person and obnoxious food wait, this waterpark earned the park 3 stars. Would I come back and pay the $50 fee per person? Honestly, as a mom with Littles, no. The park was nice, but we have waterparks just like this in Illinois with better food service that costs far less than $162 for 2 adults, 1 child, and 1 infant. read more

It has been several years since I have been to Splash country. Due to being a out of Towner and having a amusement park with a water park attached. Now last time I was there I liek the fact that some of the attraction are set back in the woods and u have trees for shade. Toward the back of splash country u one of those bucket tiling attraction and it's decent for its size and the buckets tips a-lot of water. Plus a Kids area with slides and a extreme type slide. The front of the park has a lazy river and a food stand. Also a family raft ride. U can also rent cabanas by the lazy river. It s clean but the concrete does get hot. If u have a super pass u can add Splash country for $60 more I do recommend it read more

I love this place and after not being there for a few years, I was pleasantly surprised that it was just as fun as I remembered. We got there early (around 9:15) and they let you get it and get ready but the rides don't open until 10. Which worked out because it gave us time to get out sunscreen and everything put together. We rented a canopy for the two of us and I would highly recommend it! It not only makes sure that you have a stop to go back to, it's also great shade to get you out of the sun a little. It was $45 but worth every penny! Since we were early we got to ride the rides over and over since there was no line which was awesome! All in all it was a great day! My only complaint is that the side walk is hot... like scorching hot... like i have blisters on the bottom of my feet hot. Take swim shoes or something comparable because you need them! read more

We had the fast pass watches which were great because you didn't have to wait in line at all. The water roller coaster is crazy fun and I highly recommend it! Also, if you can't find open chairs keep walking to the back of the park because there is an area in the back (the cascades) with a lot of seating.
