If you like waiting 2 hours for a 30 second ride or 1 hour to order food, this is the place for you! I went with a friend and her son recently, on June 1st and won't be back. We arrived at 11:30, much later than I wanted to start and everything was packed. First off, if you want to find a chair and aren't there immediately, you aren't getting one. We hunted for a while and every chair had a towel or bag on it, but nobody there. So we hunted for a locker and all of them were full, finally found one after an hour of searching and would just leave our towels and flip flops near where we were riding to avoid having to trek back. The locker system is decent at least. For $10 you can keep your stuff in there all day and they use credit cards. Just don't forget your birthday you use, color you picked or where the locker is. The lazy river was packed with people and there aren't enough tubes, so people fight over them and grab at them once you come back around. There wasn't even room to stretch out at all going down the lazy river because it was too crowded. After that, we decided to try riding a ride called River Rush. There are no signs to indicate how long the wait would be. We got in line at 1pm, and didn't ride the ride until 3pm. It took us 2 hours of waiting on hot boards before we got to enjoy the ride for 30 seconds. If we'd know we would wait 2 hours, we'd have done anything else. The ride was cute and a simple ride, but not worth a 2 hour wait. But it gets better! If you're willing to fork over double the price for your tickets, you can get their version of the fast pass and for $120 instead of $60, we watched for 2 hours as a few people rode the ride over and over and over again while we just waited to ride it once. There needs to be balance with this stupid system. The ride signs claimed they'd put us with other people to help the ride move faster. We watched two girls ride the ride at least 15-20 times. They would get off, run back around and get right back on with about a 2 minute wait. We saw them ride over and over and over again, slowing our line to an absolute crawl. It was great for them, but for us we just got angry. When we finally got up there after two hours, they even got right ahead of us as a final gesture of holding us up. Some other people had the $30 version of the pass and for them, they had to wait x amount of time before riding, but it was never very long. It only takes a few families to ensure that everyone else will wait a very long time to ride the rides. So it was now 3pm and we decided we were going to get lunch. We walked to the campfire grill and the line was insane. There were at least a hundred people each in two different lines leading up to it, so we decided not to eat there and found the mexican place and ordered there. It still took us 45 minutes in line, plus having to walk in crowds to get there. So we ate lunch finally at 4pm. There are not enough workers and with how expensive the food is, you'd think they'd have a ton made up in back to quickly get it out, and quite a few cashiers working but they don't. It's also next to impossible to get a table, and people fight over those too and won't share them even if there's only two people sitting there and the table can hold 6. We finished eating around 4:30, then got a dipping dots cup for dessert (took another 30 minutes). Finally, with only 1 hour left we just went in the wave pool and sat in there until it was 6 and they kicked everyone out. Why does a water park close at 6pm in the summer when it's light out for 2 more hours? What the heck is wrong with Splash Country? I'm still mad and it's been over a week. To pay $60 a person and to get to ride one ride, one pass of the lazy river and the wave pool, while the rest of the time is spent in lines. Dollywood splash country needs to hire more workers, fix the fast pass system so people can't abuse it endlessly and post signs to indicate how long the wait will be for a ride. They should load more people into each raft like they say they will which would speed the lines up dramatically, and stay open later to give people a chance to actually ride the rides. They also need to greatly expand the park so people spread out instead of all being on top of each other. I will never come back here. What a waste of money. read more

I have no words! It was an absolute blast!! Obviously, the lines are like any other amusement park but I'd say most of the rides lines move really fast. I rode 8 out of the 15 rides and they were all so fun!! We were there for about 7 hours, so each ride was about a 30 minute wait just because part of that 7 hours was lunch and rain. The wait was worth it though!! If I could give this 6 stars, I would!! Overall, amazing!! It lived up to its name, and what everyone has said about it!! Our family of 5 had such a great time! There are water areas for every age! Our family moved from the little kid area for our 4 year old to a bigger splash pad area for everyone including our 8 year old. Then on to the water slides for everyone or Dad and the 13 year old. We enjoyed the variety and ended our day with the lazy river. We will definitely be back! read more

The trip was amazing. We came to celebrate our son's adoption anniversary. We rented a cabana and I was just amazed. The check-in process was so easy and the team that assisted was great. Andrew escorted us to our "retreat" and ensured we understood the rules of the park with COVID-19 and also how to take advantage of the "room service" option for ordering food. Andrew stopped by to say thanks and checked on us as well during the day. I think Andrew did a great job and the others that were delivering and helping with food service. When we ordered we asked for some extra ketchup (minor detail, but they definitely delivered). Thanks again to Andrew and the many other team members of the "retreat team." I only stayed for 3 hours and only got to ride two rides. Every ride had a rule which made our visit annoying. One ride made us turn around because we had to take our shoes off and they didn't bother mentioning that until we were almost ready to get on. Dollywood Splash Country is awesome!! We attended what was described as an 'extremely busy' day on a Saturday in June. And I'll admit, when we arrived, the busy lot and crowds worried me. Despite this busy day, I was extremely impressed with how quickly we got through all of the lines and our ability to try all of the rides multiple times! There were only a few rides we had to wait longer than 10 minutes for! Reading some of the other reviews, I think that people have different expectations for this splash country compared to other water parks. Either that or we just got really, really lucky. There are also a ton of slides and various water attractions! It was a lot of fun and I definitely would recommend it! I think it is worth the price. The only water coaster in Tennessee! I had never been on one, and it was a blast! Just an overall fun day at the waterpark. Also seems to have rides that are the right speed for children, teens, and adults alike, some relaxed and some somewhat terrifying (aka the fire tower falls, which features a 70 ft steep drop, and took me a few minutes to muster the courage to take the plunge)! One of my personal favorites was the red Slick Rock Racer, which never had much of a line but was so much fun! Another one of my favorites was the Wild River Falls - you can't beat a traditional tube slide! It didn't disappoint. And the fact that there are four slides makes the line go really, really fast! Yes, it would be nice if they had more mats/tubes, but I think they only have a few to more carefully regulate traffic up to the slides. You can't go up and overcrowd the stairs if you don't have your mat/tube! That being said, it would be more efficient with more supplies. If I lived here, I would be back all the time - season passes! Also, it is nice that they have lockers available to rent that are super high tech (For me at least). I love Dollywood! read more

After a wonderful day at Dollywood , we had high hopes for Splash Country . I appreciate the variety of rides and that there's plenty for people that don't want thrill rides . It's also surrounded by beautiful scenery . The staff is nice. However , you cannot being in your own food and drinks. Every concession line we were in was no less than 30 minutes. . Rent a cabana . It comes with a locker and will save you the pain of going into the locker area . The space is very very narrow there - so you will have to wait for someone to come out before you can go to your stuff . Don't skip getting a locker though, we heard of two groups that had items stolen from their lounge chairs . One last thing - you have to pay to park , so just factor that in when you are budgeting . read more

Nice park. Mostly clean. We paid for the Retreat which is nice but the storage area had spiders and associated webs. The shelves were also dirty. Twice I saw a man walking by cleaning the trash cans. Maybe the shelving/lockers in the expensive retreats could be cleaned at the end of the day? The worse thing is the Campsite Grill. It is the only place in the park to get hamburgers and pizza. The lines are unmarked. Much confusion as to which line to order and which to pick up. A little signage please! Bought a season pass to splash country, when I arrived with my family after a 3 hour drive I was told the park was FULL and I needed a reservation to get in. These passes cost me and my family 500.00. I asked if the theme park was open and was told yes, but my season passes wouldn't get me in there and I would have to buy more tickets or passes. I called dollywood customer service and literally asked if they would do ANYTHING to make this experience a little less painful. Short answer, they wouldn't. No even a free day pass. Nothing.... the service rep said "the website clearly states reservations are highly recommended. That is a lie, i checked the website and though it does mention you have the ability to make reservations it does not "highly recommend" it. Also, it doesn't clearly state that you should. I was on the phone for 20 minutes, in this circular discussion about how there was nothing she could do to help me. I asked for a supervisor, that request was denied because all the supervisors were having to field calls/complaints also. After getting off the phone, I bought a day pass to Soaky Mountain. Took my family there, it was 7 minutes away and a much nicer water park. Dolly has lost me as a customer, if there customer service had even extended my season pass a month into the next season, offered me a day pass or anything, literally anything I would have kept my Splash country season pass. I understand parks can fill up, but it isn't hard to update a website or send an email with this info. They literally send me emails weekly trying to get more money from me. Soaky Mountain is nicer, cleaner and better maintained. Soaky Mountain for us from now on. read more

Overall I would say it was a good experience. My family had a blast. I bought our tickets online and it was super simple to do. We also reserved a cabana as we were told that it can be quite difficult to find shaded seating. The day we went it was cloudy so really no cabana would have been needed and refunds are not a possibility. I was also a little disappointed that I couldn't get a refund on my ticket as I injured my back and wasn't able to do any of the attractions. So I ended up paying $50 to watch my family enjoy the water park. We didn't end up needing the fast pass as it wasn't super busy due to the weather. I would say this was a fun experience for my family but we probably won't be going back. read more

Go to this place on a great weather day. All things are fun! All rides rock and you'll be wet all day. Wear sunscreen ...be taller than 40" and have a riding buddy. Common sense stuff..there's lockers you can rent for your things to stay dry..but the kids these days have "them there" contraptions where they wear a waterproof necklace for their phone. Wear "them there" strap sandals and God bless wear a comfortable bikini. There's a time saver pass which IMO is a waste of money because if you're there all day you can handle the lines for a little bit. Lazy river is Legit. Awesome family fun. We are season pass holders and are never disappointed. Now with that said we do know a few tricks of the trade. Try to avoid Campsite Grill for lunch. They are exceptionally slow and the food is only mediocre. Sadly teenagers these days don't know how to move a line, or how to people please. Unfortunately that's a skill learned with age. As far as rides are concerned we haven't been on one yet that we did not like. There is truly something for everyone at this facility. I am an overweight person, and I do EVERYTHING with my family I do not feel left out of anything!!! A side note on the rides there is one side that could use more tubes. Splash Country was nice. There are lots of water rides, for all ages and a lazy river. We enjoyed the rides; however, it would have been nice to be warned if the limited access to seating, etc... or the ability to reserve cabanas, prior to arrival. After finally securing a lounger, we were able to enjoy ourselves. There's also a need for more restrooms. All restrooms were located towards the front so, at times, there was a distance to travel to get to it. Otherwise, it was nice. The refill station was a hit with my husband. It's definitely worth visiting. Ask about the lounger or family retreat rentals. read more

While we were visiting Knoxville in June, we decided to go to Dollywood's Water Park, which was a big mistake! Waited until 3pm to enter the park because then the next day would be free. That is NOT the case and the front staff just rolled their eyes, acted as it was never that way we made it up, and then told us it has ended last year after offering that promotion for years. Since we already paid our $15 parking fee, we had to make the most out of our 3 hours in the park. The walkways are burning hot and especially the ones you have to wait in line. And, did we have to wait in line!! We waited 80 minutes for RiverRush. We only had time to ride 3 other rides due to the looong lines before they thew us out of the park. The tubes and floats were filthy!! Extremely dirty with black smudges! Workers seemed unhappy with their jobs and were not friendly or helpful at all. Splash Country could be a wonderful water park if the prices to get into it weren't so high. I paid for 2 adults and 1 senior and it was still over $100 to get in, and that didn't include the parking fee or food. Food was insanely priced, and the parking was $15 for my Chevy Malibu. It was ridiculously high priced. Lines were short enough, but the ground was so hot it burned our feet. The issue is if you wear flip-flops, you have nowhere to put them near most of the rides. The gift shops were full of cool clothes, bikinis, toys and candy. My three-year-old loved going on the few rides he was allowed on (he's just past the 36" mark), and especially loved the Wave Pool. We will probably be coming back, but I wish it was cheaper. He didn't really like the Lazy River, because it was just so LONG! He was bored of it before we were even halfway through. read more

We had a blast here! Super expensive, but don't pay $15 for parking. Take the trolley from Gatlinburg for $2 instead. (We found that out afterwards, darn it!) The day we went, it started raining, and suprise, suprise, the staff gave us a raincheck! We went back the next day (and paid another$15 for parking so take the trolley already) and had a very fun day! The lines were not that long, but there's a lazy River and a wave pool that require no waiting, and they are crowded but so much fun! This is a great water park (similar to Holiday World or Six Flags' water parks). It is expensive - tickets and food - but what I expected. If you eat lunch, you have to try the taco stand by the wave pool. It's similar to a Qdoba where you get to decide your toppings. Everything has good flavor and tastes fresh. The best ride is River Rush, a water slide coaster. Lots of ups and downs and a smooth, soaking ride. You can rent an all day locker for $15. Workers are very polite and attentive. The only negatives are the waterfalls on rides come down blindingly hard and the wave pool is small and dangerously overcrowded with tubes - most of them empty. The park it self is ok. I was really disappointed for my first time to a waterpark. One there is not enough shaded areas for people to get to when you are needing a break. I feel it is overpriced you purchase a cup for 14.99 and get free refills which s a nice thing, but you can not fill it with water it has to be soft drinks. A Hamburger being 15.00 is crazy pricing. a locker runs 15.00 which you need to put personal items in. Most employees were nice but we had a tram worker named Tony who was rude to several people on our tram when we were leaving and standing in the blazing sun for 30 minutes (NO Shade No Benches) before they would arrived was not helping. Tony wasn't going to let people on the tram due to we did not have tee shirts. Everyone in splash country arrived with bathing suits and the attire they brought which was not a problem when you are spending money, but when you are leaving and not allowed to walk to your vehicle and have spent hundreds of dollars there you should not be given grief over a one piece bathing suit. This man was very rude to several people and has caused us not to ever return. If a person hates his job so much dealing with the public then he should change careers. I think Dolly would be really upset with the way people were treated for sure. read more

First of all we went to different waterparks, and dollywood splash country is overpriced, and still have to pay for parking, kids got charged 50.00 as an adult and my kid is 11yrs old ,the lockers are rediculous also for ten dollars a use. And the big kicker is we went to River rush the ride took an hour to get too, its normal i guess but when we got tourds our turn someone threw up and a lifegaurd got the short end of the straw and had to scrubits inside where poeple sit in withBLEACH she had a whole gallon of it with a pushbroom, and added a little of water and then decided to put it back to board, then a young lady named BRE was telling us to board it, i said nope, well pass, she started saying we're rude, to our faces, bleach doesnt harm u, im like you guys sit in it show up... still giving the same attitude to others and no one wo3board number 30 raft. This place offers complete Family Fun and lots of water rides. My family and I spent two days at the water park and we were able to get on all the water rides except 3 because the lines were just too long. However, this place is amazing and I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to take their family for a vacation or just to get away for a few days. There are fun water rides for kids of all ages. No one will walk will saying they did not have fun, there is something for everyone whether you can swim or not. The park is fun, but not something spectacular. You can purchase a locker to 15.00 but if you pack a credit card for the day also bring your id. Cons, they sell waterproof bags (27.00)for your cell phones which sounds good for videos on your rides. In actuality they will make you take them off on a majority of the slides, thank god I have the iPhone 7. I opted to leave the bag with neck harness behind. They claim it's a safety hazard..... Really??? If I am going to choke by the lanyard that = I may tip over and be dragged, not a good selling point. Also they tell you that you can't record the slides as you go. Point taken, don't buy the silly bag and yes if your phone is waterproof take the video anyway. Water shoes, they make you take them off when you use the slides. I can understand Sandals but water shoes don't come off, get with the modern times. They are worn to avoid hot pavement and they tie on which means they won't fall off. Again they tend to be over cautious yet having to juggle them in your lap while not being able to hold on to the handles with both hands it's kind of safety stupid. Food, your not allowed to bring snacks in so eat before you go. 1 Nachos, nugget meals x2 and a corn dog cost 45.00. All in all I definitely will avoid on my next trip, with the other attractions in the area I can find friendlier places to go with rules and prices. read more

Best waterpark EVER!!!! We come all the way from SF Bay area just to go here. When you are standing in line there are trees everwhere, and it is cooler, the people are super friendly, they are VERY dilligent about the changing weather and thunder and lightning. There are slides that literally come right out of the Smoky Mountains. There is a roller coaster that glides on water, it is AMAZING. I wish I could go here every single week. I love love love it! Do yourself a favor and rent a little shelter or a cabana. The big cabanas come with TVS if you need that. Either way you will have a BLAST. GO GO GO read more

If you are going to spend the money to take your family here, please take the time to explain to them that EVERYTHING and EVERYONE is VERY slow here and that there are not near enough mats/tubes for any of the rides, so you not only have to wait in line to get a mat/tube for a ride you then have to go get in line for the ride. It is really hard for me to believe that Mrs. Dolly Parton does not have enough money to make sure that there are enough mats/tubes for all of her rides. The rides are okay at best and forget trying to talk to the workers there because they are so overworked that they do not even have 2 seconds to say hello, how are you, where are you from or anything. The food is okay, very overpriced and again the staff is VERY, VERY slow! They advertise a mug that is unlimited refills all season long and when I went to purchase it she said we have been out of them since the 2nd week of the season. Really nice place but not enough for the price. We went on a Sunday so it was busy. Too busy. With two small children we kept to the kiddie activities. Not enough seating which is understandable being a Sunday and all. But they charge an arm and a leg for adults. We were there for a couple hours. I stood in line for 35 minutes to get an iced coffee for my wife at the only place that sold iced coffee to find out they don't have that even though it's listed on there billboard menu. Be patient while you are here. Everything is SLOW. - Lines are slow, food is slow. It constantly seems like they are understaffed and use teenagers or elderly for employees, they tend to get overwhelmed easily with people. While we can always have fun there is always a point were we are frustrated trying to get service. read more

This is a GREAT water park and definitely well worth the price that you pay. Honestly I don't think it is over priced for all that you get to do inside the water park. I also like how it has a bit of an old country theme to it similar to the them park Dollywood. The lines get really long in the summer but the park offers a pass similar to the fast pass at other parks and its waterproof as well so no worries about it getting water damage. Definitely lots of family memories and moments to be made at this water park! The RiverRush is a mind blowing and stomach tickling ride. read more
