We broke open the geode once we got home.

We stopped by this Gem Mine and another. We paid more at this mine, but I think my soon enjoyed this one more as well. (Almost 11 year old). I also think he received better gems.

    Uncut gemstones.

Me and my kid had fun doing the gem mine. They had a lot of really nice stones in even the lower price buckets. We went to the museum in the back which was pretty nice and really well laid out. We got helped by Gracie, and that was a wonderful experience. She let us know which gemstones were which, and then recommended certain sizes of cuts for the stones. We're getting them back for a Christmas present for one of our family members. It's a little on the pricier side, but the experience is worth it. Especially with the kiddo. I can't recommend Gracie enough if you go here. Overall, I would 100% go again.

The store was gorgeous and a calming environment for my friends and I to enjoy mining and conversing together. The service was great the lady was really sweet, open to any questions and explained everything fully. The selection was great with different sizes of buckets to mine, merchandise and the types of crystals. My 2 friends and I shared a 35$ bucket which was honestly plenty to split for the experience (we each roughly got 22-25 crystals each). But with the price value and how much we enjoyed it so much we bought another to share. The employee shows and sorts out exactly what you found. You can also make jewelry out of the mined crystals but we didn't have time to sadly.

I had a great time! I got the $65 bucket, I found lots of good gems and minerals, I will say they misidentified some of the rocks, they told me some of my teal amazonite was actually turquoise which it's pretty difficult to decipher so it's fine. Their shop is wonderful and I'm glad I went.

We had 7 children 12 and under. We had 6 adults. And every single one of us loved this place! We bought the $100 bucket which seemed to be the perfect amount for all the kids to have a solid 15-20 minutes of fun! Everyone found some stones they really enjoyed. This business offers a professional to identify all of the stones found which truly enhances the entire experience! I highly highly recommend doing this after you've finished finding all of your stones. You can then have your stones cut into jewelry which was pretty cool. Overall, this was a great experience and our kids wanted to do it again the next day!

The guy that greeted us, very personable and helpful. And if you can't lift the bucket, he will gladly assist you.

This is a good place for the kids to do some gem "mining". You buy a bucket of sand (there are several different sizes/prices). Then you take it to a flume and "pan" for gems using the supplied wire mesh box. Each of the buckets is seeded with "gems" and they guarantee you'll find some. When you are finished, you bring your booty to the "gemologists" who tell you exactly what you found. There's also a little gem museum/gift shop where you can look at some rocks and fossils. This is a good place to spend an hour with the kids.

Elliot was spectacular. Everybody at this place was wonderful. My two boys had so much fun searching for gems out of their big bucket. Then being able to look through everything with Elliot's help, made fining treasure lots of fun. Thank you to Elliot and the rest of the team at pigeon Forge gem mine. You helped one of my sons check some thing off of his bucket list. Highly recommend this place.

We past by here on our way to our hotel and decided to stop by, we were not disappointed at all! My girls and I had so much fun finding all our gems and crystals. We got each one of our girls a $35 bucket each of a different color and it was perfect. When you finish mining, you can take your new gems inside the cute little store they have and have them appraised. It was all around a really fun and great experience!

    Daphne B.

Big rockhounds here! We truly enjoyed this experience. We did the $65 bucket and got plenty of minerals and precious stones, it was fun to uncover what was hidden in our bucket. I had never done mining like this before but I did research to make sure that what we got was real. They also will sit down with you afterwards in the shop and tell you got. We got almost 1-4 pieces of each semi preprecious gem plus half a gallon sized zip bag of minerals. We also ordered a ring that's set with a gem that we found.

    Aquamarine Gems

Our family bought a big bear sized bucket of sand and walked away with two bags full of rocks and gems! We loved having the specialist identify them after to understand what we found.

The loud and obnoxious manager, Paulette.

We parked across the street in their free parking area, which had plenty of available spots at that hour. The walk over was less than a mile and very manageable. There are so many cute shops, unique stores, and plenty of great photo opportunities throughout the area. We've gone two years in a row (2024 and 2025) and even between the years it seems that there is more to offer. Plan to be there all day, especially if you have small children. There is so much for them to do, climb, and explore which is nice so you can enjoy your drink while they play. All the kids areas are secure too so you won't lose them or worry about them falling down the mountain. Our kids LOVE the slide and birdhouse climbing area. There's a stage for live entertainment close by which we really enjoyed. Lots of food options all over however we really enjoy the lookout mountain restaurant and you have to get ice cream for dessert afterwards. Transportation up the mountain is either by their Ridge Rambler (open bus with no windows so dress accordingly) or the skyline with both open and closed cars (runs really slowly and usually a LONG line). I highly recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance because even though that option is available, many do not opt for it and would rather stand in a VERY LONG line to purchase tickets and then get in line for the skyline. If you purchase in advance and opt to ride the bus like we do, wait time is very minimal and you can bypass most of the line which is a huge plus. (also, the waiting area is by 2 private restrooms in case you need to go before boarding). Even though it's busy, everything is so spread out that it's not crowded which is super nice. Plan to take a backpack to carry items as you will stay on the mountain and it's not easy to go back and forth to the car (could but will take time), plus, it's nice to have in case it's chilly and hot later so you can store clothing layers. Currently, Anakeesta is closed until March for remodels and they've shared ideas and things to come which all look like great additions. We can't wait to go again this fall 2026 to enjoy all the new amenities. Highly recommend for all ages!

My daughter was deciding between WonderWorks and Ripley's Aquarium, and honestly, I regret not choosing the aquarium. I expected this place to blow our minds, but it didn't. The attractions feel a bit outdated and could definitely use better maintenance, especially considering the amount of people they get every day. The best part was the laser tag -- everything else was pretty underwhelming. The 4D simulator was only partially working, and the glasses felt cheap. The earthquake experience was disappointing... my car on a straight road moves more than that. Plan to go with plenty of time, because between everything, time flies and you'll easily spend at least three hours inside. If you're thinking about going after 6 pm, I'd recommend leaving it for another day and going earlier. As soon as we asked, the staff knew exactly how it worked, applied it with no hassle, and knocked a nice chunk off the total. That savings made a big difference for our group and turned an already good deal into a great deal.. Between the amount of stuff included in the ticket, the chance to replay laser tag and rides as much as you want, I honestly don't understand how anyone could rate this less than 5 stars. If you show up early, plan a few hours, and take advantage of the discount, it's one of the best values in Pigeon Forge. Try to plan the trip in the off season as it is nowhere near as crowded as it was doing the summer where it was too crowded to stand in line to get in. Definitely worth my money and something I would do again with my grandchildren.
