I don't even remember what the third ask was but, alas, not to be had. Finally, the woman said they had cones and M&ms, that's all. Instead of disappointing my granddaughter three times, why the heck not just say up front all she had was a regular cone and M&m's? Anyway, it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth, pun intended.

We parked across the street in their free parking area, which had plenty of available spots at that hour. The walk over was less than a mile and very manageable. Although the weather wasn't ideal--light rain and chilly temperatures--it didn't take away from the experience. We started by walking around and taking everything in. There are so many cute shops, unique stores, and plenty of great photo opportunities throughout the area. We did a little shopping, sampled some food, and purchased tickets to ride the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, which was a highlight. Before heading out, we made one last stop at Ole Smoky Moonshine, which is always a fun experience. Even though the weather didn't fully cooperate, we still had a great time and really enjoyed our visit. The Island has a fun, lively atmosphere and offers something for everyone--we'd definitely go back!

There are tons of alcohol tasting places and food places through out here. We did do a stop and tasting at Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine, which was unique enough since I am from the west coast visiting, and fun. I still think if you want more authentic tastings and food, to go to downtown Gatlinburg instead (it's all similar enough though). We also did a wine tasting here and all the wines were so sweet for my palette. I did enjoy the shops and pursuing around this beautiful area. A great spot to get some steps in. Many places also offer free samples of food to (like the candy store) so don't be afraid to go in and try.

We brought a back pack with bottled water and lots of snacks. They have an entire area (country fair) for kids ride. It literally looks like a fair. For us, this was a one time thing (we are 6 hours away). But it was definitely a site to see.

You are made to feel that you are about to enter a mine, and if you pay attention in the line area, you'll come to see that it is a condemned mine. The line moves swiftly, or maybe it was because I was one of the first people in line for the day, but I was in a car in no time. The cars allow for up to eight people to ride and are consistently running. You are sent out of the platform and on your way. The theme continues as you see crows and canaries and it looks like you are about to be ground up by a boring machine. I went and look up the history of this ride and see that it was the first of it's kind in the US and at that time held several records. At the time it was the biggest investment into the park itself.

I came with my boyfriends family, his siblings and their kids. When we parked there was a bit of a line. However, the line moved fairly quick. You buy your ticket, stand in line... and the ushers secure you onto one of the coasters. It's great for all ages! If your kid is small, you can ride with your kid. The views were nice and some parts went really fast! I'd definitely go again! The total ride down the mountain is pretty lengthy. I should've wrote my review earlier because the guy told me how long it takes to ride down the mountain.... approximately 10 minutes? Correct me if I'm wrong. But it's a nice ride down. Don't forget to smile when the signs say to smile because they take photos of you along the ride. At the end of the ride, you enter the gift shop where you can see all your photos. The photos were the normal expensive tourist price, but it's worth capturing the moment :) Definitely a "must-do" when visiting Pigeon Forge!

If you aren't around this type of equipment regularly or live in the city and have construction loving kids, this might be worth it. For us, we were let down. Alot of the machines have the same type of games so it was just repeated play over and over. The little ride on carts for tots barely move, so my 3 year old was bored. Shes a little dare devil though so a tamer 3 year old might enjoy it. I get why its expensive, I know those machines are expensive to upkeep. And staff was very friendly. Place was clean. But we wont be returning.
