Best breakfast in Spokane. We had a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. French toast was sweet and full of cinnamon. I enjoyed my eggs and bacon too. My son devoured his sausage and toast. My husband had the chicken fried steak and said it was pretty damn good. The staff was very friendly and made sure we we'll taken care of. Woah Dolly! This place is FANTASTIC! My daughter and I are visiting from the Tri Cities and I found this place via Yelp and decided to go here. I am on an eggs Benedict quest around the world literally. So I saw they had it and needed to go! I do NOT regret it, and it was some of the best I have had, definitely top 3! The egg was perfectly poached, and the hollandaise had just the right amount of lemon along side a thick cut slice of ham and a perfectly cooked / grilled English muffin that was easy to cut through, was not tough and didn't taste like cardboard. My daughter had the half order of biscuits of gravy which was so so so good!!! And don't forget the staff!!! Ah.may.zing! We sat at the counter the cook was talking to us the waiter, Travis was as sweet as pie! Seriously so epic. I don't try a lot of breakfast places in Spokane (we usually do family breakfasts at IHOP or Denny's) but we tried Calico Kitchen and Dolly's recently. Dolly's was a really sweet little joint. We both ordered Dorothy's special, I had the waffle, my sister had french toast. She's veg so she swapped out meat for home fries, easily, and for a gigundo portion. The waffle was really tasty. I can't remember the last time I had a waffle so it's hard to compare to others but it was nice! I had whipped cream and strawberries which may have been canned and didn't seem fresh but they were quite tasty. I tried her french toast and it was pretty good too, though I detest maple syrup so I'm not gonna wholly endorse it. My eggs and bacon were great. The bacon esp can be lacking at breakfast places and I was drawn to their description of thick cut bacon. It was thick and not too crispy. I like it kinda chewy and it was more done than I prefer but it was thick enough to not be super brittle. Fan! Parking lot is small but suited us fine on a Thursday morning. Service was slow but we weren't in a hurry. And it was a bit expensive for breakfast and we left with enough room in stomachs to go check out Petite Chat (bakery) haha. So I'd say lower the prices a bit or size up the portions a bit. Just my two cents. read more

About as average as it gets. The half order of b&g with "poached" eggs is what I went for after being told the gravy was amazing. Well, it wasn't. Standard cafeteria canned gravy, bland and void of texture. The biscuits were "home made" but very heavy. They weren't bad tasting, but not at all flakey and buttery as they should be. I had to load up with Tabasco to get some flavor in the food. The eggs were not poached, they were "basted" (steamed on the flat top). To the credit of our server, I was told this in advance. They weren't bad and were cooked nicely. Hash browns are standard frozen browns. Not bad, but not mind blowing. Service was good. We sat outside but our needs were met promptly and politely. Never had to ask for a refill of coffee or water. I'd give a 2 1/2 if I could. read more

Dolly's is our new favorite spot for breakfast. The food is always amazing and the owner Travis is so nice and accommodating. Because we are GU students we got a $2 discount! A solid breakfast experience. Definitely plenty of food with your order, and the place is super clean and has a nice, warm feel to it. As much as the breakfast was good, I was a little disappointed that it did not use as many fresh ingredients as I'd hoped. The home fries are frozen and then deep fried, the hashbrowns are the standard foodservice freeze dried kind. I am a big fan of fresh potatoes, so I did notice right away these were not fresh. The sausage gravy on the biscuits had very little sausage in it, and it did not appear to be home-made. We had great waitstaff service. The biscuits were great - dense, yet fluffy and very fresh. I would recommend trying them for sure. I read they had a recent remodel, and it appears that they squished their seating to get another set of tables into the dining area - which resulted in our table (along with all the others) being very tight to sit in. read more

It must have been training day as my wife stated, because though friendly was the greeting, things crawled after that. I learned more about their business, than an average Joe. The food was good. We'll let's clarify that remark, my country fried steak was good enough to have again. Hash browns good, eggs over medium perfect. That's where it stops. Toast was average. My wife's french toast, made from store bought bread, soggy under cooked. Nothing special to write about. Will I return, probably not anytime soon. The area they need to pickup their game is in the bread department. Home made would move this rating up a star, and better service would top off the stars. read more

It's hard to believe I haven't been to Dolly's since before their remodel...years ago. That was clearly much too long to stay away. My experience this morning was near perfect. Although they were quite busy, we were immediately seated at a cozy booth. I'm not the first reviewer to say this, but the service was phenomenal. The food was delicious. I had an "off menu" omelet with spinach, avocado, bacon & feta. I couldn't think of a way to improve this omelet and would definitely order it again. The hash browns were ok, but not a stand out. Someone else pointed out how cakey the biscuits are. It was tasty, but I wouldn't call it a biscuit. The strawberry jam was over the top. My server said they buy it special from some place in Seattle. It was a nice touch. My stepson declared his pancakes the best he's had. The missing star was for a couple of reasons. The coffee was basic, almost flavorless standard diner brew. With all Dolly's has going for it, I was surprised they haven't stepped it up with their coffee (hint: Roast House). The other thing was, when I asked if they do refills on hot cocoa, the man serving us said "Sure," whisked away my stepson's cup and promptly brought another. This was great until I got the bill and discovered that their idea of "refill" is to charge for a whole other cup of cocoa. Imperfections aside, I can't wait to return and sample more of their delicious looking menu. read more

Perhaps after I come here again for breakfast Ill boost up the rating. I ordered a chicken philky cheese sandwich. It tasted delicious, but I had to use a knife and fork to eat it cause the bread was so limp and wouldnt hold up. The hoagie roll was grilled as well but that didnt seem to make any difference. For the price the portion was very very small, like kids meal small to me. With tax it was over 14 dollars. For that kind of money the bread for it should be much better quality, it isnt. Id say less the 6oz of chicken on my sandwhich also. Fries were cooked fantastically. The service is great and its clean. I just cant give more stars as of yet for the size, quality, and price of the dish. read more

Found this family run jewel today, and enjoyed the homemade biscuits and raspberry preserves. Another one of us had the eggs benny( yummiest-sauce) and they were happy to sub in grilled tomato for the ham for our veggie companion.
