This is one of the best stocked dollar trees I've been to in a while. They had items that I've been looking for over the past few months that other locations didn't have in stock. Made my day to find these items and to see such a variety in products that they have to offer. They definitely have more products than other locations as well most likely due to the larger size of the location. Every dollar tree employee that I interacted with made my feel welcomed and they offered to help my husband and I find items. So sweet! Excellent customer service. Checkout was a breeze too. She keeps it organized as stocked and if there is a spill then she cleans it right away to ensure no accidents and cares about everyone's safety. Every time I choose to go to dollar tree I drive to this one, not because it's the nicest or biggest but truly because of the costumer service. The store manager Flo is always greeting me with a smile ,welcomes the busy lines , packed parking lot and she is always positive even if it happens to be her off day! Yes, this place is always the messiest. Of all the DTs around NoCo, this one by far takes first place in its disorder. You can see that they're trying, but they're just too overwhelmed. It's a never-ending cycle with the products they need to put out and the reorganizing that has to be done. The staff are loud but have always been friendly and nice. They can be a bit unprofessional. I've seen and heard them yelling across aisles at each other. Not anything rude just them communicating about their job responsibilities. Two good things about this store is that it's one of the larger DTs and they have a big arts/crafts section. Hope they can get things in order because there is potential here. read more

Was in the other night and a blond curvier (to be nice) lady had the WORST attitude. She was SO RUDE. I asked where something f was and she told me I'd just have to look and find it. Like really?? Super pissy attitude. Scowl on her face. This location sucks!! Like truly awful! I agree with other reviewers that's it's kind of dirty and poorly stocked. Most items are either on the floor, mixed up in the wrong spot or have fallen onto the shelves. But I used to go there for Chris. Nicest person ever!! I'm not sure she works there anymore but she gave GREAT customer service. (If you see this Chris you get 5 stars!! I will drive out of my way to go somewhere else. This store is always fully stocked and the staff is incredibly nice and on top of things. Even when being busy, they're fast and still able to hold a conversation especially the new manager here in and helps. Beware: this is a fraudulent enterprise. They refuse to honor the price marked on the merchandise, instead charge you whatever they please. I caught one item as it was rung up (price on the item $5.00, price they charged me $7.00) and it was fixed. Unfortunately I didn't catch another item (price on merchandise $1.25, price I was charged $2.00). I asked to be refunded the difference, but instead of doing an override and giving me the money back, the manager argued with me and then just left. I found out later upon checking the receipt that there were two more items I was overcharged (price on merchandise $1.25, price charged $1.50). This incompetent manager needs to be fired asap. They now mark merchandise with a red dot, but nowhere does it state what amount of $ this red dot equals. It could be $1.50 or $7.00. You are not saving money going to this Dollar Tree, instead you are being ripped off. Shop elsewhere. read more

Pros: Has a dedicated craft supply section that they actually keep organized. Good selection of school supplies. Carries the usual seasonal stuff. Cons: It's a mess inside. Very shady parking lot, poor lighting and sketchy "parking lot transactions" going on, and it's a homeless hangout. Creepy guys inside the store I've seen harassing the female staff. read more

Just finished shopping here...its 12/23/21 at 4:pm. I stopped in for literally 3 things, and just witnessed the most unprofessional & rude employee. I am not sure if she is a manager or not, but she was working on register 3. She basically mocked the VERY nice lady working at register 5 because she was still counting her change. She said "oh you're not open? All your doing is counting change it doesn't take that long" in front of all of the costumers. Keep it mind they are two registers away so she pretty much shouted this in front of everyone. As someone who works at a register, someone embarrassing you and yelling at you DOESN'T make you work faster, or accurately. I felt so bad for the lady at 5, I wanted to give her a hug. This 99cent store I regularly shop at. They keep a lot of the same stuff in stock for months at a time unlike other 99cent stores. If you need to buy greeting cards go here they are only two for a dollar. Their food stuff isn't that great. I did check the dates and they are all fresh and they do have a few name brand things. The downside to this store is you may need a tylenol after coming here. A lot of parents let their kids run wild screaming and yelling thru the isles. It is always like this when I go here. Also one weird thing, each time I go, the trash can outside the doors (they only have one entrance/exit) it is one of those where the can is down inside of a cement holder or whatever, it is ALWAYS overflowing with trash on the ground next to it. No one ever seems to empty it. It usually stinks bad too! Oh yeah, this store always has the AC crankin too so its always cool on a hot day. read more

I'm 20 years old and on a budget and this place is the place to be. I really needed a few things for the house, just some cleaning supplies and quick dinner foods. I never realized how great this place was until I was moved out and on my own. They have a really great selection of cleaning products, most aren't name brand but it's all the same thing. They did have Colgate toothpaste and listerine mouth wash. I really didn't need half the stuff I bought but I couldn't help myself. One of the best deals was the gallon sized Arizona iced teas for only a dollar. They have tons of pasta and rice and the frozen food wasn't a huge selection but they have yummy soft pretzels and frozen pasta dinners (like I said, were on a budget). I could've bought so much more, but I walked out spending $33 on some really great stuff and I know I would've spent at least $50 if I had shopped at a regular grocery store. read more

been coming here since i moved here 3 years ago, its messy but its not bad. im not sure why there is so many bad reviews? its a DOLLAR TREE not a mall, not a target, not a costco. Everything is $1 so people should be grateful for even having the ability to pay only $1 for stuff that may cost way more somewhere else. I read the review where someone was mad that they didnt bag their items and i totally respect the employee for not doing it because people have become lazy and since you havent noticed there is a pandemic going on with or without the vaccine! If there was a zero star, I would put it here. My grandchildren and I decided to get a poster to welcome their other grandmother who flew in today. When we arrived we all had to use the bathroom. "No, sorry. The one bathroom is not working and the other one isn't working either." So we headed out to find a restroom in the small mall area. Everywhere there were signs outside of each of the establishments that there were no public bathroom use allowed. I felt as if I had landed on a different country than the US. I finally found a bush where they could all pee, except me. We went back to buy our things, since we didn't have a lot of time, otherwise I wouldn't have shopped there. After we were done and going to the car I didn't realize that the shopping carts had that pole so I couldn't have the convenience of carrying the bags and the youngest grandchild in the shopping cart. So I had to take him out, drag him with one hand, while holding what we bought in the other hand, while making sure it was safe to cross to get to our car. Super, non customer friendly, and of course when I told the attendant she could only say, oh, I'm sorry!!! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! read more

Eh. I don't care for this location. Actually I prefer the 99 Cents store down the street. All the stuff I've bought here has broken, not worked, or been gross. I bought a pack of pens and they were all dead. I bought some Junior Mints and they were chewy. The only decent things I've gotten here were a turbie twist knock off and a word search book. This Dollar Tree store in Vista on E. Vista Way is beyond the help of God. I feel like I want to wash off the bottom of my shoes when I leave the store. Only a total hurricane could leave such a mess behind. The aisles are stacked high with unopened boxes. The shelves are missing most of their inventory. I felt sorry for the one employee who was working the register, with a long line of customers waiting to pay for their merchandise. Her attitude, which I commend because I work in retail, was I am only one person and therefore can only take care of one customer at a time. I told her she deserved a gold medal just for showing up for work. If this store held a reunion of all of the employees that have gone through this store since it opened, they would have to hire a stadium. There is a sign posted at the register that I checked out from that says they are hiring an Assistant Manager. Does that mean they already have a Manager on staff? The last guy was very slovenly looking and looked like he had just rolled out of bed. His green polo shirt did not even cover his stomach and the shirt had a lot of stains on it. I know there are those people who do not control their children in a retail establishment, they only give thought to what they are there to purchase and do not even consider the messes their kids are making in the toy aisles. Short of having a security guard in each aisle, it's hard to keep control of the little "monsters" who could care less because they have been taught nothing at home. The only area that was not destroyed was the greeting card section. The cards are all so reasonably priced, that I have no problem putting cards back in the sections where they belong. It's good hand eye coordination for those of us in the golden years. If you want to visit a well run, clean Dollar Tree, drive to Carlsbad. It's located on Jefferson in the Marshall's strip center. This store is getting worse. Products on shelves are dirty. Customers open things and put them back on shelves and nobody removes the damaged goods. Today there was spilled red liquid all over a bottom shelf in the toothpaste aisle. They are the last store to put out new products. Shelves are not stocked. Still a mess.
