Whenever I'm in the area, I like to stop by to see what they have. My shopping experience is always lovely at this location. Despite the long lines, the staff were able to keep the line moving by having more staff at the counter. I looove when they see the need for more support and address this right away. It's niiice to see all hands on deck when it gets busy. The staff were still super friendly which is a good thing under pressure. The prices are reasonable...looove to come across clearance items; better yet, great deals on anything with a brand name. Another standard location of Marshalls. Located on the east end of the Las Posas center, with a Home Goods to the right of it. So more opportunities if you're looking for the housewares as opposed to clothing. I don't think I have found that many things for me personally at this store. I tend to find a few things for work, in the housewares sections. There always seems to be a fairly long checkout line too, so allow a little extra time if you're on a schedule. There are a few parking spots in front of the entrance, but I have seen people parking where it isn't an actual parking spot. It's easier to find a spot across the driveway, and walk over. read more

For Christmas gifts this is a very underrated store. The first time I came in it took me about 30 minutes before I figured out this was a Marshalls store. I had simply been walking up this strip mall going from store to store and just walked in. There's no signage inside that differentiates this from Home Goods or TJ Max. To my surprise this place was STACKED with smaller gifts that were perfect as stocking stuffers or gifts for casual friends. All sorts of smaller reasonably-priced items that solve many tough gift challenges. This store was stocked with newer items the closer it got to Christmas. Came here twice and the second time (week before Christmas) they had several items I didn't see the previous week. - Not as nice as Home Goods, but a good place for small gifts for friends. - Despite being full of cashiers they have a long slow line. read more

I like how this Marshall's seems spacious and organized...displays are always attractive and well stocked.. This review is truly based on my experience with fitting room associate Valerie! She was super rude to me and did not acknowledge me standing there. She was talking to people and did not realized I was there for 5 minutes and when I tried to have her count my clothes so I can enter the fitting room, I still got rejected by her as she invited the next customer who came after me to help her. read more

Never buying from here again. Their customer service is a piece of crap. They sell you damaged crap at high price. Bought a cracked snow globe for my son and didn't realize it until it shattered all over my 2 year old son in the car WHILE HE WAS SLEEPING spilling glass and snow globe water all over it. He could've gotten cut and hurt but thank god he didn't. Contacted customer service and they said they couldn't do anything as soon as merchandise leaves the store. Complete b.s. The management at San Marcos locations is really bad. According with California law if you find 2 identical products with different prices they have to charge the $$ lowest price. When I found two of the same hair mask with different prices and went to pay expecting the cashier would charge me the lowest price, she did the OPPOSITE... ripped the sticker of the $$ lower price and told me that the right price was the higher price, so NOT only I couldn't buy the one that was cheaper she said both was more expensive....Imagine if I just wanted buy one I could have paid less...WTF , and it's unlawful to do what they did to me, I think the person was a supervisor, guess they need to learn that what they are doing is illegal. Typical marshalls. But this store sometimes needs some organization. The toiletries area sometimes can be a mess. Also I bought a cream and only found out the seal was tampered when I got home, will take it back for an exchange. So beware! Although you can expect the best in a discount store, the item at least has to be unused or unopened! The shoes are a lot of times out of larges sizes, and not many to choose from. The clothes aren't bad. Overall, this Marshalls is like a half step up from Ross, not even a whole step. They definitely need more organization on the floor. I have to give a shout out to the employees here- everyone was genuinely friendly and super helpful today when I was in twice. Also need to note extra kudos for Kimberly who was trying help me locate something at another store. She ended up calling a few stores and then called me later to update me. I know it's not something she had to do but she had exceptional CS skills and seemed happy to go above and beyond to help a customer. It seems that these kinds of measures are overlooked and it made a huge difference in my experience today. read more

I come to this Marshall's often and love shopping there but after today I might just not come back. I went in and saw a beautiful olive tree that I've been looking for. The olive tree had no price tag on it. I asked an employee that how can I get a price check since the tree didn't have one. There was a similar olvide tree with a price tag and he pointed out that it will be around the same price as the other tree. I was like okay great no problem. I left because I didn't have space in the car that I came in so I went home and got a bigger car so I can fit the tree in. Once I took the tree to the register for the employee to check the price he told me he was going to look for a manager. I mentioned that there was another tree with a price tag and that someone else had told me that it will be around the same price. The manager came and said "oh those trees are very expensive" with an attitude. " Those are like $120". She said. I was upset because first of all she said it in a rude way making it seem like I couldn't afford it or something and second of all I was told it would be around the same price as the other tree and got a whole different price. I took the time to go back home to get a different car to take it home. Her overall attitude was horrible. I like this place. I usually hit up this location, Ross and Nord Rack all at the same time due to the shopping structure. I say this is in between Ross *lower end and Nord Rack * higher end. This place has name brand for cheaper price you just have to look. This is defianantly a store I go to when I have time for browsing because there is so much stuff to go through from shoes to housegoods. I like the housewares, and clearance racks are always fun. I have had no problems from customer service and I would say I come to this location more often then any of the others, so I would give it four stars. read more

I love Marshalls. Yes, you have to hunt through the racks but I always find what I'm looking for, which is always workout clothing. I hate spending tons of money on something I'm just going to be a hot sweaty mess in! With that said, they really do have cute workout clothing, even for petite (AKA short!) women. The prices here can't be beat. I bought two high quality wicking shirts and one pair of uber cute wicking pants for around 30 dollars. I'll be back! read more

I was just at this location and I left the wallet in the car after waiting in line for 20 minutes. I then return to the register that I was told to return to and this time around there was a lady there named Letty. Let me tell you how rude this lady is She went out of her way and asked the rep that helped me out if she told me to come back without waiting in line keep in mind I just stood outside to get my wallet ran back in and she wanted me to wait in line again for another 20 minutes I then told her I'm gonna get on yelp and write a bad review and she went out of her way to throw the receipt and walked away. I do understand that I have to wait in line, but I already waited in line and I was told to come right back. It's unfortunate that people like this mess up a place of business and now I know why the store only has 2 1/2 stars. Please get rid of her. She is very rude. She belongs at a Walmart. read more

Omg!!!! Best Marshall's ever! I was staying near by for work and wanted a little retail therapy. Came in here and wow, what a great selection! I found two work dresses, a shirt, a sexy summer dress and some workout pants and a fanny pack all for 113.00 bucks! I go to as many locations on No and So CA as I can and this is the best ever! Store is very clean laid out nicely and really nice clothes. Shoe selection could be better, but everything else is great! Guess what? Cashier line even moves quickly and very friendly customer service. In a huge shopping center with a Ross too! I'll be coming here every time I'm in San Marcos! I agree that the toiletry area is a little messy but that's where I found everything worth bringing home. Salon quality shampoos and conditioners for less than the beauty supply stores, natural products that I was ready to mail order but I was able to find here, etc. Take a look. Pretty decent store, doesn't have that great of organization and most of it is a mess of items thrown together but that seems to be a common trend here since it's pretty much a mix of all kinds of brands. It does have great deals here tho! My wife and I came here to check it out and well she managed to find all kinds of deals that were worth around $1! Crazy huh? To make it even crazier...I managed to find a nice dress shirt that was originally worth $200 but it was only $10 here! So their deals are definitely great, especially in the clearance section considering that's where we found all of our deals! read more

I kinda hate this place. But in the past they have had designer purses and a whole wall of converse so I thought it would be a good choice when I had some time to kill. This particular store is pretty well organized, unlike many of the other ones I have been to which look like a hurricane just passed through. Didn't find anything though. Like the selection of items they have but as all Marshall's, they could be better in organizing, keeping up the floor cleanliness. Don't usually go in unless I have lots of time to spend since it takes a while to find, try and then purchase an item. Do like that they have weekly new merchandise. As the Earl of Yelp, Jay D. states, "...this Marshalls is the best organized I've seen." I have never had such a positive visual experience at a Marshalls before. To see dress shirts organized in their proper size slots was incredible, but what is truly unbelievable is how organized the men's underwear section looks. I was taken aback. I'm so used to walking over items on the floor and picking through items that are strewn about in bins and on display racks, but not here. Here efficiency and attention to detail are high points of their daily customer service model. But that alone doesn't merit the 4-star rating. It's a combination of their organization and the fact that I found two Ike Behar dress shirts at $24.99 a pop and an Ike Behar necktie marked down to $12.99. Yeah that's right, $12.99!!!!! Let me just reiterate that Ike Behar doesn't have an outlet store so finding items at this price point is like finding $100 inside your In-N-Out Double Double. It just doesn't happen folks. In the neighborhood, I eyeballed Nordy's Rack but opted not. I hedged my bets and visited Marshall's instead. I figured at the end of the day - whatever - I'm looking for - I'll at least have less of a crowd to deal with. If organization is defined by piles, this Marshall is the best organized I've seen. Home and bathroom furnishings were of a larger inventory than I've seen. Even a respectable "electronics" selection - which composed of every 3rd party iPod gadget accessory I've seen in my life. Regardless, I walked out treasure less. Too much of their men's clothing is overly designed with lightning bolts, flames and skulls. Yeah, right up there with my poppin' collar and showcasing my snaggletooth necklace like a frakkin' guido. Maybe next season... read more

my boyfriends aunt was shopping here yesterday. she used a reusable bag to put her stuff in, because marshall's doesn't wipe down their carts (we saw customers putting carts back and their staff not wiping them down after) she put one thing in her reusable SHOPPING bag and this little loss prevention kid came up to her and gave her a very loud speech about how she needs to use a cart. using a cart is not a required law. this store embarrassed her deeply and this situation is just a law suit waiting to happen. this store needs retraining on how to approach a 70 year old woman!!!!!! read more

This Marshall's has a pretty good shoe department. They have men's, women's & children's shoes with good brands. It is well organized. Right now (September) they have a great selection of children's costumes. The store is generally clean and well organized. The wallet and belt selection is pretty limited. read more

I never write reviews but this is just frustrating and some grace should be given sometimes. They close at 7pm. Because of Covid I'm not taking my children to stores so waited until my husband got home from work so I could do a return. I parked out front outside the door and 3 people walked in while I was getting my return out of the trunk. She wouldn't let me in...phone said 6:59. I said I'm just doing a return theres a line of people. Im not coming to browse please I rushed all the way here. Answer was NO. Seconds after she let others in. I was back in my car already and it was still 7 on the dot. For as much money as I spend at Marshalls/TJMaxx/Homegoods just a little grace sometimes. Technically you were still open.
