I visited this Target today for my regular shopping and stopped by the toy aisle to look for collectibles. An employee was stocking the shelves, which I understand is part of the job. As I was browsing, more customers also entered the toy aisle. A few moments later, another employee (male Asian) approached me and asked if I could wait until they finished stocking before looking at the toys. He told me it was "disrespectful" to browse while they were working, and his tone came across as rude and confrontational. I explained that I wasn't the only customer browsing in the aisle, as several other shoppers were there as well. I was surprised because I was simply shopping during normal business hours. I don't understand how browsing merchandise in an open store could be considered disrespectful while employees are stocking shelves. I've never had this experience at any other Target location. At other Target stores, employees are usually friendly and even ask if I need help while continuing to stock the shelves. If it's important for employees to stock shelves without customers nearby, it would make more sense to do so during closing hours or at less busy times. I hope management reviews this incident and reminds employees to treat customers with courtesy and professionalism. Shopping during regular business hours should never make customers feel unwelcome. read more

This review is mainly for the return department. It was a breeze! There was no haste in returning an item that I used but it just wasn't to my liking. I had the receipt ready in the application and all the cashier had to do was scan it. And vol la the return credit will go straight back to my target card. Decent prices and deals throughout the store. I had a found everything that I needed in its designated isle. Easy peasy visit. And this day there were several cashiers working. It's apparently Pokémon season so there were lots of staff on hand. read more

The reviews here seem to be very mixed, but I have only had good experiences. I have ordered items for pick up in store with zero issues, I have wandered gone for specific things and also just wandered around the store browsing. Today, I needed one last thing for Thanksgiving. I searched online and it said they had one left. I was a bit hesitant as other times I have trusted other stores online inventory only to find they were out. I looked to see where it was in the store before I went in. To my surprise, it wasn't very busy, this day before thanksgiving. I found close parking easily. I walked in and walked to the grocery section found the aisle and there it was, exactly what I needed with one left. I was happily surprised, especially since I had a really bad experience at another target recently. The store was clean and well organized. Not the mess I've seen at many other locations. I took my item and went to the checkouts. I wasn't sure if the self checkout kiosks took cash, so I got in line in a regular line. Unfortunately, although there weren't many people, they had many items. I saw an employee walk by so I asked her if any of the self checkout kiosks took cash. She was so nice and friendly and explained that one side of the kiosks did indeed take cash. I proceeded to the self check out, rang up my item and paid cash. I even got change. It was really easy and I was out the door. I will continue to visit this location in the future. read more

Really large Target kind of in the middle of nothing. But, they have a Starbucks in here if you want some of their goods along with a full Target store with groceries, etc. Very clean store, bathroom immediately on your left as you enter. Darn near the size of a larger Walmart but cleaner that most of those I have been in. Only odd thing I notice near the registers is that they have the usual grab and go items like candy, cold drinks, etc. While they did have a nice selection of sodas, on the day I was there, I didn't see a single Diet Pepsi in those refrigerators. Other types of Pepsi, just not the normal diet. Other than that, great story, easy parking, huge selection. Enjoy! read more

I am in a wheelchair and as I got to this target, I realize that I could not get my wheelchair out on my own of the car. I called customer service and they said they would have someone come out and bring one of their automatic scooters to me. James was so kind and brought it out with a big smile on his face and I felt so much relief that I was able to still do my errand. Kathleen help me check out and was also so kind and helpful. It's nice to know that there are people out there that still care and will be helpful when someone is in need. read more

Very uncaring staff. Honestly, one of the hardest companies to give money to. If you stumble upon an employee, they probably won't work in the department you need help in. That's been my experience. Also, what is the point of locking up an item, then, when you finally find a person to unlock the item, they just hand it to you to walk up front and pay? Makes no sense. They have a policy change to do between hrs of 10am to 8pm. I'm here at 10:45am and still closed. I have to wait in these really long lines to buy one item. I used to really like this Target because it was secluded and less busy. Now it's like any other Target. Had to drive out here from the Oceanside East location because they didn't have Zollipops. They also supposedly had Kite Hill almond based yogurt sticks and neither store carried it... bummer! So many dairy options, we need more dairy-free options for kids. The store itself is clean, plenty of parking, has a Starbucks inside. Please carry more vegan friendly products. read more

the store is extremely convenient, being located one block from where I work. but they have taken a stand for racism, sexism and homophobia as their company policy (standing against diversity, equality and inclusivity) so I'll have to start shopping elsewhere despite their cleanliness and convenience. I called them today at 1-800-440-0680 to express my distress at their lack of empathy and compassion toward people of other races, genders or respect for their civil rights. Welll they really stepped up there drive up wait time. This morning Evan delivered my order to my car very fast. The store is always stocked and everyone here is very friendly. Kim and Evan are wonderful. It's a very clean store. Very organized. They have optical w/Optometrist on site. Lots of great frames. CVS pharmacy and I wrote a separate review about this staff. Why take the time to review a large national chain? They are all pretty much the same and target is great but i had to leave a review because of an employee who is truly amazing. Coco is the friendliest and most pleasant checker. If i see her working I'm always hitting up her line. It takes me back to the time when people were nice to one another. There's just something to having time to just stroll through Target and find items you need. From time to time, the Clearance section which is at the end of certain isles, you find great deals. Do not purchase a visa gift card from target or any other target. The card was tampered with but the store clerk and management "helpfully" let me know that Target no longer refunds money, even though it was purchased the same day and the card was clearly tampered with. (I was told it's a new policy starting 1/1/2023) why would target sell something that they know is an issue. Very very disappointing. @target you can do better. If it's an issue then stop selling visa gift cards. read more

This is my go to Target which I happily replaced from the Encinitas location. Love how easy it is for drive up pick up and how efficient the workers are. Recently I had purchased a pick up through the app that included 2 promotional $15 gift card. Me not understanding how it works I was confused when I noticed my card was charged the total of the purchase but split up in 3 transactions. Two being $15 which made me think I actually paid for the gift cards. When I talked to one of the most empathetic, respectful and just plain great people at guest services I understood that my total was correct and the gift cards are discounted from the items. read more

I called in twice to make sure my photos were processing - Tierra answered with a very helpful and polite attitude, then when I came in to pick up my order she acknowledged it was me and had a wonderful fresh smile on her face (even though it was 7pm). I thought to myself: 'She must be a new employee', come to find out she's been there over a year. Great job in finding such a great customer service employee Target! And Tierra, keep it up. Good things will come to you! BEAUTY DEPT: All I needed was a night cream - as I walked down an isle I was greeted by a 'Hello! Can I help you find anything?' To be honest, it kind of took me aback, in a good way! Whenever I need help I always have to go looking for someone and they're usually in another department. This girl's name is TIFFANY. She explained she's part of Target's new BEAUTY CONCIERGE and will walk you through and suggest certain products that would best suit your needs. From make-up to hair. She's worked at other large department stores in their beauty department, so she's super knowledgeable and customer savvy. Tiffany and I chatted it up about different questions I've had (like, why is BB creams so popular now etc . . . ) and she's now there for you! Say HI to Tiffany next time you're in Target Vista South! I've been to Target thousands of times, like all the rest of us, but on this certain trip, I was surprisingly impressed. This if my favorite Target to shop at in the Vista, Carlsbad, San Marcos, Escondido area.They are all good, great prices, friendly staff, good service but this one is close by, large parking lot, not overwhelmingly crowded, and usually it is very very clean. This one also offers groceries and the prices are pretty competitive. They also have free WiFi and a Starbucks inside. They always have what I am looking for in stock! read more

This Target is way better than the other local ones because it's more hidden, so it's far less crowded. Plus, because there are less people here, the selection of products is way better and the shelves are more full. Especially compared to the El Camino Real location. This is definitely my go-to Target and if you're willing to drive the extra 10 minutes or so I think it's worth the time to have a better chance at finding the things you want to buy! read more

The Target staff that works at the Pizza Hut inside the store are lazy. We were there at 6pm tonight (they close at 8pm) and asked to order a personal pan pizza. The girl said they do not have any and refused to make more. My husband looked at her, well you close at 8 though, it's not like it is close to closing time. She refused and just stood there. If you're not going to make any food why are you standing there doing nothing? Cut payroll and take your ass home. This is the third time this has happened. Worse experience at any target I've ever had. There's an employee that I constantly have to avoid in the self check out area whose name I don't know. Since I've walked in this target so many times with my 3 yr old daughter and she knows me, she thinks she can tell me anything while I'm trying to check out and if I don't get some things she makes rude comments. When I went in for Christmas shopping, I was trying to get a lot of things at once so my card didn't go through and she came up to me like I was a criminal. I'm a 43 yr old mother with a Yale degree and professor and my father works in law enforcement, and she said "so what's going on here?" Trying to be intimidating like a bully. Little does she know who I am. I look like just a poor single mother. Anyways so I was trying to explain I needed to look for what I was going to buy and she said "well you should've thought about that before you walked in the store!!!" So I knew she was trying to embarrass me and I wasn't feeling well. So I'm tired of walking in this store and being harassed by her. I talked to the main manager but it didn't help because I just went in last night and she still looked at me and smiled like I see you. It's creepy and weird and I don't think I need to walk into any target store and feel uncomfortable because of a bully employee that probably thinks she is the CEO of the store. Highly don't recommend. Rather drive 40 miles than go to this store again. It's not worth putting myself or my daughter in physical or emotional danger. Security told me to tell them if she bothers me but there's always a different security guard. I just want to be left alone when I go into a target and enjoy it with my little girl. I know target is a corporation and don't care how people get treated by employees but maybe someone will see this and do something about this employee.. she wears glasses and has like copper hair and she's medium height and acts like she is some kind of guard. But shes not. She's just in charge of registers. But shes trying to be intimidating. I'm not intimidated. I just think I shouldn't have to deal with crazy employees and target needs to watch people like her. I'm sure I'm not the only person she harassed. read more
