Instead of verifying a same-day receipt, the associate (Fariba) and her manager defaulted to suspicion rather than verification. A receipt from a purchase made just hours earlier should have been the primary reference point. They relied on an internal process failure involving a missing "red tag" that was not on the item when sold and attempted to shift that burden onto the customer. That is a store issue, not a customer issue. There was no acknowledgment that closed fitting rooms directly affect return rates, and no adjustment in how the situation was handled. They did not account for context or apply basic flexibility in resolving the return. The interaction became repetitive and defensive rather than solution-focused. The lack of listening, judgment, and basic problem-solving made a simple return unnecessarily difficult. They should be embarrassed that this is their level of customer service over a $28 shirt. Fariba continued talking throughout the interaction, repeatedly trying to prove her point without resolving the issue. I ultimately had to ask her to stop talking so much and focus on the return, rather than continuing the back-and-forth. NO CUSTOMER SHOULD EVER HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE.

Satire Alert!!! Satire Alert!!! Satire Alert!!!…read more I said I would never do it... I vowed to keep my opinions to myself.... But after coming to the Grocery Outlet just once... I can proudly say that I will be 100% wearing my "MAGA" hat the next time I shop here! ----Notice the MAGA hats in quotes---- Hey, blame it on the economic policies... Say what you want about political reform... But at the Grocery Outlet in Thousand Oaks... They are definitely all about........ M-aking A-ffordable G-roceries A-gain Ok, I knew they would get YOUR attention! ***Politics have now left the chat*** Alright, enough of that crazy talk, let's get down to brass tacks, shall we? Nowadays, in today's economy, no matter who you are, a deal is a deal, and when you find a good deal, you best act on it. Well, on my first visit to the Grocery Outlet earlier this year, I acted on it. Upon walking in, it initially looks like any other grocery store chain that you've been to. Clean floors, bright lighting, & well stocked aisles... But as you actually make your way down those aisles and you start looking at the prices, you will definitely understand why they say this is a "bargain market" (in a good way). Yeah, at the Grocery Outlet, each item on their shelves has a yellow price tag with the Grocery Outlets price and then a price under that saying Elsewhere's price (which is always more of course). Hey, call it good marketing (pun intended) or just call it plain 'ol discounting psychology 101, in which our brains perceive the value of something and the need/want for that said item, especially when it's a clear was vs now pricing scenario. As consumers, especially in a Capitalist world, we can always justify the saving of money especially when it's around purchasing essential things that we need versus non-essential things that we just want. And groceries are definitely more of a need, but can easily turn into a want especially if you go on an empty stomach. Pro Tip: Never, Ever go the grocery store hungry! But not only do they have really great prices here, but I saw items that I've literally never seen at any other grocers and I've been to them all. This location, located in the heart of Thousand Oaks offers some great values that would definitely make it worth your while to come check them out for yourself. I did google if Grocery Outlet accepts manufacturers coupons, in which it said they did not, but they do occasionally offer their own store-specific coupons as well as digital deals on the Grocery Outlet app so definitely download that. So... Are ready to shop, save & get in on the deals? I'll see you at Grocery Outlet in 1000 Oaks, CA.

I used to work around the area and from time to time I stop by here…read more Yesterday while visiting TO, I decided to stop by and see what I can get into. Upon entering, I can see that it is busy and smelling good too. Pretty good sized store. I have noticed that there are no discount days like how it is in the SF Valley. Except Mondays for military and first responders. Comparing the prices to other Goodwill stores, I find their prices cheaper. Like the 2 branded purses that I have checked. Michael Kors bag was $29.99. Tory Burch was $49.99. In other stores it would have been much higher than that. I looked around and saw a gently worn Kids shoes for $5.99, Towel for $2.99 and a skirt for $4.99. It was a good shopping experience. No line at the register so it was a fast transaction. *Private parking that is shared with other businesses. *I haven't noticed a restroom nor a fitting room.

The money they make comes from selling donated goods, so it's incredibly disappointing to see prices that put those same items out of reach for the people who shop there looking for affordable options. What makes it even more frustrating is being asked at checkout if I want to round up and donate even more. When you're already charging prices like this on donated merchandise, it feels completely tone-deaf. A nonprofit should be focused on making donated items accessible to the community, not pricing them like a retail furniture store. This experience was disappointing and honestly makes me question whether Goodwill is still serving the people it's supposed to help.

Sperry's were actually in good shape and decently priced. If you're a 9.5 and want to splash in some puddles, go get them.
