I visited the TJ Maxx location on March 31, 2026, and had a very disappointing checkout experience that I feel compelled to share. The cashier, Fareba N., asked whether I had a TJ Maxx credit card. I politely responded that I did not and was not interested in applying. I fully understand that employees are required to present these offers, and I acknowledged her effort with a smile and a clear, respectful "no, thank you." However, despite my clear response, she proceeded to repeat the entire credit card pitch again while continuing to scan my items. At the end, she emphasized the potential $8 savings if I applied. While this was already excessive, I remained polite and again declined, reiterating that I preferred to proceed with checkout using my own credit card. At that point, the interaction became highly uncomfortable. She insisted again, this time in a manner that felt unusually aggressive and condescending, repeatedly asking, "You don't want to save $8 today?" The tone and persistence felt less like customer service and more like being pressured by a scripted system, completely disregarding my clearly stated decision. As a frequent shopper at TJ Maxx, I find this particularly disappointing. Not having a store credit card does not diminish customer loyalty or value. I consistently support the store through regular purchases, and respectful treatment should not be conditional on opening a credit account. I want to emphasize that this is not about a single offer. It is about the inability to respect a customer's clear and polite refusal. In past visits, staff have always stopped after one or two attempts and proceeded professionally. This experience went far beyond that norm. This kind of excessive and persistent sales pressure reflects poorly on the store's customer service standards. If this behavior is encouraged or left unaddressed, it risks creating a negative ripple effect on the overall customer experience and brand perception. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reinforces a more respectful, customer-first approach at checkout. read more

Anytime I see a TJMaxx, I will make it a point to go to it!! I love shopping and deals and that's exactly what TJMaxx offers, great deals for clothes, shoes, home goods, food products, purses, pet items.. nearly everything!! I love it, it's one of my favorites. At various TJMaxx's they all differ with things that they offer. There's one TJMaxx that I've been to that offers all sorts of name brand purses, sunglasses and scarves from YSL, Gucci, Chloe, Burberrry and LongChamp. Crazy right?!?? Just visited, found a gorgeous light pink Staud dress for $300. Talked myself in and out of it, and decided to go for it. Went to get in line and there were at least 12 people in line, only 2 cashiers, and 2 other employees not taking guests at the check out stands (one folding clothes, one on a computer, neither moving very fast. I waited about 3 minutes, and the line didn't move at all. I hung the dress back up and walked out. Missed opportunity for a big ticket single-item sale. 4 people standing at the front, two not helping the humongous line of guests. read more

Upon entering the store I noticed merchandise near the entrance almost like an accident waiting to happen. I headed over to the bra area and this young pretty petite girl was picking up a really big mess off the ground,sad to see she was doing that alone considering there was over 40 pieces thrown. It almost appeared as if someone just tore the whole section down and left it there all day. I'm in here approximately 2 times a week and it almost seems as you are short staffed or department scheduling is off. If I can recommend anything I'd like to see associates in each department so it's managed properly. The holidays are here and I hope to not see this kind of mess. The customer service there is very poor ,I done customer service before and I have to say never in my experience have I ever treated customers in such poor service like I experienced the manager that I spoke to was very rude and the way she spoke to her workers .."WOW" I don't understand how she's even the even was able to get the job being a manager. I am rating a 1 star for Sabrina and the name unidentified employee that was with her at the dressing room post. TJ Maxx should terminate the employment of sabrina and the other name unidentified employee. They both displayed aggressive and unprofessional conduct. Sabrina specifically is physically aggressive towards customers during their shopping trips. When her behavior is brought to her attention, Sabrina becomes argumentative and refuses to take responsibility or acknowledge that her conduct is unacceptable for a corporate employee representing TJ Maxx. Sabrina exhibits a range of condescending and rude behaviors, including eye-rolling, turning her back to customers and walking away, refusing eye contact, and using dismissive hand gestures. She also refuses to provide her name and informs customers that the manager will not address her inappropriate behavior. The name unidentified employee joins in Sabrina's inappropriate conduct, by engaging in the verbal aggression with insults at the customer and verbally encourages Sabrina's conduct. (Which I have video footage) While customer service training could potentially benefit both employees, a fundamental disconnect suggests they may be unsuitable for roles requiring customer interaction. Operationally, the continued employment of these two employees could be detrimental to the store's revenue resulting in store closure, and lead to lost jobs. As a long-time customer of this TJ Maxx store, I have never witnessed such a deplorable level of customer service until encountering these two employees. read more

Went into Tj Maxx yesterday evening,I asked a manager about a price on some merchandise because the employee wasn't sure how to handle it. Shift manager by the name of Roya walked up and pulled the dress shirt out of the cashiers hands and gave me the dirtiest look as if I was interrupted her. She asked if I removed the price tag, because customers do that sometimes to get a deal. very rude. I won't ever shop that store again. read more

This location is TERRIBLE. This is our closest location, but we will not be returning. The employees are always in your face and have (on multiple locations) removed items from my cart while shopping. The bathrooms are always swampy and filthy, too. The wait times for check out is always staggeringly long. They are horrible with returns. Every other time I go to make a return, they give me a hard time about it. On one occasion, employee Sara told me to return a dry shampoo to Utah, and that she wouldn't accept it there. Today, Dimitra gave me a hard time about returning a sweater, and passed the return off to Andrea, who ripped off the tag (I had brought in the return with the tag still attached to the garment) and then said that the tag wasn't attached. She then said that the brand wasn't carried at TJ Maxx, even though i had bought the sweater there two days earlier, and the purchase tag had the brand printed on it. Then Andrea said she was going to "check the security cameras to make sure it was the same item," and then she said I was trying to return a different item than I had purchased. They refused to get the manager and basically told me to piss off. WTF??! I tried calling the store afterwards to speak to a manager, and the manager used inappropriate and accusatory language, patronizing pet names (dear, sweetie, etc), and kept interrupting me. I had a friend sit in on the call, and she said it sounded like the manager was gaslighting me. Gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss, much? Okay TJ Maxx, we won't be returning to this location. I'll be reporting this interaction to corporate and to the better business bureau. read more

Came in to return several clothing articles I purchased on the TJ Maxx website. This store does not have a separate line for returns so waited a few minutes, more cashiers were called up and shortly thereafter it was my turn. The cashier helping me was very courteous however, the return system is inefficient . Took about 30 minutes as the cashier had to print a ticket for each and every item I was returning, even though all original tags were attached. The printer wasn't near the cashier so with each item she had to momentarily leave her post, get the ticket, attached it to the clothing and start the process all over again. This is not a store I will frequent nor will I recommend. Having been to similar department stores, there are more efficient ways to handle a return. In light of the pandemic, a separate return counter would be of benefit or even curbside returns. Consider revamping your process, TJ Maxx or hire more help. You have a lot to learn. read more

Ive been in this store 3 times in April and the heater is on! Everyone in the store complaining how hot it is! It makes the customers want to drop what we have and leave! Can't remember how many years I've shopped at this TJ Maxx location, but it's been a lot! This store feels tucked away, even though it's the main anchor in the smaller strip mall it occupies. Maybe because it sits perpendicular to T.O. Blvd., it presents a lower profile. Inside, I found a stocked store still offering lots of gift options, just 10 days before Christmas. To the left of the entrance is a generously sized purse department. Far beyond basic black, ivory, or white, they carry a rainbow of colorful, stylish bags, including designer brands. Accessories include scarves and socks at great prices. I browsed the sleepwear section, but didn't find anything interesting in my size. I was able to track down some gifts for the guys on my list. Won't go into details, in case they happen to read this review before gift exchanging time. I also found a pair of dressy pants for myself. Checkout line moved pretty quickly, and the cashier I had was really friendly and helpful. All in all, a successful shopping venture! read more

As an avid TJ Maxx shopper I am always excited to see the new selection of clothes and home goods. However, by the time I reached the checkout the checker at the register, was incredibly rude and gave me a hard time about my return. I told her I had purchased the item earlier this week at that store and noticed stains on it so I brought it back within the same week. She did not want to take it back because she claimed that they would never sell something that was stained or damaged. After a lengthy discussion she took back the item and laughed in front of me to her coworker. Absolutely uncalled for so I decided not to purchase the additional items I had found that day. I've been coming to this store for years, but recently I had to switch to different locations as it is now unpleasant to be here. The staff is incredibly unprofessional: stands around talking obnoxiously loudly, blocking merchandise, and giving a dirty look if you try to politely get something from the shelf. Even worse, their conversations are not work related; they're just negative gossip (I also speak Russian so I understand their conversations very well, which are all in Russian). The manager needs to retrain these staff or hire someone who can act professional and be respectful to costumers. That would make this store a pleasure to frequent once again! read more

This TJMaxx has amazing stuff but the employees blow my mind. One of the managers, Roya, is very stuck up and bland both to customers and employees. I feel so bad for the cashiers because they're being constantly pushed by people like her to ask for TjMaxx credit cards (which I don't recommend opening because the interest rate is insane). They get extremely low pay and very few shifts and the workers don't seem happy at all. The return process takes a ridiculous amount of time because the managers constantly force cashiers to print stuff for every return one by one to make sure we're not stealing?!?!? So i purchased 3 identical items, cosmetic brush cups. They were different colors. But all were from the same product company, Lifestyle products, they all had the card display in them and they had the same starting sku 87-2211. 2 of them were $3 & 1 was $4. I asked the cashier why, she looked at the bottom of them (there is Nothing printed on the bottom of these) then so unpleasantly said these are obviously different. Did not bother to look at the manufacturer or talk to a manager. Then proceeded through my transaction with ZERO personality. I can only give my MAN-POV (point of view). Drum roll: Eh. It's my local designer discount store (further is Ross, even further is Marshalls), so I go...but I'm not really ever happy or satisfied. I'm really interested in 3 departments of things: food, men's clothing, men's shoes, and occasionally 3 others: kitchen, jewelry (watches), and luggage. In all categories, they're sub-standard in them all compared to every other TJ Maxx location, and compared to every other Ross or Marshalls. For me, there's a lot of room for inventory improvement, but it's smaller square footage than most all others I've been to. A few of positive things to say: ======================== 1. The line to check-out tends to be long, but there's always 5-10 cashiers on-duty, and they're pleasant as can be. 2. The shelves, and what inventory they do have, is kept as neat and tidy as possible. 3. The newly remodeled center where it's located is bomb now. It was greatly needed. read more

However, the person at the department for which I had a question had NO idea about the merchandise and did not even seem to care. He couldn't even understand what I was talking about regarding sizes in his own department. Customer service is virtually non-existent these days. In addition , a Safety Shield Wall installed protecting cashier & customer. Upon entrance there is a visible numbered capacity & a welcoming associate in charge of sanitizing every shopping cart. There are marked aisles for social distance directives inc. announcements , to prevent customer crossover traffic. This store is very clean , organized & well maintained . Very high end Designer items at discount. I've been shopping here since my teen boys & daughter were toddlers. In months since lockdown closure & recent reopening , I've minimized visits to quickly purchase essentials . The building & entire mall has been beautifully updated . I returned 2 things without a receipt which I never do, but I did not buy the clothes so I didn't have receipt this one time, I did not except money back either. They acted so ridiculous about it! The jeweler tonight made a customer feel bad about not getting a credit card with her jewelry item, she was literally PRESSURING the poor woman. She said "oh so you don't like saving money" and she just kept going on and on. Coincidentally enough, it's the same sale rep who never asks if I need help when browsing, as if my money isn't valid for her. She's complained about the jewelry section not being busy to a sales associate- as she's never asked I needed help.. I went to the member morning event today for card holders and I was so excited after going to others down in Orange County. Oh was I disappointed. I walk in to the employees looking at me with a disgusted face. Not welcoming AT ALL. I was very polite but did not receive the same treatment back. There was no refreshments and it was very disorderly. It seemed like they didn't know what was going on. I waited there for 3 hours and they didn't call names every 20-30 min as promised. Only 3 gift cards were given if that. They were staring at me while I was shopping as if I was a thief. Very discriminatory. At checkout I asked a question and she pretended she didn't hear me. I asked two more times. same response. I asked another time and all she said was that she didn't understand. While waiting I bought a pair of sunglasses but realized that it was uneven and the box wouldn't even close. I return it not even 5 min later and they were giving me a hard time. They gave a rude look and was talking to their workers in another language. I felt very uncomfortable and will not be returning to this store again. Even if it's a further drive, go to another TJ maxx you'll have better luck with actual good service. Very sad, I love Tj maxx. read more

I grew up stopping in this store and was entirely shocked at the riff raff vibe in other stores around Ca, yes it is a discount store but this one pulls it off pretty comfortably. Decent luggage and travel supplies. Great doggy toys, why pay more when the whole point is they get destroyed? Nice store, very good designer section, but sizes are wonky. The wanted the receipt (again) to search for the refund...I had disposed of it 2 weeks after cashier supposedly processed my refund. Complained to management...they said they had no record of refund and could not find me in their "system". Lost over $300 because of this situation. read more
