I like stopping here for the little random items when I'm in the area or grabbing things on the fly. The staff are all really nice and that's a huge plus. Very helpful as well and they enjoy having conversations with the customers. My only compliant are the long lines. I've had to stop here a few times on lunch break and I feel the hiring manger should start hiring more people to work here to avoid the long wait in one single line. It's not the cashiers fault they just need more help running the register. Seems chaotic for the manager to expect them to stock and run register at the same time running back and forth. I came here on a Friday or Saturday night and grabbed a few things I needed. I grabbed them, but I did not purchase them. Why? Because I stood in line for a good 5 to 10 minutes and realized that the line hadn't moved. There was ONE checkstand open, everyone in front of me had like 40 items, and I guess speed is not their employees strong suit. I get it, it's a dollar store, you're not going to have the greatest checkout experience. But this one was just bad. Mental note: pick a different location next time. And sorry to the employees who had to re-stock the shelves with my ditched items. You guys need to tell your manager you need more employees to run check-outs on a weekend! read more

Dirty, dark and disorganized. The store was dirty and dusty both inside and out, it was poorly lit, and nearly every aisle was a mess. To make it worse, one employee had his mask under his nose and another had her mask under her chin. I won't be back. read more

Just went there (4/18/17, 4:30pm) to buy some things. Had the first experience of discrimination based on race!!. The woman at the cash register (in her 50s, wearing a head cover), was super pleasant to 2 other customers in front of me (who were similar race then she was), she was saying hi and was being very friendly to them. When my turn came she completely ignored me didnt even say hi. I said hi once, no response, I said good afternoon the second time. Then she finally acknowledged my presence. But still kept an attitude. The only thing that was different was my race, this woman is a racist. She should be fired, nobody should be treated by the color of their skin!!!!!! Im very disappointed, hopefully Dollar Tree management reads this sometimes and maybe do something about their racist employee. read more

I hate writing bad reviews but I I came in to this Dollar tree for a couple items. I found out my family bought the same exact items so I came in to return a couple things. I know you cannot return a item it says on the receipt and I am okay with store credit. However, like most retail stores they do not offer store credit on a card. I was informed you have to bring back each item and swap out everything each time. I came in today and when i got up to the cash wrap Carmen told me rudely that I needed to bring in my exchanges to her as soon as I walk in. I told her sorry, I didn't know that but I had my receipt. The whole transaction she had a attitude and tossed my bagged purchases at me when she was done bagging. No need for rude customer service over a couple dollars. read more

Nicest, friendliest dollar tree I have ever been into. I came here for cold medicine and candy for my students. This store is way bigger than the dollar tree in my area. It is immaculately clean and the employees greeted me as soon as I walked in. Has cool odds and ends, but it smaller than Walmart and a million times cheaper than any local drug store. Granted you still dont want to buy certain things here (eg pregnancy test, condoms, alcohol), but this is a Dollar Store. Solid 5 stars. read more

As far as discount stores goes, this one is always great. Today I witnessed a patron belittle the cashier and her reaction was professional and helpful. Perfect place to pick up that Greeting card for that special someone . Also they carry quick snacks if you are hungry . Chips , Cookies , Candies and even Ice Cream . Also I like coming here just for there cleaning supplies . I call it my Pit Stop Shop !! So if you need something quick and right away then I do suggest coming here . It is very similar to the 99cent Store . But this location is pretty clean and has lots of your everyday needs . The parking here is not bad . Big Parking Lot and is located near the Drive through Starbucks . If your looking for Cleaning supplies or Laundry Detergent , Tooth Paste , Tooth Brush or any thing for your house hold then I do suggest coming here because it is never busy and you can get checkout quick . Dollar Tree is such a fun place to shop! My daughter and I purchased several items there that we would use to make decorations and party favors for a baby shower. We found everything there we needed. However, when we saw slightly different items at another store for the same price, we decided to return some of the original items to Dollar Tree. We were unsure they would take back all of the 20 glasses we purchased, but the cashier was very friendly and helpful. She 'stretched' store policy, and we were able to return every item we didn't need. Thank you for such great customer service! read more

hello good afternoon I hope you pay attention to my complaint today September 27/2022 at 2:48 I went to this happy location and I was choosing items for my son's birthday who turns 18 I went with all the attitude in the world I lasted a long time in line because there was only one cashier I said okay I'll wait and then another line was opened to pay which made me happier because it was going to last less time I lined up in the new line and as soon as the cashier began to collect the items I told him that he needed 6 balloons which made him angry and he gave me a very ugly face and he went to give them to me which made me angry and I told him I don't want anything anymore and I went to the exit and I came back and I told the cashier I can talk to the supervisor which she told me the one who attended you is the supervisor talk to him and I came back to talk to him and I told him he had a number or something where I could call someone higher up and he said no nothing there and I told him you have a way to attend to the p very ugly people and he said yes but I'm tired I've been working since 5:00 in the morning and I said yes but it's not my fault and he told me well it is what it is and I told him what a terrible job you are and he said yes and that. I don't want you to go back to this store and there it bothered me more too and I told him a rude thing because he didn't respect you or I respect that way. to sue for discrimination the only thing I ask is that he ask me for an apology and that he never treat anyone like that again. read more

This is probably the best Dollar Tree in San Diego! It's always nice, clean and organized. You can actually find things unlike other dollar trees I've been to down south....S*** was broken and it was just a pile of mess. This is also my kids favorite store lol. read more

First time there and it was a most horrible experience. I walked in, lighting was super dingy. I let the cashier know I had items to exchange and that I had my receipt. I got the new items I wanted to purchase and got in line. I waited patiently and then it was my turn. The cashier, different than the one when I walked in, started to grab my return items to ring them up as she was finishing saying her good byes to her friends or regular customers, I'm guessing, so she wasn't really paying attention. I was like wait please, these are returns, cause I didn't want them rang up again by accident. I handed her my receipt and it went all downhill from there. She said, we don't accept Christmas returns but I'll do it this time, and I said the other location in Kearny right up the street said I could bring these back, mind you nothing was opened, it may be good to touch base with that store so customers are being given the same info cause it's a little frustrating being told different things from the same stores. She sighed at me and rolled her eyes and said they are a different district. What should have been a quick in/out took too long and I had to endure a cranky cashier who also complained that she needed to go take her break since she's been working for 5 hours straight. I told her I could wait for her to change out so she could go but she insisted on still taking care of me...it was strange. Funny how she took her sweet time with the customers before me talking about hair dye and when she dyed her hair and how it use to be a rainbow color. I will never go back to this location again regardless if Waze shows it as the closes one. No bueño. Even my son commented how it's sad how cashiers can be rude. This Dollar Tree is a little smaller than most others but I like it because it's quiet and you never have to wait long in line. Perfect place to stock up on snacks and water on the way to work. Nice staff - they will help you find whatever you need. Downside is the parking is really tight and pretty limited. read more

Wow...I just left this dollar tree after buying quite a few items for my retail store for Valentines. I had my 6 month old and 2 year old with me because I wasn't able to get a babysitter today. I was about to leave after I piled everything (after paying) onto the cart and the cashier says very loudly, "no carts outside lady" and I looked back at her and another employee is shaking her head at me and I asked, "how am I supposed to take everything?" (I bought 9 vases that didn't fit in bags!! As well as other merchandise and I also had my 6 month old in a car seat) and no one said anything or bothered to help even though there was a third employee just standing there watching... long story short, my 2 year old almost got run over because I couldn't hold his hand in the parking lot.
