This is actually way better than the Dollar Trees next to my house. It's always well organized and clean. Most of the store is pretty stocked but there were some items missing, quite a bit of items missing from the travel section area :( and there were a few sections that didn't have much inventory. Not sure how often this store is stocked. They do have an extensive candy area, which is nice. I do notice every time I come here, that there's only one register open. Although it's not super busy when I come, it would be nice to have more than one register open. Parking near this location is tough because of the tight parking spaces. I park a little further away to the left of the store where I find that the parking spaces are a little bit wider. read more

Shopping in San Diego, California... We were driving past this Dollar Tree when I told my cousins that they should look in this store since we don't have this chain in Hawaii! Some items were priced at $1.50. Greeting cards were $1.25. We looked at individual items for exact prices. We bought greeting cards and snacks. I got some artificial flowers for the cemetery visits. We looked at reading glasses, household supplies, kitchen gadgets, etc. The store was clean and organized. Service was efficient and polite. We'll be back! read more

One of the worst locations. The service here needs improvement, they always have one cashier and there are constantly over 10+ people in line. The managers are in their office instead of helping people at the register. The store is always a mess and so unorganized. The parking in this plaza is also the worse no matter what time you go, so if you find an open spot anywhere just park there as you probably won't find another one. read more

We enjoy checking the Dollar Tree stores for any bargain items when in the area. Most Dollar Tree stores are the same when it comes to the store chain structure. They sell holiday decorations. The wall decorations, gift bags of all sizes, paper plates, napkins, to cutlery to match. They have kitchen supplies, miscellaneous shelf staple foods, bathroom supplies, office supplies, kids toys and books, drinks, chips, candy, cleaning supplies, small OTC meds to other surprises. These types of discount stores are a hit and miss kind of shopping. If they have an awesome item, the word is out! It's gone quickly! You have to pick it up if you think it's a bargain! Overall, we're here for the gift bags, some cleaning supplies, and car air fresheners, and the surprise finds! It's a shared parking lot. The employees were cordial and helpful. read more

$HELIUM BALLOONS $1.50. CHA-CHING$ Some deals can't be beat. I don't know about you but as much as I like festivities paying $8 to $15 for a balloon is just atrocious. And so I've learned the Dollar Tree has the helium balloons for only $1.50. What the heck? I'll get you seven instead of one. I still have four helium balloons since August 4th and they have NOT been deflated as of this review. In fact I want to put them to rest but they were for my kiddo who's a teenager. So I guess I just have to watch until it's deflated, ya heard? Yes, they may be the smaller version but they're cutesy and fun. Also, do you really need a number balloon? There are other goodies you can purchase for a birthday party as well. I would suggest check out Dollar Tree first before you go to Amazon or Party City. You'll be saving a tons. This is by far my FAVORITE Dollar Tree! I am so impressed with how clean and organized this store is! Everytime I visit, I'm able to find exactly what I'm looking for because of how neatly organized it is. In addition, the customer service here is top notch! I believe the store managers name is Connie if I recall correctly and you can tell she has great pride in running her store location. The employees here are smiling and have positive attitudes and that usually trickles down from the head of the store! So great job Connie and Team! I'm rating this store as what it is -- a low cost shopping option. The selection at this store is particularly good. I am amazed at their holiday decor and goodies. I always get really nice gift bags from here. As other reviewers have shared, their gift wraps are often very cute and I am shocked to find character gift wraps for a dollar. I came by today to pick up items to entertain a small kid. I knew the items would get wrecked quickly so I didn't want to spent a lot on them. I found some really cute glitter sticker packs and even a large selection of block and flip-a-flap and pop-up books. So far the block books have taken a lot of abuse and survived. On my recent stop, some items were raised to $1.25 but this is expected with the recent severe inflation going on. I always get good customer service from this location. I always get asked if I found everything I wanted or how my day is going. One staff member once went out of her way to locate an item for me and even gave suggestions for when it would be back in stock. read more

I go to this Dollar Tree several times a week - never-ever had an issue until tonight. The angry older woman checking people out didn't say hello, good bye or thank you to anyone in line. When I asked for a second bag, as she was cramming my chips into a single bag she sneered and ripped the bag off the stand like I asked her for her wallet. As I was leaving I said "You're welcome. Astounding deals. They offer brand name products for superior bargains. Everything here is only $1. I have purchased Advil medication, glade fragrance, lady speed stick etc. They offer a superior greeting cards and gift bag selection. You can purchase cards 2 for $1. What a steal. I purchased 6 Birthday for only $3 and bought 2 gift bags for $1 each. Exceptionally cute, unique gift bags with superior quality for only a dollar. This location is well stocked. Very clean inside. No debris are trash in the aisle. An incredibly clean, neat, tidy store. At times the lines are really loooong but the cashiers do the best to move the lines. I've never shopped much at dollar stores because I'm a minimalist that hates junk and junky quality things. I've taken a few trips to this Dollar Tree for work gifts though, and have to admit that I was somewhat wrong. Sure, it's not the best quality, but some stuff are actually decent, and with the right creative coach, you can actually put together some cute raffle gifts. And some things you don't need top quality for, like a bathroom garbage bin. Shout out to Melissa who was the only cashier in a busy store. Her line was starting to get long with me buying 20 mugs, but she efficiently helped me wrap the mugs in newspaper and found me a sturdy box to carry them. read more

If you are looking for your average Dollar Tree items this is an ok place to go but there a few things you should know before choosing this location to do your shopping. 1: The shopping center where this is located is always packed with people and hard to find parking. 2: Once you do find parking, safe bet you won't be able to open your car door wide enough to get out of it, at least not without hitting the car next to you. Safest bet is to park off the side walk near the road. 3: They only have 3 carts out at a time!!!! That is insane! When I asked an employee she relied with, "Um...yeah... I think we only have 3 out on the sales floor today...we encourage people to use the baskets..." 4: Which brings me to #4. Customer service is god awful. A lot of bad or "I don't care about my lame job" attitude. 5: Lastly the store itself is extremely small! Smallest dollar tree I've ever been to. Not a bad Dollar Tree location. It's located in the same plaza as Mitsuwa in Kearny Mesa. The parking lot is always busy with people coming and going but I've never had trouble finding a spot. They have a lot of seasonal decor for parties and holidays. The carry a lot more snacks than other DT stores. They even have Cracker Jacks here! read more

I have to say, I'm usually not a huge fan of Dollar Tree but this location is great! The store is extremely clean and organized. You are able to easily find what you are looking for. The employees are very friendly. Every time I have come in someone actually welcomes you in. This is very unusual for a dollar store. Some of the items I usually buy are party items like gift bags and disposable forks and knives. The prices cannot be beat. The parking lot is shared with a lot of other stores yet I have never had trouble finding a spot even at lunch time on the weekdays. Who can resist Dollar Tree? I'm not sure. I've been to too many probably. I forgot my Dermasil lotion and my hands have been dried out since winter hit. I just bought a tube in the town where I lived and forgot to pack it. Since I was over at Mitsuwa Marketplace, I decided to look around the shopping center and found this store. Getting the lotion for $1.00 is a great deal. They also have acne wash and scrub for $1.00. That makes Target look expensive, even though the sizes don't always match. I also buy some snacks and the nacho cheese dip is just as good as that from Frito-Lay that's around $3.00. The cashier was friendly and efficient. read more

Love the store itself-close to my home and great prices. My issue is the poor customer service I have experienced lately, including today. I was standing in line to be checked out, and the clerk sent me to a different line. Not happy, but ok. But when an employee wanted to purchase some items and the clerk opened her line to help her, I was really upset. Her response was "she's an employee." Really??? I'm a paying customer and if you could walk back to your register to help the employee, you could have taken 5 minutes to wait on me in the first place. A pretty good location. It is in a plaza with many other stores so you can get just about everything you need. The store is a pretty good size with a good variety. For this trip, Adam and I were getting picture frames. Honestly, the frames are as nice as some we got from Wal Mart so we might as well save some money. They had an abundance of frames which was great since I needed 6 of the same. I was also able to get a picture hanging kit to ensure I had enough hooks for the frames. It seemed as if more staff was needed. I saw 2 staff members for a Saturday afternoon and they were both busy away from the register. It took a few minutes for one of them to get to the register once they saw us there. Overall, there are a lot of items you can get here that are comparable to items you can get at Wal Mart but much cheaper, but this location needs more staff. read more

I love discount stores such as Dollar Tree because seriously, you can find some AMAZING goodies that are only $1... Why would you spend more on the same quality of similar items elsewhere? I'm lucky enough to already live close to the Dollar Tree in the plaza where Walmart is down on Aero Drive but imagine when I found out that there was a Dollar Tree that was EVEN CLOSER to my house! I somewhat dread going down to that Aero drive location because parking is always hectic and there are cars and pedestrians everywhere... This Dollar Tree location is located in the plaza where Ross/ Mitsuwa/ etc. is but is located a bit further down, next to a sporting/bike shop. The store is extremely clean and nicely organized, which is very appealing. They aren't hugely staffed but you can always find nice employees around the store if you ever need help finding anything. I've bought a bunch of random things from Dollar Tree and will continue to do so :P Will definitely go to this Dollar Tree location from now on to avoid clusters of cars and people from the Dollar Tree down in Murphy Canyon. read more

I was so excited to find some good stuff here since I rarely come in. Just to be greeted by a wonderful not so helpful employee. She had a horrible attitude, no eye contact, no hello...she looked straight and even rolled her eyes because I needed cash back. I was so confused. Let's not mention she had a white LACE face mask.
