What made this experience frustrating is that the cashiers are usually very nice, which is why this stood out so much. Today around 11:40 am, I had the rudest encounter. The cashier had her headphones in, was dismissive, and told me she was the only one ringing customers at the time--which wasn't true. Because of that, they refused to give me the item I had already paid for. I was willing to pay for another one just to avoid any issues, but being lied to directly was really upsetting and unnecessary. This could have been handled so easily with honesty and basic customer service. Very disappointing experience compared to how this store usually is.

The building was a former Ford auto plant, which gave them plenty of room to work with. The mall opened in 1994. It's primarily an outlet mall, but they have lots of other retailers as well. They have a Dick's Sporting Goods, they have a Home Depot across the parking lot , for clothes, they have Marshalls, Kohl's, Burlington, Old Navy and lots of others. They even have a furniture store They have stores ranging from bargain to luxury . They have restaurants ranging from Dave and Buster's, to Burger King to Popeyes to Jollibee, as well as food and snacks in all different. Nationalities. If you can't find something to eat here, you are not hungry. They have a movie theater with 20 screens, other play places, and . They even have a "cattery.". With roughly 200 stores, if you can't find what you are looking for here, you aren't looking hard enough. Of course, the stores do change from time to time. This is what was there when I was there..... The mall is in a giant circle, so it makes it very hard to get lost. Just keep walking, and you will come back to the door that you came in. The place can get busy, especially during the holidays. I was there on a Sunday, with a lot of people there, but again the size made the crowds much more manageable. The owners are an older Chinese couple who are quiet, reserved, and genuinely kind. One of the things I cherish most about Soyodo is how peaceful and calm the store is. The prices are beyond great if you love vintage clothing and know fabrics. I may have found my favorite dress of all time here for a whopping $14 (because it's a two piece set of decorative vintage fabric) it was in the premium section and the volunteers were adorable making sure I knew why it was priced this way. (I couldn't afford a yard of this fabric retail I'm giddy about a vintage two piece set that I can customize). To then discover that the proceeds go to support women's scholarships was the ultimate bonus! My grand total for everything was $54 and I happily gave my change to the donation bucket by the register. If you are in the area and love unique vintage items this is a must explore. I had to resist the urge to buy several of the tea cup collections. I'm a sucker for vintage tea sets and they have several that are stunning!
