Dollar Tree on Guadalupe and Hawes has a horrible return policy, and rude staff. I bought garland in the morning and went to return 1 of the 3 I had bought in the afternoon and the lady who had sold it to me acted like she was irritated and said "we don't take seasonal returns". RIGHT- Because it's November 28th and you'll never get 1 garland sold by December 25th and Dollar tree will go under because of a $4 piece of cheap garland. I looked at the website and they clearly say returns are accepted...so this rude employee just didn't want to do her job. read more

I never thought that I would be writing a review on a Dollar Tree. This location is absolutely disgusting. It smells like old curry, smelly feet, and sewage all in one. I checked out the store, and I guess I got spoiled by the one in Fountain Hills because it's recently remodeled. Many of the shelves were empty, even whole rows of them. Oh well. This is the Dollar Tree featured on a TikTok video...and I shop at Dollar Tree. Actually, I USED TO SHOP at Dollar Tree. To have items taken from your hands and being accused of stealing them is wrong. Monica, the worker featured in this video, did everything wrong. Rather than ask the young man the name of the employee who rang him up, she simply grabbed the PAID FOR items out of his hands, walked to the back of the store (despite his protests), interrupted ANOTHER employee while she was using the bathroom, and asked her if she'd sold him those items. Of course the employee said yes. The young man had declined a bag, and did not take his receipt. This employee couldn't even be bothered to simply say "I apologize for accusing you of stealing". Instead, she tried to cover up her terrible customer service *and profiling*, by trying to make it sound as if this buyer was the one in the wrong for declining a bag and not taking a receipt. I understand there is theft in stores. But the humiliation of not only being accused of shoplifting, but of having the items you're holding snatched from your hands, then being told that YOU are the one in the wrong, is absolutely unacceptable. She claims it is their store policy?? To grab items from a shoppers hands? To accuse someone of being a thief simply because they were leaving the store with the two items purchased NOT in a bag? It's their store policy to interrupt another employee during a bathroom break to ask what they sold in their check out line? It's policy to humiliate the customer, be proven wrong, refuse to apologize, then tell the customer they can never return, use curse words, then call the customer a vulgar name? THIS is Dollar Tree policy? Really? A simple apology could have prevented ALL of this. And this is why I won't ever shop at THIS Dollar Tree or any others, EVER. I was at the dollar tree today and the most awful customer service was given to this elderly gentleman. He was using a cane to walk and had a shopping cart he was loading at the checkout line, the lady checking him out advised him rudely that he couldn't take cart outside. He then became flustered and asked her if she could help him. Mind you I saw two employees behind her chit chatting, instead of asking them to assist him. Her response back was "no i can't." And moved on to checking me out. I couldn't not believe her response I advise the man I could assist him to his car. Train your employees to be more considerate to the elderly community. read more

I frequent this dollar tree as it's close to my home and I came in one day to buy a drink while I'm on my break. I decided to use the bathroom bc I needed to go #2. and some employee literally decided to knock on the door and yelling at me to leave accusing me of stealing my items that's already been paid for. My favorite Dollar Tree in this area because service here is always friendly. Even when I needed to do an exchange on some items. They had no issue and did the swap with a smile. Don't know how the staff seems to stay so happy but somehow they manage to do so and it is appreciated. There is usually a good size section of festive holiday items up front that rotates out depending on the time of year -- Easter, Valentines, St. Patty's, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. Tons of stuff that would cost more at other stores can be found here for just a buck. Things such as frames, mirrors, party decorations, greeting cards, gift bags = $1! read more

Fiesta Village was a dying center until Walgreen and Big Lots went in, so while I'd rather see more mom and pop stores, I'm glad those stores and this new Dollar Tree opened up to make the center come alive again. I think it opened in November and I've been coming here since about two weeks after they opened. When you are visiting an area it's nice to have a dollar store nearby to provide you with basic supplies like paper towels, Kleenex, cleaning products, etc. I usually come in for one specific item and end up Ieaving with $5-10 worth of other stuff. Oh, yeah, I need bandaids, and lotion, and a plastic container, and some nail polish remover. I don't need to spend hours pouring over products deciding which one is the most economical, they all cost the same. At this particular location I have been highly impressed with the manager, at least I think he's the manager. He always seems to be there and goes out of his way to greet people and help them find what they need. He makes sure the store is always clean and organized, too. That's the kind of attitude that will keep people coming back! read more

I'm new to the area and recently went to this store! Hated my experience here employees yelling a conversation from one end to another. It was horrible! I had my toddler and infant with me so i was really just trying to go in and out. The cashier put all of my stuff in one bag This included: 3 Gatorade Cookie box 2 toys 3 bags of sunflower seeds I had my hands full with a diaper bag and an infant in one hand and my dollar tree in the other. When I open the door my Dollar Tree bag ripped and all my stuff all over the floor inside the store as well as outside. I saw the manager hoping he or any of the 2 employees that were around would help and they didn't. Instead two customers did. I put my stuff in a register that was closed I just needed everything bagged properly. One of the employees (who also had a strong scent of cigarettes)saw me and I asked her if she could bag it up for me she responded "I'm not in that register," I told her that I was going to do it myself and she said "please don't do that my manager is right there I'll get in trouble and your not suppose to you touch amything" I was sooo upset And she noticed so she ended up bagging it up! Never again will i be attending that store for the lack of service! Horrible! I hope management reads this! And I will be contacting the store for another complaint! read more

I am giving the store 4 stars! It is ALWAYS well stocked with timely merchandise, and the customers service is great! They greet their customers and are always helpful. The manger is very kind and he works right alongside his employees. I never fail to find some item or two that my great granddaughters will love. This store is absolute MESS! When this store opened a few years back it was clean and orderly I enjoyed shopping here for cleaning, holiday decorations and misc $1.00 items. I liked it here and have recommend it to family and friends. But the last year or so this store has turned into a pig sty (although I think even the pigs would leave). Do Dollar Tree representatives or the owner of this store ever inspect this place? Shut it down for a few days and clean it up. Do the employees have any pride where they work? This is the worst store for shopping $1 items, go some where else do not make the mistake I have made. Wow, I go to dollar tree all the time, I love the store. But my god, this dollar tree is the DIRTIEST dollar store, shoot the dirtiest store, I've ever been in! It looked like someone broke in and ransacked the whole store! There was stuff all over the floors, boxes stacked up everywhere, and nothing was where it should be. I guess because the two women that worked there were to busy just sitting there eating ice cream. One even said over the speaker for the other employee to bring her, her opened ice cream from the back that she'd been eating. She even continued eating a popsicle while she checked us out! This was my first visit to this particular Dollar Tree. Never again. I went in to buy 3 Snicker bars to tide my son, myself and daughter over for a couple hours while we went to pack food for the hungry at Feed My Starving Children across the street. I only had cash - a $50 bill. The cashier told me, quite rudely, that she couldn't break that. I was confused...it wasn't a $100 bill or some exorbitant amount -- it's $50. It would have been $45 in change. That's 2-$20's and a $5. She didn't HAVE that??? She didn't even look in her drawer to be sure - she just told me "no". So I pressed her a little more, asking why and she got very nervous and said "Uh, uh well - we're not supposed to take large bills." OK...$50 is NOT a large bill...then she said, "It's Saturday - I don't have the change." There was never any, "Let me ask the manager and see if I can get change." or anything. The customer?? Who's that??! RIDICULOUS!!! This was after I spent about 15 minutes of wasted time in an outrageously long line. Never, ever again. And I will be telling corporate. I drove to Walgreens across the parking lot (which I should have done in the first place) and bought the Snickers there - no problem. Wow, guess what -- they had CHANGE! What a concept. Didn't even blink an eye. I've been to yard sales that were better prepared than this joke of a store. read more
