Normally I wouldn't take the time to give a bad review about a dollar store but after shopping at this store for longer than I can remember I can tell you I won't be going back there again. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! Here I am doing my usual night shopping for several essentials I usually save to buy at my local dollar store. As I'm looking I am overtaking by the urge to use the bathroom so here I think why not use their bathroom, relieve myself and continue with my shopping. Well as it turns out they only have a single operational bathroom even though there are no signs pointing to the second one being out of order. The only available one is occupied by an EMPLOYEE I am told. So I wait and wait and wait for over 15 minutes and mind you the entire time I can hear this employee chatting and laughing at jokes on the phone(call was on speaker I could tell you the details they were talking about from how loud it was). I keep waiting until I am uncomfortable and I knock on the door to see if they are almost done and they just continue to chat on the phone for another 5-10 minutes but here comes Angela from the front desk to reprimand me and tells me I can go somewhere else. I'm just glad I didn't spend a cent before that happened. I certainly won't be coming back knowing how this store cares about its customers. Disgruntled minimum wage employees will do that to your business. I highly recommend going a few extra miles to the next Dollar store further down. Negative stars if possible. read more

I placed an order online which was an easy process. The problem came afterwards when I received email messages stating that the items were available to pick up at the store location they were intended to be at. After checking several times with Management and staff at that store location and waiting two weeks, after receiving from Family Dollar corporate that the order was in. The managers and the staff were unable to verify the order, I then called Family Dollar customer service 1-800 line and spoke to a customer service rep that stated they were unable to track my order due to their inability to know where the product may have ended up at, and what truck or store location it may have been sent to. So I waited all this time after and never received my products. It is now been a month and I have not received my refund. Beware of ordering from family Dollar corporate online and website !!! Especially due to what is a logistical nightmare when you can't track a customers order, nor refund their money in a quick manner for your in ability or lack there of to give the consumer what they purchased on your website. With all the negative reviews that family dollar store has received it is quite evident and sad that corporate management or its CEO or owner refuse to run this corporation in the manner that it should be ran. No wonder why you have so many shoplifters that simply go in to these stores and take what they want when you have corporate management basically doing the same to their legitimate consumers. This definitely isn't in my norm- but my mind is actually blown, and I'm glad I opted to be "lazy" and only trek 1/4 of a mile to the store on the corner, in lieu of battling a box-box store on a Saturday afternoon! I've only ever been to a Family Dollar up in Salome- basically the only store they have, there! I guess it never occurred to me to check this one out, literally just down the street a block or two, for some basic household goods. This WOULD be deserving of 4 stars, if there were a couple of things improved. First- the clutter. It was horrendous anxiety trying to navigate through the extremely tight isles that were less than properly organized. There was stuff thrown just about everywhere & displays nearly blocking any cart access to many isles. As far as cleanliness & organization goes- it needs some MASSIVE improvement! And- the employees were not at all very helpful. No one greeted. Not a single person was around to help locate anything. Barely was greeted at the register. And then, they have those long rods attached to carts to prevent leaving the door with them... so, I'm still floored I had to make THREE trips to my vehicle to haul all my bags out. No help. Just HOPING no one would opt to theft the remainder of what I paid for between hauling each load out. It was ridiculous & very inconvenient! The reason I am happy & opt to give the 3 stars is because shopping here saved me a LOT of money! Literally, about 1/2 the cost of what you'd spend going to WalMart! And, it wasn't secluded to "cheap"- majority of my purchase was BRAND NAME, high quality household goods, just a fraction of the cost elsewhere! (Glad, Lysol, Febreeze, Clorox, Ziplock, Hefty, etc...) The most expensive item on my receipt was cat litter, which I paid $9 for a large box of Fresh Step w/ Febreeze Island Tropics scent... that would usually cost me $13+ at WalMart! So, as far as quality & prices go- I'm totally sold on utilizing Family Dollar & saving a significant amount on everyday items! There is quite a variety to choose from, as well. They carry just about everything, aside from produce & liquor. (Yes, you can also get beer, wine & tobacco products here!) So, I certainly think it is worth it to shop here for those who are on a tight budget & want to save but still utilize brand name products w/ decent quality. You certainly get what you pay for with some things- so, I'm not going to say their home goods (clothing, decor, etc) is a great pick, but for general supplies & food- totally worth it! If you compare prices, you'll be shocked. I'll shop here again. I just hope the quality of the actual establishment & employees could improve a bit. It's still worth it, for the savings, in my opinion. I walked out spending $65 on over 25+ products (approximately 10 bags full), which would have cost me roughly $125+ at another retailer. I call that winning! Update: I've been back on the regular, and it just keeps getting worse. Not sure if they can't seem to keep employees, but there is 0 help. Expect to wait 20+ minutes in a line 10+ deep to check out during rush hour, the busiest time of day. ONE employee at the register with crap piled, blocking the other 3 registers. No one on the floor will come assist to speed it up. In fact, no one on the floor will even MOVE as they're stocking shelves or at least help you reach an item! Seriously, the help & speed here is worthless. It isn't worth saving money when it costs much more time & hassle. Avoid at all costs if it's between 3-7pm. And don't ask for help of any sort. There were no carts available. I sat there struggling with my arms full for 20+ minutes waiting to check out & not a single employee offered to help. Walked right on by & left the one lady at the register swamped. Management here is seriously lacking. read more

I have been a regular customer since this place opened however, in the past few months I could not help but notice how extremely rude the manager (Robert) is to his employees! Even to the point of using cuss words! IT is a HUGE turnoff and clearly a case of workplace abuse and should not be tolerated!! How is this person getting away with this??! And - it doesn't just end with the employees but carries over to customers as well. I hear him answer quite curtly to customer inquiries and have experienced this myself when I have a question about something. This guys GOTTA GOOOOO NOW!!!! read more

Jules and the "manager" Sabrina at this location are blatant liars I was told I could bring back a battery and get the correct size if it's not the correct size as long as I hang onto my receipt and I pull in today bring my receipt and the batteries and get told that no I can't do a replacement which is what I was told in the first place because of the new manager. So I wasted 6 dollars and a trip to this dollar store in the heat. To be honest I will return in April a week to speak with the original manager. I got Kicked out, wrongfully at this store! The manager, didn't ask what the problem was she just butted in. I saw a carton of cigarettes, behind the counter, behind a tag that said $3+.I asked the cashier if the price is right? She never checked, just rung them up, in good faith, I thought they could be priced at that. The mashine NEVER showed my total, it went straight to my pin. I put it in, and looked at the receipt. It said the pack was $7+. (In my mind I could get them cheaper at 7-11.) I never even touched the pack ( they were in the cashier's hand the whole time). When the manager snapped in, she said " sir, if the mashine doesn't show you the total, IT'S NOT OUR PROBLEM! I asked about the cigarettes that where in the same spot, showing the wrong price. I said will you refund my cigarettes, I never touched them (I never left my spot in the store) the manager said very RUDELY, We never do a return on cigarettes, ( she said it three annoying times). She told be I wasn't welcome there in "her" store anymore. I have been going there since the store was built! I am an ordained Minister, for heaven's sake! (I am a customer service expert above all else.) I checked with the manager at 7-11, she said "the mashines are required to show the total, and as long as a customer doesn't leave the store, a refund can and should be given. This is a very poorly skilled manager. He customer service is well below any standards for any business wanting to make money. I have never been treated so terrible. I expect an apology and an unbanning. If not, I just flood social media, like this, of how THIS DOLLAR STORE STEALS MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS, AND NO ONE WANTS TO BE TREATED WITH THIS MANAGERS POOR SKILLS. I'd check the books, she'll lie about the encounter, I would have fired her on the spot. Keep her on, and chase ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS AWAY! JUST IGNORE THIS COMPLAINT! TRY IT! Fast and easy to get something small like milk or dish soap just for a little bit more money then a big storefront live wal mart

This place is finally open! I decided to see what is all about so i stopped by to browse. I was greeted by friendly sales associates. The place is clean and the prices are what you would expect from a discount store. The attraction? It's in the neighborhood! They're open 7 days a week, but close at 9pm so if you need something in an emergency after hours, go to the superstore four miles away, and deal with the crowds and poor customer service. Extremely unhappy with Family Dollar. I purchased an "electronic" item that does not work, does not read blood pressure correctly. I want to return and was told I can only exchange it for another one. Why would I want another one of a faulty product? This is the worst place to shop. Employees talk to each other but never offer you help. They say the family dollar app isn't part of their store. They don't know how to return items if you use the app so forced to purchase them anyways. Prices ring up wrong can't use app on sale items. I purchased items and after getting home found the boxes empty. Robert basically accused me of stealing or lying in front of a lot of people waiting in line. I have never stolen a thing . I have never been so embarrassed in all my life or treated so poorly. The lines are long. Employees are rude. They refuse to do carry out and you can't take carts outside. I was spending $50-$100 every 2 weeks but no more. I started ordering my pet food from chewy. Com and cheater than family dollar plus delivered to my home. I was planning on shopping after I thought would be an easy experience of replacing my empty boxes but after Robert humiliated me and refused to replace or refund my items I spent that money at Walmart and the rest I ordered on line. I will never step foot in that store again or spend a penny in there. Also Robert said I could speak to his boss the next day I told him I had to work but he said that was his only solution.
