I believe this Dollar tree can do much better. It's such an a populated area that I would hope management has enough support to support a store that the community benefits off of coming in here multiple times it just is giving me the same empty sloppy vibes which is unacceptable. I have a bit of a story to explain why I ended up at this Dollar Tree. I was on my way to the gym. And I saw a homeless man with a little dog. The dog was super skinny. And I felt so bad for the little guy. He was giving kisses to the homeless man, and I could tell he gave the man lots of love. I hit the gym and planned to go to the Dollar Tree right after to grab some food for the dog. And I figured, if they were still there on that corner, then I could give the bag to the man. Thankfully, they were still there after I left the gym and hit the Dollar Tree. I was happy to hand the bag of dog food and treats to the man for the dog. I hope that will help the little doggo for a bit anyway. He was so skinny and looked hungry. :( The Dollar Tree had a good selection of things for dogs. A few different dog food options and lots of different treats. I grabbed a couple bags of dog food and some snacks for him. It worked out perfectly. This store was somewhat organized. Some shelves were empty and missing things, or things were misplaced. I am guessing people picked things up and put them down somewhere else. That is what it looked like. But I was able to find what I needed for the homeless dog. Mission accomplished! read more

What an unnerving encounter. I didn't see anyone's faces in this experience so I don't know who said what. A customer was checking out and his small child was talking and being silly. Cashier asks for the child's name, etc. asks dad "Is she a good girl?" Dad asks him to repeat himself, clearly taken aback. Cashier repeats his question, dad gives a short answer and asks if he has children of his own. Cashier says no. They leave. Cashier and another employee start talking. One employee says, "You have to be careful taking a cute girl like that outside. She's going to end up in a van." Other employee laughs and says "Nah, nah man you can't say stuff like that." "I'm just saying man on some real s***." "Nah that's all you man," and he laughs. A minute or so passes and one goes to take their break. I left the store, incredibly uncomfortable. I hope this behavior is not tolerated here, or this location is unsafe for children. This was on March 3, before noon. read more

While shopping for Fourth of July items at the Fullerton Dollar Tree at 9am, I overheard an African American employee, who i later found to be tge manager, tell a customer that she doesn't celebrate the 4th of July and that it's not her holiday and that she celebrates Juneteenth. Personally, I find this reprehensible that she's standing on American soil where my brother, father, grandfather and uncles fought to insure her very freedom of speech that she uses to basically trash our country. Sorry but as a person with diabetes, bathrooms are a must... I understand that you don't want to clean after each customer but that is part of doing your job... If you can't go the distance then close your store completely don't tell customers to go to the coffee shop next door because you don't want to clean your bathrooms... And then ignoring the fact your were informed it's open the bathroom or it's gonna hit the floor... You choose to ignore that... I peed because I could not make it... And when your staff was informed you choose to ignore that too and did not bother to clean that up... And another customer walk through it... Yes I admit I peed my pants, I do not have a need for depends, as usually I'm able to hold it... But there are times when the need is great and to tell a customer that informs you its coming now so bathroom or floor is beyond idiotic, and then to not clean up the accident afterwards when informed is just plain careless... So you can see many people buying party hats, paper plates, cups etc- The canned food are also a great deal. They are smaller but the price is awesome. Sodas can also be a deal time to time. Love this place, where do I start, if you are wealthy, you may still like this place. It was clean, most of the aisles were very organized when I went. I was able to see a large selection of low prices grocery, bath and misc items along with kids books and party items. The parking was not to bad and the cashier was quick and freindly, they take credit cards too. Budget tip: you can get soy sauce for a dollar, cookies, canned goods, mac n cheese, many other items (no fruit & veggies) except for canned items. They had many books and school supplies in the children's areas and with toys and stickers, very good prices, of course. they had an aisle with cell phone, car acessories and hardware, they had another aisle with soap, shampoo and other incedentals for great pricing too. Sometimes you can get a 3 or 4pack for one dollar. They have an aisle with gift cards and misc items. I like thier party supply area, lots of toys, cool plates and american hats like Appolo Creed hat, except plastic. This place does not look fancy smancy, but there is a whole lot of value, a nice place during and after the recession. read more

The only time I really come to the $.99 or Dollar Tree store is when I am planning a party or need a lot of supplies. Every time I leave this place I always tell myself why do I keep forgetting to come here!? This place is awesome when you are trying to save some money. You can actually come in here and find some pretty good deals on items that you are probably over paying for at other places. What I like about this store is that it is fully stocked all the time and they have so many good items. They have so many party supplies that look of nice quality. You could probably plan your whole party here, if they have your theme. I had come here to buy items for a bridal shower I was planning. I got the vases I needed, zebra duct tape which had a lot on the roll and was perfect quality. They have tons of back to school supplies and lots of snack options too. The food is like a hit or miss, I probably wouldn't buy the food because I know they get the close to expiring dates. I would rather shop else where for the fresher taste. When I come to a dollar tree I'm usually on a mission with something specific that I feel I can save a buck or two on. They have tons of party items, school stuff, small household gadgets, crafts, decor, and the list goes on. Once I come I definitely walk the whole place to see what bargains I can get. This specific one is not as nice as others. Sometimes I notice it seems cluttered. Also, recently every time I've come there is someone sitting right outside the entrance asking for money. I like Dollar Trees in general. This one's a little on the small side and at times can be cluttered. The location is great though... mostly because I like to swing by Michaels and Dollar Tree in one outing. I'd come here the other night in search of isopropyl alcohol. Unfortunately, they'd only stocked 50%... that's not strong enough to take off permanent marker off of pumpkins. :( For whatever reason, 91% and 92% aren't as plentiful as it used to be? I needed party favors/supplies and after reading about Michaels Arts and Craft store on yelp from another reviewer I decided to give Dollar Tree a chance. My first impression is the store seems like a 99c store. They carry pretty much everything from household items, baby supplies, seasoning items, greeting cards, cleaning supplies etc. Their party favors/supplies section is pretty good. Plenty to choose from and let's not forget that they're all $1. I was happy to find everything. The quality is comparable to Party City but for a much cheaper price. Customer service is good too. They were courteous, friendly, and went out of their way to help me. Sorry I was expecting the worst from a discount store but what a pleasant surprise. The only negative point is the customers. This is your typical dollar store that sells everything for a buck. I love the prices and dollar tree often has really cute or useful items so I shop there often. This particular location is a little more run down then some of the others and they never have enough people working so you stand in line forever waiting to be checked out. Went to purchase greeting cards. At checkout, the person in front of me had an exchange. Due to the customer's language barrier, the cashier misunderstood what items were being returned. When the cashier realized the returns/exchange were swapped, the cashier said " Son of a bitch" under her breath. After explaining such behavior as unacceptable, she proceeded to aggressively respond to me and stated " you have said everything you needed to say!" One of the employee was watching me until I left the store.  While he was watching me two other  customers was stealing on the other lanes.  Since I was the only African American in the store he  judged me.  I could have judged him for looking like he just got out of back of a pickup truck. read more

Absolutely hate coming to this Dollar Tree but it's just so convenient. Why are the cashiers so chatty and overly informative? There is such a thing as customer service overboard and one cashier here does just that! The other one I wrote about in my previous review just took his time ringing people up. A few words as you conduct the transaction is appropriate, but a full blown conversation with customers IS NOT! Let's keep the line moving along, fast and efficiently with a smile. And save employee transactions until there are no customers around. Again, this Dollar Tree needs to implement better work place practices. Possibly the nastiest Dollar Tree I've ever been to. THERE ARE NO SHOPPING CARTS!!! The male employees all look like vagrants, dirty work shirts, dirty fingernails, one employee rang customers up while eating a frozen pizza and chugging Shasta soda. Another was running around the store with a push room practically mowing customers down and aggressive when they were in his way. Of course he was not paying attention to what he was actually supposed to be doing--- cleaning. My boyfriend watched as he opened the cash register to steal quarters. The store is pretty disorganized, no one helped me find anything. But what do you expect when you buy stuff for $1? Dirty store no air on only two cashier open line is al the way to aisle 5 I feel like I am at a dump

This place always has a heavy air feeling when you walk in. Sometimes it's actually just plain hot and stuffy because they don't seem to have A/C. I can't even recall a day where an employee was friendly and a couple times I couldn't get what I needed because they had entire aisles blocked off for remodeling? The lines are always 10 people line before another cashier shows up. I really wish this place were a little more inviting because I usually love going to Dollar Tree because the selection is pretty good. This location is on the smaller side, so maybe sales aren't good enough, but if they were to get happier employees, I'm sure it would help their retention and would encourage people to buy more. I know you get what you pay for, but sometimes you leave there wondering how you spent so much! Seasonal stuff is cool and I like having cheaper options, but be careful of the quality.
