I love this store for seasonal items and gift bags. They have a great assortment of both which they change often. I am a little skeptical about the quality or lead content of the toys here and the couple I have bought broke easily. The cleaning products are marginal but you can find a good deal on Ajax and some name brands. They do have random food items and nick nacks, and I do admit I like to browse through the isles. This location is cleaner and more organized than others like it. Exceeds my standards and experiences with other dollar trees (Vallejo?!) hence the four stars but if you are looking for quality items you will be disappointed. read more

Ok so a Dollar Store is a Dollar Store. When you're only paying $1 for items you cannot expect stellar service and anybody that does is not living in reality. You've got to go in expecting to wait in line because that's the trade off for buying cheap. There is an awesome selection of cards & gift wrap as well as holiday items for each and every holiday. It is not the most organized store though that's for sure. If there is an item that you need in bulk you can order it on the dollar tree direct website and have it shipped for free to the store for pick up. This came in handy for me when I used some of their candle holders for my wedding. A jar is a jar and at $1 a piece the price was definitely right! Bottom line is....you can find some excellent bargains here but don't expect to here "3's a crowd can we get another checker up front" over the intercom when you approach the long line @ check out time. read more

Wow! I need to start shopping here more often! I came here to get birthday supplies for my brother's birthday and walked out with plates, napkins, balloons, candles, some water toys, and 2 "Happy Birthday" mylar balloons for just under $15! The only downside I can think of is that they can't inflate regular latex balloons, so I had to go elsewhere (and pay more) for that. Store was very clean, organized, and well stocked. So why the 2 stars? Maybe because 3 out of the 4 employees "working" while I was there were having too good of a time in the back. Either they thought no one could hear them or they really didn't care, but it was very loud and unprofessional. I'm all for having a good time at work but this was ridiculous. They were joking around about killing time and cussing rather loudly. These were not young kids. You can tell they were grown adults. Very inappropriate. The one girl who actually was working at the check out even looked uncomfortable because everyone could hear what was going on. I can tell she was pretending not to hear anything. I had been hearing about "the dollar store" for quite a while, so, finally paid a visit today. I'm not sure what I expected, but, even taking into consideration that you get what you pay for, I didn't expect what I experienced. The store was a mess, the floors were dirty, kids were running around like wild animals, and what is with those stupid metal poles attached to the carts? And, that poor single checker. There were about 15 people in line - with ONE checkout clerk!! After we had waited awhile, the checker said another checker would be out in a few minutes, but, at least 5 minutes went by after she said that, and that one checker was still the only one checking customers out when we left. I'm sure she takes all kinds of flak for the long lines, (like she has any power to change that) and they're probably paying her about 9.00 an hour to deal with that madness every day. Lord only knows what the store is going to be like when holiday shopping kicks in. This was our first and LAST visit. The next time we shop at Target, or even Walmart, it will feel like we're walking into Nordstrom's compared to our Dollar Tree experience. What a zoo! read more

We frequently shop at this dollar tree. The cashiers are always very friendly and very sweet. My only problem with this store is the lines. If you don't go there at 8 o'clock in the morning you'll be stuck in a line that takes a long time to get through. I don't think it's the cashiers I just think that the second cashier doesn't open up until there's at least 15 people in line in the first line. Also the checkout process can be a little slow and daunting. If you're going to go shop here, which we do all the time just be sure to go very early in the morning or later in the evening or else you can guarantee you're going to be stuck in a long line. The merchandise of the store is usually always stocked very nicely and I've been in a few dollars trees and this one is by far the cleanest I've been in. I wish there were more in the East Bay. When I hear people talking in line, people travel from Danville and Alamo to come to this Dublin store. I know they would have more business and probably shorter lines if they opened up more stores in this area read more

Today I found Minute Maid Cherry Soft Frozen Limeade, Doritos's, Smart Food Popcorn and Lunchables...all Name Brand products...If you look, you will find good stuff, but hey it is the dollar store how can you be picky? There a lot of crap here. You definately know where you are when you walk into dollartree. The floors and aisles are a little messy and there is no staff to be seen. They do not have a huge selection, but they do have your dollar store staples. Rubber bands, pads of paper, party supplies and food. I kindly asked an employee (slim Asian with a long pony tail hair) about how they handle the returns and she was very short and rudely said that they only give store credit! Because I was on my lunch I couldn't search for items that I wanted swap. And the cashier rudely informed me that they give an even exchange only. I said okay and requested that she put the merchandise credit in a gift card and she said "no! can you move your items to the next cashier until you are ready to do the exchange." At that point I was completely over the return and just walked out. Needless to say that i will not be shopping at this location again. AND YOUR RETURN POLICY SUCKS!!!! read more

I always smile when I walk into this store. Everything for a buck? Really? It's easy math, I load up the cart and I know how much it's going to cost. Gift bags, plastic plates, cups, etc all great stuff for a party! I'm a little spooked to try the food, maybe someday I'll come around. Other than that, I'm definately a fan! read more

This store is almost always crowded in the evenings with only two registers open.

Good location, plenty of parking. If you're buying lots of stuff, look for a cart that does NOT have the long tall poles that prevents the cart from leaving the store. Some shopping carts are missing these poles, so you don't have to lug everything you bought from the store to your car. My favorites here are the MinuteMaid frozen lemonade cups, the same ones they sell at the ballparks for $4. Can't beat two liter soda bottles for $1. Usually this place looks like a hurricane just hit it, stuff all over the floor in the aisles. It seems they have slimmed down their selection of candy, not offering as much as they used to. Can't complain, everything is still $1. They usually only have two registers open, so there can be long lines to check-out. I would think twice about buying the kids the candy treats from Mexico or China. Stick to well-known brands and you will be ok. read more

I used my debit card and their was a technical glitch and the cashier immediately yells your card was declined. I showed her my mobile banking notification that the funds were immediately pulled from my account. She called the store manager who comes with an attitude. Okay so it's a dollar store, so I don't excpect much. But this dollar tree has a fraction if the stuff that others do, Which us the bigest disappointment. And everytime I go there will be one line open. On sum occasions, they grace us with two . one time I went they didn't have receipt paper in the other lines, sothe had a huge line that went to the back of the store. Unfortunatly I realy needed what I wanted to get andi had to stand in that line for almost 2 hours. This store was great and the staff is friendly. I came here for baby shower decorative balloons, you cant beat the price at a buck a piece, filled with helium. They have different items for a party, lots of different decorations for holidays and life events. It's well organized and clean, parking is never a hassle. When I am in Dublin I will be sure to pass by this store. I would recommend going here before you go to Party City etc. read more

Been here a couple times. Each time, I've been [not] greeted with not so stellar customer service. Last week I got several mugs, and they were difficult to carry at times. I was offered no paper to wrap them (it sits at the register) and no bag to carry them to my car. I had to ask. I'm back again for more mugs (doing a little art project for wedding favors) and there is one person out in the store, and she's at the register dealing with the LONG line (it doesn't help that she's moving fairly slow...) I had a horrible experience in this store. The store manager/owner had terrible attitude and tried to play a trick on me. They also kept my receipt. They put the wrong price in front of the product. It said 2 for $1. So, I bought them. However, the store charged me more. I caught their mistake just after I paid. However, the store manager said, "We increased the price" and refused returning the items. She treated me like a fool and said, "No return! It says so on the back of the receipt!" So, I argued that it was store's mistake to put wrong price. But according to her, there was nothing she could do to reverse the transaction because I used my credit card to pay. She started ignoring me and took care of other customers. I kept telling her that I wanted return. She made me to wait a long time, and finally, she gave me my money back with very rough attitude. However, she kept my receipt and didn't give me back. Is it legally OK to do? read more

I was on the hunt for specific wine glasses that my daughter has her heart set on for her wedding. We tried to purchase online, but the website said currently unavailable. We decided to go to as many Dollar Tree stores as we needed to, to find the wine glasses. I went to my local Dollar Tree in Sonora, CA and found four glasses. I thought our search was going to be extensive. My husband and I went on a business trip to the Bay Area yesterday and stopped in your Dublin store. I went to the glassware section and saw many of the wine glasses we needed. I found an associate stocking and she directed me to the manager at register 2. The manager, Bob was at the register with a customer. I waited my turn and inquired about the glasses. He went to the back to collect some boxes and paper. He carefully packed and counted 86 glasses, while I handed them to him. I told him that I had a long drive and was worried about breakage. He said that he had packed glasses this way before and would put extra paper to secure the glasses. I also purchased 18 stemless glasses to use as candle holders. We finished packing, he walked me up to the register and rang up the purchase, then walked me to my vehicle. We did this in a very short amount of time. I arrived home and unpacked the glasses. They all arrived in perfect condition. I want to thank Bob for his excellent customer service. He is a great asset to Dollar Tree. The store was very clean and well organized also. Only 80 more wine glasses to go! read more

The store is kinda messy, but they have everything for or under $1. They are understaffed at this particular location, but the employees are friendly. They sell everything here from school supplies to food to bath products to cooking utensils. It's worth a trip- you're bound to come out with something! read more

I love the dollar tree/dollar general chains but this store as large as it is never has what I want except for birthday cards and balloons. They also sell other items such as seasonal decorations, school stationary, cheap batteries, fake flowers, puzzle books and expired/damaged food. Please be careful if you buy food that it's not expired, damaged, recalled or open. Brand name food or frozen products can sometimes end up at the dollar tree if there is a label misprint or the shape is off. Compared to other dollar trees they do try to clean and stock certain items but they do not have as large of a variety as some of the older and larger locations. I also am always guaranteed a 20-30 minutes line when I checkout which is why I'm knocking off a star. The second star is for staff that really doesn't care. I don't care how fast your staff rotates, the ones who did show up to work should try to at least attempt to do their job. Last visit I was near the fake floral section and heard the manager giving a lecture to an employee. If your office doesn't have a seperate ceiling and you decide to talk down to your employees, make sure no one can hear you. read more

They have many items in small containers so they can get away with under a dollar. I bought a box of band aids and when I went to use them the paper wrapping was brown from age and just fell apart. I don't know how long it takes to get to that stage but made me wonder about quality control read more
