Party supplies Memorial/ Independence day and luau for summer!

I love the dollar tree. I cant walk in without spending $20 which isnt much but it is almost 20 items. I always check out their pet section. They carry these natural dental chews & treats for dogs and real pork bones. I also love their party supply section. Definitely stop in here before heading to party city. They have supplies for most major holidays as well as seasonal themes like Luau for summer.

Picked up a bunch of school supplies here for the Yelp donation event and found the store to be neatly laid out, organized and just about exactly the same as every other Dollar Tree I've been to. I do like Dollar Tree. This is the chain where everything really is a dollar (though some things are 50 cents).

    Review Highlights - Dollar Tree

I'm having a Valentine's Day event and there was so much decor and items I could use for it and not spending as much as I would at party city.

I used to work at a full line Nordstrom years ago, so I know quality when I see it. That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long. Overall, this location was consistent with the other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. No surprises, just the usual dependable Rack experience. I'd definitely return.

The store was very well stocked and clean. You didn't see much on the ground from items knocked down. The items I found were priced very well. No complaints. There was so much variety here that you could spend a lot of time in this store. Upon checking out, I was greeted by a young lady. She asked me about opening a store credit card and I told her no thank you. Her demeanor changed, lol! I mean I'm sorry that I don't shop here often enough but also store credit cards are too limiting! But anywho...nice experience here and I would return.

This review is for Costco Wholesale, and let me just say this upfront: never go to Costco hungry. I…read morerepeat -- do not do it. The samples are a trap, your cart will somehow fill itself, and what started as "I just need one thing" suddenly becomes a full-blown shopping adventure. I originally went in to pick up a prescription because yes, Costco has a pharmacy, and the prices are often way better than CVS or Walgreens. The hours can be a little quirky and they're closed Sundays, but honestly, the savings make it worth planning around. Plus, you don't even need to wander too far before getting distracted by literally everything else. My plan was simple: prescription, a carton of those gorgeous blue heirloom eggs, and out the door. These are the kind of eggs you'd easily pay eleven dollars or more for at Whole Foods or another specialty grocery store -- and that's usually for only six eggs. Costco had 18 of these beautiful blue free-range heritage eggs for under eight dollars. If you love to cook or bake, you already know the yolks on these are next level. And this is honestly one of the reasons I love Costco so much: if you find really high-end specialty items there, buy them, because the pricing is usually unbelievable compared to traditional grocery stores. Same thing with Kerrygold butter from Ireland -- premium quality, but the Costco pricing makes it actually attainable if you cook a lot. Then I spotted these beautiful lavender topiaries right before Mother's Day weekend and suddenly my "quick trip" turned into classic Costco behavior. That's the thing about Costco -- it's dangerous in the best possible way. As a single person, I still find my membership completely worth it. I stock up on all the boring but necessary nonperishables: detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, cleaning supplies, batteries, all the stuff that lasts forever. And if you cook, Costco is honestly fantastic. They carry really high-quality ingredients, specialty cheeses, great produce, and hidden gems if you know where to look. Check out a "few" of my favorites!! And let's talk about the customer service and return policy for a second because it's legendary for a reason. I've returned everything from cookware to a Shark vacuum to an old portable hammock years later, no box, no receipt, and they handled it without hassle because it was tied to my membership history. That level of customer service is hard to find anymore. Also, the gas station alone makes the membership worthwhile. Whenever I take a road trip, I map out Costco gas stations along the route because they're easy to access and usually significantly cheaper. So yes, buyer beware -- you will probably leave spending more than intended. But between the pharmacy savings, gas, bulk staples, high-end grocery finds, and excellent return policy, Costco has absolutely earned its cult following. Charlotte, if you haven't experienced the chaos and joy that is Costco yet, grab a friend, split a membership, eat before you go, and enjoy the ride.

So here's my review of the Costco Warehouse from Jul 11, 2021.] Fifteen years since I let me Sam's Club membership lapse and I've not rejoined a wholesale club since. But now that we're making our own dog food for our girls, it's time for bulk buying meats and veggies so we're checking out Costco. Yep, they have everything and they have it in massive quantities. Not just food, mind you. Appliances, shoes, tshirts and underwear, computers, televisions, vision and optical, a full-service pharmacy and even a discounted gas station out front. If you're looking for a mecca to capitalism, world trade and just-in-time marketing, this is the spot. The process to sign up took entirely too long because the young lady wanted to talk and we just wanted to shop. But then we had our card and our shopping cart and we're filling it up with a bunch of stuff that we needed, we just didn't know that we needed. Keto pizzas, fresh grapes (not for the dogs!), a massive bag of spinach (yes, this is for the dogs), several bags of frozen veggies and more. Not everything was cheaper than Amazon or ALDI, but lots of things definitely are. You will want to be careful, don't shop hungry, and be aware that just because they sell it, that doesn't mean that it's the cheapest way to get it. We walked out with $330 worth of stuff. About what I expected. Costco gasoline is about 30 cents cheaper than the cheapest station in Charlotte. Now that South Carolina has raised their gas prices and it's no longer worth detouring past Carowinds for a tank of gas, I suspect I'll be back here just for gas. The way the looked at me and treated me was very rude. Like I stole these items and was trying to return them for money. The security lady even had the nerve to say, "why don't you return them to where you got your bag from?" I grabbed a random Old Navy bag I had at the house that would fit all the toys; doesn't mean I'm trying to cheat someone. Even so, it would end up being a store credit so I'll still be spending money to get what my son actually will play with or use. I didn't see anything over $40, so it tells you a lot of the big ticket items are not here. And I'm ok with that because it appeared less cluttered. I visited on a early Friday afternoon. This location recently opened. I was surprised to see items already on Reduced/Clearance. And I got them! I came looking for items I needed for a new project. And I wasn't disappointed. Only downside is that it appeared not to have name brand clothing or perfume like Ross. I could be wrong but that's what I noticed. I did see some name brand shoes. There was a security guard in the store just like I've seen at other Ross stores. I overheard the cashier saying they are hiring on the spot. I will most definitely return because the closest Ross to my home is 9.5 miles away. This store is less than 6 miles away from my home.

When you enter, you walk right in the showroom on the ground floor and then take the stairs or elevator to the 3rd floor. The stairwell is gorgeous and makes for a great photo op. However, they have a no flash rule and you can't sit on the furniture in the showroom. The first time we went, although we had a reservation for 7:30pm, they didn't sit us until 7:50pm because our table wasn't ready. We exercised patience throughout the ordeal and they weren't really apologetic which was off-putting. We did have a good time and I got the lobster roll but the service was sub-par. This time around, the service was phenomenal. Our waitress was patient, attentive and pretty funny. She engaged with us the whole time and didn't mess up any orders. I only got a salad, which I liked, and our whole table enjoyed their meal. Safe to say this second experience was the better of the two across the board.
