This dollar tree is terrible. The workers make you feel like you are hostile. A worker, a black woman, I dont know her name, she tracked me down to where I was looking at the paper stuff for school, to rudely tell me I couldn't have MY own purse with me. Told me I could leave it at the front counter or in my car? She stood there with such vile attitude, then proceeded to enter the aisle. I was in shock, and put down my stuff and left with my mom. She then proceeded to enter the aisle while I was leaving it, to pretend to organize it, when in reality that dollar tree looked like a tornado went through it. I've seen this happen to one other woman before, at the time it gave the impression that the woman was stealing, now I know better, she was minding her business! Ironically I had a purse of my own at that time that I saw that encounter with the other customer. They don't do their jobs, they just antagonize customers and give absolutely no customer service. This store has been great to visit! It's closer to my home and tends to be stocked pretty well. I don't get foods from here but I do purchase things for around the house. Cleaning supplies, some dinnerware and their seasonal items tend to be pretty nice. The current store manager is pretty cool. The workers are also pretty nice. read more

My caregiver and I were verbally assaulted, demeaned, and yelled at by the Manager at this Dollar Tree, #1209. I asked to speak with her confidentially. I am disabled and had my caregiver with me. The issue was over a price dispute from the previous day and how this store and it's employees and management does not recognize the California Law, SB 478 Honest Pricing. She began to yell at us in front of customers and accuse us of calling her a liar. We never raised our voices or called her any names. She stated that if we are saying that the price label was changed overnight, when she is positive that it was not changed, then we are calling her a liar. The store was crowded and customers looked on. I was shaking and dropped my keys. I tried to leave the store fast but my walker was stuck on something. IMO, this store manager is totally unhinged, out of control and dangerous. She followed behind us and tried to close the door on my caregivers foot. I was afraid she would hit us. Love this dollar tree!! I came in during my lunch break last week and was delighted. My main goal was to find some Halloween decor for my home and that's exactly what I left with. They had several aisles of decorations with plenty of options. They also had some thanksgiving & Christmas decor out & I can't wait to go back during those holidays to shop! The store is the most clean and organized dollar tree I've ever been to. They've got everything every other dollar tree has, but with a much better experience. To make a long story short a store clerk at this Dollar Tree gave me a old looking $5 bill in change. I had taken it to my bank to have the bill retired. The bank told me it was fake and filled out a report and they kept the bill. I took a copy of the report over to this Dollar Tree and attempted to show it to the Manager. She was very rude and accused me of being dishonest. I told her I want to file a claim to get a good $5. She said "I'll just give you the $5" but acted like I was a bad guy. Worst dollar store to go! There was an older black lady who had nothing but attitude. There was two cashiers but had one long line. When I asked why have one line if there's two cashiers she got an attitude with me. And then was mad over my daughter backpack. We were already done and was ready to paid. I asked her where there's a sign and she couldn't tell me. As we walked in she seen the backpack and didn't say anything to my 6 year old daughter till I questioned her. There was another person who had a backpack and she didn't say anything to that person. The manger just sat on his phone. You can't tell one person and not another. And if this was a policy they need to have a sign up so everyone can see it. Don't say anything at the end. They need to retrain their employees. Her calling me out my name was uncalled for. Such rude service. I was asked to wait while they rung up the customers behind me in line when I went in to get balloons, which is fine. While standing off to the side an employee abruptly asks me "what do you need?" I said I was waiting for balloons and she said "we don't have any helium, didn't you see the sign?" Obviously I hadn't because I wouldn't have been standing there waiting and the employee that asked me to wait was unaware as well. I looked for the sign to see how I had missed it and when I didn't see it, I asked where it was. She pointed out an itty bitty sign you have to walk right up to read. I asked if having not seen that tiny sign was the reason she was being so rude hoping she might realize how nasty she was being but her response was "yes!". On my way out I hear other employees asking "oh, so we don't have helium?". It clearly wasn't well known and yet I was treated like I was the idiot for not knowing. Went into the store today as I normally make a trip on weekly basis since I live around the corner and to my surprise one of the workers "Carmen" to be exact had the nerve to tell my children while they were checking out the toys not to touch or play with anything unless they are to buy it! I asked the lady at the register for her name as well as the managers name because I will be going in FIRST THING MONDAY MORNING IN PERSON to make a complaint directly to the manager! This is absolutely gross that this woman thought it was ok to try and bully kids. My son is old enough to know how to respect his surroundings. I never knew it was a problem to touch anything in the store unless you are going to buy it? She should worry about the grown adults who do that daily and tell them that to their face and not just children that she thinks she can bully while their parents are shopping in the next isle over!!! I so *heart* this store. Honestly, I'd buy just about anything for a dollar but let's NOT go there ;) This store is always filled with food items to housewares and just about anything else you could need and all for a dollar. I like it better than the .99 cent only store because of funny things like the smaller size of the store, the carpeting and that everyone that works there speaks English. This Dollar Tree is next to a Bel Air and an Ace Hardware so it's a shopping center I visit frequently. Why pay more than a dollar for something if you don't have too? read more

Yesterday 8/15 I was shopping with my elderly mother and the store was nice almost fully stocked but the cashier named Kendel was so rude and a bully really. We put the stuff on the counter and she was talking on the phone! My mom thought she was talking to her so I said no mom she on the phone Kendel response was yes I said wow that's rude. She got defensive and said she had a family matter I responded I been a cashier at target before in customer service we're not allowed to talk on the phone while working she shook her head and said with attitude this isn't target she said the lady behind you is on her phone she said is she rude I said nope she's not working! She kept making rude comments my mom asked her nicely to just continue ringing her up so we could leave Kendel still ran her mouth! Throwing the bags at me etc! So i like to bring my kids in here occasionally for $1 junk toys. Its exciting for them to shop for a new toy but it usually lasts about 2 hours before it breaks. Last time my guys bought yo-yos and they hung on for a couple days. They have food stuff, cosmetics, cards, wrapping paper, gift bags, housewares, and general merchandise. I have been back in a couple times for moving boxes since walmart wont give them out anymore. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful and they seem happy to have a job. The place is a bit dirty just like most dollar type stores. Unfortunately they have no bathroom which is a real bummer with small children. Those two reasons are why I'm giving 3*. read more

Not only can I buy cheap ass gifts for the family members that I don't really care for, and can't seem to shake the obligation of getting them a gift, I found the holy grail of all dollar store finds today....dollar store Shiraz. No shit they have Australian, made in America, Shiraz. Believe it or not, it isn't bad, it is at least on par with 2 buck Chuck, but it's half the price.
