What to say. Hard to say you can get "over charged" at a dollar tree but I guess you can. If the sign says $1.25 and all the items hanging of the same item Show $1.25 and then you show the employee and she just says ok refund I get manager. Then she just walks off and out to go on her break... that's awesome customer service. We tried this one which is much further from our house because it just looked huge. Has a lot more different items then the smaller one we go to but this was an experience. The usual one we go to has interesting staff but at least they fake liking their jobs

It's just like the old 99 cents store before it became a dollar tree but no more groceries like vegetables/fruits and they got the classic Dollar Tree thing here now... balloons!!! Still like the variety of items they got whenever I need certain things such as party favors, candies, soft drinks, snacks, craft supplies, kids stuff, toys, and seasonal decorations without breaking the bank. :) Staff is very friendly and quick when I was checking out. Also, it would have been nice if they took advantage while the store was empty to redo the old floors but oh well. Personally it doesn't matter to me if the store looks old, just really happy we got back a value store near me again to shop at. Really can't expect that much from a dollar store.

If you are a fan of the Huntington Collection in Pasadena, you'll be sure to love the Bargain Box. Just like the Huntington Collection, I can't call it a thrift shop since it's not like any thrift shops I've been to! Looks more like an expensive antique shop when you step inside. I was blown away by the quality of the available merchandise, especially the housewares and decor. It's very evident that all of the pieces on sale were meticulously cleaned and staged by the hardworking staff. All of the furniture and housewares are excellent condition, not to mention very well priced. Make a point to visit before Halloween! The store is all decked out with Halloween decor! The Bargain Box is managed by the Assistance League of Arcadia, and one of their worthy endeavors is Operation School Bell, which provides much needed clothing as well as school supplies such as backpacks and books to children in need in neighboring local schools. There's a small parking lot but there should be plenty of street parking available if needed. Also, be aware that the store has limited hours since it's managed by volunteers. It's only open two days a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 10am to 1pm.

Clothing, jewelry, books...they carry a little bit of everything here. I enjoy browsing the racks and shelves even when I leave empty handed. Good to know: They are only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I suggest subscribing to their email list so you know the weekly happenings before you visit. The lot is on the smaller side and it fills up pretty quickly. There is plenty of street parking on Live Oak, but that also fills up on Wednesdays. If you arrive a little before opening there is usually a short line outside to get in, but there is never a mad rush to get in or anything, so don't let the line scare you away!

The aisles were too crowded. I had a walker. My friend, in a wheelchair, had a difficult time managing. Something got caught on his wheelchair, and it wouldn't let go. Finally, my friend is a wounded veteran. That's why he uses a wheelchair. He rarely uses his benefits card. He had asked the day before the benefits worker about the parameter of card usage. The worker didn't explain that his card was only for FOOD. He had an exorbitant amount of credit, but it could only be used for food. At the check out, the white woman must have known the rule, because she bagged the food separately from the non-food. She shamed him for making a long line. Maybe had we been white-not me black and female and him Vietnamese and male-disabled or if I had had sex that time, then maybe she would have been respectful. I'm the daughter of a deceased veteran and my friend in the wheelchair, wounded from the war in Iraq. She should try harder. Oh, yes, she was the only one of the staff that was proficient in English. Had the business truly been accommodating, there would have been more space for wheelchairs and walkers. Also, a sitting area for elders and disabled would be there. Finally, common courtesy may go a long way.

I came here today after I got turned away from the dollar tree on Duarte rd by their rude manager sorco, saying I had to go back to the store I originally made the purchase from which I called bs. So I called this store on foothill spoke to Andrew who was so pleasant over the phone & he said he was happy to help me with my returns since I had my receipt & tags still on! I walked in & saw Andrew right away when checking out so thanked him for helping me out & his mannerism over the phone! He was easily able to accept my returns without any hesitation! Called the manager & she said she had no idea what that other manager was talking about "inventory", sounds like she was just lazy & didn't wanna take the time to do it. Anyways, I will forever come to this location cause they always have what I need, they go above & beyond for their customers, & the employees are super helpful here! You are greeted kindly. (: appreciate all the help guys!

From the moment I walked in, the customer service was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. It's refreshing to receive service from employees who truly care about their customers. If you're in the area and have a choice, I definitely recommend coming to the Foothill location. They turned what could have been another frustrating shopping trip into a great experience!

Unprofessional and hostile experience at entrance - July 25, 2026…read moreOn July 25, 2026 at approximately 3:34 PM, I visited The Outlet By E.L.S. for the first time with my kids. At the entrance, the security guard shouted at me in a loud, commanding voice asking, "What's in your bag?" I was carrying a regular-sized white tote bag with only my wallet and phone inside. I was startled and did not understand what I had done wrong upon entering, so I offered to leave the bag in my car. The guard then told me I could carry it in, but would have to show it again before leaving the store. His tone was hostile and created an embarrassing situation, as other customers in the store turned to look at us. I felt singled out and profiled as a potential shoplifter, possibly because I was wearing a hat. I was dressed casually in gray pants, a white shirt, and sneakers, which I felt was appropriate for shopping at a discount store. I regularly shop at large retailers like Costco and Sam's Club and have never been questioned about my bag upon entry. When my daughter and her friend spoke to him about the way we were treated, he responded that he was just doing his job and that is just how he is. He said he was sorry I was offended, but reiterated that he was just doing his job. I later spoke with a staff member who did apologize for what happened. I understand and respect the need for security, but there is a professional way to do it without making customers feel accused or unwelcome. A retail business should welcome customers while ensuring safety, not create a hostile shopping environment at the door. I am sharing this feedback so management is aware of how customers are being treated. Based on this experience, I will not be returning.

There is The…read moreSquare Plus retail store that is also within the food court area... the name is so fitting as the shopping center is called The Square LOL. Anyway, we looked over and saw dustpans. I've been wanting to buy a new dustpan because the old one was damaged when I had to use it to shovel snow a few weeks back when the high desert had a snowstorm. Yes, you read right... I used a dustpan to shovel snow (1st time shoveling snow + using a dustpan to do it) LOL... it wasn't too bad actually. One gray dustpan was $4.49 + tax... not too shabby and it's the sturdy type, too. I didn't check out any other items in the shop, but from what I can tell, they do have some nifty knick knacks, small appliances, general household stuff, etc. It doesn't have a lot of space for customers to walk around though... there are only 2 aisles really... the one closest to the entrance and the one on the other side of the wall LOL. I grabbed one dustpan, waited in line (wait wasn't too bad), and paid cash for it. The lady at the cashier was pleasant. She may have been the owner... not 100% sure though. If you happen to be hanging out at the food court, swing on by and see what fun stuff you can pick up from here. Happy Shopping!

Great for getting specific asian appliances that are difficult to find on Amazon or other big-chain appliance stores like Best Buy etc. They also sell a lot of little tiny tools, such as cookware etc. Feels kind of like Daiso. Overall, a pretty neat place to visit and check things out!
