What I mean is the Japanese pricing on the tag not fully exchanging over to the USD amount when you do the conversion. It should in theory be cheaper, but it's not. You can find all sorts of things here: stationary, plushies, snacks, trinkets, home decor, toys, to accessories (travel, pet, bag, cutesy female stuff). It's a really fun variety store to visit and browse. And even within each category, there were lots of options. Like the house slippers for instance, there were so many colors and designs. And for the kiddos, there were lots of seasonal plushies of varying sizes. Like bunnies for Easter, throw pillows, or squishy ones for hugging. This store is like a toy store for adults! Also if you're buying a lot of random trinkets and knick knacks, they do not provide bags. You can most certainly purchase one of their totes or bags. But my pro tip is to bring your own. Waste less plastic with all the gizmos you're buying. :) Because of the Japanese price on the tag doesn't fully exchange over exactly, I'm not giving Daiso the full 5 stars.

They have those Haribo gummy bears for a $1.00. There are two kinds of Haribo Gummy Bears. The ones made in Germany and the ones Made in Turkey. Wal-mart, CVS and other retailers sell the ones made in Turkey. Five Below and World Cost Market are the only two mass retailers that I've found that sells the Made in Germany Haribo. (The main difference in that the ones made in Germany taste better and don't have a slim to the feel.) Best of all they're $1.00. I think World Cost Market sells it for $1.79 (I'm not sure. I've forgotten) This location is near McGinnis Ferry Road and Medlock Bridge Road. It's in the same shopping strip as the Walgreens, Ihop and TJ Max. There is a Starbucks right around the corner. What I considered great deals before, become mediocre deals without that extra 25% off. Regular stock is priced less than retail, but more than what I see in TJs and Marshalls. There is also less of it. I bought a Nina Leonard polka dot dress for $25; their original price was $50 (but I suspect it never sold for that.) Dresses by the same manufacturer are at Kohl's for about what I paid. Deal or no deal?! I'll give Nordstrom Rack another look, but my expectations won't be high.

Lots of fun stuff, new items for almost every holiday, clean stores, easy to get in and out quick, everythings a buck! Unfortunately this store is my closest and the suckiest. (Not sure if suckiest is a word, let me spell check, hold on....okay it is not a word, anyway...) The store is messy, shelves and displays are empty, employees don't seem to be very excited about being there. Me either. (Or is that "niether", hold on let me check...)
