This isn't my favorite Ross, but the last few times I've stopped in, I did really well…read more Over the holidays I picked up nice candles and body lotion sets for my coworkers. The prices were so inexpensive, I was able to buy myself a bunch of holiday gifts too. I picked out a few things yesterday, but I didn't have the patience to wait in the long line. My fault, as it was the day before Easter and they were extremely busy. I'm going to stop by after work tomorrow and hopefully find the kitchen items I should have bought yesterday, and I liked a few other things, so I am excited about going back to finish what I started yesterday. This is a busy plaza but I've never had any issues finding parking. Located on the NW corner of Atlantic Ave and Military Trail, in the same plaza as Office Depot and McDonald's.

Ross Dress for Less has an interesting history--it started as a single store in California in 1950…read moreand has grown into a nationwide chain with over a thousand locations. These days, it's known for deeply discounted prices... and, often, a less-than-ideal shopping experience. Let's be honest: the prices are fantastic, but everything else can be hit or miss. Checkout lines are usually long, dressing rooms can be pretty rough, and the overall atmosphere sometimes makes you feel like you're being watched a little too closely. And yet, I keep coming back--because it's hard to argue with finding a cute dress for under $20 or knocking out half your gift list in one stop. That said, this particular Ross was a pleasant surprise. I stopped in looking for an affordable dress for a friend's wedding and ended up finding the perfect outfit--dress, accessories, and even shoes--without breaking the bank. Even better, the checkout process was smooth and painless, which is not always the case at other locations. Overall, this store felt cleaner, more organized, and just better managed than many Ross stores I've visited. If all Ross locations were like this one, I'd have a lot fewer complaints.

In 1983 she opened the first Paper Source in Chicago. In 2021 the Paper Source was sold to Barnes and Noble. Today there are over 120 Paper Source stores across the United States selling wrapping paper, home goods, gifts, party supplies, paper crafts, craft supplies, toys, announcements, planners, calendars, personalized stationary, pens, totes, greeting cards, books, and more. Fun fact, Megan, the Duchess of Sussex worked as a calligraphy instructor at the Beverly Hills Paper Source from 2004 to 2005. The Paper Source is located in Delray Place on the corner of Linton Blvd. and Federal Highway. This was my first visit and I was impressed with the inventory and how it was displayed by like items in the bright and cheery store. If you wanted to find a hostess gift for your foodie friend, it was very easy to find the right display that had cookbooks, dishes, and totes. I especially loved their Halloween collection with decorations, candles, toys, and stationary. Prices seemed on the more expensive side, a tea light for example was $16 but they have two tiers of Membership, one that is free and one for $39.99 that can give you an additional discount along with other benefits. They also have sales throughout the store like a buy one, get one half off on paper craft kits. By visiting the Paper Source website I learned that you can do $10 virtual classes with them, supplies not included. I feel like I have just scratched the surface of all that the Paper Source has to offer. The craft kids were some of my favorite items. I love anything that gets the kids off the electronics and using their hands and minds. Now that I have discovered Paper Source I will be back for that unique greeting card and one of a kind gift.

Walked in today (and pretty much every other time I've bothered going) and it's the same story: ZERO help anywhere in the store. Every single regular checkout lane is permanently closed, forcing you into the self-checkout gauntlet where half the scanners don't work properly anyway. Need help with an item that won't scan? Good luck--there is literally no one around who cares enough to assist. The employees (what few are actually on the floor) just cluster up front like they're on permanent break, staring at their phones or chatting, completely ignoring customers waving produce or asking basic questions. It's like they all collectively decided "this isn't my job" the second they clocked in. The shelves? A joke. Always, always out of the most basic organic items--organic chicken breasts, thighs, you name it. Half the time the cooler looks like it was raided days ago and never restocked. And don't get me started on the produce. They slap the "organic" label on it, charge a premium, and then give you limp, bruised, half-rotten fruits and vegetables that look like they were picked last month. I've thrown away more moldy berries, and slimy greens from this store than I care to count. For "farmers market" prices, you'd expect at least decent quality. Nope. Management? What management? I've never once seen a manager on the floor, addressing the chaos, restocking, or even pretending to care that customers are walking out empty-handed and furious. The whole operation feels abandoned. I'm done. There's a Whole Foods literally down the street that actually staffs the place, has cashiers when you need them, consistently stocks what they advertise, and sells produce that doesn't make you question your life choices. I'll happily pay a few extra dollars for competence and basic customer service. Avoid this Sprouts location like the plague. One star is generous--should be zero.
