I grew up going to the Dollar Tree and finding great stuff for a buck. I do understand that they had to raise some prices over the years, but lately they have been asking way too much and getting greedy. Sadly they started scamming and ripping people off. Please look at the price hidden under the sticker before buying and don't be afraid to walk at and start shopping somewhere else. I am disappointed in the Dollar Tree more and more every day. Pretty much a typical Dollar Tree. Store is a mess with multiple items out of stock. That being said, still a good place to find good, if not great values on some food items as well as some hard goods. Saw a sign in the store saying "grab it before it's gone", and I agree! Don't expect certain items to be stocked all the time or some even restocked at all! read more

The Dollar Tree is descended from Ben Franklin discount stores that first began operating 1953. From the Ben Franklin's the founders opened K&K 5&10 and K&K Toy Stores. In the mid 80's another discount chain was started called only $1.00. In the 90's it was decided that the company would only focus on the development of dollar stores and in 1993 the name was changed to Dollar Tree. The company now operates close to 15,000 stores in 48 states. The company also operates the Family Dollar chain. Whenever I need wrapping paper or gift bags, a Dollar Store is the first place I head. This time I was in need of gift wrap for a wedding shower gift. I usually can't find wedding themed wrap but they had exactly what I needed. I was also able to pick up the paper goods to bring to the party. Greetings cards are only 50 cents each. On this visit I noticed their pretty spring themed party goods. I also loved their fairy garden items. This is a great place to pick up your seasonal decorations, currently St. Patrick's Day and Easter. When items are only $1 each it's easy to fill up a basket. This location of the chain seemed well organized and clean. Even better it was well staffed making for a quick checkout. read more

This store looks good from the outside, but inside it's not clean looking and the shelves were not fully stocked. A lot of empty spaces where merch. should be. Watched a male employee go into the back room, I peeked in and there were empty boxes piled up, this was late afternoon in the week. This store needs to get its act together. read more

Whenever I'm near a Dollar Store I want to go in. I seldom leave without buying a few things. Most Dollar stores sell the same items, although I always seem to find something new. This particular Dollar Store was a little larger then some of the others. The shelves were well stocked and the place appeared to be clean. Some Dollar Trees have a refrigerated section, this one didn't. I really wasn't looking for anything in particular but I managed to find several things to buy. I left the store with three pairs of sox, an eyeglass case, a scarf, Spic and Span cleaner, and a small trash can. Great finds. read more

3 and a half stars for Dollar Tree aka save those dollars and get some things on the cheap. This place is close to a 4 star place, just needs more organization and cleanliness overall and it's there. The front looked good with holiday decorations but the back of the store looked like a hot mess with things everywhere and not very organized. I never used to go to Dollar Tree until a few years back and now I like to stop for quick random things and it doesn't disappoint. My to go place for gift wrapping of any kind. I love that I can get creative and buy 3-4 gift paper rolls and pay such little money. Also any holiday decorations for work, I get here and enjoy finding cute things. Cards is another thing I like, they sell blank cards in quantity of 6 or 8. I love to write to my hearts content and the blank cards are my favorite option with my gift wrapping. I don't ever really buy food or snacks in Dollar Tree, I guess they do have some brands of candy and lollipops etc which are popular or they have generic brands. They have cleaning supplies, house accessories...it's pretty random but I think they have a lot of merchandise and I always find something to get here. Check out could take a few minutes or a lot depending on how busy they are since they usually only have 1 or 2 cashiers. Overall Dollar Tree, I can be a baller on a budget and get as much gift wrapping as I want at this place.~ read more

Like Marissa S. I was the victim of the rude, racist and terribly inappropriate cashiers at this location today. I SERIOUSLY doubt the owner(s), managers and the Dollar Tree company care but I am writing this review so that this outrageous behavior is documented. Like Marissa S., I was verbally berated by a female cashier. I did not catch her name bc the name tag she was wearing had messy sticker letters haphazardly applied. There were 2 cashiers ringing ppl up and so I stood in one of the lines. The rude cashier (RC) snapped at me "Ma'am, you are standing in the wrong line! You need to stand in the main line with everyone else. She is just helping me (referring to her coworker in the 2nd line I assume)" "Uhhh, Where am I supposed to stand?" Bc there were no ppl behind me nor was there an obvious place that a main line would be. To which she told me "My line. I need ppl to be listening to me and realizing that there are other ppl I have to do before them!" Again "Uh, ok?!?!" I stood in her line. Made small talk with a white woman (I only mention race bc it is an issue in this case) in front of me about a Jewish holiday that is celebrated today. It turns out the white woman is also Jewish and so we exchanged pleasantries about our holiday. I was purchasing around $50 worth of stuff and so I had dozens of items. I placed a few in 3 bins I was purchasing to make it easy to check me out and have a container for my items. This apparently displeased the already hostile RC. She told me that she was "going to dump out everything from the bin bc I don't unload! So, just so you know that is going to happen to your stuff! Things go down MY WAY in my line." I thought "uhh ok, lady you have issues but I just need to buy my stuff and get out of here." I picked up the bin. Dumped out the contents in it on the conveyor belt and placed the bin on top of the pile thinking that is what she was demanding. This triggered this unbalanced woman. She screamed out to her coworker that I am abusive and hostile. She refused to check me out and said I created an "unsafe work environment." Sounds like she might be trying to build an untrue case of "hostile work environment" so that she could go out on some kind of paid leave? She continued to CONSTANTLY talk. Berating me as a customer and saying such gems as She "doesn't make enough $ to deal with this stuff!" She apparently forget/lost her phone and that "ppl do not need to push her when she is already on the edge" due to her not having a mobile device She even said "Thank G-d Haitian ppl have been coming in today and they know how to act! I can't be pushed and be dealing with hostile ppl when I forgot my phone today." Her coworker rung me up and I was silent for the 5 min that felt like an eternity. I did say that I thought she was way out of line quietly and once but the coworker stood up for the other woman and said she saw me do the "hostile act" and that is why she is checking me out. I assured the woman (I think her name was Aliocha?) That I would NEVER return to that store again. To which she replied "I don't care if you come here again or not!" Well, ok then. As I was leaving the RC got into a verbal fight with an older white man by telling him he was standing in the "wrong line" Just like me, he didn't understand where this invisible line started or stopped. I consider accusing someone of racism to be serious but I really feel that these women are rude and actually combative with white ppl. I would recommend shopping at another dollar tree unless you can and wanted to deal with totally inappropriate, racist and hostile ppl. read more

I never thought I would be reviewing a dollar store, but I should never say never because that is exactly what I am now doing. I have been in this store a few times and wasn't quite impressed. However, leaving this store a few days ago, I was so excited with all of my bargains that I just had to write a review. Lets talk about toothpaste for a minute. The selection they have is huge. Granted the tubes are a bit smaller than the average tube but for a dollar it is a great value. I use the Crest Whitening With Scope and I was really shocked to see that Dollar Tree carried it. And even more shocked that they were not expired. My friend also picked up the Crest Whitening 3D (I think) and this is normally a formula that is more pricey. However, here they were a dollar too! While browsing through the store I came across the Secret deodorant I have been using for years. Like the toothpaste the size was smaller than usual but it was only a dollar and it was the scent that I like! Several months ago I picked up really cool coasters here. They were a leopard print and they look great in my living room. I picked up a box of kitchen sized garbage bags the other night and didn't expect much from them. To my surprise they are strong and hold up well. Dollar Tree has a large selection of candles too. I was surprised that they had M&M's Scented Candles in stock. They had quite a few different scents but I bought the Red Hot Cinnamon. I just cant believe they were just a dollar each. Lets talk about candy for a minute. OMG they have every movie theater candy available. Same size boxes that the movie theaters sell but yes only a dollar! I couldn't resist when I saw that they had Red Hot Tamales. Spicy and delicious just like I remembered them. None of the expiration dates were even close to expiring either. I would definitely hit up Dollar Tree before you go to the movies. It's insane to pay movie theater prices for the exact same thing you can buy here...for a dollar. I walked out of this store so happy and giddy with excitement. I cant wait to go back and check out the kitchen isle. I didn't have time to linger but next time I will allow myself more time to shop. I am a cheap date, LOL. It's Halloween time! I was so overwhelmed, I forgot to take pics. I always find supplies I need, but, had not thought about. However, it seems that on this trip, shelves were a bit empty. I was picking up paper napkins. Apparently, all of Delray was too. However, I found some cool office and kitchen supplies, each for $1. Service is usually quick, even with a line. I love dollar tree. Its always a surprise when you come here. Of course, they have your standard items; like toilet paper, dish soap, plastic forks and such. When it comes to the kids things and party favors; it's always a pleasant surprise. I get lucky sometimes and find mini thomas the train baby trains or mini minions toys. read more

It's always good to have an alternative. And a good one. I needed a super toilet cleaner and BBB was unable to have that (LOL - probably not pretty enough for them!) but was surprised at like - EVERYTHING they have!!! like proper aluminum foil for $1!!! The big YAY was the aluminum pans i use to bake my dinners in! As a 60 hour weeker I like to prepare the food with sauce in these pans and just dump it in the oven each night - hello = 3 for $1!!!! Everything's a dollar. Well, most things. There's quite a selection of personal and household items, food, cards, etc. If you are looking for top quality, then it may be a miss. However, there are some name brand stuff in here up for dibs, so you may get lucky. The checkout process may be a wait since there was only one cashier working when I went. The manager came out and started cashiering after she seen the line increased by more people. I admit that this doesn't happen often in dollar stores. DOLLAR TREE IS THE ABSOLUTELY WORST. I placed an order online to have it shipped to the store. I received the email that it was ready. I went 2 days later to pick it up at this store to be told by Eve that she couldn't find my items and to come back the next day when the manager was working. I called customer support who initially said the emails doesn't really mean your order came in, even though it says it did. Upon escalation, the supervisor said it was there and maybe they sold my item by mistake but call the manager the next day to figure it out. So, I called Nikki that morning who said she would call me back in an hour. Never heard back. I called her and she said she hadn't had the chance to look for my items and IF she came across them she would call me. So I called customer support to just cancel the item because at 7 months pregnant I don't plan on running back and forth to the store. They refunded my items, but had the nerve to still charge me for handling and tax, as if I decided not to purchase the items instead of the fact that they lost my items. I called them back for them to say it had to be escalated and someone would call me back. Let's just say I'm still waiting. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ALL TOGETHER. They don't have to worry about me spending another penny at this store. Absolute worst experience that I've ever had with an online purchase. read more

I love this store. There are so many so-called "dollar stores" where not everything is a dollar. Everything in this store is a dollar and they have a huge selection. I found some awesome nail decorations and greeting cards at 2 for a dollar. Obviously the quality of some of the items aren't great but there are many things that I feel I am getting a deal on. read more

I'm just like the next person, everybody loves a good deal. One of my favorite quotes is " everybody is rich at the dollar store", but at this location I feel broke, uncomfortable, dissatisfied, and looked down upon. I do my very best to take my business elsewhere even if it means that I have to spend a bit more. The store itself is unbearably hot, a sight for sore eyes, and let's not even go into detail about the bathroom. The lack of inventory is irritating as well! As far as the staff is concerned, I can sort of understand why they are always complaining, I would despise working there too. However, I do not appreciate their lack of professionalism, condescending comments, and snotty attitudes. I was very disappointed to learn that this store is no longer going to carry many of the food products that I have been buying for years. Example: canned goods, bread products, drink mixes, etc. They will apparently still sell snacks. I could not get an answer as to why this decision was made. I plan on calling the corporate headquarters to see if this is going to be the new policy for all of the stores. If so, I probably won't be shopping at the Dollar Tree again.
