I'm being generous…read more We've been here before and it has never been like this. The store was an absolute disaster of a mess. At first, we thought they must be going out of business and running a closing sale. There was what looked like "crime" tape around quite a few areas. And within each area there was stuff thrown all over and, on the floor, and in assorted boxes. And some areas were totally inaccessible. And some were just dangerous. How they let anyone in to navigate around the store is beyond me. We think they were getting ready to rearrange items to match displayed pictures (they were taped on some shelves). But really people, do a section at a time so that EVERY section in the store isn't affected! There was only one staff person visible. The gal up front helping everyone at the self-serve registers. My husband said he saw another guy in the back doing something with some boxes, but I never saw that guy. This was just an accident waiting to happen. Hope they clean this up soon before the inevitable.

I had a birthday discount coupon i was trying to use before the end of the month -- so I've stopped in a few outlets recently. They had some designer handbags -- Kate spade et al -- for only $30 that were a real bargain -- but not anything I liked. And the bracelets I've bought here in the past and liked, they didn't have. But I walked around the store -- even the housewares section. They have done clearance on Christmas items (still!). Not a place I'd run back to... but glad we came, as now we know.

Di Fara is a pizza place in Brooklyn that has been named the best pizza in the country. The man who started it made EVERY pie for years. He died a few years ago but his kids keep it going... great, but not the same with the old man. When I was a kid I used to go to Di Fara so I was psyched to hear they were doing a frozen line of pizzas. The verdict? A really great frozen pizza, especially the sauce and cheese... the crust needs a little work... so good for frozen but doesn't compare to a really good pie at a pizza place. I had the Pepperoni.

I needed a replacement purse so that where I went first. They had some clearance sales going on which was an added incentive. I actually found two possibilities right away and wound up purchasing one, I didn't explore the entire store -- just mainly the jewelry, accessories, and shoe departments. These were all close together. So I found something I needed and it was not only priced well, but was a name designer, too. It's good to know I have an alternative to my usual haunts.

If you wanted to find a hostess gift for your foodie friend, it was very easy to find the right display that had cookbooks, dishes, and totes. I especially loved their Halloween collection with decorations, candles, toys, and stationary. Prices seemed on the more expensive side, a tea light for example was $16 but they have two tiers of Membership, one that is free and one for $39.99 that can give you an additional discount along with other benefits. They also have sales throughout the store like a buy one, get one half off on paper craft kits. By visiting the Paper Source website I learned that you can do $10 virtual classes with them, supplies not included. I feel like I have just scratched the surface of all that the Paper Source has to offer. The craft kids were some of my favorite items. I love anything that gets the kids off the electronics and using their hands and minds. Now that I have discovered Paper Source I will be back for that unique greeting card and one of a kind gift.

I paid $39.99 for their Full Service Travel Medicine Consultation Program, by SafeGard. I logged on, uploaded my drivers license, answered pages of questions about my health, immunizations and the dates and countries I will be visiting. I uploaded the voucher number verifying that I paid and within 24 hours I received an overwhelming 68 page travel booklet with 14 pages of specific physician recommendations. I reviewed the recommendation & reached out to the company I will be touring with before scheduling an appointment with Costco. All prescriptions & vaccine recommendations from my consultation were sent directly to the Boca Raton Costco Pharmacy which I selected. I contacted the pharmacy & scheduled an appointment to receive my prescriptions & vaccinations. The pharmacist gave me information regarding pricing & insurance coverage. Happily our insurance is covering all of the needed medication. Today at the pharmacy, we met with Laura. She had our documentation on hand and we created a plan to get all the needed injections and pills for our vacation. We filled out some paperwork and handed over our Insurance and Pharmacy cards. Seeing it today at $699 puts it out of reach for most people... but it's still amazing to see bottles like that on display at Costco. That said, Costco really shines in offering excellent, high-quality wines that are still accessible. You can find terrific values like Clos du Val Cabernet around $40, along with consistently good pricing on well known items such as Veuve Clicquot Champagne. If you know what you're looking for, Costco remains one of the best places anywhere to buy wine -- from everyday bottles to rare gems.
