Beware, this company offers competitive pricing and even a free month when you move in but after a few months of being there they hike up your monthly payment drastically. 3 months after that, you guessed it, another price hike. Now I have to deal with the inconvenience of moving all of my stuff to another storage unit I should've gone with in the first place. I understand a slight price increase here and there but 3 months and again at 6 months? Poor business practice that takes advantage of people because they know most people won't have the time to go find a new place and move your stuff a 2nd time. Paul and Derrick were friendly and professional. Got me a unit perfect for what I need and as close to an entry/exit door as possible. Facility is clean and has easy access in and out. Overall very positive experience. Overly exp. You make sure that if one is an existing person and they want you to get another unit they don't get the deals - 2 months free. Nonsense. Why people transfer from you and MAYBE come back. I was looking for a storage unit and found Dollar Self Storage in Henderson. This is located right next to the Walmart on Stephanie and America Pacific. Zack was great with showing us the unit available and getting all the paperwork filled out. The only thing that was time consuming is filling out the move in paperwork. They don't have things electronically so it's a few pages of forms but luckily it's a one time thing just for move in. We were able to get the $1 move in special and the prices were pretty reasonable. Very satisfied with the service at Dollar Self Storage. The storage is available 6am-9pm daily and the office hours are 9am-6pm Monday- Saturday and Sunday 10am-3pm. Zach explained all they rules and payment options and made the whole process smooth. read more

They are friendly and all but they keep raising the rent on you for no reason and it is not even a gradual rent, out of no where they raised my rent for $55 but never mention that to you when you go in to rent the unit. Now I have relocate all my stuff to somewhere where they are honest and upfront about rent increases. Makes no sense to do that to people who pay on time. read more

Con artists! Come in with your dukes up. I thought I was renting a $350 dollar storage unit with no sneaky tricks about exiting the contract when I needed to. Ohhhhhh, but no.... I have literally tried for four months to exit my unit and every time I'm hit with a technicality of why I can't or else pay a bunch of fines. It makes you want to just stay for another month since you end up paying more just to get out of there. I partially blame myself, I should know better and have read the fine print instead of just asking the manager. I was in the spirit of believing our community was helping one another in the wakes of Covid. When my family could have been met with kindness and discretion, we were met with intolerance and fines. Broken door doped on me when I open my unit. It hurt my finger, minor cut. I understand it was not big problem, However they make me upset. the staff lock my unit without any notice, this Dollar storage never fix my unit almost a 3 weeks. so, I can not using my unit freelly, cause they locked my unit with another loker, I should ask open my unit and wait until they come and open my unit. also, I should move my stocks to my another unit, it was very hard time almost 2 days. I needed a storage unit quickly and was given a 10 by 15 unit with 24 hour access. The manager, Dennis Singer, was most accommodating and gave me a great deal and location on the perfect storage unit for my touring motorcycle and household belongings. I am very pleased with his customer service and friendly personality. He also had box and tape packages for substantial savings. In the near future I will be needing a storage unit again and you can bet I'll be going back to Dollar Self Storage on American Pacific Blvd. read more

Same experience as other writer. Reviewing bank account one day see the rent increase. Call and was told they sent out a letter - no they didn't. Rent increase amount was ridiculous. Furthermore, the $1 for the first month promotion means NOTHING because they charge you almost the same amount as your monthly rent in the form of an "admin" fee for the first month. There are better storage facilities. Try one of them. read more

Shame on Dollar Storage. I've had a unit there for 18 months and have never been late. Today I look at my bank account and they amount they debited was much higher. I called and was told they sent out rent increase letters. I have a few issues with this... 1. I never got a letter 2. My rent increased 40% 3. I only signed approval to deduct $XX Dollars monthly. How do they just go debit way more? I asked to give my 30 days notice and was told I need to come in and sign something. I guess I know what I'm doing today. Wondering if they got bought out or something because the couple in there before was awesome and seemed like ethical, fair people. I went in today to give my 30 days notice and Carol (what I now know is one of the owners) continued raising her voice at me and telling me I didn't want to listen. I now understand they are legally able to do all of this (or so they claim). She seriously told me to sit in the corner and wait to speak to her husband. Lol what am I, 12? I politely took him outside to speak to him to not ruin their sale because another couple was signing up to rent a unit there. Hopefully she learns to handle people better. Possibly one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had... Her husband is so nice.... This could have been avoided if she'd lose the attitude. Sucks. read more

Terrible, unprofessional, completely lacks any sense of empathy. When we made a reservation to rent a unit the office was CLOSED at our reservation time, here we are sitting in 100 degree heat, with our uhaul and two babies, waiting to be able to rent the unit we reserved. Finally when we're about to leave the office clerk drives up. He wasn't even there. We still decided to rent here and we shouldn't have given them our money. If they didn't respect our time that's says a lot about how they care about their customers-they don't. My mother SUDDENLY DIED on NOV 4th and in dealing with making her arrangements, grieving, travel I forgot to pay my bill. When they assessed a LATE FEE I IMMEDIATELY called and explained my mom had passed and this slipped through the cracks could they please wave the late fee I'll pay right now over the phone. The guy said he'd call back. Called back a DAY LATER, left a message to say NO they would not wave the fee. I paid my rent and late fee but fuck them and their lack of empathy!
