I am sad to have to update this review so negatively but today I had an awful experience at what I had previously considered to be an awesome facility. I decided to move out of my storage unit and got a moving van, enlisting the help of two of my adult children. We began to tackle the project earnestly, going through boxes of items meticulously packed over two years ago. We organized the items into keep, trash and donate, placing the keep items into the moving van and setting the others along the caged trash area and along one other unit. We were alone in the storage facility on this beautiful Sunday and didn't see any issue with our methods. Needing to eat, we left for approximately 1.5 hours. The facility was closed and we left the moving van parked in front of our unit. When we returned, we were greeted by the cantankerous manager who called us inconsiderate, irresponsible and disrespectful. He began to lecture us. Both my son and I apologized and said we were cleaning this up and weren't aware that there would be any issue with this. The manager continued his rant, calling my son arrogant and demanded that I not bring him back. He claimed that the Fire Marshall and police come through there regularly (I've yet to see a Fire Marshall show up unannounced at any business I've ever worked for, much less on a Sunday) and stated the owner was on his way. I tried to defuse the situation, but my offer of a handshake and introduction were greeted with even more aggression from this elderly man and I seriously began to question our safety. My son asked for the name of the owner and was told, "That's none of your business!" I let the guy know that we would be completed by no later than 4 pm but that we would need to make a couple of trips. He threatened me with a $500 clean up fee if the place wasn't "completely cleaned out!" I have been an excellent customer of this business for almost three years. The wife of this volatile manager has told me that they are very appreciative of how my payments arrive "like clockwork" and always on time. I have never made any demands or caused any problems for them and I am really shocked at how horribly I was treated. A simple, "Hey, could you move this stuff? I see the van here, but we need to keep the area clear" would've been plenty. This guy needs some serious anger management counseling. I cannot recommend this business any longer with this kind of abusive treatment from the staff. read more

Have been at this place for years and have never had a problem with the older couple that run it until today. I parked to get the access code from my husband and waiting on a response I go put in what I thought was the code,which was wrong. I finally get in and the old guy had followed me to my unit and starts yelling at me that I should know what the code is. And that I shouldn't have parked. I explained to him I was waiting on a response from my husband on the code. The old guy says that doesn't matter if I had a problem I should've gone straight to the office. And that parking like that makes me look sketchy. I apologized and he continues his rant. Avoid this place! read more

The owner dropped F bombs at me after I calmly and peacefully asked for evidence of his accusation that multiple people were accessing my unit. I thought it to be a very fair question; if people are accessing my possessions, I very much want to know about it. The 'manager' told me I had attitude for questioning him... and, get this -- that he has too many break-ins to allow me to be coming in and out as often as I need to. Upon questioning that logic, he then raised my rent from $137 to $199 on the spot, just for asking for clarification...? I said I was very confused and that I thought that being cursed at was unprofessional. He said "who cares? Get out or I'll call the police. Whatever dude, who cares." Well, Mr. Manager, I very much think that the people considering renting from you care. To those people who are thinking about renting here: I hope you have enough self-respect to not ever deal with this person or company. Otherwise, you and the people who are apparently breaking in can have my unit; for me, I ended my lease on the spot. read more

The facility is clean and safe. Janet is very helpful and courteous. HOWEVER the elderly gentleman on the golf cart is completely disrespectful and unreasonable. I have not experienced worst costumer service like i did from him this morning in my life! I left feeling sick to my stomach by the way I was treated. Assuming he was raised in a barn does not give him the right to treat people so horribly for minor things. I needed to back up like 3ft and he had a huge tantrum. I was also accused of being a thief but I was trying to find the correct key to open MY lock. His attitude was uncalled for and very condescending. He seems to upset at the world and now taking it out on customers. Relax sir!!! read more

I'm compelled to write a review for these fine folks and facility after reading the negative ones which I'm sure have been embellished. The folks that run this place are nothing less than awesome. I've rented from them for years and have never seen anything short of professionalism. They both work very hard to ensure a super clean facility and every time I've stopped to use my unit it's never been overly busy or occupied by questionable folks. the owner is a piece of crap. I had my stuff in there for 16years I payed 10 times in storage fees. Then the stuff inside was worth. I know. For 16 years everything was fine. Then I lost my job I fell behind. I owed $600 the morning they were going to action off my three lockers. I Showed Up 8:00 Am With $500 And Said I Would Be Back That Afternoon With The Other $100 . And they wouldn't let do it. They action ed off my lockers. You piece of crap. I paid for 16 years so he could sell my stuff. Good business man.is that how you run your place. I use storage units across the city for my business and have probably stored in most of them over the years so I can compare. This place on Windmill is clean and safe. I do not worry about after-dark access here like my other units. Importantly, I have never found a nail in my tires in this facility. If you are a beginner to the storage world that issue is very common and I hate driving through some of them. These people keep it clean. read more

Janet and Irvin have been wonderful to work with the past 3 years. This storage unit facility is always clean and easy to use. We recently were able to reduce our "things", and didn't need the unit any longer. Janet worked with us and pro rated monthly charge until we could get help moving out. Extremely disappointed in this storage facility, if I could give them zero stars I would have. First they are rude and disrespectful, especially the old guy in the golf cart. He reminds me of a school hall monitor that thinks his power is untouchable. Relax guy its a storage unit. Also their payment options are in the dark ages with no online option of payment. We have moved our storage to Seven Hills Storage and couldn't be happier. Sorry to say but Janet and Irv really need some customer service training.
