REALLY POOR ETIQUETTE AND STANDARDS. I have been coming here since it opened and it was a great place with great employees. Today, we went to get aleve, and paper plates. We were overcharged and my husband went immediately back into the store to ask if there was an overcharge. The employee called a manager and told the manager My Husband had taken an extra Aleve and they had to check the cameras. He got in the car and showed me the receipt and how many items he purchased. They offered the money but insisted to check the camera - as if there was a thief. After, I CALLED on behalf of my Husband and they didn't seem to care and they defended their actions. I am telling everyone we have recommended to not shop here. There is a great dollar store up the street on Victory and even in their busiest days they are polite. We were up charged one item and they have lost hundreds from their poor customer service. Even the manager on the phone said, "that's fine." This is an epic dollar store. Everything is $1.11 plus tax (so they are a $1.11 store). They have everything you can think of, from cleaning products to decorations and everything in between. This Dollar King is great! Very good selection of wares and it's neat and orderly. Everything is affordable and of great quality. I am a frequent customer of many of the Dollar King stores and this one is one of the best ones! Rose was particularly helpful today when I was hopping through many of the stores looking for a particular item. She was friendly and capable, even apologizing for a bad customer service experience we had at the Panorama City Dollar King just earlier that day. She also went above and beyond by volunteering to call the other stores to help us locate our items. Highly recommended location and go to stop for all our shopping needs! read more

This place is nice and clean but a hit or miss on whether you'll find the item you need . They do have a huge selection of random things and did I mention it's SO CLEAN ! The people that work the register are nice , I've never felt like I wasn't welcomed . Even though they have a handful of photos of thieves on the door and walls they never follow you around suspiciously . You're free to shop and take your time . You'll need the time too because you'll end up walking out with stuff you didn't need but figured it was okay because it was only a dollar and some change . read more

Lost my business tonight... was going to buy balloons, came in a few minutes before 8:30 and we were browsing the balloon section and the cashier waited until 8:30 to tell us that they do not blow up balloons after 8:30.. ummm so why wait to tell us? We could've made our selection before 830 if that was the case. Rude lady and she's not the girl that is usually here. If it was the other girl she would know that we are regulars and spend a lot of money here. I'll take my ass to the 99 cent store instead. It's a freaking dollar store dude. Horrible experience! Dollar king should be titled dollar twenty store, looks like a dollar store, 1 dollar markings all over the store but to cover an expense they should cover them self's they instead pass the bill to the client. went in and bought bunch of supply's for my shop like any other store just to see my receipt when I left that every item was 1.21 instead, .21 cent mark up for every dollar. So I said no big deal I'll just return them, just to find out this is the only store I've been to in years that accepts absolutely no refunds. Who does that on brand new items that just left the store still in the bag? No attempt to refund and not even a chance to talk to the people in charge of it. I love this dollar king they have tons of cool make up items from nail clippers to eye brow gel for only a dollar. Most of these items are two to three times the price at other stores. Love that I can get good cleaning products for like a third of their price including wet mopping refills. I had no idea that dollar stores sold them. I even get earphones and jewelry here. Dollar King is one of my favorite dollar stores because it's clean and the Burbank location does not have tons of traffic running you over with shopping carts. I definitely would recommend this location. I love that they utilize Yelp and offer an incentive for first time visitors to the store. read more

Enter with caution if at all! Store employees not following city requirements and safe practices for COVID. I am a teacher and I have been shopping here since they opened for great prices on poster board, art supplies, party items, etc. HOWEVER the last two times I have gone into this store, Sunday, 6/14 and Sunday 5/31, there were customers AND STAFF in the store not wearing masks or wearing them inappropriately. One cashier today had her mask on her mouth but not her nose and the other wasn't wearing a mask at all. The last time I was there an employee wearing a mask only on her mouth, not her nose walked right in between me and the items on the shelf I looking at so she could put back leftover items from register. Not only did I feel very unsafe, but she was clueless that she should have waited until I finished looking at the items to move in and put things away. Instead, I had to stand and wait for her to finish. The employees here are very young, probably have had no customer service training or COVID precaution training. So sad. Dollar King. Everything is $1.11 (plus tax). They have an extensive selection of art supplies and low-end make up. Also, they regularly stock gift bags, party supplies and generic brand cleaning products. On a few occasions I have seen overstock and shelf pulls from drugstores of well known retail items - but it's mostly lower end products that have a price point of around a dollar. Not a lot of "amazing" deals - however the stock is consistent. Parking available - which is very helpful. Very nice employees. Pleased to have a discount store in this location! read more

Every time I've driven by this place I always wondered if/when they were open because the way the windows are covered and the entrance is in the back, I found it hard for to tell. But it is indeed open and if you're a dollar store junkie this place is a dream. Everything in the store is $1.11, but the extra 11¢ is worth the step up in quality. I needed art/craft supplies to make some last minute Valentine's Day gifts and wanted some place close to my apartment. I did a Yelp search and found this place less than a mile from my home, saw some pictures of craft supplies on Yelp and figured I'd give it s shot-worst case I would have to go to hobby lobby. I entered and was greeted by the friendly cashier and grabbed a basket. I slowly explored the store while looking for craft goods and found they have a decent selection party supplies (cheap wrapping paper, streamers, decorations) and cleaning supplies. I finally made it to the craft selection and I was pleasantly surprised about the amount of products they had! Acrylic paint, chalk board paint, glitter paint, small section of yarn, tons of stickers, a small section of beads, scrap booking paper, glitter, glue guns, and a bunch of other stuff I'm sure I'm neglecting to note. If you need to do a crafty gift or school project low budget, I definitely recommend coming here. The makeup section here is freaking awesome. They have so much selection I don't even know where to begin. I can't comment on the quality because I have yet to buy any. I was on a time crunch and didn't have time to fully look but they carry fake eyelashes, eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyelash curlers, sponges, brushes, nail polish, and I know other things I'm failing to mention. And next to it they have a jewelry section but I didn't have time to look. The food they carry isn't anything fancy (I'm not sure if they're like 99cent stores and sometimes carry name brand products) and mostly carry snack items I've found at Dollar Tree. I told myself to only spend $20 and ended up walking out spending $30... I'm so glad I decided to explore here and definitely plan on coming back! read more

Can you talk about the biggest waste of 20 dollars ever spent! Every single product I purchased their ended up in the trash. The litter box sucked, the kitty litter sucked. The lightbulbs I bought there were extremely strange, did not even light up my room, so I used it outside and the light was out of a horror film and super annoying to look at when you turned it on. Make it a 2 dollar king so that at least the things bought could be of better quality. Everything is $1.11. Dollar stores are sometimes a rip off and sometimes great; this one is no different. If you need the basics; dish soap, bathroom cleaner, simple plates, etc - this is your place. I have to agree, this is damn good. I kept driving by the location, and you can't see IN the windows, plus the entrance is around back. Good - so this can stay our secret. I immediately got a 6 pack of bottled water (said to be from Fiji but not FIJI water) for a buck. Tons of great small items, very very reasonable. My favorite Dollar King - the store is clean, well stocked and always has a fab selection of gift bags and crafting goods! They also have great prices and a good selection ($1.11/item) on party goods such as plastic champagne flutes and coupes, mini utensils and the like. LOVE this place! Before this store opened up I had never been to a Dollar King before... I usually go to the Dollar Tree which is a little closer to my house. I came in here a little after their grand opening and was blown away with what they have in there! I literally was walking in there not believing these things could be $1 and some change. They have party supplies that are the same exact quality as Michaels or party city and also same with the art supplies! Employees are so nice, amazing customer service and go above and beyond for you! The manager Robert even placed an order for me for items I really wanted for my wedding. He saved me time and so much money but doing this! He called me less than a week later to tell me that the order came through and the girl who helped me bring everything to my car was very friendly and super helpful. Am so excited to have these plates for my heading and being a bargain shopper, love that I got the best deal on them! Thank you and I'll be shopping more and more! read more

So I was passing by and saw this store which I definitely had to make a u-turn as quickly as I could! As I enjoy looking at new stores in my area and like to support small business owners. The store has actually been open for a few months now but I had never noticed it. This store is similar any dollar store but specializes in a variety of party supplies, unique children's toys, beads on the cheap, they also have arts and crafts. Remember everything is a dollar! You get what you pay for I left with plastic hangers always need those, and a whoopi cushion for my son, my daughter choose small unicorns.
