I came into the store to exchange an item for another gift because it did not fit my style…read more Initially, I was being helped by one associate, but they stepped away. Another employee noticed that we needed assistance and stepped in, which I appreciated. When it came time to complete the exchange and payment, Liana began explaining the process. As customers, we asked additional questions to better understand the store's policy. At that point, Liana became visibly frustrated, gave us an attitude, rolled her eyes, and stepped away. She then made comments to another customer in a way that made it obvious she was referring to us, assuming we would not understand or speak up. I want to be clear: treating any customer this way is unacceptable, especially an elderly customer. If an employee does not have the patience to explain policies or answer questions respectfully--without making customers feel uncomfortable or disrespected--then customer service may not be the right position for them. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but working in customer service requires patience, professionalism, and respect at all times. Answering questions and repeating explanations is part of the job. I hope management reviews this situation and addresses it appropriately with the employee involved. No customer should feel disrespected or talked about while standing at the counter. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

This is a hidden gem in Glendale. I love this store and even forgot about it. Over the years, I…read morehave visited this Venus Gift shop and purchased many gifts for me, so many of my friends, family members and former coworkers. No need to look elsewhere. This is a ONE stop store for ALL your needs!! Before I forget, they also have wedding registry. Great selection of items from dinnerware, houseware, glassware, and kitchen needs from appliances to basic coasters. The prices can be from moderate to a bit expensive. Depending what you are buying. They have brands like: Mikasa, Waterford, Lenox, Armani, Versace, DKNY and more.. It's out of my budget, but if you have the money to splurge, then it's your call. The store is nicely organized according to their items. Clean, & the customer service is EXCELLENT by everyone in the store! They will help you find what you are looking for; and if it's a gift, then they will even wrap it for you depending on the wrapping paper that matches your occasion. They have several employees and keep the customers very satisfied by helping them with a pleasant demeanor and smiles. Somewhat moderate size parking lot shared with other businesses. I was there few days ago, and had to buy a gift for one of my friends's birthday which is this coming week. I bought a beautiful vase for flowers and some Tupperware that she has been wanting for a while now. I know for sure that she will love her presents!!:-) Store has been open since 1985 and still going SUPER STRONG!! Thank you management, employees for all that you do for your customers. Keep up the GREAT WORK!!

First time visiting and MOG definitely has its pros and cons…read more.. Located in Studio property, you do need to be a cast member to get in. Park in the big lot on Flower- go through security to get cleared and parking is limited but in the back. The store is beautiful- not the bargain bin vibes you get at Company D in Anaheim. There is a ton of branded WED Imagineering merch and current in-park merch. However, if you are a CM who works in the parks, you're used to major deals at Company D or Maters. Here you'll get your regular employee discount A or B. If you are a guest/non-CM you will get no discount. There were a few items that were a really good discounted deal- there were also things from Aulani and Candy/Snacks. What was sort disappointing here was the guest service from staff. I had no idea how pricing was here, since Park CM's are used to pretty much everything being 50 percent off of the price tagged. When I asked if it was the same here I got a very annoyed eye roll and told that I ONLY get a discount IF I have a BLUE ID. Then a non-cm guest (who was clearly in the spectrum) asked a girl at the register about what types of jobs they have and how he could get one. Another annoyed, unfriendly answer from this girl... What really did it for me was when I asked where the restroom was. Again, the same girl was super annoyed and rattled off directions. I apologized and let her know this was my first visit here. She just repeated everything she previously said but much slower... it was patronizing and rude. I was on my way out to leave when I realized I forgot to purchase some lanyards. I went back and got in line- the same girl was OVERLY friendly and super nice to everyone else she helped... It was just a really sad, disappointing experience shopping here. I could see how this would be a great place to shop for imagineers that work here in Glendale or Burbank. However, this will be my guest and last trip.

They carry most items that are available on Shop Disney and often will have something left over that sold out quickly on the site. The back of the store is a smaller room/area that is cast exclusive items such as keychains, lanyard holders, clothing and other special items. Should you be ABLE to visit here I suggest you should because it's almost nostalgic with the old Disney Store setting and wonderful pleasant staff.

The shop has another location in Hudson, NY. [Parking]: Metered parking in Atwater Village, but luckily I found a metered parking spot across from the shop at 5 PM on Saturday. [Selection]: Very organized shop as pens are ordered by rainbow color. The shop sells a decent selection of Valentine's Day cards. The staff was friendly and even asked customers on what they were looking for. In addition to greeting cards and stationery, they also have candles, tote bags, etc. The shop also offers gift wrapping service and apparently they even sell red rose bouquets during Valentine week. [Gift wrapping service]: The service is only available at brick & mortar locations. Materials are purchased separately and holiday rush fees may be applied. The shop offers complimentary gift wrap on all in-store purchases (customer's choice of kraft box or kraft wrap with twine). During the busy holiday season, the staff may asks customers to drop off gifts and pick up at a later determined time. * Small (e.g. Small Book, Journal, Pen Box, Candle) = $8 * Medium (e.g. Shoe Box, iPad, Shirt Box) = $10 * Large (e.g. Oversized Books, Laptop, Coat) = $12 * Extra Large (oversized) (e.g. Oversized Kids Toys, Bedding Sets, Large Framed Art, TV) = $20+ [Conclusion]: The shop has a more diverse selection and is not limited to just Japanese style cute stationery. This is really a one-stop shop for anyone looking for a last minute gift.

I loooove a good small business that gift wraps!!…read more I had two friend birthdays to shop for and I found everything I needed plus more. I got some chocolate bars based on my friend's personalities and a candle in a scent named after a vacation place one of them wanted to travel to. They'll gift wrap for free with kraft paper and you even have the option to choose premium wrapping for a small additional fee. As someone that is awful at wrapping gifts, this perk was amazing for the price and I always opt-in if it's available. All my interactions from entering, to checking out, to picking up were phenomenal!! The shop attendants greeted me and my husband warmly upon entering and their hospitality also trickled into their text messages when they were keeping me up-to-date on my wrapping order. Do note that when they are backed up with gift wrapping, they might have you come back at a later time if there's a queue! This is an excellent problem because there are so many shops to duck in and out of nearby. I ended up running other errands outside of the area and coming back before closing on my way to my friends' parties. Getting a greeting card, several presents, a little 'treat yourself' gift to me, and gift wrapping all in one stop? Perfection.
