From apples to Brita pitchers to shoes to beer and liquor!! You can find it all here. They've improved the bakery over the years and they do have a nice specialty dips and cheese section. We recently tried the Fredrik's Meijer brand frozen pizzas and they were awesome! The crust was so crispy and delicious as were the toppings. One of the things that has changed over the years is the number of employees that work the lanes. As far as pricing, some items are priced at the same level as the chain supermarkets, while other items are actually cheaper here. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The lady there always takes time to answer my questions, and has taught me valuable information about Asian cooking. For instance, they carry 15+ different soy sauce varieties from different countries. I now know which variety to use for which dish and why. Call ahead for hours. I believe they are usually closed on Tuesdays, but open till 8pm the rest of the week.

But today is my last trip to FF for the duration of this pandemic unless major changes in health policy are made with the staff. No one wears a mask, no staff practices social distancing, they work in close proximity (inches!) of each other without any protective gear, and they openly wonder about the merits of social distancing. Staff will walk into your personal space when focused on another customer. The store is cramped and so social distancing is difficult to practice with other shoppers. I don't want the staff to get sick. I want a unique local business to survive. But I don't feel safe shopping there, and I also don't want to support a health food store that won't actually engage in proper emergency public health policies! If the price is good for you, then take advantage of their curbside pickup, pay over the phone, call them to say you're outside, but don't go inside. It doesn't feel safe.
