Cashier Matthew was great. However when there was a price discrepancy about an item, the floor supervisor Aaron was called over and was extremely unhelpful. Almost rude. In the end, they all realized the item had been priced incorrectly. I told the cashier Matthew how much I appreciated his helpfulness. I also nicely told the floor supervisor Aaron how he could have better handled the situation. He was a young kid. He was okay and apologized. The store manager Kyreena was was not helpful at all. I was overall very disappointed with the management at this location. Shockingly unhelpful and extremely apathetic to a price discrepancy. I know everyone is tired, etc, but the way to the top is to place a high priority on customer care. Target on Freedom Drive did a fantastic job in a similar situation just last night. Kyreena may benefit from some PR training for herself and her supervisors. read more

Great store with so much more than just tools and hardware. The workers are so friendly and knowledgeable and the management is very pleasant to work with if there is an issue after purchase. Good prices and love the rebate deal. I will say around Christmas time there was a very unfriendly working man smirking and talking behind customer's backs, upset if they put a toy back in the wrong spot. I am a big fan of Menard's. They have a much better selection than Lowe's and Home Depot. Their prices almost always beat the competition. While you may have to watch the quality of some items, they are overall way better than the other stores. I've bought many items to remodel our home from Menard's even though the closest one is more than a hour drive away. I'm really glad to see them enter the St. Louis market later this year. One is set to open up less than 6 miles from our house. I cannot wait! read more

Bought a refrigerator at this Menards and told them to bring 2 delivery people since it was going down stairs and we have dark hard wood floors so as not to scratch them. They were just recently finished and coated. This included the stairs. Only one guy showed up and when told about the wooden floors he said "Oh don't worry, I won't scratch them." Well he brought in the fridge by himself and scratched up the wooden floors. When I showed this to him, he said sorry. On the way down the stairs, he chipped a piece of the wood and some scratches on the wall. On the way back up, instead of lifting up the dolly he dragged it up the stairs. He looked at the scratches and the chipping and said "I'm sorry." Don't ever expect delivery from these folks to be what you want! Plan on having some other hands around, and protect your walls and flooring on your own! read more

This is the most incompetent store I've ever had the displeasure of purchasing from. Their prices are just okay. The knowledge of their own products and specials and the ability to run this store smoothly are out of their capabilities. I'm trying to buy a new washer and dryer. They thought these items were in stock, then they weren't. Then they messed up on the paperwork 3 times making me walk the entire length of the store twice. I have a bad back so I was already upset at this point but decided to continue with the purchase since I was already in store. They told me that since my items weren't in store, it would be 2 weeks for delivery, they would call me to set up the time. No calls the day before so I call them and they don't have ANY of my paperwork, my washer and dryer has been sitting in their store for a week and now they can't deliver until middle of the week, not on Monday as they originally promised. I also did not receive my information for a rebate I qualified for...which is why I bought the brand that I did, for the rebate. I asked about that as well when I called to find out about delivery and the guy has no idea how to give me the rebate information I qualify for. This will be the last time I drop $1,600 with horrible service. I do not feel like a valued customer. I feel like their employees do not care to learn their jobs and the communication between employees needs to be rectified. How many mess ups can possible happen to one order? I'm on 6 and still counting. They haven't been delivered yet so we'lll see if the tally rises. read more

The store is clean,well laid out and has a great selection. So why three stars? The bogus 11% off everything. The process is terrible as you can't do it online and have to find a printer to get the forms. I bought over $1200 worth of doors and sent off for my $130ish rebate. Three months later still nothing and no response from the complaint dept. Shopping here is great but realize that you likely won't get a rebate so compare prices accordingly. read more

I bought a lawn mower from them that rattled during the first use. Couldn't take it back or exchange it bc I put gas in it so I had to take it to a specialized lawn repair shop. After that was fixed the pull cord snapped. Just make sure you don't get a cheap piece of crap mower. Also some of those mail in rebates don't ever make it back to you. Lost in the mail they say. Bought a medicine cabinet based on their display model. Cabinet was scratched, noted when taking out of box. Door was already attached so appears to be a return. Requested assistance since merchandise was damaged. The customer service desk refused to let us speak with a manager and stated the only thing we (patrons) can do is fill out a complaint form to corporate and HOPE they do something about it. Display model also had knob, apparently cabinet has no knob, no way of opening it other than trying to wedge a fingernail by the glass. They say they just added it to the display model.
