I've heard of burgers at car washes but never burgers at a grocery store/laundromat. Yep, they own the laundromat next door too. I came mainly for the burger and jalapeno poppers, but sadly they no longer have the latter, not enough people ordered them. I simply ordered a burger basket with onion rings instead of fries, big mistake! The onion ring breading was so rock hard, it hurts my mouth when I tried to bite into them. The burger weighs in at about 1/3 pound and is pressed very thin. It resembles and tastes nearly identical to Whataburger, with exception of one important thing, they use fresh ground beef here. No surprise a lot of Yelpers mention Whataburger in their reviews. My patty was cooked medium, but they don't ask how you want it cooked. The burger normally comes with toasted bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard and mayo. I added sliced, pickled jalapenos for free at the suggestion of the lady taking my order. I also added a 500 mL Mexican Coke and the total came out to about $7. They also use American cheese, so I skipped that. As compared to Hippo burger, which I had to pass just to get here, I like the buns here more, since they hold up well. However, Hippo has a more flavorful beef patty, and it's thick which is my preference. Average service when placing my order, but the man at the cash register was very friendly and seemed like one of the owners. They don't have anywhere to sit down inside, so its definitely to-go only. Next time I come back, I'll try a double burger with fries.

I haven't seen him in a while but I think he has been replaced by this guy called Butler I think. I had the misfortune of having to deal with this Mr. Butler when I was having an issue with the attitude of the people working in deli. They called Mr. Butler over to help assist me, and he was nothing but unprofessional and rude. He completely disregarded everything I said, looked at me like I was stupid, and when he walked away from me, I overheard him calling me "white trash" to a fellow employee. I knew exactly what he said, and I informed him that I was gonna call corporate for his unprofessional management skills and his racist remark - he just looked at me again like I was stupid and simply walked away. I really do wonder if Kroger actually trains their store managers properly, because I've never been treated in such a way all my years shopping there.

I seen her sorting things and I thought maybe it was more urgent than me waiting in line, but when the pharmacist asked her if she helped me she claimed "I ignored her," which was her reason for making me wait so long, when I didn't even know she spoke to me to begin with so I stood there sickly because she "assumed" I ignored her. Jonathon showed us to each vendor and described what each tent had to offer, how long the market had been around. The cooking demo was great. Chef Jazzy explained her background, being trained at the Culinary Institute of America. She demonstrated how to properly cut a pineapple, grill it, to bring out its natural sweetness. The king trumpet mushrooms were an alternative vegetarian to "scallops", everything prepared was delicious! This was such a great idea to use produce and seafood sourced from the market. With that said, we came to HEB and found out that they are a privately owned company grocery chain. Like Whole Foods but privately held. The store itself it's fairly large with practically everything you'd need on a daily basis. From produce to your every day basics, they try to carry anything and everything you need. I followed my friends around the store, aisle after aisle and found a few things to pick up while I was there. I probably spent about an hour or so looking around and thinking of what to buy. It's a typical supermarket with all the things that are available for you. They have what most people buy and what is in demand every single day. I even saw a poke station inside the store, near the back. I thought it was funny, that I am from Hawaii. That's cool that there's a Hawaii presence here at HEB. For the most part though, it was a nice and enjoyable experience at least for a supermarket goes. Everything was great, organized and optimized for everyone's needs and shopping experiences. For me though, I picked up a few bottles of unsweetened green tea for a nice price and a couple cartons of ice cream for later. If you're in the Humble area of Texas, consider coming to this grocery chain to get your favorites and daily essentials here. Unfortunately, there's no reliable or viable public transportation in and around Humble. Best bet would be to rent a car or ask a friend to drive you to and from HEB for daily necessities. While it may not fit everyone's budget, it provides many with the goods/services they need on a daily basis and it's nearby. For my experience though, it was nice because I got to shop with friends.
