Normally I'm pretty pleased with this location. Today however, I saw the bagger put my beautiful papaya in the cart pretty roughly. Sure enough, when I got home, I noticed how banged up it was. I was planning on leaving it out for a few days before peeling it, but it has to be done now. Anyways, I just called customer service to complain and let them know to please tell the baggers to be more careful with fruit. They told me to come back to the store, but I have no time. So, I guess watch out for your fruit so they don't mangle it. read more

So this just happened..as I was checking out, the gentleman sacking my groceries ran out of bags. He simply said im out of bags and completely stopped working and stood there watching. I had to go to a closed lane and restock this guys bags and assist him with the bagging of the groceries in order for him to resume the task. I had to stop him multiple times from putting heavy objects on top of eggs,bread and fruit. The cashier never made eye contact or acknowledged our existence. 01/12/23 My bf, sister, and I walked around looking for a wrap for his ankle, hair products and fresh eucalyptus. All three items are in very different parts of the store, which is fine. My main issue was with the fact that security literally walked behind us in every aisle like we wouldn't notice him. (Description of employee) He had long dirty blond hair and was Caucasian. Everywhere we turned, he was right behind us. I'm just confused because we weren't wearing baggy clothes or even wearing backpacks or something suspicious. Love this particular Krogers. I'm in this one a lot and Valley Ranch. Stores are clean and staff are super friendly. Today I had to hurry in to get a salad for my lunch plus use the rest room. Done with this location, everytime I have a pickup order I have multiple problems. Today 4/8/2022 they tried to give me someone else's groceries, the kid slams my tailgate rear door on my SUV hard, they didn't scan my paper coupons, and they only gave me one of the two packs of chicken I ordered so I ended up paying $27.99 for one pack of chicken!!! PHARMACY The pharmacy here sets every prescription up for automatic refills. This makes it difficult for someone who's frequently changing meds. The text message updates they send out with the total for your prescription are never accurate. And to top it off, they started putting your debit card inside the stapled prescription bag. This Krogers is convenient, close by work, and has a HUGE selection of items to choose from. I personally like their salad bar. Not the biggest but they have a large selection of fresh salad-bar items to choose from (veggies, fruits, nuts, etc) AND they have 3 types of hot soups to choose from. On top of all that, they have a Starbucks inside the store. Yum I come here at least once a week to get a salad and do a little grocery shopping. I would consider this one of their 'flagship' stores. read more

Big deal. I have one of those down the street from me!" Well, sassy britches, Kingwood has long awaited the coming of this very grocer. You've been able to redeem your Kroger points for fuel savings for a hot minute, but us Kingwoodites have to travel to Atascocita if we so feel to redeem ours. If anyone remembers the opening of the HEB in Atascocita, I would say that this is a similar experience. It is very exciting to have a store that has those quirky add ons, (sushi rolling station, salad bar, Starbucks, Fred Meyers jewelers and WHHAAAA an entire furniture department). My favorite parts: I can still get the clearance meat that I love Kroger for, they have an extended health foods section, a great toy selection at reasonable prices and the beer. THE BEER! They have an intense selection of local and craft beers that make this little lady oh so very happy because this place is less than 2 minutes from my home. Suck it Specs, I'm hittin' up the Kroger. They are obviously overstaffed now with it being the grand opening but they have heards of little blue vesties running about. Very sweet kids and speedy service, for now. read more

I love this Kroger Marketplace! I like the fact that I can get fresh meats, seafood, garlic bread, and cold cults. Usually I'll go during the day and sometimes they give out samples of sushi and cheeses. I don't eat sushi much but I had a sample that was being served called Shagy Dog and it was pretty good. I enjoyed it, so if you love sushi give it a try. The store has been open for more than a month and the service is still great. Staff are nice and very helpful. Can't get enough of this place :).. read more

On 1-19-2023, I attempted to purchase an Apple gift card, neither the cashier or her supervisor could get the card to activate. The supervisor insisted that even though my receipt indicated that my credit card was charged, that since it didn't activate the charge would not go through. When I accessed by credit card statement a few days, I discovered that the charge did indeed go through and I went to the Customer Service booth at the store for a refund. Now over 2 weeks later, I still don't have my money back and have filled a complaint with the corporate office. It took the store less than 3 minutes to over charge a customer and more that 2 weeks to get a refund of which I still don't have.....sounds like theft to me. read more

The most up to date Kroger in the area. Not a bad place to shop. Just a little overpriced, and that has to do with the area and competition. You can find anything from a fresh country baked bread to house furniture and decorations. Gave four stars because being an Chicagoan, their sister store in Chicago, Jewel Osco, has away more produce selection to choose from. Will be back! read more

i had a voided transaction on my debit card, 5 days later it is still listed as pending, when i contacted Kroger they told me i had to contact their call center, of course i get some person in India or Pakistan that speaks horrible english and after a long drawn out time on the phone he proceeds to tell me i just have to wait till they decide to release the transaction..... from a voided transaction no less...... personally I will never step foot in this establishment again, no location, ever, this treatment to a loyal customer is beyond ridiculous. No matter how much i dislike HEB's layout in their stores, at least they have customer care at their core, I had an issue at HEB once, the store manager fixed it right away and even months later saw me in the store and said hello and asked if i had any further issues, that's customer care, Kroger does not want you there, you are an inconvenience. read more

I have reported Kroger for poor customer treatment previously and now shop elsewhere. However, I stopped in last week on a time crunch, and the service is worse than ever. There were NO CARTS available. Zero. A kind shopper gave me his on the way out. Shelves were not well stocked. I was literally nagged again to sign up for one of their cards (you don't need a card if their prices are competitive), and when I asked about the carts, the person *wearing a vest* claimed not to work for Kroger and sassed me on my way out! And they did not have a full staff in the store--the one that used to be a bit better than the other I reviewed. And this was my last stop-by. Sad really. This super Kroger is the real deal. Came in for the grand opening today and store looks great. The place is huge, has a jewelry store a full size pharmacy section with a outdoor drive threw. They also have a furniture section that has sofas, tables, lamps, stands, picture frames, stands, and home decor this section looks a bit like home goods. I like the fact that this place sells hot food for lunch and dinner and has a seating around to sit and eat, a nice full size deli that sells boars head cold cuts and cheeses. A sushi and soup bar with a chef on site, you can also get fresh squeezed orange juice daily at the juice bar and they sell them by the 1/2 gallon and across from the juice section there's fresh flowers and small plants and you can find Starbucks cafe right next to that. The bakery is awesome fresh bake cakes breads and cookies every where a cool feature in the bakery is you can pick your own fresh bread and cut it in a bread slicer machine which is cool. I really love the seafood and meat departments and I would recommend getting your fresh cut meats or seafood from krogers supermarkets because Walmart and target package meats and seafoods ain't always what it seems to be, meat department has a full selection of steaks, chicken, sausages, and carnitas meat which i don't see at other krogers. Seafood department has a good selection of crabs, lobsters, snow crab legs, filets, salmons, season and stuffed fish, scallops etc.. Over all the store is a hit you can find what you need here you would have to come in and see for yourself. Will be my go to supermarket. read more

They added this giant ugly "scan and go" thing in front of the entrance. It blocks the busiest walk way in the whole store so now everyone has to walk around it. Finally figured out where stuff is in this store and they completely rearranged it. Now nobody can find anything. Everyone is walking around lost. I'm convinced this store no longer has potato chips bc they are nowhere to be found I've talked to multiple customers about this. We are all lost. None of us can find anything. We went today to get a refund for prescription charge. Have Kroger Rx SC so metphormin is free but we were wrongly charged about 30 days ago. We tried to tell staff person at that time... that it was free but she charged us anyway. Went back next day and was told that we had to wait to get refund. Went back 2 more times and pharmacy was closed when hours of operation said that it should be open(am). Today a tall red headed man with beard yelled at us about being a month out and that he needed to feed his family?! Told us that we were wrong and he shouldn't give us our money back! Got all of our receipts as proof and its $16.17. It's the principle of the matter. We are loyal customers to your store as a whole but this is absurd behavior and are considering transferring our RXs to HEB. I know people are stressed during this time but as a company your customers should be treated in a respectable manner. So for a whole month your store has given us the run around and/or are completely inept and then in the end literally chastised us like we're causing a "PROBLEM"... I believe that this review will NOT get any traction but I felt the need to take time to inform you of your employee[s] behaviour. The general public( posting this on Google, Yelp, Facebook, Twitter yada yada:) will be notified as well. It took us 30 days, 4 trips to the pharmacy and a reprimand from a freaked out employee to get $16.17. read more

I started shopping in this store after my primary and backup grocery stores flooded during hurricane Harvey. I wanted to give this store more stars but I just couldn't because of a few huge issues. The store is freaking huge! That's not necessarily a good thing. It's likely as large or larger than a super Walmart. There really is no reason for the store to be this darn big! It has an indoor, and outdoor furniture section. It has lamps and accessories for the home. It has plants, shrubs etc. it even has clothes and shoes! These aren't things I'm bothered by, but the way the store is laid out you have to visit all these areas to get the groceries you need. Of course it also had groceries, but nowhere near the selection HEB carries. Prices are crazy, and I assume that they are only this high because of lack of competition because all other stores flooded in the area. I can't see how they could stay in business otherwise, with prices this high. read more

That said, I do like this Kroger location as it is the largest in the immediate area. They have it all and then some. I actually like the layout of the store - groceries on one side and merchandise on the other. I'm honestly not sure how they could improve. I love the selection. I was actually in store buying back to school supplies of all things. Short of going to an office supply store, I'm not sure how you could do any better. The store is clean and bright. I had no problem finding anything that I needed. I went ahead and walked the rest of the store just to check it out and simulate a normal shopping trip. If HEB weren't so good and so close to my home, this would be the store that I would choose to grocery shop at. I appreciated the abundance of self checkout lines. Worst grocery store in Kingwood. Over priced and rude customer service. I went in to return a pair of flip flops that were to small for my mom and there was a long line. No big deal. But then the cashier was irritated that she had to do the return and was complaining to a manager that there were "too many chiefs" instead of finishing my transaction. It was weird and uncomfortable. I have never had anyone go out of there way to make sure I didn't spend my money there. Kroger's has the best deals you can honestly go grocery shopping and not break your budget they have the widest range of items and their cleanliness is far better than any competitor . I absolutely love Kroger's they become somewhat of a family they know me when I come in. The addition of Starbucks and to Kroger's was a grand idea it's almost like I don't need to make two stops I can just go straight to grocery shopping and get my coffee right on time that being said the cupholders in the shopping cart will not hold a Starbucks cup so be careful pushing around your shopping cart holding the Starbucks cup. And Kroger's has been sending coupons for Starbucks for their customers that are on the mailing list with the card. The app that Kroger's has is very good you can upload ultimately any coupon that is in the Sunday paper and use it instead of having to Cut it out. The coupons come off automatically the fuel points that you get towards fuel on the weekends is such a great savings I always save so much at Kroger's I really appreciate them on any level they've always had superior customer service. read more

After dark this place goes to shit. It's ran by a bunch of high school and college kids who don't give a rats ass. One night I came and bough over 200 dollars worth of food and they only had self check out. It took me 35 mins to check out if I hadn't spent an hour shopping I would have left my cart. This last time I was trying to return something and Hannah or holly kept walking around and thew the return on a girl who was new. Talk about lack of professionalism get it together Kroger. Also most of the times I come here they make you bag your groceries yourself, and tonight there were 4 guys standing there talking while one checked me out no other lanes were open and a line full of people. Talk about shitty customer service. I can't wait till the new HEB opens I'll be going there from now on. read more

Been shopping at Kroger for years. Went into this new one and it was a nightmare. Every shopper was walking around frantically asking where stuff was. The yogurt is on the complete other side of the store when it should be next to dairy and soda is easier to find than water. Which is also located 6 aisles away from all beverages. read more
