It is disgusting and demeaning. What they are doing is calling me a theif. I spend $200 in there weekly and they think I an going to put up with that behavior. The manager Wendy says that they are doing their job. Texans we do not need to shop there. We need to go somewhere where we will be respected. The bad actors that they are and Kroger want to treat us like criminals. Let's move them out of Texas. They do not deserve to be here.

I've experienced their take home Texas barbeque a couple of times, and was excited when my brother let me know that his local H-E-B had a Bayou Boil House (not all do), serving up Louisiana Crawfish boils during the weekend. The stand is located at the front entrance of the store where the carts are located (similarly where a hot dog stand would be if in a Midwestern store). It is manned by two H-E-B employees, with coolers stocked with the already cooked seafood and vegetables. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived an hour before closing (closing at 6pm), they were out of crawfish (would have been $6.97 per pound). Instead we got shrimp (headless and deveined, shell-on for $12.97 per pound), with corn and potatoes ($2.97 per pound), sausage ($7.97 per pound). Snow Crab would have been $16.97, though I never think it is worth it. It is all mixed together in a large durable plastic bag. We brought it back home, and I ended up eating it for dinner and the following breakfast. Everything was really good: nothing was overcooked (i.e. mealy or mushy), the sausage was a good andouille, and the old bay type seasoning was just right. They could definitely elevate it up a couple of notches if replicating a Viet-Cajun sauce, that is very popular in the Houston area. But as it is, definitely a winner...along with their Texas brisket, makes me wish an H-E-B was visitable from where we live.

Unfortunately, my experience at the H-E-B Market at Northpark, 19529 Northpark Dr., Kingwood, TX 77339, on **August 18, 2026, was extremely disappointing. I found six-pack packages of coconut water on the shelf with a clearly displayed sales price underneath. Based on that displayed price, I selected two packages. However, when I got to the register, I discovered I was being charged bottle-by-bottle making the total nearly 40% higher than the price I understood was displayed on the shelf. I explained the issue to the cashier and personally walked an associate back to the shelf. The associate **verified the location and confirmed what I was saying. The cashier and associate apparently did not know how to correct the issue, so an ASM who identified herself as Sinti became involved. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled was extremely disappointing. I felt dismissed, talked down to, and shut down rather than treated like a valued customer with a legitimate concern. What made matters worse was being told that employees had apparently been repeatedly putting the product in the wrong location and that management would have to have a meeting with them. My question is simple: If this was an ongoing problem, why wasn't it corrected before customers were put in this position? I also asked to speak with someone above the ASM and was told there was no one higher than her. That response was unacceptable to me. I want to be clear: This review is NOT about getting a discount. It is about the principle, the pricing, accountability, and how customers are treated when they bring a legitimate concern to management. I have my receipt showing what I was charged, and I believe the situation warrants investigation. When a product is displayed at one price and a customer is charged substantially more at checkout, that should be taken seriously not dismissed. I have a choice of where I spend my grocery money. I choose H-E-B because I expect a certain level of customer service and integrity. I should not have to feel disrespected simply because I questioned a price displayed on the shelf. H-E-B Corporate should investigate this incident, the pricing/signage issue, whether management was already aware of the recurring problem, and the way this ASM handled the interaction. This is not the H-E-B customer-service standard I have experienced in the past, and I sincerely hope it does not become one.

Horrible customer service. Called Sunday after getting home and realizing I didn't get two items. Woman said just come in and we'll get them for you. I've been sick since Sunday and so have my two children and I work until 5 everyday I can't just go in whenever so I went today. A "manager" took my receipt and said he needed to check the cameras. Wait... what? I spoke to someone and this wasn't a big deal but now I'm in store and it is? -30 damn minutes later and he comes back with a picture on his phone asking if it was me. The picture was of a white man wearing a cap with a little blonde girl. I'm a thick Hispanic woman that had a 16m old with her in a cart. I had a white t shirt and jeans with my daughter wearing a white long sleeve onesie and blue bottoms... where did white male come from? Anyway I did say "are you f***ing kidding me?! That's a white guy? You're treating me like a thief!" And his response was "I'm asking because I can't tell" I'm sorry but you're an idiot. Hispanic woman with dark brown hair and a tall white male look nothing alike You're also an idiot Because you refused to give me my items or my money back and just walked away saying and i quote "i don't have to deal with this. Lonnie actually rewards people who do a terrible job and punishes those who work hard. He is the most incompetent imbecile of a manager who REEKS of alcohol every day. This man probably washes his mouth with whiskey everyday before he shows up to work. He also likes to be racist and fire black employees for no reason.
