This Kroger's had me bypassing the Kroger near me became the offered delivery. Big mistake!!!! My order was suppose to be delivered between 7-8pm. I received a call at 8:34 from one of their associates explaining that their 3rd party delivery service never arrived . I stated I would come and pick up the groceries. The associate called back at 8:55pm ( as I'm in route to pick up my groceries) not to worry that my groceries would be delivered by 10pm. At 10pm no groceries and no call. By the. The store was closed. I waited until the next morning to call the department. After talking to a manager and he talking to the associate that called me, the blame was placed on me. The associate said that I called them to come and pick up my groceries and I never showed up. Long story short, the only offered me $10 discounts for me to come pick up my groceries . That was for my inconvenience. Really ?!?!! I will NEVER again use this service and I hadn't shopped at any Kroger's since then. I refused to shop where no cares!!! read more

This location has got to be the King of Krogers. I get lost every time I go in, but it sure is beautiful and has a little bit (or a lot) of everything. Although they're a little pricier than some other grocery stores, we are plus members, so you just shop the deals. The gas station has great prices and is well kept. I'm glad they have friendly staff, because I definitely hit them up every trip to speed me on way to the right aisle, otherwise, I'm pretty sure I'd never find my way out. read more

Ahh Sushi!! So I walk up to the Sushi spot, you know where there are some sushi rollers making sushi inside Kroger. I LOVE THIS KROGER! Brand new and beautiful. Huge and full of everything you can imagine. Great place for fresh meats, cheese, breads, etc. Even a sushi bar! Kroger Marketplaces are awesome to go in. Their salad bar left me desiring more. The salad dressings weren't clean so that's why one star was taken off. Also, the cart attendants weren't around to collect the carts from the corrals or the parking lot, Other than that, service was great. This is the best Kroger I have ever been to in Texas. The deli and bakery department are exceptional. The Starbucks is super clean and neat. Every time I walk in this Kroger I always seem to be greeted by the same Manager (Kendrick W). He is always courteous to me and goes out his way to find me M & M cookies, which are the best I have ever had. I hate to give this store such a low rating but I've had enough. We frequently come to this store because it is nicer than the other stores in our area. They have a large selection of produce and other goods BUT I will no longer be coming here due to their bad meat! A few months ago I purchased chicken breasts from the meat counter, not the pre packaged kind. I got home which is about 5 min. away, and put the chicken in the refrigerator. The next day, I took it out, unwrapped it, and immediately noticed a rotten smell. I threw the chicken away. Last night, I went and purchased two rib eye steaks which totaled 23 dollars. I put the meat away in the refrigerator and today I decided to make steak and eggs for breakfast. The meat on the bottom side of the steak was dark gray and slimy, it had an off-putting smell as well. We took it back to the store with receipt in hand. The store employee who helped us examined the meat and said "it's only a little rotten"! I'm sorry but I don't want to eat meat that's "only a little rotten". They gave us two steaks as replacement but the total price of the two new steaks was less than the amount we originally paid. I think in terms of customer service, they dropped the ball. To be sold bad meat, then go through the hassle of taking it back only to be met with cheaper steak has made me decide to take my business elsewhere. read more

This Kroger is a great place to shop. It's clean and has a great selection. If you have a vegan or vegetarian in your family, there are plenty of options for them at this Kroger. Whether you eat gluten free or just generally healthy, this is the store that has or will special order items you want. They also have a bakery, Starbucks, pharmacy, sushi counter, a jewelry store, clothing (that runs a bit small and has few options so far),kitchen supplies, a huge pet section, and a deli that makes prepared meals. The bakery looks amazing, but I haven't yet gotten anything really worth the calories. I am almost always disappointed in a grocery store's fruit, and the fruit here has almost uniformly been great. The problem? You definitely pay for all this greatness. It is not cheap. I love fresh ground almond butter and they have it, and they're going to completely overcharge you for it. I always shudder a little when I buy a hand cut steak from the butcher. So good for dinner,so tough on your wallet. I recommend getting a Kroger card to use your saved points at their gas pump. Their weekly sales are also great to combine with coupons you've saved and your Krogers card. I've been to other area grocery stores, but keep returning here. read more

My mother ordered a cake here for her wedding. She ordered two plain round cakes, no decoration, two plain one 8 inch and one smaller cake. Not that hard right? Went to pick up the cakes and the lady behind the counter starts icing a marble and chocolate cake. Told her we ordered white cake, then proceeds to tell us they were out of white cake. Ordered several days before. No one called! Why would you not call and tell us. They made the smaller top tier. No bottom. Tried to push a chocolate sheet cake off on us and acted offended when we wouldn't take that or the smaller tier they made. Tried to order a cake from several other places but of course couldn't do one in such a short notice. This was for a wedding! Beyond upset about it ended up having to make a cake. Will not be ordering anything from here ever again completely unprofessional. If I could choose zero stars I would. read more

I had such high hopes for this place, and it has fallen very short. Let me start off by saying the fresh in store made tortillas are amazing, and the deli, salad bar, olive bar, sushi bar, etc are chock full of plenty of choices, all fresh and delicious waiting for you. However, theyre also out of some of my grocery staples every time. I tried to ask someone in the meat department for a type of brat they didnt have out in the case once, and i got "well i dont usually work in this department"... uh, sorry to bother you? This Kroger really has a nice selection and the customer service during the day is good. I have even called the store in the past to commend them on their service. Unfortunately, it's a different story after dark. It seems management lacks the sense to keep a cashier/ check-out line open and everyone has to do self check-out. This might be okay if customers were just picking up a couple items, but some had entire carts full. This is bothersome for those waiting in line (I waited over 1/2 hour then gave up) but also makes those checking out their cart full of groceries feel rushed. Not to mention the poor customer service rep that was trying to keep 5 open self check-out registers operational. Nice store + bad check-out experience = loss of customers. Come on Kroger management - your community expects more of you. read more

Everything here is at top except the bakery. Which is why its at three stars. It was my grandmothers birthday, and last minute decided to buy a cake for her. I went to krogers kingwood to buy the cake, when there I've seen a fruit tart there which look good and was called Hawaiian fruit tart, (which when ate it there were no pineapples, coconuts, or any that tasted, or looked Hawaiian.) When the staff lady asked do I need any thing, I asked what was inside, she failed to answer and asked other what was inside, after a couple of minutes she came back and told me "they said it should be a vanilla custard" and although I should had never got the fruit tart because of the poor answer, I decided to take it. When got to my grandmothers house it was time for desert and although it amaze every one with the nice decor of the fruit tart, when started cutting I could not cut a piece. At first I thought it was the crust, but soon found out it was a half of inch of chocolate. I guess they made a chocolate custard and they put it in the crust and refrigerated which made the chocolate custard like a chocolate bar. It was embarrassing for me, and at same time made me disappointed at kingwood krogers. read more

The New Kroger in Kingwood at the front the North Park entrance is phenomenal. I could talk all day about why, but this is a review so I'll keep it short. If you like Fish, Deli meat, or Produce, Kroger has got you covered, this new store that is. I'm knowledgable about all stores in Kingwood, grocery markets that is, for various reasons, and aside from the HEB in town center, quality wise Kroger has no competition. The two closest competitors have adequate departments as well, but if you want it to be a livening experience while you shop, Kroger can fit that bill. You can tell they take the time to care, and that's all I look for as a customer who I am giving money to for products. It's easy to not care and still get paid or make profits, but as a consumer I can tell Kroger cares. Vast selection of other goods is an understatement when it comes to this new store, again on the highway side of Kingwood. Customer service could be better, but the hiring seemed to be based from high schoolers looking for part time work, so you'll need to give them a break on that if you want to continue shopping there after your first experience. There are some other nieche's that you won't find at other stores in Kingwood. I want to talk about their seafood department that I have found the best in town. I can't say enough about this new Kroger from a satisfaction standpoint, however it is still Kingwood, Texas so shop with caution. Just kidding, Kingwood is awesome and so is the new Kroger store.
