I order a birthday cake from the bakery at the Kroger in Humble, TX. It was stale and not fresh. The icing and the cake all tasted like coconut oil, terrible. Cake was spongey and dry as hell. It was not baked fresh. I am returning the uneaten portion for a refund.

This Kroger location is awesome sauce. The employees are always professional and the atmosphere of the store is great. I go here to do all my grocery shopping. The parking lot has plenty of parking, it has it's own gas station, and a good selection of foods in the grocery store. Kroger also has a rewards program where you can enter your reward card or alt id pin to receive discounts on your groceries, the discounts are worth it!! I save a lot of money shopping here. I would have given them 5 stars if they were open 24 hours

I really enjoyed this location. This was my first time at this location and from my experience your visits are either good or bad. I went in, the store was kept clean and the shelves were stocked nicely. Some of the staff asked if I needed help. It was a nice place to do some grocery shopping. What I liked the best and what made me head over there was because I acquired a lot of coupons that I needed to spend so I decided to go there and I am glad I did. This is a great place to shop.

In my quest to find the greatest burger in the…read moreHouston area, I ran across this apparently Asian-owned, hidden gem while searching through Yelp listings near my work. I've heard of burgers at car washes but never burgers at a grocery store/laundromat. Yep, they own the laundromat next door too. I came mainly for the burger and jalapeno poppers, but sadly they no longer have the latter, not enough people ordered them. I simply ordered a burger basket with onion rings instead of fries, big mistake! The onion ring breading was so rock hard, it hurts my mouth when I tried to bite into them. The burger weighs in at about 1/3 pound and is pressed very thin. It resembles and tastes nearly identical to Whataburger, with exception of one important thing, they use fresh ground beef here. No surprise a lot of Yelpers mention Whataburger in their reviews. My patty was cooked medium, but they don't ask how you want it cooked. The burger normally comes with toasted bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard and mayo. I added sliced, pickled jalapenos for free at the suggestion of the lady taking my order. I also added a 500 mL Mexican Coke and the total came out to about $7. They also use American cheese, so I skipped that. As compared to Hippo burger, which I had to pass just to get here, I like the buns here more, since they hold up well. However, Hippo has a more flavorful beef patty, and it's thick which is my preference. Average service when placing my order, but the man at the cash register was very friendly and seemed like one of the owners. They don't have anywhere to sit down inside, so its definitely to-go only. Next time I come back, I'll try a double burger with fries.

Been shopping at this Kroger for well over five years by now and I never really had many issues up…read moreuntil fairly recently with what I believe to be a change in management?? There used to be this one manager, I believe his name was Lonnie who ran the store - he was a decent manager. I haven't seen him in a while but I think he has been replaced by this guy called Butler I think. I had the misfortune of having to deal with this Mr. Butler when I was having an issue with the attitude of the people working in deli. They called Mr. Butler over to help assist me, and he was nothing but unprofessional and rude. He completely disregarded everything I said, looked at me like I was stupid, and when he walked away from me, I overheard him calling me "white trash" to a fellow employee. I knew exactly what he said, and I informed him that I was gonna call corporate for his unprofessional management skills and his racist remark - he just looked at me again like I was stupid and simply walked away. I really do wonder if Kroger actually trains their store managers properly, because I've never been treated in such a way all my years shopping there.

I thought I was waiting patiently for my medication but the pharmacy tech apparently wasn't having a great night. I seen her sorting things and I thought maybe it was more urgent than me waiting in line, but when the pharmacist asked her if she helped me she claimed "I ignored her," which was her reason for making me wait so long, when I didn't even know she spoke to me to begin with so I stood there sickly because she "assumed" I ignored her. Overall i would give the 'pharmacist' 5 stars I would because I appreciate him for his help. But the tech was unprofessional so zero stars to her!!!

Everything tasted well made, and the quality stood out immediately. It didn't have that typical "grab-and-go grocery store" taste at all. Service: Everything was smooth and easy. The area was clean, organized, and well stocked. Ambiance: At the end of the day it's still a supermarket, but HEB does a good job of making the food section feel fresh and inviting. The sushi setup looked well maintained and professional. Overall: For sushi coming from a grocery store, HEB seriously overdelivered. The sushi was excellent, and I'd definitely grab it again without hesitation.

Never thought I'd be shopping in a supermarket on vacation, but here I am in Humble on a Saturday…read moreafternoon in December 2025. My friend and her husband wanted to pick up a few things on the way home, so I just tagged along and thought maybe I could find stuff there too to snack on. With that said, we came to HEB and found out that they are a privately owned company grocery chain. Like Whole Foods but privately held. The store itself it's fairly large with practically everything you'd need on a daily basis. From produce to your every day basics, they try to carry anything and everything you need. I followed my friends around the store, aisle after aisle and found a few things to pick up while I was there. I probably spent about an hour or so looking around and thinking of what to buy. It's a typical supermarket with all the things that are available for you. They have what most people buy and what is in demand every single day. I even saw a poke station inside the store, near the back. I thought it was funny, that I am from Hawaii. That's cool that there's a Hawaii presence here at HEB. For the most part though, it was a nice and enjoyable experience at least for a supermarket goes. Everything was great, organized and optimized for everyone's needs and shopping experiences. For me though, I picked up a few bottles of unsweetened green tea for a nice price and a couple cartons of ice cream for later. If you're in the Humble area of Texas, consider coming to this grocery chain to get your favorites and daily essentials here. It's definitely recommended if you're looking for something new and want to be closer to home or where you are staying in Humble. The overall experience here at this HEB supermarket location was fairly good and nice. The check out service was typical and you got in and out without much effort. The selection of products can range between what the supermarket purchases, but I'm sure the prices are comparable to other places and people are always wanting a good deal for their purchases, myself included. The supermarket itself didn't seem like it had much air conditioning while I was there but it was decent. There were sales going on but for me, I chose the cheapest option and however amount I needed. It was a place where you don't have to stay long if you don't have to. Just buy what you need and get out. Although buying meat was a favorite pastime for my friend, it was nice to see her talk to the staff about various cuts of meat and whatnot. 99% of this store is self service, but if you do need help, there's staff here to assist you in finding what you need. Didn't need help this time, since I know what I wanted anyway. This HEB supermarket location is located in Humble, Texas. It's physically located at 7405 FM 1960 Road East. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, there's a generous amount of parking here for anyone and everyone who wishes to shop here on a daily basis. Unfortunately, there's no reliable or viable public transportation in and around Humble. Best bet would be to rent a car or ask a friend to drive you to and from HEB for daily necessities. No way around it actually. There's always uber or Lyft, but that can add up really quickly. HEB is a cool supermarket that has a bit of everything. While it may not fit everyone's budget, it provides many with the goods/services they need on a daily basis and it's nearby. For my experience though, it was nice because I got to shop with friends. If you're in the area, consider stopping on by. They'll be glad to have you. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! B

With more than 420 stores in Texas and Mexico, the H-E-B grocery company is the fifth largest (by…read morerevenue) privately owned company in the U.S. It was founded in 1905 in Kerryville, Texas and became H-E-B when a successful 2nd store was launched in Del Rio, Texas, using the initials of the owner, Howard Edward Butt. I've experienced their take home Texas barbeque a couple of times, and was excited when my brother let me know that his local H-E-B had a Bayou Boil House (not all do), serving up Louisiana Crawfish boils during the weekend. The stand is located at the front entrance of the store where the carts are located (similarly where a hot dog stand would be if in a Midwestern store). It is manned by two H-E-B employees, with coolers stocked with the already cooked seafood and vegetables. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived an hour before closing (closing at 6pm), they were out of crawfish (would have been $6.97 per pound). Instead we got shrimp (headless and deveined, shell-on for $12.97 per pound), with corn and potatoes ($2.97 per pound), sausage ($7.97 per pound). Snow Crab would have been $16.97, though I never think it is worth it. It is all mixed together in a large durable plastic bag. We brought it back home, and I ended up eating it for dinner and the following breakfast. Everything was really good: nothing was overcooked (i.e. mealy or mushy), the sausage was a good andouille, and the old bay type seasoning was just right. They could definitely elevate it up a couple of notches if replicating a Viet-Cajun sauce, that is very popular in the Houston area. But as it is, definitely a winner...along with their Texas brisket, makes me wish an H-E-B was visitable from where we live.
