HEB sushi honestly deserves credit because for supermarket sushi, it was excellent. I went in not expecting much since it's inside a grocery store, but it completely surprised me in a good way. Food: The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and way better than expected. Everything tasted well made, and the quality stood out immediately. It didn't have that typical "grab-and-go grocery store" taste at all. Service: Everything was smooth and easy. The area was clean, organized, and well stocked. Ambiance: At the end of the day it's still a supermarket, but HEB does a good job of making the food section feel fresh and inviting. The sushi setup looked well maintained and professional. Never thought I'd be shopping in a supermarket on vacation, but here I am in Humble on a Saturday afternoon in December 2025. My friend and her husband wanted to pick up a few things on the way home, so I just tagged along and thought maybe I could find stuff there too to snack on. With that said, we came to HEB and found out that they are a privately owned company grocery chain. Like Whole Foods but privately held. The store itself it's fairly large with practically everything you'd need on a daily basis. From produce to your every day basics, they try to carry anything and everything you need. I followed my friends around the store, aisle after aisle and found a few things to pick up while I was there. I probably spent about an hour or so looking around and thinking of what to buy. It's a typical supermarket with all the things that are available for you. They have what most people buy and what is in demand every single day. I even saw a poke station inside the store, near the back. I thought it was funny, that I am from Hawaii. That's cool that there's a Hawaii presence here at HEB. For the most part though, it was a nice and enjoyable experience at least for a supermarket goes. Everything was great, organized and optimized for everyone's needs and shopping experiences. For me though, I picked up a few bottles of unsweetened green tea for a nice price and a couple cartons of ice cream for later. If you're in the Humble area of Texas, consider coming to this grocery chain to get your favorites and daily essentials here. It's definitely recommended if you're looking for something new and want to be closer to home or where you are staying in Humble. The overall experience here at this HEB supermarket location was fairly good and nice. The check out service was typical and you got in and out without much effort. The selection of products can range between what the supermarket purchases, but I'm sure the prices are comparable to other places and people are always wanting a good deal for their purchases, myself included. The supermarket itself didn't seem like it had much air conditioning while I was there but it was decent. There were sales going on but for me, I chose the cheapest option and however amount I needed. It was a place where you don't have to stay long if you don't have to. Although buying meat was a favorite pastime for my friend, it was nice to see her talk to the staff about various cuts of meat and whatnot. 99% of this store is self service, but if you do need help, there's staff here to assist you in finding what you need. Didn't need help this time, since I know what I wanted anyway. This HEB supermarket location is located in Humble, Texas. It's physically located at 7405 FM 1960 Road East. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, there's a generous amount of parking here for anyone and everyone who wishes to shop here on a daily basis. Unfortunately, there's no reliable or viable public transportation in and around Humble. Best bet would be to rent a car or ask a friend to drive you to and from HEB for daily necessities. No way around it actually. There's always uber or Lyft, but that can add up really quickly. HEB is a cool supermarket that has a bit of everything. While it may not fit everyone's budget, it provides many with the goods/services they need on a daily basis and it's nearby. For my experience though, it was nice because I got to shop with friends. My cashier the checked me out was awesome. But before I checked out I had decided to go to the courtesy booth to get a money order. There was a person there so I stood back with my small basket of things waiting to be acknowledged to take care of what I needed. I stood there for about ten minutes. I was never asked if I needed anything. CODY keep looking at his cell phone looked at me about for to five times, went in the back room there about two to three times, comes out looks at me again then someone else employee walks up and another customer Cody starts helping them. This was right before 11:30 am this morning 2/1/2026 if management care to pull there cameras. This was totally disrespectful and not right of Cody. So I have now been to multiple H-E-Bs and what boggles my mind is how people are giving this amazing supermarket low ratings. I second this, on their behavior. The workers play while management is away. I've literally been using this H‑E‑B for cakes as well for years, since they opened. They turned me away after transferring me around. This has happened last year as well. It's time to get management involved. I thought hey let's give summer wood a shot. They did the same thing, it was a game to them. Then the second time I spoke with a guy name Chris. As I was placing the order about halfway through. My girlfriend at the time took me here when I came to visit. I was shocked with how packed it was and how rude some of the ppl were with each other while trying to maneuver around everyone. I thought it was so cute when she grabbed two of these juice bobble head drinks for her two kids and we had them drinking them to keep them occupied while we walked around shopping lol. I placed an order for delivery. My asthma was acting up so I wanted to minimize contact with people. I placed the order around 1pm. It was scheduled to arrive between 6:30 to 7:30 pm. They didn't arrive until 8:00 pm. That wasn't the best timing but since it's a large grocer and it was a last minute order. It was even more inconvenient when they were late. I was able to order tasty, fresh yogurt parfaits, freshly cut fruit, and refill a couple prescriptions. That is super convenient. If I come back into town again, I don't think I'd use their delivery option but I'd probably shop with them again. read more

I have been buying rotisserie chicken from Atascocita HEB for over 2 years because it's been delicious. it's easy for my work lunches. This month, it has gone to the dumps. The chicken is not seasoned. It only has the flavor on the skin. I am a great cook. Meat has to be seasoned (salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder), then 'bbq" or "orange pepper", etc. is added later. They are ONLY adding the sauce. YUCK. To be edible, I have to add marinade or my own sauce in order to eat it, or just trash it. Please season the chicken HEB. read more

I would like to take a minute to brag about the floral department at this location. Our daughter recently got married at The Barn at Four Pines Ranch and we decided to use H-E-B for the flowers. Tina did an awesome job with all the bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and flower halos. She chose just the right colors to blend well with the raspberry colored bridesmaids dresses. We also had a fishing theme so the boutonnieres had fishing lures incorporated with the flowers. They looked so beautiful! I can't say enough how beautiful they were! Before the Whole Food Market and Sprouts came about, the freshest produce tou could buy besides growing it yourself or going to the Farmer's market was HEB. Now do not be confused-HEB still has an awesome produce section for a more affordable price, plus, who can pass up the free samples from the cooking booth?! A sample of some delicious recipes does inspire the cook in you! But maybe youre not feeling like cooking? The delicatessen area here is elaborate with meals to go and cook and serve entrees. Variety of selections and pretty nice portion to boot. Additionally the meal deals are a great time and money saver for families. Prices at HEB can be give or take depending on what you buy, but you'll find that at any store. Best part--Usually alot of registers open at this grocery store. Those of us who have done any travel at all know that these HEB locations are special. Even more special than other HEBs. Ever been to the Livingston, Cleveland or huntsville heb? I've had friends come in on holiday and specifically ask to go to HEB. Amazed and shocked at the number of choices we take for granted. Fresh seafood? Of course! Fresh fruit and vegetables? Of course. Aged Kobe beef? Of course they have it. These three HEB locations are a little slice of heaven. After the flood my wife and I considered a move to the woodlands. This review is solely for the pharmacy department. I pulled up to the drive thru and there was one car ahead of me. Who knows how long she had already been there by the time I pulled up. After about 10 mins I stuck my head out the window and asked if they had even greeted her yet and she said no. Eventually she grew impatient (as was I) and she drove off. No sooner than she drove off did a lady came to the window and told me hastily she would be right with me. I'm assuming the woman who had just pulled away noticed somebody finally decided to do their job and she got back in line behind me. I completely understand that things get busy, however, all it would have taken was someone to say "We apologize for the wait and we'll be with you as soon as we can." It is literally that simple. As customers, all we want is for our presence to simply be acknowledged so that we know we aren't sitting there wasting our time. The woman who helped me did not provide ANY pleasantries when she helped me. No "hi how are you doing" or "sorry for the wait, what can I do for you," NOTHING. She told me my total, took my card and said "I just need a signature" and that was IT. Even after I signed and said thank you, she said NOTHING. I didn't catch her name, but it happened just now 8/29 at approximately 1:35pm. She was white, young, pretty with brown hair pulled back in a low ponytail. Just bc it's a pharmacy doesn't mean basic customer service doesn't apply. A smile and an apology when the wait time is excessive goes a long way. This was my first time Jaime HEB pharmacy, and, unfortunately first impressions go along way, so I'll be switching my scripts back to CVS. Times are tough and the world is bat sh*t crazy. This location welcomed Kingwood residents with open arms when our location was closed due to Hurricane Harvey flooding. Expect high traffic and crowds on the weekends, and the parking can be a little difficult but that isn't the store's fault. There are always helpful people around - at the pharmacy, on the store floor, at the registers, you name it. We go to HEB for the best fish around, and are frequent customers of theirs every weekend. WTF?!? HEB as remodeled the store and not for the better. Gone is the nice area with prepared foods and the snack/salad bar. WE LOVED THAT SALAD BAR and used it at least twice a week. Now, all the supplements and such are up front, right as you walk in. Convenient if you have a vitamin crisis, but annoying if you loved the salad bar and coffee and Icees. Next, the tortilla ladies are stuffed into the bakery. Why? Because the prepared foods are now stuffed in with the deli ladies. At least I can still get a roast chicken. Thank the food gods. I'll skip and ailse by aisle analysis, but suffice it to say that the store is completely rearranged and we can't find anything. Cat food is in the back now, dairy has been moved around, cheese is not where it used to be. What were they thinking? Further more, the feel of the store has been cheapened. It's an indefinable thing, but the store is feeling more like one of those rancid HEB Pantry stores, not one of the nicest stores I've ever shopped. And NOW you've stopped stocking Fage 2% yogurt in anything but cherry and honey flavors, but have tons of that putrid 0% stuff in guava flavor. Guava? Really? Whenever I am back in Texas and make a pilgrimage to the local HEB. This one is extremely clean, well stocked, and has very friendly staff. I was pleased to find that all of my traditional favorites, especially the enchilada sauces, are all in stock. They have all of my favorite H-E-B sausages as well. The thing that I found for the first time or H-E-B beef jerky packages. I stocked up on these as that is something that everybody in my office back in Florida is always asking me for. The HEB in Atascocita is outstanding. I used to think all grocery stores were the same. However time and time again they've proven to be different. I lived for 20 years in Kingwood yet drove right past the local stores to shop here. The major differences are: 1- everyday low prices without depending on loyalty card deals. 2- The fish and seafood are the freshest in area without exception. It's amazing to smell fish and all you detect is the smell of the sea! I observed them removing a large tray of lobster tails because they exceeded their own expiration date. 3- They have more Texas grown products. They also offer wild caught Gulf Coast shrimp. 4- Much the way they did with seafood you will not find expired products anywhere in store. 5- Finally during times of natural disaster they are helpful and respectful. Others take a siege mentality with armed guards and offensive herding of their customers. read more

During Covid and the famous freeze, HEB remained consistent for its customers and my family. I was able to find Lysol, bleach, and other products that have been in shortage since March 2020. I can feel confident that if I make a grocery list before shopping, I will be able to find everything I need at a low price. I admire the fact that HEB brand is authentic and efficient in quality; unlike other stores with their generic versions. In fact, I prefer HEB's brand because it taste fresh and homemade. It has been a trying year and living out of the norm has been a weight on everyone's emotional health, but when I walk into an HEB store I the world feels normal again. The employees are friendly and it has been easy to find assistance when needed inside of any of their locations. Other competitor brands have poor customer service and looking for an employee for assistance is always almost impossible. I will continue to be an HEB customer because I know that when I spend money inside of their store, I have not made a bad decision. With so many small businesses placing their products on the shelves at HEB, I can feel content knowing that I am contributing to the financial crisis during the Pandemic. I recently discovered HEB makes their own tortilla chips and they come in two flavors; Chilli Lime and original salted. The HEB chips are amazing with any fresh HEB salsa or guac dip. They also released a new ready meal with three varieties to choose from; Chicken Pesto, Teriyaki Stir Fry, or Chipotle Lime. These ready meals come with all ingredients needed to make a quick meal in 5 minutes and can serve two depending how much protein you add into the dish. With a busy day-to-day schedule, this has made bringing dinner to the table easy and convenient for my family. During the freeze, HEB got rid of all meats and products that would cause any harm to its customers and offered things that were safe for consumption. I felt confident when shopping after the freeze that the products available were in the best interest of the customer and felt that they stocked their shelves back quickly to satisfy the customer. When my family and I had COVID, the delivery option that HEB offered made it effortless to maintain my household while quarantining. Most apps charged and arm and a leg to have delivery and while being out of work due to illness can cause a financial strain, HEB made it affordable to receive the same quality of products. Almost never have I had to get anything substituted or been told that a product was unavailable. HEB's mask policy even after the Texas lift shows there true compassion for their customer and gives me the comfortability I need to be able to maintain my household. There are several grocery stores just in a 2-mile radius along with little specialty shops but I always go to HEB have everything I need great prices always parking I can always catch a sale and the seafood selection is really good. Because the area somewhat diverse they have a more diverse selection of Asian and Latin American food as well as European and middle-eastern.
