Why review an H-E-B? I can't speak to the other reviews, but I immediate came to review THIS H-E-B because of their home decor section! I've yet to find an HEB with a home decor section (well until today that is)! Apart from the ability to purchase side tables and pillows, I love that this location neighbors The Vintage. Craving cookies, visit Kimmys next door. Looking for a banh mi, they've got that too. Everything from beer, to Mediterranean food to Starbucks is within a two minute car ride. As far as the interior, everything else about this location is pretty standard. They carry the famous HEB quick meals and sides, produce, toiletries, wine, snacks and the like. A fairly popular location, they're always crowded when I visit, but personally, I'm willing to navigate the crowds given the benefits. If it's your first time visiting an H-E-B, this one is a great place to start. read more

I've loved HEB since I was young in Carrizo Springs TX, then College in San Antonio. I was born in Houston but always knew HTX didn't have a grocery store that could come close to HEB. Now they rule the market in HTX and so happy they do. Of course I've had a few issues as with any large grocery store but not much really. Tonight I brought home some of their amazing Sushi...dang it's really good. Keep it up HEB! read more

Oh my gosh, this HEB is so huge! I've been in several HEBs before because I lived in Austin, Texas, for several years before moving to California, but I don't believe at the time I was there, they had a big one like this one. I like how they section the areas, but each area is designed to be an open floor plan like the meat department; it's huge. It's more than just meat. It's the sushi, salads, cheese, premade meals, freshly made bread, and rolls. Then the store aisle starts from one end of store and expands to the other end, which leads to the personal items like shampoo and all those things. I also like how the staff walks around assisting customers with where to go. They show you instead of pointing to the area. It's going to be hard to leave Houston in a year! read more

H-E-B has been my go-to grocery store for years, but I'm extremely disappointed they do not accept the UnitedHealthcare Complete Care OTC and Healthy Food benefit card. This program helps seniors and others on fixed incomes access basic health items and nutritious foods. Other stores, like Kroger, do accept it--and I've had to take my shopping there as a result. I hope H-E-B reconsiders this decision, because I would consider returning if they began accepting this important benefit. read more

This is the tale of two HEB's. One the parking lot. And two, the store. The parking lot. Jesus TF Christ, this is a cluster. Just an absolute cluster. They're undergoing construction right now, so I think this is a temporary thing. But they have all of 4 handicapped spots but 10+ curbside spots. It really sucks. I have the blue placard of misfortune, and this just isn't acceptable. Now to the store; Store is brilliant. Beautiful. Organized. Well paid out. Clean! They have this Texas bbq thing on the side of it that I am trying tomorrow (and really excited to try) so I will be back. I am looking forward to coming back after the construction is completed but for right now it's nice inside but they've dropped the ball on the outside. read more

This store is my preferred store for groceries. The produce is usually very fresh and the store is usually very clean. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the parking lot could use some work. Parking is always hard to find whenever I have gone to the store. However, aside from that it is an awesome place to shop. read more

I shop here a few times a week. It's my favorite HEB in the area, although unfortunately every now and then I have to drive to HEB Tomball just because this HEB just doesn't carry certain meat products. I think the demographic they cater to at this HEB is a little higher class, and therefore they don't carry the more "confusing" cuts of meat. Product can be hit or miss. Generally OK, but keeping the shelves stocked seems to be a challenge, every now and then you'll find yourself looking at empty shelves -- and they don't seem to restock towards the end of the day. Meat section generally good, but I've found expired meat mixed in with unexpired meat, so always pay attention to the label. They can and will miss removing some meat, especially with customers randomly dropping meat in the wrong pile after they change their mind. Now the things that really bother me: 1. The curbside pickup. Really HEB, why did you have to put the curbside pickup in front? Couldn't you put it on the side or in back, like other HEBs? All these people who can't get their large derrieres into stores anymore are blocking traffic and causing stress for everyone else, not to mention the kids running back and forth through traffic with carts for the pickup area. 2. Dairy area - produce is great, but quite a few times I've gone to pick up some random nut milk either to find that it's out and has not been restocked, or that it's so far in that it's unreachable. Ya'll try to stretch 3 ft for milk carton on the bottom shelf, and tell me how it is. It's be nice if the guys on the other side of the refrigerator would push product forward periodically. 3. Again on the outside - large people in large cars parking in front of the entrance and forcing people to go around them because they can't be bothered to find a parking sport. Some will even leave their cars unattended, blocking traffic, to go into some of the smaller stores. Quality of people going down. read more

This HEB is always crowded! It has fresh produce and good selection of organic fruits and veggies. Awesome bakery and deli sections! They make fresh tortilla daily. Fresh-squeezed orange juice is sweet and refreshing. On weekends, there's usually multiple food/alcohol tastings, along with cooking corner and live demo. Employees are friendly and helpful. Their weekly ads have great deals every week. Love that we don't need a member card for the savings. They also have manufacturer coupons for many items. Checkout lines are plentiful and fast. Plenty of self checkout kiosks for quick purchases under 15 items. Aside from full parking lot and always being crowded, no complaints or negative visits, yet. read more

By far the best HEB. There was staff members standing in isles with large signs "ask me if you need help" customer service was spectacular. Samples were everywhere to pre taste some food like Costco does! Very very clean. And my biggest question is this a new location??? Every single person was so happy full of life like it was their first day lol! Happy full of life just a wonderful place. As for stocked they had soooo much more than any other HEB I've been too!!! read more

Ok ok. Yes there's pretty much an HEB all over the place these days. Yes, they're pretty much all the same, so it's the little things that are going to make a difference. Well at least IMO. Yes, this location tends to get a little crowded. It's right off the 249 & Louetta exit; Vintage Park. They keep things stocked, clean & somewhat in order. Side note: STOP blaming retailers for other customer's who let their kids to climb all over shelves, play in produce, open items & wreck the place! I see it here & other stores all the time & it's obnoxious as hell. And YES I'm a mom so don't go there... But I digress :-) Never had an issue with the pharmacy, gas station or curbside services the few times I've used them. Ordered a few cakes & cupcakes from bakery & they were ready on time & as requested. Nice & tasty. The prepped meals I've had have been fresh. Same goes for the sushi counter. Thanks to silly Covarina, the olive bar hasn't come back, but here they keep a good stash of pre-filled containers of the fresh mixes. Cheeses galore! I need to get his name, but there's a taller, medium built guy that works the wine area. YOU FREAKIN ROCK!! This is about the only other spot I get my wine besides Total Wine. They've got just about any option you can think of. Good selection of standard & craft beers too. What's even better is they don't have a ridiculous mark up on prices. The guy I'm talking about is very helpful in describing profiles, pairings & suggestions. This location has a sample stand too. I've always had great customer service. In fact this is probably why I like this location so much. Even on busy Saturday's the cashiers, sample givers & promo folks are very nice. If you're not from Texas, you wouldn't know. H-E-B is a staple in these areas. They cater each store to the local area. They say they go door to door for market research before opening a store to ensure they're meeting the needs of the community. They also sponsor pretty much everything local. They pay their staff well. If you've been in one you know they have fresh bread, seafood, produce meats etc. It gets quite crowded during peak. They have a better selection than any other grocery. Their prices aren't always the lowest, but they tend to be competitive more often than not. read more

This is my primary grocery store and I really enjoy shopping here. The store does have times of being pretty busy and I usually shop Sunday but the lines aren't generally that bad lol. They carry a varying enough amount of products including many local brands. People are very helpful in the store. The selection of produce, seafood, and meats are pretty fresh. The prices throughout the store stay ok par with the competition and often there are coupons located on many aisles. A short definition of "Racial Profiling" is as follows: the use of ethnicity as grounds for suspecting someone of having committed an offense; however, racial profiling isn't limited only to an individual's ethnicity, but can also be based on an individual's religion or national origin. I begin with this definition because that is Exactly what happened to me at this HEB location. I did "stand my ground," spoke with three managers (Meagn - who actually exacerbated the problem; and later with John and Jason - who both actually seriously attempted to address the offense). I'll try to stick with the facts, as this was a deeply personal, troubling event for me, especially considering our current climate in which we unfortunately are witnessing a devolution into systemic racism. I travelled to Houston to help some friends caring for their sick child. Before going to my friends' home, I stopped off at HEB in order to purchase food, snacks, etc. I always take reusable bags into grocery stores. Many people do the same and customers of this store are no different. Unbeknownst to me, a "security worker" {yeah, using the term 'security' Very loosely}, decided that since I had recyclable bags, I must be stealing. .......just ME.....none of the other folks shopping with reusable bags......JUST ME.... After checking out my items at a manned cash register and having my items bagged by that cashier ......yeah, I went through a regular check out process.....I walked out the store and .... As soon as I got to the parking lot, a young HEB worker named Victor stopped me in the lot, and asked to check my receipt and my bag. I was shocked and insulted! I repeatedly asked him why, and he told me, "HEB has a policy of randomly checking receipts and bags of shoppers." Infuriated, but still remaining calm I demanded to see his manager, and took a picture of him. Victor immediately backed down and said, "that's OK, never mind." I again demanded to see his manager. Victor walked off without a word and I followed. About ten minutes later, Meagan (some level of "manager") appeared from a hall of offices and asked me what I needed. I'm sure Victor had already filled her in, but I did so again. I wanted a FULL apology from her, Victor, and HEB. What I got from Meagan was the "run around." She told me, "HEB has a policy of randomly checking receipts and bags of shoppers." Meagan also added that HEB has "the Right do this." It was difficult, but I kept my cool. I told her that she was sadly mistaken about this and again demanded my apologies. I even showed her the still working cashier whose lane I had gone through, but she did not care. We went in debate circles. Meagan offered nothing but lies. I took a picture of her, which is my right to do so. {FYI, if you are in a conversation with someone, you do have the right to take a picture of that person. You may or may not have the right to post that picture.} As soon as I took the picture, Meagan lost her cool and began yelling that I had no right to do so. At no point, did I yell back. She walked off and about ten minutes later Jason and John (managers above Meagan's level) walked up. Jason, John, and I actually had a discussion about the entire incident. They explained that HEB and its employees do NOT have "the right" to stop anybody and search bags, and that Victor, an HEB employee should never have done this, and that Meagan was supposed to attempt to reduce the intensity of the incident, not make it worse. And yes, I showed Jason and John my pics of Victor and Meagan. Jason and John reimbursed me for my purchases. We talked at length about the incident, how it impacted me personally, and how I now have an Extremely negative view of HEB. By the way HEB, contracts with a "security" company that sends plains clothes people to the store. I complained via social media and was told to call the HEB complaint hotline, which had Jason call me back the next day. Jason said that he told the "security" company that he no longer wanted that particular plain clothes person working in his store, and that Meagan and Victor were receiving additional training. In a nutshell, I got Lots of excuses for Victor's and Meagan's lack of customer service and common sense, as well as their crude, disgusting behavior. I told All of them that this was profiling at its ugliest! An apology and a reimbursement don't fix the problem. This store has Serious issues. A cliché, but a true one - You're either part of the problem or part of the solution -- in today's climate of factless, blind, sheeple hate, HEB is definitely part of the problem --- time to clean up your act. read more

My favorite local grocery store! I was a little irritated that they decided to remodel and relocate some things as I was used to a certain way....and I am always upset they discontinued the Classic Chicken Salad with the celary....that was my favorite,and to be honest,kinda dumb to get rid of. It was also hella dumb to get rid of the Beer Growler station. I dont understand why that was taken out? There was always people at the bar buying and sampling and my boyfriend LOVED to buy from there. He would refill his growlers and buy a sample 6 pack.... I guess it is okay because the seasonal Pumpkin Creme soda makes up for lack of my classic chicken salad... Since my significant other and I are regulars here,we even made a few friends at the store and they're always friendly to chat with when we do our weekly grocery trip. But on a more important note...SHOUT OUT TO CASHIER AALIYAH FOR ALWAYS BAGGING HOW WE WANT,YOU'RE THE BEST,BBY!!! Aaliyah always helps us by putting MORE THAN ONE item in the reusable bags we bring and she always puts like items together. Meats in one isulated zipper bag, dairy and frozen in the other insulated zipper bags... We just wish other cashiers and baggers would do the same. One bag can hold more than one item. It only creates unnecessary extra bags and makes it harder to go up the apartment stairs. And what was even the point if we have to rebag once we are outside at the car? That's really my only wish. There has been a noticeable decline in quality of produce and other items in the past year or two. Currently everything has been rearranged in the store costing more time in finding items. This is periodically done in order to cause customers to browse more and purchase more items they didn't come for thus increasing profits. However it costs more in time and wastes valuable life in searching for items that have been moved. It also wastes the time of employees working the floor since they get stopped and asked where items are now located. This equals a waste in time of customers and a waste in time and costs of employees who cannot work as efficiently since items have been relocated. read more

So this review is for the corporate office. I called them almost 4 weeks ago to tell them about the hair that was in my frozen spinach. I sent them the package information and all they asked me to send. I was told that someone would reach out to me and they never did. With Covid and many other diseases going on it is very disgusting to pull hair out of your mouth from food. I have called them multiple times since then and have been promised that my call would be returned and still not one call. Watch your prepackaged foods. read more

H-E-B is my favorite grocery shopping experience in Spring, TX. The place is huge and has everything you could possible want. It recently went through a renovation in the baking, seafood and adult beverage areas. Love the changes!!! Very open and easy to maneuver. I especially enjoy their sushi. They have sushi rolls, sashimi, specialty rolls, poke bowls and several sides such as pot stickers and seaweed salad. Today for lunch I picked up a tuna roll with spicy dust and pork potstickers. Lol This one in particular is in a very convenient location on 249 and Louetta right near the highway and also near the Vintage Park Shopping and restaurant center. Every thing from food and fresh produce to having custom butchery done, hatch chili events, to the bakery and even all of the Whataburger condiments and more, HEB has you covered. You will always have a great shopping experience when you are here! Please....please....please start putting HEBs in the DFW area. I live in Arlington and the closest one is in Burleson or Ennis......This Texas staple will do exceptionally well here and would be my preferred store to shop at vs Kroger and or Walmart. read more

I went to the store for some gluten free buns for my families dinner. I walked around for 10 minutes trying to find them. Found nothing. Decided to ask an employee. After 5 employees later nobody knows where the buns are. I decided to ask an employee on a higher level. Told me they were on the back wall. Nothing. All I needed were some gluten free buns for my dad for dinner. Is it this complicated? Do not recommend shopping here. Bad employees. No food. All I needed was some buns. Now I have no food for my dad to eat for dinner. Very highly encourage a different store. Never coming back. read more

This is for HEB pharmacy. I went for vaccinations there and I will be honest, I HAVE NEDLES, I am a big chicken and I had to get 4 (only got 3, I was too scared) . Well with that said, I came in to get them done, and let me tell you 1. They were super friendly and patient with me, loved it, 2. I called so many places to check the prices and HEB was the one that had the best prices and 3. The guy that gave them to me was super careful and he made them some how painless, or as painless as it can get, I usually get bruises after getting vaccinated but this time I got no bruises !!! I will definitely be coming back to them read more

My husband and I always have our grocery delivered by H‑E‑B/Favor for the past 2 years but lately now the service has gotten worse...Every order we get every weekend has stuff missing (bottle waters) or produce already bad. We'd rather buy from Whole Foods even though they're expensive at least they take their time in making sure everything's there. We've always given decent tips. Let me first start by asking, have you tried their guacamole? It will CHANGE YOUR LIFE. Maybe I'm partial, but I feel like this Vintage H-E-B is the king of all grocery stores. The selection is always fresh, and endless in variation. Everyone in every department is always there to help, and the lady that does the cooking connection demos is AWESOME! I get so excited to check out all the new and specialty items that she is cooking with, and the recipes are always super easy and on the most convenient little cards you can take with you. Curbside is the biggest Godsend, because it makes shopping literally painless. You don't even have to get out of the car...you order online, they pick it all up, and literally put it all in your car for you...and for only $5 more than I would have paid to do it myself. WHAT?! They even give my dog treats when I bring her along for the pick up!! I love this H-E-B!! read more

I love this HEB! Super easy to find, it's located right off of 249 on your way to Tomball. It's crowded majority of the times, but as long as you're willing to walk, it's fine. I've never stood in line for long here, they always have plenty of cashiers. Plenty of employees inside stocking and able to answer questions. I came by today and noticed all of their Valentine's Day section. I LOVE!!! So many pretty flowers and so many chocolate goodies. I bought a miniature pink orchid for $6. SO cute. Trader Joe's always has orchids, but I didn't want anything too big. I love that they offer their brother Central Market's products here too - love their italian sparkling water! They often have sampling tables inside and there were makeup ladies when we first walked in. Not sure what they were offering, but I'm sure they were selling some make up! We've bought some locally made popcorn at a booth outside during the summertime. SO good - I love mom & pops stores! read more

Lastnight we got into town pretty late and I decided to run here to get a few things. At check out I added two bags of ice. I reached for my keys in my purse and couldn't find them... distracted by that I forgot my ice but I didn't realize I forgot it until I got home. I called and spoke with Luke and asked if I could go the next day (today) and get my ice I paid for. He said as long as I had my receipt it was ok. I went up there today and asked for a manager. An Asian guy, no name tag and glasses came up to me and asked how he could help. Told him what happened and showed him my receipt. He proceeded to tell me there was no Luke that is a manager there or anyone that worked by that name last night. He then told me I could not get my ice cause "people lie all the time and there was no way to prove I didn't get it last night" unless he looked at the cameras.. I said ok I will wait, let's look at them. He told me he couldn't at the moment cause he had a "shift change" to take of... So I didn't get my ice or my money back and I had to go spend more money buying ice at another store. I have a new view of H‑E‑B and it's because of him. H‑E‑B was my store, the place that could do no wrong. Now it's just another store that treats their long time customers like dirt. read more

My wife and I went to dinner after work, and since we needed a prime rib for this week, we went to Vintage Park thinking we could hit this nice heb and get our prime rib after dinner. We walked in the heb after a nice dinner about 7:50 pm. We immediately noticed the meat market was dark and the shelves were mostly empty. I walked around looking for prime rib and couldn't find any, so I asked a young man in the meat area if he knew if there was prime rib. He said I'm the cleaning guy. "I have no idea." We then went to the front and asked for a manager. They called for help in the meat market and told us to go wait there, which we did for 15 minutes. Then we walked back up front and asked again for a manager. They found a gentleman who said he was the assistant manager and told us they close the meat market at 730 and he is not allowed to go in the freezer to see if they had prime rib. I can't tell you how disappointed I am in an iconic brand that has always excelled at customer service is now like every other business and providing terrible customer service and expecting us to take it. Open until 11 but your meat market is unsatffed at 730 is completely unacceptable. And not empowering your night managers to help customers just demonstrates how little this organization cares about its customers. I have always used Pete's fine meats for special occasions and bought the majority of protein from heb, but Pete's will now get all my business. Stay away from this store and let's speak to them with our wallets that we won't accept this bs level of service. read more
