Decided to stop for a sweet treat today while out shopping today. Once we arrived, we decided to have lunch and believe me Dolce Caffe' did not disappoint. It's a quaint cafe with outdoor patio seating. Walking in you notice how clean it is and a nice display of their delicious pastries. We were immediately greeted and acknowledged by one of the owners. We decided to sit out on the patio to enjoy the ambiance of being in an outdoor cafe! Our lunch and beverages were delivered within minutes. We each ordered something different so we could share. I had planned on bringing home half of my croissant sandwich, but it was so delicious and light, I cleaned my plate. Same with my lunch companions. We then decided to have our sweet treat and were happy we did. We shared the pistachio cake, ricotta cannoli, and lemon ricotta cookies. Everything was so tasty we could not decide which was better, they each were delicious. We all decided we will put this on the list of favorites for breakfast, lunch, and hopefully be able to catch their dinner specials when available. They have special dinner nights you have to call to find out about, seating is limited. Again, service was excellent, atmosphere was great! What the new owners have done with this place is outstanding! They still have some of the old favorites, but a bunch of new savory items that I literally buy weekly. I have not had a bad selection yet, the staff is always friendly, and always remembers our names. My son insists on visiting for a treat on the way to or from school at least once a week l minimum. We are always bummed when we stop by on Monday morning and forget that's the one day their not open. Be sure to branch out and try their savory pastries for a nice snack or lunch. Don't be scared to ask them for their lasagna or they're shrimp & salmon pastry. Sooo tasty! I forget the Italian names for all of it but it's all good. Dolce Caffe is a hidden gem tucked away at the Mayberry shopping center/plaza. Walking in, you are immediately greeted with a warm and genuine welcome. My first visit I was personally greeted by the owners, a lovely couple. Their pastries are to die for and their coffee is yummy. We ordered the pinwheel fruit, wild berry Italian cake, ricottas tart, espresso and fig cookie, pistachio and ricotta cake, cappuccino, hot chocolate. EVERYTHING was deliciously made and you can taste the love that was put into it. For those who enjoy AUTHENTIC European pastries, you'll recognize the flavors actually come from the fruits and cheese, not the overwhelmingly sweet sugars like American desserts. That's because their flour comes from Italy! Melissa, Claudio, and ?Guissepa? Sure made us feel like home during our visit. We cannot wait to return and try their other items. Locally owned and operated. That's a major plus. I got in late in the afternoon so they already sold out their Croissants but managed easily with another bread for my tuna sandwich. Tasty. Had their donut. Excellent. They had cookies, various cakes and house made gelato. Didn't try those yet. Damn doctors and their orders of cutting back on sugar! Had a bottled drink. Had less sugar than a standard can of soda. Too hot for an espresso drink. I'll try again later. Indoor seating is limited, they have a small outdoor patio by their front doors and parking lot is small. Just be cautious if you are brining a group to enjoy this. I'm happy to find this cafe but there was a local news article recently about this place so don't be surprised hearing people talk about finding this place. You walk in and feel like part of the family! Everyone was so nice and helpful and you can tell how much passion they have for their cooking and baking! One of my new favorite places. We got the spaghetti, and a couple different pastries! Apple danish was delicious and we got to sample their gelato, I will be getting an entire cup of the hazelnut next time! Decided to stop by and grab a quick bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised and the actual quality of food that we received. Large bakery items for roughly $5 was not a bad deal. The guy behind the service counter was very nice and answered all my questions. There are places to eat and sit but not many. Side note if you plan on paying for your food with credit they will charge a small service fee. So bring cash or use debit. read more

It was dry and we felt like maybe it was not baked fresh. We thought this was the Austrian bakery, which was fabulous. Best pastries in Reno / Sparks . The Scacciata is an Italian savory pastry and extremely delicious. The new management have kept some of the Austrian favorites from the previous owner like Goulash and sandwiches. Most of pastries now have an Italian flair to them and in my opinion are even better now. And not overpriced . Visited for lunch today. The food case had only a few cookies, a few slices of blueberry lemon loaf, macaroons and a few other pastries that were unidentifiable. There was nothing on their menu about the pastries, either. The layout is cramped, with only a few inside tables, and poorly designed flow. I got a slice of blueberry lemon loaf. It was tasteless. My husband also got a slice of blueberry lemon loaf and had an allergic reaction to It. Unfortunately we don't know was was in it -- its not on their menu so no idea of any potential allergens.
