Sometimes it can get crowded and annoying and difficult to go into for starters and the bouncers can be tough and difficult. I'm guessing it's probably because they deal with a lot of difficulties. Not particularly somewhere I would frequent just because this is not really my style. But when you do get it, i like their music, drinks and food.

I have had the Doheny Room bookmarked for quite some time, so I'm glad I was finally able to check it out. My friend and I made a dinner reservation for 7pm on a Saturday night, right when the restaurant/lounge opened. We were some of the 1st patrons to arrive, so I was able to really see the space. Doheny Room has a tropical theme and lots of pink/magenta/purple lighting. The music had a nice range from classic oldies to electronic. Dinner seating is spacious around the perimeter of the main dining room downstairs with a bar in the middle. Upstairs is more lounge seating and another bar. The staff were all young and friendly - they definitely seemed relatable and truly happy to be there and connect with us! My friend and I started off with some cocktails, and I recommend the Plunkett signature vodka-based cocktail. It kind of tasted like pink lemonade! The dishes at Doheny Room are meant to be shared, so my friend and I shared a few of their popular dishes including the crispy Brussels sprouts, Greek chicken meatballs, and the vegan mango and kale sushi. We finished our meal with the baked-to-order apple tart, which is warm, flaky, and so yummy, especially with the vanilla gelato on top. Overall, we had a wonderful evening at Doheny Room! I would definitely like to return to check out late-night festivities, when they have a DJ and dancing!

I was skeptical because of the previous reviews, but to my surprise, it was wonderful!!! They recently changed the chef and menu and everything was delicious!! Our favorite was the toro tartare!! The service was more than 5 stars!! They were quick with our drinks and food and always refilling our waters and drinks without us asking. They even changed our napkins and plates throughout our meal. The waiter was very informative about the menu too! The ambiance was cute! Great date night!

Me and a couple of my girlfriends came here for the club part of the Doheny Room. We were blessed to slide right in because we got ahold of the promoter Ryan! Thanks to Ryan for that easy pass. The club is very small and everyone is stuck together like paper and glue. There wasn't much room to dance, walk or do anything. Other than that the music was popping and lively!

AMBIANCE Situated in the beautiful West Hollywood. Valet parking available $10. Street parking also available but difficult. 2 story restaurant - FIRST FLOOR: a full bar centered in the middle of the room. modern decorated with beautiful art wall pieces, booths available - SECOND FLOOR: SEATING HERE STARTS AT 8PM. full bar as well up here. all booths on the second floor. LOVE THE SECOND FLOOR. wall decal is gorgeous with green palm trees. adds a wonderful lively vibe. Second floor turns into a nightlife at 10:30pm SERVICE Horrible upon entering. My best friend chose this place to celebrate the first of many of my birthday celebrations for February. We checked in with the hostess at 730pm and requested to be seated on the second floor. Second floor seating not available until 8pm so we hung out at the bar to kill time. WOMAN BARTENDER was rude AF. we were trying to catch her attention and she can tell that we were patiently staring at her waiting to order but yet she decides consciously not to pay attention to us. then she turns to the guy and says UGH CAN YOU TAKE CARE OF THESE 2. GUY BARTENDER was cool. super nice. waiting for our table, a chef decides to give us free shots through the restaurant manager "Mark". tried to conversate with Mark and he was rude too & completely blew me off. Relax, I was just being really friendly we got our bill and set it on the corner of the bar. but there was a salty blonder waitress there so my best friend moved the bill out of her way and said "oh sorry". this waitress didn't even acknowledge her and gave her the saltiest look. so my friend says OKKK ACTUALLY I'M NOT SORRY. this impolite waitress turns and says "i wasn't being rude, you guys got free shots and i'm just in my zone" then cries to her manager Mark who condones her rude behavior and gives her a hug BAHAHAHAHHAHAHA really? first off, YOU didn't give us free shots and second of all, what does our free shots have anything to do with your offensively impolite, ill-mannered behavior? why don't you go and get more hugs to assure yourself of your selfworth. this girl does not have any business in customer service. why is she a server. we let it go because i wasn't trying to kill my birthday night We get seated exactly at 8pm by a super nice hostess Ella who turned our night around with a breath of fresh air of nothing but kindness and smiling face. Our server Kristen was the shit. She was so attentive and so friendly. Tipped her way beyond what we were supposed to because i just loved that she made our night so much better. FOOD: so bomb. too bad i won't return VEGETABLE SUSHI - $12 AVOCADO & BEET: Sprouts, Shiso, Soy Reduction, Crispy Wild Rice -- WOWOWOWOWOW. this was a different take on sushi and so surprisingly delicious. $16 ALL AMERICAN SLIDER: Mustard Onions, Aged Cheddar, Special Sauce. mmm, NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THIS. i can do without this next time ******* my absolute favorite ******* $22 LOBSTER POUTINE: Served on a hot skillet with Cheese Curd, Gravy Sauce, Poached Lobster. BEYOND AMAZING. so speechless. the fries were cooked the right way, my lobster so tender and the gravy boasts with flavor. *MUST HAVE!!!! the service on the first floor needs an attitude check but this place is beautiful and the food was a great surprise.

Love the food and ambiance. Went upstairs to dance when it opened up and it was very fun. Will definitely return.

Ask the Community - Doheny Room

Is there a cover fee for friday nights and dress code for the club?

No, there is no cover. Doorman discretion or table service only! Fashionable attire. Contact zaki.dean@sbe.com for details

What is the music vibe on Friday/Saturday?

Very upbeat and a mix of music by the DJ. Dancing starts at 10:30pm which is quiet at first and towards the end of he night it's packed.

Is there a guest list for Saturday nights?

Hii Is there a guest list for Wednesdays? Me +3 please!

Your best bet is to call and make a reservation for a table (whether it's for dinner or bottle service, etc)!

18+ or 21+?

I think it's open to all for dinner service, but for late-night it's 21+ because it becomes more of a club/lounge atmosphere with a bouncer, DJ, bottle service, etc. I highly recommend it for dinner though!!

The presentation alone was impressive when it came to the table, but more importantly, it was cooked beautifully juicy, tender, perfectly charred on the outside, and packed with flavor. Definitely made for sharing. We paired it with the street corn, which was loaded with seasoning, cheese, and just the right amount of spice. It was the perfect side to balance out such a rich steak. The Hideaway also nails the atmosphere. It's intimate, stylish, a little sexy, and feels tucked away from everything even though you're right in Beverly Hills. The whole place makes dinner feel like an experience. Great steak, great sides, beautiful setting, and a really fun night out. Definitely 5 stars for me.

When I approached the restaurant's hostess stand there was nobody there so I just waited patiently for a few moments for someone to come. A young lady entered behind me and walked past the hostess stand carrying a cake and I assumed that she was maybe already inside. But no, she walked past me and grabbed the hostess's attention as she was heading back to the hostess stand. The hostess did help her out even though she came in after me.. And I was still at the hostess stand waiting. It did kind of leave a little bit of a mark in my mind but it didn't ruin the night for me. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. My food was good for the most part but what we ordered was not worth what I spent. I ordered the Tablita. The meat was seasoned perfectly and delicious. I also prefer a medium well steak. Several pieces of my steak were charred to the point of bitterness around the edges. My biggest issue with the Tablita is the sides are not enough to share. There was about a cup of rice and one cup of beans to split between two people. All of the sides and condiments were basically enough for one person. The grilled onions, the guacamole, the Pico and pickled onions were a great compliment to the meal, but I still don't believe the $145 price tag was worth it. I understand that this is a Mexican style steakhouse, but even at steakhouses shareable meals include shareable sides. We ordered an extra side of the Esquites and honestly, it reminded me more of corn with taco seasoning than actual street corn. Unfortunately, we didn't eat most of the corn. Also, it was my mom's birthday. I put that it was her birthday on the reservation and that was not acknowledged by anyone.. That was a little bit disappointing. Most steakhouses do some sort of a birthday acknowledgment. I can't say that the experience was completely ruined. My mom still enjoyed herself. And it was an opportunity for us to try something new. I would come back again and maybe try happy hour or tacos at the bar. But I 100% certain will never order those same items again. Bonus points for having very delicious chips and salsa and purse hooks at every table at least on the patio.

The best dining experience in Beverly Hills I've ever had!…read more From the moody decor to the food to the service, everything was so well curated and refined. The caviar omakase is the must order thing here. Everything is very small bites, but if you are mostly there for drinks then à la carte is a good option. The omakase was fantastic - nice sized portions of caviar, paired with thoughtful items like a mini lobster roll, a salmon burger, and even ice cream. The drinks are also delightful - you can taste the notes of every ingredient and nothing was too overpowering or unbalanced. But the service is by far the main reason we'll be back. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, on top of being knowledgeable and presenting the menu in a well practiced way. They made this birthday dinner so special and went above and beyond. They do automatically add gratuity but I would've tipped more than that if possible. We ended up at the Maybourne Bar in the Maybourne hotel, a solid B+ lobby bar that I'd visit again under similar circumstances. The space was attractive but the vibe was strange, if not uncomfortable. Just weirdly bright lighting and a different crowd from the usual L.A. bar scene (hotel, Beverly Hills). It was pretty quiet at 10:00 on a Saturday night, and we were able to grab seats at the bar. Service was fast and polite. We ordered a Midas Touch and a Big in Japan, both decent cocktails that cost a full $30 apiece. The Midas Touch was a colorful spicy margarita with El Tesoro Maybourne Edition Reposado, Empirical Ayuuk, Grand Marnier Louis Alexandre, saffron, lemon, and honey. Big in Japan was a Gold Rush variation with Hibiki Harmony, sudachi honey, lemon, sansho pepper, and yuzu bitters. There are better, more interesting cocktail bars all over L.A., but I'd recommend the Maybourne Bar if you're staying at the hotel or otherwise looking for an upscale bar in downtown Beverly Hills. You can get food, too, though most of it seems to involve caviar.

It took over an hour for our food to come out. He also hardly checked in on our table, and we had to ask for drink refills instead of them being offered. At one point, he even spilled food on our table, and overall the service felt inattentive and dismissive. We also had to remind him multiple times that we were celebrating a birthday, which was frustrating considering it was supposed to be a special dinner. For the type of restaurant Dante presents itself as, I expected much better service. Waiting over an hour for our food would have been frustrating on its own, but the lack of communication and the attitude from our waiter made the experience significantly worse. Unfortunately, the service really put a damper on what was supposed to be a birthday celebration.

We had reservations for a Sunday night and were seated at the best table in the house. This speakeasy cocktail lounge is small & dimly lit, which creates a cozy & intimate atmosphere. The Polynesian inspired décor is on point. Bamboo beaded curtains, thatched lamps, tropical prints, & an eight-foot tiki statue add to the charm. Our server Sean was fantastic with a capital F! He entertained us the entire evening. Of course, Tiki cocktails served in kitschy glassware are the main attraction but they also offer Island inspired dishes if you are hungry. (You can also order food from Tail O' The Pup downstairs.) The building was once the recording studio for The Doors, so we had to order The Ghost of Jim Morrison. Sean delivered the flaming drink while singing a Doors tune. Elvis in Hawaii arrived on a platter with an Elvis head on it. Lucky Tiki Old Fashioned was presented in a treasure chest with smoke coming out of it. The Flying Fish came in a cool Blowfish vessel. The Lucky Mai Tai was one of the best, the Classic Daiquiri was nicely balanced, and the Rum Barrel packed a punch. All the drinks were tasty and strong so we ordered a few nibbles: Coconut Shrimp, Lucky Orange Chicken, & Wok-Fried Chow Mein. The food was yummy and hit the spot.
