Dogs Day Inn or DDI as we like to refer to it has taken care of our dogs since it opened. It is home away from home for them. We never worry about the care they get the staff is great. Our dog can't wait to get out of the car when we pull up. We have tried other locations closer to home. Just not the same. read more

We have had such a great experience here. Our bernedoodle Beans is very rambunctious and the friendliest dog ever - he loves to play but he can be a little much lol. We tried out a few places and Dogs Day Inn felt like a perfect fit immediately. We started with a trial day where they introduced him to the other dogs one at a time, and from there it was smooth sailing! They post tons of photos and videos of the dogs playing and causing mayhem, and you can tell that the staff loves them all so much. Beans has made a ton of friends here and it's so fun seeing them all around the neighborhood. Aside from Beans's experience, our experience as owners has been exceptional. My boyfriend is a nurse who sometimes has last-minute overnight shifts when I'm traveling for work, and DDI has been so accommodating in boarding Beans. The staff is very professional and they are super diligent with scheduling, holiday hours, email communications, etc. Just this morning I brought Beans by, not realizing that since it's the Tuesday after Memorial Day Weekend, we actually were supposed to reserve a space for him online based on limited capacity. I felt so bad for not realizing that and said I would take him home, but they were kind and understanding enough to give me a pass this time and let Beans come in for the day. It may seem small, but those kinds of actions go such a long way - especially when it was my own fault for not paying close enough attention. I really can't say enough good things. Beans (and we!!) will miss this place so much once we move later this year!! read more

Anyone looking for a daycare or boarding place should stop looking and check out Dogs Day Inn. The staff goes above and beyond, genuinely cares for the pups, the facility is clean, has a covered outdoor space, separates large and small dogs, and competitive pricing. I have used both services for over a year and I cannot recommend this place enough. Check them out on IG. They even surprised me with Valentine pics of my pup! read more

The caretakers here let my dog suffer with a severe allergic reaction hoping it would be gone before I picked her up instead of calling me and letting me know so I could take her to the vet. They broke this customer's trust in their business and I hope I can save anyone else from this kind of experience with my warning. They didn't purposely cause this situation, but they sure proved that they don't have my dog's best interests in mind when they're responsible for her. Fired. read more

I have been bringing my rambunctious 1.5 year old here for a few weeks now for day care and I love it. The staff is very friendly, they all know my dog by name. He whines in excitement as soon as we pull on the street and is very sad when he leaves. They said he plays all day so he comes home just pooped! They do a trial test to make sure your dog who is new to the place will get along with the current dogs which makes me really happy that they care about them. I highly recommend bringing your doggy here, this place is wonderful! read more

I've been bringing my dog to DDI for over 2 years now. The staff has been incredible. My dog is so excited to see them whenever I drop him off. He's also exhausted when he gets home and sleeps for hours. He has gone for daycare and boarding and both have been great experiences. read more

I could not speak higher praises for this place. My sister used to bring her dog here before he passed away, and when I got my puppy the gang at DDI have been so welcoming. He is a pit mix who was considered a "no play" dog at another location because they were scared of him. The people at DDI see him for the big playful cuddle-bug he is. He has so many friends now and is SO tired when I pick him up after work. read more

Dogs Day Inn - Sleepy after another awesome day at Dogs Day Inn in Chicago! - Pet Sitting Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I saw this place on the net and loved their website. I toured this place and the first thing I noticed was the way the smell of pee hit me the second I walked into the place. It just horrible. The floors in the front are wood and are not sealed and it is just pee soaked - dirty, dirty. Also the dogs per person ratio was alarming. What if there was a fight? The longer the tour lasted the more disturbed I got. I have sen worse but I would never ever leave my dogs here. UPDATE: I got the following response from the owner so I'll bump it up to three stars becasue they seem to be on the way to correcting my biggest issue and take the time to explain the rest - a web cam to check in on would help with the no visitng during play time issue. From Tara P. Thanks Sara, I appreciate your comments greatly. We are planning to redo all of the floors in the facility this summer, which has been delayed by a disagreement we have with the buildings owner unfortunately. I do know on humid days some odor can be created and we are working to correct this. The information you recieved on the tour was correct. We typically have 3 staff on duty and 4-5 at the facility at all times during daycare with ratios as high as (2) people watching 40 dogs with an extra staff on site to assist if needed. While to some this may seem "crazy", I can assure you that its not however. This is in fact the norm for our style of pack care which has been practicecd for decades in Europe and Asia, but is somewhat new to the US. Large groups of dogs that have been temperment tested, and come very regularly create a "stable pack" which is what we are trying to indeed achieve. In smaller groups dogs tend to try to establish a hierarchy and biligerent behaviors and competition tend to be more pervasive. To explain a bit further... a dog that may be an Alpha in a group of 6 dogs will not feel as sure about themsleves in a group of 20 dogs and thus their behviors and efforts to dominate will typically be moderated or completely absent in a large group. The framiliarity of seeing the same dogs all the time in addition creates what behviorists refer to as a "stable pack" environment, which greatly reduces any stress behaviors since the dogs have already accepted each other as equals in the pack environment unlike a group of dogs that are unframiliar in which alert, fear and stress behaviors create room for conflict. In the 7.5 years we have been in business, we have not had a single dog attack. Sure dogs have occasionally cracked nails while playing or had a nipped toe from a dog being stepped on in the middle of the night or a ears and bellys scracthed a bit too hard from play.... but those things are very rare, and given that we are effectlively running a 24/7 365 dog park we are very happy with our modle of care. While it is not right for all dogs or all owners. We simply feel that for highly social and active dogs that it is absolutely the best care available. As to why you can't come in during playtime. This is one of the prices we pay for maintaining a stable pack environment unfortunatley. Having a person come into direct eye content with a pack of dogs that have not accepted them causes alert and stress to the dogs and takes them away from their social behaviors we are trying to establish and foster. I know as a Mom, I would be upset if I couldnt see my kids playing with other kids and would worry about what was going on at a facility if I couldn't do so. In our environment though it is one safety issue amoung many that we impose to ensure that fear, stress, and any motivators for aggression are not present at the facility. I am sorry that our manager was not able to convey our approach to you in a way that made you feel comfortable. It really hurts when someone who I can tell is a big dog freak like me gets the wrong vibe from my place. It makes me feel like people think we are just a big circus, when really there is a ton of experience and methodology in our approach that is really hard to orchestrate and often misconstrued. I will work with my manager on trying to talk more about these issues on the tour... "it gets a little crazy, but its alot of fun" would make me run too, and it is not what we want our managers to be conveying since there is much more to it that we have worked very hard to employ. Thanks for the feedback. It is always good to get honest information like this as an owner, and I will take action on these issues so experiences like yours will be less likely to occur in the future. Best Regards, Tara read more

I haven't taken my dog to DDI for a few years because we're no longer in the area. Also, it seemed like the owner was there less and less. At the time, we liked them and their cageless setup. We weren't daycare clients, just boarding. Even though our dog would smell horrible after a stay, we accepted that as part of the process. They would offer bathing for an additional charge, but we would do it ourselves. Not a big deal. After joining Yelp, I wanted to check out some familiar businesses, and when I read the owner's response I had to throw my 2 cents in. Temperament test--First of all, when we went through their "test", it was during the evening with only a few dogs there. It hardly felt like an accurate assessment. My dog is very submissive, so not an issue. Basically, the testing dogs ran around their playroom for a few minutes and that was it. She said that they've never had an attack. I don't know what they classify as an attack, but my dog got bit on the muzzle while staying there. We didn't notice until we got home--it was nighttime and we were in a hurry to get home--but then we saw a big knot on our dog's cheek. We lifted her lip and found an infected puncture that was obviously a dog bite. These things can happen, and we know especially in a cageless setting dogs play more and can snip at each other. But when I called to ask about it, they just said, "Oh yeah, your dog got bit." The next day the owner called me to apologize and offer to reimburse any vet bills. I appreciated that and declined, but just told him that I'd rather they had told me about it at the time of pickup. I call BS on the whole European practice nonsense. What the hell is she talking about? Is Europe supposed to be setting the global standard by developing state of the art dog daycare techniques?! Sounds like something she read in a book. All that said, I can honestly say that we always really liked the girl at the front desk (I apologize for forgetting her name!). There was never any doubt that she was really into the dogs and genuinely cared about them. Edit: Since originally posting this review, I have had follow-up discussions with the owners of DDI. As a result I gave them an extra star, since they expressed genuine concern not about the ratings but more about the care of the dogs and my experiences. I appreciate that they asked me questions and explained their procedures at length. I also respect that they were very professional in their responses and never asked me to increase the rating or take down my review. read more

I've been completely happy with Dogs Day Inn for about five years now. We board our two dogs here during vacations numerous times a year and have never had any problems. When we drop the dogs off, they excitedly run inside and off to the back - they obviously love it here. We've left them for up to two weeks during long trips, and they're always happy, healthy and in great shape when we return. Stinky, yes, but safe, happy and tired. The peace of mind we get here is so worth it. Jesse and Amanda are both wonderful and have taken the time to get to know us and our dogs. read more

We love Dogs Day Inn. We've been bringing our lab-pitt mixes here for nearly 4 years and it is great to have a place we can trust will take good care of our pups. In order to board at Dogs Day, you must go for a tour and have your pup stay for a half day to make sure that it doesn't become aggressive to the other dogs - that is how this cozy, cage-free facility works for so many Chicagoans. Don't be put off by the slightly stinky front room - they keep the place very clean and comfy for the canines. We appreciate Dogs Day because they often give us a price break since we bring both our dogs in for several days at a time - that makes traveling much easier. But best of all, our dogs love to go. They know when we pull up under the big brown awning that they're about to have a really fun week and that makes us very happy. read more

My beagle had a great time here. A little stinky in the "big play room" but its nice to know that the dogs are not stuffed in cages all day! Free first day (to see if your dog gets along with the other doggies) and they only have them in cages during feeding times. Very friendly owners. Two paws up! read more

I started taking my sister's puppy (18 weeks mini French bulldog) here after hearing rave reviews from three independent people. This place is really well run--no cages and the dogs play freely all day. they do separate the little dogs and older dogs from the main pack, just so each dog gets the stimulation that is best for him/her. They moved my sister's dog into the main room right away because he is a hyper thing and loves to play with the big dogs--I appreciate that they keep such a close watch on each animal to see how he/she is adjusting. His first day he played all day and was zonked when he got home. Mission accomplished. So far he has been back 3 times and seems to love every second of it. He will keep on coming! I would also board him here--it is cageless and the managers sleep in an apartment above the facility. Really well run! read more

We've been using Jesse/Dogs Day Inn weekly for years. Jesse and his team and the BEST! We recently moved to the burbs and STILL drive to the city to drop off our dog to Dogs Day Inn because it's such an awesome place. Our pup loves it and his friends there. read more

We have been taking our dog to Dogs Day Inn for several years. He loves the staff there and they seem genuinely happy to see him. They have a different environment than most day care locations - the dogs are in a pack like environment where they all are out in the open together. There are no toys in the environment so that they don't promote toy aggression. Our dog also boards there when we go away for extended periods of time. We feel very comfortable having him stay there, because we implicitly trust the staff and know that he will be well taken care of. The only negative comment I have is that he sometimes comes home a little smelly. If it wasn't for that, I would definitely give this place 5 stars. But, while a little annoying, the comfort we have with the people that work there and how well they take care of him, makes us (and our dog) keep coming back. read more

We've been taking our dog here since we moved to Chicago and been totally satisfied. Their setup is great and staff has been wonderful. We have a Weimaraner that can be a handful at times (lots of energy), but they've always done a great job with him. He always gets happy once he realizes where I'm taking him and can't wait to run inside. He comes home happy and exhausted which is great for me. I love that he's not in a cage all day and gets to socialize with the other dogs. Wouldn't take him anywhere else. read more

This is a solid place, but it isn't for everyone. The dogs here don't have their own "suites" (as other fancy pants dog boarding places call it), but all the dogs sleep together in one giant room, where they also play and spend most of their day. They are only separated during meal times, when each is put into a crate and fed. So this means that the dogs have an awful lot of fun together! However, it also means that your dog needs to be "vetted" by staff for behavior and sociability before being allowed to join at DDI, through a day of free day-care. I understand why they feel it's needed, after all you want everyone to play nice, but given that all other doggie boarding places have a giant playroom for dogs to socialize but no "entrance exam" so to speak, I'm not entirely sure that it's necessary. But at least I worry less about a bad seed getting into things with my pup while I'm gone? The "entrance test" just makes me a bit hesitant about referring this place to other people with shy dogs, like my cousin and her pup who is *tiny* and doesn't like being around lots of other dogs. Might just be a waste of her time, you know? Other things I really like about this place.... always easy parking around, and really good boarding rates: $40 for the first 5 days, $32 for the next 5 days, $25 for all the days thereafter. This is a really good deal for me when I have to travel for more than just a weekend. My pup is also super excited and happy looking when she comes home from here, so I wouldn't hesitate to bring her back. One criticism is that communication is a bit hit-and-miss with this place. I've had an email or two gone unanswered (although with apologies when communication is finally made) and, although the place is supposed to have someone on staff 24/7 (my understanding is that a couple, also managers, live on premises), tough luck trying to get someone on the phone out-of-hours. Seeing as you are taking care of the love of my life, I would feel much more comfortable knowing that someone can be contacted at all times. I also would appreciate a bit more detail when I send emails checking on my dog's status, not just a stock "she's fine and doing well" email. Overall, if your dog is a friendly sort who enjoys playing with other dogs, it would be a good place for him/her. If not, go elsewhere. read more

My wife and I absolutely love this place!! I bring my dog, Oakley, here for day care once or twice a week. I also have boarded her here many of times, for as long as two weeks. She absolutely loves it and shakes with excitement once she figures out she is going there for the day. She is also exhausted for a day and a half after she leaves. I love that when we board her, she is not in a cage and is with other dogs all of the time (except for feedings). Oakley hated her crate, so why would i want to subject her to being in a cage for a third of her day when I am away on vacation. Instead, she is free and able to be with all of the other dogs. Dogs Day Inn's focus is on the dogs' happiness and safety. I think the walk through and the one day trial is a testament to this commitment. They are not trying to impress owners with ridiculous suites because dogs do not need, or even want, creature comforts that are targeted for humans. They would rather not be in a contained environment and get to play with other dogs. you can also arrange for a bath and other grooming options . I often do this and they do a great job with baths as well, so my wife and I rarely have to worry about bathing Oakley ourselves. DDI has the environment that dogs find more than just appealing. I know many owners who take their dogs here and they all share my sentiments. Many of them have tried the places with the suites etc. and both they and their dog find Dogs Day Inn an immeasurably better place for their pet. Their prices are very reasonable and the owners, Jesse and Amanda, are kind and caring people, who get to know us and Oakley. If you live in the area, you would be crazy not to send your dog here for boarding and day care. I felt this way since the first time I boarded Oakley but I would like to share a story. One day I was dropping Oakley off at day care and, by accident, I slammed my car door on her tail. Her tail was gushing blood and Amanda came outside and bandaged her up so we could get to the vet. Despite this experience and pain, Oakley refused to leave their front door because she STILL wanted to play. Oakley is fine now but she could not go to day care for a month. The owners called twice to check on her condition, a testament to how much they care about the dogs. What more do you need? read more

We've been coming to Dogs Day Inn regularly for the last 5+ years and have always been happy. Our dog is always happy when she comes back and we know she's well taken care. However recently we have noticed that the place might not be taken care of as well as before. 1. Their doorbell has been broken for many months and I've had to bang on the door to get someone's attention to buzz me in. Pl fix the doorbell 2. The front reception area used to be well maintained with candles burning to keep the doggy smell under control. Not anymore, they moved the reception desk to the side to create more room which is fine but I have to say that front area doggy smell is really bad. Its the first area that people see and I would think its in their best interest to keep it looking and smelling fresh. I have also worrying abt the upkeep of the inside area where dogs are kept. We are not allowed to see that area and can hope that its being taken care of. We do like the place so would hate to switch to a different dog boarding. read more

I don't love boarding my baby, but here I never worry. I know that Oscar will be taken care of and I trust the staff implicitly. Jesse and the gang care for my dog the way I would and I'm so thankful to have a place I can count on, year after year! read more

My girlfriend and I have been bringing in our Lab Hank for over a year now. Initially when we got hank, we checked out a few daycares around the area. After the introductions and tours, DDI just felt like the right place. Hank absolutely loves going there and always comes back exhausted. Amanda, Jesse and crew do a great job of taking care of all the dogs and truly do care about their well being. We have not been able to take Hank much this year since we have moved away from the neighborhood, but we still drive there from time to time to give him a fun filled day. Thank you Dogs Day INN! read more

I've been boarding my pup here for about two years and have always had a great experience. They're easy to book, and they're prices are great. The staff is very friendly and they now remember my pup and her quirks. She can be slow to warm up to people and is a stage 10 clinger with me, but after a few visits she goes willingly right on to the back instead of trying to stay back. I prefer DDI so much that even after I moved to Hyde Park I still drive Millie up to have her boarded there. I love that she's always able to roam around and play (the only time they're kenneled is during meal times, which I am 100% in favor of) and they get time in their outdoor back area once an hour for a bit. But mostly I just like that the staff are friendly and clearly love their jobs. I hate leaving Millie but I always feel safe bringing her to DDI and I know she's in good hands. read more

My brother and I have been bringing our dogs here for over seven years. This is, hands down, the best place to board your dog in the city. The staff is incredible and really do treat your dog like family. I'm a frequent traveler for work and pleasure, I can't emphasize how comfortable I am leaving my dog in the care of these guys. No kidding - I'd rather my dog stay here when I'm gone than at my house with a friend. As far as the review below that mentions a dog biting the manager, get real. Your dog can only board here if it is well adjusted and social. The dogs are ONLY in cages during meal time, and, as someone who has their dog boarded at Dog's Day, I don't want a shifty dog in the mix. In short, I'm not easily impressed with customer service, but this place is amazing. read more

We tried several different places for DDC (Doggie Day Care) when we moved to the city (3 years ago) and while at first most places achieved what we were wanting we noticed after a while that Lil Harry (our dog) became less and less excited to go. We've been taking Lil Harry to Dogs Day Inn now for almost a year and a half and every time we are in the car he gets that excited stance (you know the one; paws on the front seat, nose forward, tail wagging, a little whining because we're not moving fast enough). He pulls on the leash to get to the door. It's almost embarrassing if it weren't so cute. I feel the owners do a good job of keeping track of what Lil Harry does throughout the day. When I've asked what he's done their report usually reflex his behavior once we get home (utterly exhausted and usually falls asleep in the car). I like the fact they have an outdoor area that is covered for Lil Harry to go outside and play. I especially like that it has water spritzers in the canvas to keep the dogs cool on the hot days and I appreciate that it is a locally owned business by people who, I feel, truly care about the dogs that come into their business. As long as Harry's tail continues to wag as he head to Dogs Day Inn we will be going there. read more

Managers (Amanda and her husband) are so great, caring and flexible. They really make the experience. My little dog is a little shy and they are good about balancing her time in the big play room, outside and up front in the small dog area. Highly recommended-- we've tried other places for boarding (Pooch and Citizen Canine) and we like this much better. read more

Dogs Day Inn is a savior. I researched and reviewed so many doggy daycares before testing one out with my rambunctious australian shepherd puppy (she NEEDS the daytime activity). Dogs Day Inn seemed to be the best choice out of all the ones I looked at for many reasons: price, location, 100% free play (no crate rotation for the pups), accessibility, and VERY IMPORTANT....no aggressive dogs allowed. And Dogs Day Inn accepts responsibility for any injuries that may be incurred to your dog IF a fight happens with another dog. I read horror stories about people getting stuck with huge vet bills because something happened to their pup while at other daycare/boarding establishments. My pup literally squeals like a little excited piggy when she realizes we're headed toward daycare and comes home absolutely exhausted from playing all day. The staff is always friendly and attentive. To people who complain about it being stinky or their dog being smelly when they come home... get over it, they're dogs. The place doesn't smell bad for having as many dogs in it as it does. You can also pay for your pup to be given a bath before you pick them up, fork over the cash if you don't want them to stink. The price is right too. First 5 sessions/$50 (my only complaint is I don't remember being told that her 'trial day' counted as one of those 5 sessions, still a great deal). After the first 5 sessions you can pay for a package deal and get daycare for as little as $20/day. Haven't tried boarding yet, but I will definitely consider them next time we need a boarder. read more

We really love the convenient hours and location of Dogs Day Inn. Our dog seems to be really worn out (which is good) and doesn't mind returning, which is great. Our one MAJOR issue is the horrible smell of the place. You can smell it around the corner and we won't let the dog come into our house until he has had one, if not two baths. I would love to talk to the owner about this because we will probably stop taking him there soon if it doesn't improve. The only other issue we have is when we call no one answers - and we have left messages but haven't received a call back. We've heard a lot of our friends have stopped going for this reason. read more

we love dogs day inn and we love amanda and jesse. our pugs have been going here for years and they always come home happy and tired. we've never had our dogs come home with even a scratch and everyone is great about making sure they play hard in a safe environment. they even make sure our girl pug spends some playtime in the back when she would much prefer to stay up front in one of the chairs all day long. what's more, they accommodate us if we're running late, they are great about making sure the dogs gets all of their different meds when they are boarding and jesse, amanda and the staff know the personality of each dog so well that they make sure to pay special attention to their certain needs. sure, sometimes the pugs come home smelling more "doggy" when they are there for daycare or boarding but i could care less -- to me, that's a clear sign it was a good day. not to mention, i know they're safe and in good hands and that is invaluable. read more

We've been sending our 1.5 year old lab to Dogs Day Inn for about 6 months, and have only had positive experiences! Everyone is so friendly and you can tell they pay attention to him throughout the day (know him by name and know which pups he's been playing with, etc.). He RUNS to the front door when we get close, so I know he loves it too! Always exhausted when we get home - a treat for us to have a pooped pup! We've sent him for daycare and for overnight boarding - no complaints! read more

Our dog had been going to Dogs Day Inn for many years whenever we were out of town. We would call occasionally to see how he was doing and it was always comforting to know he was well cared for. He seemed to really enjoy it. On our most recent vacation we got a call from Amanda about a problem he developed during his stay. Amanda and Jesse were amazing at not only detecting it but personally taking him to a specialty vet for tests. It turned out to be cancer. We were devastated but Amanda and Jesse were both knowledgeable, sympathetic and unbelievable in caring for our dog until we returned. We cannot thank them enough. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dogs Day Inn! I started taking my dog there a few months ago based on several recommendations from my neighbors. Milo LOVES it! When we are within a block of DDI, he gets sooo excited and tries to get out of the car as fast as possible so he can run inside. He gets plenty of exercise playing with the other dogs all day. He pretty much falls asleep as soon as he gets home. Their daycare and boarding services are outstanding. The staff is awesome as well. They are very friendly and you can tell that they genuinely care about your dog. I do not feel bad leaving Milo for the day (or overnight) because I know he is being given great care. I highly recommend DDI! read more

We've been happy customers of Dog's Day Inn for 3 or 4 years now, it's a wonderful place. Our dog gets overjoyed when he realizes where we're going...and comes home happy (and often exhausted!) each time. The staff takes the time to know the dogs, and there is a lot of play and TLC that seems to happen there. Nothing but great things to say. read more

They strive for this place to be a retreat where dogs can come and relax and be lazy. Essentially, that translates to "please don't bring your dog here if your dog likes to play and be active." Not sure how that's possible because dogs will be dogs and love to run around and play, unless your dog is anti-social or depressed. It also smelled pretty bad inside which was a red flag for me at first. Fortunately, Chicago has many dog/pet facilities to choose from so keep your options open. read more

Update: After seeing my review on yelp and Facebook (which they deleted), the owners of DDI agreed to pay for my dog's injury.

My dog has been going here for nearly 6 months and she absolutely loves it. Every once in a while she gets peed on, but I think it's expected. She absolutely loves coming here and I think the staff genuinely care about these animals. I found a coupon for another daycare but am really hesitant about using anyone else. read more

If it weren't for the Managers, Amanda and Jesse, I would take my dog elsewhere. Amanda and Jesse really MAKE the place---they are more than super great! -- I can't say enough about their care and love of dogs, their concern and communication, and their dealings with me throughout the years. I have been taking my German Shepherd Rocco here for 6 years. Four years previous to this, My German Shepherd Rufus received wonderful carea and supervision. If they ever left the place, I would go with them! read more

I've been really happy. We take our two dogs here periodically for "day care", just so our they can get a little more excercise during the workday. We also use them for longer-tem stays when we're out of town. The staff is absolutely wonderful -- they have a definite love for animals and care for them accordingly. Out of the hundreds of dogs they must see regularly, it never ceases to amaze me when our dogs are greeted with "Oh, Winston and Chloe came to play today!" read more

My dog was literally harmed here. I was told he got aggressive. He was a year and a half - and I don't doubt that he did. But they put a muzzle on him - and they put it on so tight, and left it on him for so long, that he was scarred for weeks. The indentation was so deep that ti drew blood and left a scar. This is unacceptable. Do not let them do this to your dog, please. read more

There really is no other place in the city we would trust to take care of our baby. Our dog feels so comfortable staying overnight here and it makes us rest easy knowing he's in good hands. Their prices seem reasonable and perhaps my only complaint is that it is difficult to make a holiday reservation. read more

Well, I would not give them any stars as they are not good at all & my dog died due to them not listening to our instructions & the lady Amanda has no time for older dogs & feel they should be kept in a hospice & not their place & she treated our baby so badly but we could not utter a word in case she was more cruel to him when he was alone. She openly told us that she can't follow our instructions not to be left alone outside as he sometimes ate the poo but she did not care at all & sadly he got parvo & died. All I can say, is that don't believe everything as they are not v.bothered about the dogs as they show.Jessie is a really nice man & really cares but his hands are tied & wish they would take more care & listen to us instead of being rude to the owner & be nasty with the dogs. Sad, our baby went so fast & all thanks to their neglect. If I kept another dog that is the last place I would keep him.I learned my lesson & we are so heart broken that due to their neglect he died early....that is all I have to say & I hope they change & our baby cried so much when we arrived & just would take the leash & would tell us to leave as he only knew what they did to him....be warned dog owners,do not get fooled by their sweet talk & smile.I wish there would be regular checks as to what is going on out there & they throw away all the food left over as he would not eat & when we requested them to return they did so as it was v.expensive food. This is not right to throw food away when they don't eat. This way the owners will not know if they ate or not. They should have cameras & owners should check on the computer when they are away.Hope Amanda the lady changes as the place will really go down due to her attitude.Jessie & the men r wonderful & he is sincerely a sweet man unlike his wife who is so rude with owners & dogs. She even hit my dog for jumping on the door to say goodbye to us & then pulled him away & took him inside. He wanted to kiss us & maybe now as we realize did not want us to leave him as he was miserable. He hated going there.Feel so bad for not changing the place & he would have been still alive if we had done so....God bless his soul & life is not the same without him...thanks to her. read more
