I love these guys! my big bertha really doesn't like guys and doesn't like people she doesn't know. However she takes super well with Rob and the team. They know how to handle dogs and go above and beyond to get her on the books last minute. i really appreciate them and highly recommend. ive done dog visits, walking, and overnight. read more

I got my Brody at 8 weeks old. Prior to getting him, I researched dog walking/pet care services that would be amenable to my challenging work schedule. Rob and his team helped me practically raise Brody, who is now 2 (!!) and I can't imagine how I'd do it without them. To this day, he's ALWAYS there in a pinch when I need him. And Brody loves them (which is what matters most). I recommend Chicago Jay Walkers for any/all services they offer. read more

Chicago Jay Walkers - Typical reaction after walks with Rob and Chicago Jay Walkers. - Dog Walkers Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

We did the trial for two weeks. They will put a QR code on your door to scan in and out when they get there and leave, but during COVID the app gave them permission to scan in and out remotely on their app to minimize close contact. Let me preface this by saying I wouldn't mind if a walk had to be cut short for whatever reason. I'm not trying to nitpick time or money. Today I went to run an errand and our walker (Jezeraie) came to pick him up while I was gone. I was gone for about 40 mins or so and my dog was back when I got home. I figured I probably just missed her on either end. Well their Pet Check service said she was still out on a walk with my dog. She checked out of the walk a couple minutes later. I have a smart lock that logs all of the times our door was unlocked and opened. Turns out she was regularly dropping our dog off and then logging out of the app about 5 minutes later. When I asked her about it she said she was ensuring that we got our full 30 min walk. Again, I don't care about 5 minutes sometimes as long as they're honest about it. Not much difference between a 25 or 30 minute walk. But when they start lying about things is when I get concerned. How can I trust you with my dog if I can't even trust you to properly log your time in the app? Dishonest dog walkers is very much a no-go for me. Definitely do not use this walker, or if you do, make sure you are monitoring the times that your dog is out. Very very bad experience. It makes me uneasy just thinking about giving someone a key to our house that would lie about anything like this. I also looked back through my chat messages with Rob, the manager, and not once did he apologize or say sorry. Just lots and lots of excuses. *EDIT* After going through my smart lock app, we were supposed to get 1 hour long walks on June 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, and 9th. We were billed for an hour. These times were taken from when the door was first unlocked to when it was closed and locked after the walk. Basically the same time that would have been logged had Jezeraie actually scanned the QR code that they put on our door. 6/1: 12:15 - 13:19 64 mins 6/2: 12:28 - 13:20 52 mins 6/7: 12:09 - 12:46 37 mins 6/8: 12:57 - 13:49 52 mins 6/9: 12:40 - 13:27 47 mins We got the full hour on one of those days. 37 mins on another. Then all three days this week were under the 30 mins we paid for. So out of 8 days walked, we got what we paid for on only the first day. These people are scammers. Completely terrible company. read more

I have now been using Chicago Jay Walkers since early March, with zero complaints! Not only is the owner, Rob, very responsive but my day is typically made by the sweet updates my dog walker provides. You are able to follow the GPS of where your dog is walked and receive a photo report following each outing. They are flexible for night and weekend walks (at a small additional charge) and have never hesitated to honor a special request. I can't believe the level of service I receive for such a reasonable cost. I highly recommend Chicago Jay Walkers! - Kate & Ginger read more

I've used Chicago Jay Walkers for a few years now and they are the best!! Always reliable and flexible

Rob and Jezi took amazing care of our Australian Shepherd. Luna enjoyed her walks and they were always very responsive. Thank you Chicago Jay Walkers! read more

I've been really impressed with Chicago Jay Walkers after trying multiple other dog walking services that were unreliable. I appreciate that I can see when Robert picks up & drops off my pup through the app. Robert also frequently texts me if he is running late or needs to walk the pup a bit later within my preferred time window. Reliability and communication are top notch! read more

thought was good at first until we found out that our walker was lying about the walk time. Trust is the biggest thing with a dog walking company. why would you choose dishonest and lying people to walk your dog? just disappointing. read more

I honestly cannot say enough about these guys. I'm a nurse, and my schedule often rotates between random shifts, but Alonso and Jeff are more than happy to accommodate. They even come at midnight to walk my pups when I work overnight shifts! All the scheduling is done online, and it could not be easier. I love that I can log in to the portal to check my walk schedule, request additional walks, or even check out the GPS map of where the dogs walked! When Alonso and Jeff enter my apartment, they scan a QR code on my fridge. I then get an email stating the walk has started. When they're done walking the pups, I get another email saying the walk is done, along with a personalized note detailing the walk, who pooped, who peed, etc. This company is absolutely fantastic, and Jeff and Alonso are just great guys! read more

I'm pretty obsessed with my dog. As are you, if you're spending the time to a) get a dog walker and b) bother checking on yelp to see whether they're any good. Chicago Jay Walkers go above and beyond in ways that people obsessed with their dogs really care about. Mike clearly likes hanging out with Molly (our dog), and that means something to us! He takes pictures often and uploads them to pet check technology. So with the GPS I can see exactly where they walked, whether Molly went #2 or just #1, and pictures of my sweet dog. AND I get email updates when Mike arrives and when he leaves. They're super flexible with scheduling as well, which is key. I have the option to work from home when my boss is traveling, so sometimes we need a walker 5x/week, sometimes 1x, sometimes none. It totally depends and Mike is fine with it. He even texts me if we don't have a walk scheduled, just to make sure I haven't forgotten (which happens). Payments are super easy, all automatic. Scheduling is super easy in the online system. Basically, don't hesitate. Great company. read more

We've had different walkers throughout the years (some good and some not so good), but Jeff and the Chicago Jay Walkers beats them all! From affordable prices, willingness to work with our ever changing schedules, the Pet Check technology which gives you real time updates on when the walker shows up and how the walk goes (AMAZEBALLS!), funny updates and snide comments when I can't figure out the scheduling tool yet again, this is my favorite dog walking service in Chicago and I would recommend it to anyone. ***Their website is really easy to use, I'm just dumb. read more

I've used Chicago Jay Walkers for over a year and love it! They send updates for every walk and Rob is awesome about responding and making last minute schedule changes when needed. They're flexible with my schedule and they've always been extremely professional and nice. My pup loves her dog walkers! I've referred Chicago Jay Walkers to friends who have also had great experiences with them. read more

I love Chicago Jay Walkers!! They are so flexible and really care about my dog. I have had dog walkers before and I will only be using them from now on. They provide awesome pictures and updates after each walk. Also, they are very affordable. Thank you for giving me peace of mind when I am at work! read more

We've been using Chicago Jay Walkers for our puppy for about 2 months and we absolutely love them! Rob, the owner, is really easy to get a hold of and always super nice. We love that they offer two 15 minute walks a day. Its an awesome option for puppies and isn't offered by most companies. The app is really easy to use and allows you to set up a set schedule. Before we started Rob and Ixchel (our primary dog walker) came to our condo to meet me and Gus, our puppy, which was great! We love Ixchel and its a huge plus that its the same walker every day. She also sends adorable pictures of Gus, which makes my day. I highly recommend Chicago Jay Walkers. read more

I started using Chicago Jay Walkers when my bulldog was just 10 weeks old. Little to say I was very nervous about leaving him with someone when he was so little...but unfortunately I have to work full-time and cant be home with him during the week. If there is anyone I trust leaving my puppy with, its Robert. He is incredible with him and my bully just loves him! I don't have to worry while I'm at work because i know he is in great hands. The timed email reports are fabulous...I love getting an update on his walk and the assurance that he has been walked. Robert and Chicago Jay Walkers have been great and their flexibility is much appreciated. My schedule is sometimes unpredictable, and Robert has always been able to add a walk, sometimes even on weekends. If something comes up at the last minute...he is very understanding about it. We have already recommended Chicago Jay Walkers to others and will continue to recommend them as they are great! read more

Because my husband and I have always had different work schedules, we never needed any type of "daycare" or walking services for our beloved dog. After almost six years of never leaving her home alone for more than a few hours, we were pretty nervous when our schedules changed and she would be left alone for 7-9 hours each day. We did some searching around and Chicago Jay Walkers was highly recommended to us. After leaving Jeff a message, he quickly returned my phone call and made arrangements to come to our place to meet the entire family. He was very professional and brought lots of information about his services as well as a questionnaire for us to complete about our dog's history as well as likes and dislikes. I loved hearing about how Jeff is a pet owner and has had his own dog with dog walkers so he really knew what dog parents want from their dog walkers. I love the Pet Check Technology that will send me an email to let me know when my dog has been picked up. I can even track their walk in real-time, which is exciting since I am sitting in my office, chained to my desk and I can visualize my dog happily strolling along the beach instead of sitting in our condo alone. At the end of the walk, I get a second alert letting me know that she has been returned home with a nice little note from the walker. I really look forward to reading these little notes where he tells me about their adventures. These sweet messages really tell me that he cares about our dog. Even after my dog had a little bout of the flu, Jeff followed up with a text message over the weekend checking in on her to make sure that she was okay. I also really like the fact that Jeff and his partner live in East Rogers Park so they really know the area as well as the residents. When Jeff initially met with us, I told him a concern that I have about another dog in the neighborhood being aggressive towards other dogs and warned him to keep our dog away and he knew exactly which dog I was talking about. I really like the fact that he knows that my dog prefers to walk on the beach and park as opposed to sidewalks and he truly treats my dog as if she were his own. I would definitely recommend Chicago Jay Walkers to anyone looking for their dog to be taken care of and loved at all times! read more

Exceptional! My dog is a large, temperamental, takes a bit to like you German Shepard. Scott was amazing with him. Upon first meeting, it was clear that Scott knew what he was doing & went at my dog's pace to get to know him. The posting of pics of my dog, daily notes on how he was doing & being able to see the route they walked was wonderful! I can't recommend them enough. They even fit me in when I had a last minute trip. read more

I can't say enough about Jeff and his team. I am a single animal loving girl, who has two rescue beagles as well as fosters. Jeff is great about accommodating fosters (I don't always get a ton of notice when they come or when they get adopted!) and making sure my guys are taken care of. The pet check in is great to monitor times, in case I need to work late or have other plans, and to see what they are up to with photos and an idea of where they walked. I haven't had a chance to try out the pet sitting but if the walks are any indication, I would say Jeff and his team excel! read more

Chicago Jay Walkers is seriously the best! Jeff and Jay really the greatest. I am very protective of my five year old greyhound. So when my schedule changed to 9-5 like my fiancées, I was panicked about who was going to look after my precious Holly in the afternoons. I found Chicago Jay Walkers and scheduled a meeting. Jeff came to our home to talk about Holly and her needs. Soon after we go our schedule and payment set up online. Our walker Jay meet Holly and things have been perfect. I get email alerts when Jay arrives and when he leaves. He gives me a description of the walk. Need to have your dog walked to the groomer? They'll take care of it. Need to add an extra walk so you can enjoy your work holiday party? They'll take care of it. Need to cancel walks? They'll easily accommodate you. I have worked for years in customer service and have never received better service. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

They started out good but then one of their managers ended up lying about when our dog was walked...or our dog would be walked an hour later then what I had scheduled...and they were supposed to have a fail safe way of proving when a dog was walked, NOT. I cannot afford their walks anymore and it is hard to get a hold of them on the same day. read more

When our fur-baby came into our lives, my wife and I were working slightly opposite shifts and the dog was never alone for more than 4 hours on any given day. A new work schedule came about, and now my wife and I were going to have identical 12 hour shifts at the hospital, overnight to boot! I can not begin to tell you how many places I reached out to, begging that they would even consider taking our dog out for a short and sweet potty break at 12am. Jeff was the only one to be on board with the abnormal hours and random 3 nights a week. Expecting to pay top dollar for the inconvenience, his prices were actually the lowest (which included the outside hours fee). The cherry on top of it all is the use of pet check technology....which any pet parent will love. Companys wanting to charge $20 and $30 for a potty break, couldn't even offer me this piece of mind of confirming that they were there to let our pup out. It's a big deal to be able to trust someone to perform a task for you while you are out, giving a set of keys to your house to someone you just met, and most importantly trust someone to take care of your furry family member. Jeff put us at ease, first- meeting us at home, getting to know Olive, the lay of the land and telling us about him and his company and the pet check technology. Jeff is great with Olive, and we love reading his checkout notes while at work, letting us know how she is, and how happy she is to see him. Payment is automatic, you set it up with the website, and every Sunday your tab for the week is paid in full on the card of your choice. No running to the bank to get cash, no having to break bills or writing I.O.U's....easy-peasey! Twice (so far, and hopefully only twice) our little one has made a mess while we were working and Jeff cleaned up the messes...talk about going above and beyond! Jeff is very easy to get in contact with, on a few occasions we've needed him outside of the usual 12am time on short notice, and he is quick to respond and let us know that he is happy to help us out. It is such a comfort to know that when we are running late, are working, or when we have to be out for a few more hours than we feel comfortable leaving our furbaby alone, Jeff is there to help us out and be there for her. I can't say enough great things about Jeff and the Chicago Jay Walkers. These guys are the best in service and value, 5 stars aren't enough! read more

We are so happy to have discovered Chicago Jay Walkers!! Rob is a wonderful guy and genuinely enjoys our pup. As first-time dog owners we weren't sure about using a dog-walking service, but Rob immediately inspired confidence and trust with his warm, friendly manner and plenty of experience. He's very reliable, great at communicating, and always very positive. Absolutely recommend! read more

I started using this service about a month ago, and so far I have absolutely no complaints. It's easy to get in touch with them to make scheduling changes, and they've always been accommodating. My dog is a pain in the butt to deal with, so I was nervous about finding anyone and I'm glad I took this chance. The app to schedule walks, track the walks and view photos/comments is a wonderful touch! read more

Absolutely the best! Our dog Gus isn't the fastest with new people and they took the time to let him get to know them. Now he's their best friend and loves when Rommel (our walker) comes by. Gus has been afraid of all kinds of things so our walker even took the time to bring *their* dog along for a couple walks to help show him the ropes. These folks are the absolute best! read more

A truly great dog walking service! Rob and his guys are amazing to work with - and our dog loves them! It doesn't take long to see that they genuinely care about the dogs they work with. We have an exceptionally social animal - and they take the time to give him love and attention every time they come by. They provide pictures, maps of the walk, and updates for each appointment. We couldn't be happier having them take care of our muppet of an animal. We absolutely recommend them! read more
