There is also a kiosk you can use if you don't have the app. The roads in this area can be a bit challenging to navigate. If it's a nice day, just walk over. The interior is very high energy. I love the metal musician sculptures. The huge diorama by one of the entrances shows this spot in Worcester when the canal was the main source of traffic for goods. This is after all The Canal District. Today the canal is under the street just outside that door. Times they do change things. I very much appreciate these types of eating venues. Where everyone can get what they want. Sushi, Cuban, Burgers, Italian ice, Boba, Cookies. Options. For shopping you'll find a wine merchant, The Market Pantry sells loose teas, oils, spices and kitchen goods and an Irish goods store, Erin gift shop, sells beautiful Aran Island sweaters, Muckross brand hats and purses along with other Irish inspired items. A few high tops are located along one wall in a hallway toward the back. We found one larger table in a small alcove nearby the high-tops and then there is an open area at the front that hold about twenty tables or so. A microbrewery is attached to the market too. All the vendors we spoke with were very friendly. Definitely could have walked away with so much food and loose teas and gifts. Natick Mall has really changed since when I was a child. It still at heart is a mall, but now it…read morehas lots to offer. I think the most prevalent thing I've noticed is how there are a lot of entertainment options now. Dave and Busters was the first to open, followed by Level 99. Now there's also a Puttshack and a Bosee Pickleball club. I think this adds a layer because it turns into "just a mall" to a social gathering spot where you could shop, eat, or have fun. There's something for all ages with this. Now when it comes to the shopping, there's still your average clothing stores, there's beauty and jewelry stores like Sephora and Pandora, and also a Macys if you want a department store. There's also a wing with more high-level luxury stores, like a Zara, Louis Vitton, Tiffany, and David Yurman. I think this area is nice if you want luxury but not to travel into Boston. There's a lot of empty stores in this wing too so hopefully they get filled soon. Food options are good too, they have a food court, Cheesecake Factory, P.f. chang's., California Kitchen pizza, and the food inside of the entertainment places too. Overall this mall has been renovated a lot, and I think for the better. It encompasses a lot and you don't have to come here just to shop, but you can if you'd like. I will say though they have plenty of parking which includes free garages, people are still unkind around the holidays and you might be circling around for a while before you find a spot. Parking is always hard here no matter what and I know people who avoid this mall because of it, which is sad but I get it. I heard if you come on a weekday morning it's better.

Now, it's more empty spots than occupied. The mall itself appears to be kept clean. Restrooms are older but clean. Light on the concourse seems to come exclusively through the sky light. Food court on third floor has Thai food and you can see Boston Pita just across the mall. Anchor stores include Macy's and JCPenney. Most of the high end stores remain like Holster , Abecrombie and Victoria Secret along with a fragrence and a sunglasses store. Other stores include FYI, The Children's Place and Newbury Comics. An escape room is also in residence, a nail kiosk by apppintment and eyebrow threading. Games are scattered along the mall concourse such as VR and Claw machines. It's really sad to see this once thriving mall so quiet. As we walked the floors I wondered if this could be turned into a multi-use building to include retail and food on the lower level, or on one side, and residential on the upper levels or opposite side. Plenty of parking, not too far from commuter rail, and super convenient for residents to have shopping and restaurants just out their door. Might even grow the retail options - Something similar to The Arcade in PVD. In a world in need of more housing it feels like a win for developers, the city, the stores and the residents imho.

But let me tell you why this mall is so helpless... THE BATHROOMS! I was here earlier and I needed to use the bathroom. I was in Macy's and found theirs, but the men's room was locked. A sign said I had to find an employee for assistance. The two I saw were busy with other customers and I didn't have time to wait, I needed to go. I trekked to the food court area where I used the bathroom there. This was neither sanitary or parliamentary! 1.) the toilets do not flush unless you hold down the handle for an extended period of time. HOORAY! 2.) there are three hand washing sinks yet only ONE of them was working, and only cold water was coming out. 3.) the hand dryers do not work! No paper towels either. So you walk out the bathroom with wet hands that didn't get properly cleaned due to the improper water temperature. It's probably a good thing many food spots left this place... I have yet to see a revitalization in progress. All I see is random vending machines that nobody pays attention to. Good luck!

What we got: Smoked Bacon and Dried Tofu Stir-Fry Deep-fried Oyster Mushroom Spicy Sir-Fried Shredded Potato Every one of these dishes was just perfect, and the menu has so much more to explore. One important note is that many of the authentic and different dishes available were on the in-house restaurant menu though I didn't see them online. Not sure if I missed something on the website, but I was very excited to see the menu they had in-house. We also enjoyed some equally authentic tea with our meal - the meal was good at every turn. The guy serving us - who I took to be the owner - was super helpful with suggestions and very friendly. Everything we had was cooked fresh, so not super fast, but definitely in reasonable time. The chef was amazing. If you are looking for a place with truly good authentic food that falls a bit outside the New England Chinese staples, I strongly recommend Oxyear. This is a small local corner restaurant, but well worth the trip.
