This mall is the stereotypical example for small struggling malls across the country. Two of their anchor stores, Sears and Macy's Home have closed, and the Sears space remains empty. Macy's Home is now a medical facility. Macy's department store is still operating, and like the rest of the mall, it's very quiet. Finding a salesperson or open cash register can be challenging. Most of the food court is closed, I think there are only two food vendors left (Cap't Loui and Tacos Mexico, plus a yogurt counter). However, on the positive side, if you're looking for an EV charger, there are a plethora available at this mall, and it's likely that many if not most will be available. And parking is always a breeze as nobody is ever at the mall! read more

Place is shell of its former self, a lot of sadness and a "food court" to forget. The addition of Five Below is a plus, Foot Locker and children's place is what insulate stop in for. read more

I've decided to stop at Auburn Mall to just kill time, and explore. Opened in 1971, the mall is still standing to this day, and looking to be fairly dead as I speak. It's one floor, with a main hallway and one small wing in the center. It's a small mall with limited stores and services. Macy's is the only anchor store left, and who knows how long that will last? I walked through and found the hallway fairly clean and kept up, which is important. I spent a little time just taking in the memories, and it's a struggle for malls to push in these times we're living in. Time will tell in the years to come. read more

The only issue I have with the mall is that the restrooms are not centrally located: way over in the food court...very inconvenient for people with disabilities who are nowhere near the food court. read more

I went to this mall today to do some Christmas shopping and to have lunch. The stores are okay, but I was bothered by at least 3 beggars in the area of this mall. During lunch a man tried to get me to buy him a lunch. After that while at the bus stop 2 beggars tried to get cigarettes and money from me. This mall needs to beef up on security to stop these people from doing this obnoxious begging. read more

Auburn Mall is a nice mall near Worcester. The selection of stores is nice. Macy's and Sears are the mall's department stores. Simon Malls has realized that the food selection isn't the greatest and is working to fix that issue. I have been to Auburn Mall a few times and was hungry and nothing was good to me so I am happy Simon Malls is working to fix that issue. Auburn Mall isn't no Copley Place or Natick Mall it's a typical mall that you can find just about anywhere. So it's nothing that special but if you need to pick something up and Auburn has that store run through you'll be very surprised. The mall has no help desk but that's ok because they have the management office near center court. You can find a guest service center and Simon giftcards. Auburn Mall is the closest mall to Worcester that's not Greendale Mall. If you are wondering why four stars my response is thus place an't Greendale Mall. I love this mall !! I grew up going here and it is not a huge mall but it is still a great place if you want to do a little shopping without big crowds. Yes could the food court use some more choices absolutely but I'm not there to eat . I love that Macey's is there this store is amazing !! Everyone's shopping expectations are always different but I do like this mall. read more

What a craptacular mall! The food court is a complete joke. Subway, a creole place, and a Chinese restaurant. Three of the choices were closed indefinitely. The only store that I felt worth going into was the Express Outlet. I felt very unsafe in this mall and the kiosk clerks were borderline aggressive. I had one mock me for taking a call on my phone. I cannot fathom how people can be so aggressive at sales. I got what I wanted and swiftly left this mall. The parking garage is extremely sketchy. Many precarious people lurking around. read more

Used to be a great mall at one time. Most of the stores are closed and it's not one of the safest places to be. I'd rather drive the extra 15 minutes and go to Solomon. Better than the Greendale Mall in Worcester, but not by much. This place is on a major decline, especially since major anchor stores are leaving/going out of business. The food court uses to have a great selection but gets worse every time I go. There are fewer stores that I want to shop at as well. Hopefully there will be a turnaround for this place. read more

OK, I'm a bit jaded having grown up down the street from the fourth largest mall in North America, Roosevelt Field in Garden City, NY. There is a Macy's, a Sears and not much else. Not even an attention grabber at the food court. To be honest, the only reason I ever stop is because there's something I need and I don't feel like driving to a real mall. read more

3 stars only because it's one of the closest mall besides Greendale that's within the 10 mile radius of Worcester. If you're looking for a Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus, or Saks 5th Ave, you'll need to travel outward 30 miles east of Worcester towards Natick. Strange enough that this mall gets more business than the Greendale mall because it has a Sear's and a Macy's. A couple of good thing about this mall that it has public transportation access and it's off the Mass Pike, I-290 and route 20. It may not be the best mall in Massachusetts but people do come here for a reason and that is to shop. I like this mall because it's not as crowded as other malls only because of the limited stores that they have. read more

A review of the Auburn Mall by S.Osper- I can remember this mall being atleast a little nice when I was a tad bit younger. But in this current day in age, it has gone down it quality and selection. The food court is 90% unoccupied, Now that I'm thinking about it, about 90% of the mall is unoccupied. Okay, maybe not that much, but close to it. The only store that I still shop is Sears. The Greendale Mall is only about fifteen or so miles away in Worcester, so I would recomend going there read more

There's a Macy's, a Sears, an American Eagle, a LensCrafters, and a few others. Please take my advice and don't bother. It's dirty, it's kinda depressing. Hmm...sorry Auburn Mall for dissing you with 2 stars. This has always been the closest mall to where I grew up and to my parents house but as a mall this one kinda blows. Its actually the smallest mall imaginable where you could actually roll a tennis ball from one end to the other without a problem. If you're looking to spend a good about of time shopping or want to hang out at a mall for some reason this place isn't it, you can walk from one end to the other stopping at nearly every store and only have killed maybe 20minutes (4 minutes if you never really stopped at all). If you need to come here for a specific store then this place is great but the variety and the mall sensation just isn't here. If you have the time just drive north about 30min to the Solomon Pond Mall if you want a real mall. read more

The Auburn Mall seems to be improving! When I first moved here it was lack luster, but had a few good stores. It seems that every time I go there they have more and more relevant stores. I was just there for the start of the holiday season and the atmosphere was great! Loads of holiday decorations every where! I did not visit the new "Mi Amour" store at the end where Macy's was. The Auburn mall was once a respectable shopping destination with a wide variety of stores, boutiques, kiosks and food. Not so much anymore. These days it's a desolate wasteland of trashy teenagers and the same 3 stores plastered over and over with slightly different names. It's basically a strip of "trendy" clothing boutiques that no one with any self respect would ever shop at. Read: Hollister, American Eagle, etc. They've grown like a virus. Hell, American Eagle was once a book store, one of the only intelligent places left in this disgusting piglot of a shopping outlet. What isn't a teenage clothing store is a jewelry store. Then there's the two electronics stores, Gamestop and FYE, which are basically overpriced bargain bins that are run by teenage goons who look like the adolescent shoppers, but with a polo shirt. The food court isn't good either. At one point Pizzeria Regina there was great, now it's just blegh. (2016 update: Now it's gone and there is nothing in the food court period.) Then there's a Subway(2018: It's gone) and the token cheap Chinese place (the only thing left!). The other lots change out every few months with either bad food or overpriced novelty food. The stores suck, the people suck. No good food. This place makes me feel unpleasant. read more

This mall used to be a lot better. Being a resident of the Auburn area for thirty years I find that many of the stores have closed down or relocated to another mall. My favorite mall in the area is the Solomon Pond Mall. Its in Malborough I think, it has much more stores and a better overall shopping experience. A cool place to go shopping for needed or miscellaneous things. This is a small mall compared to others like the Natick mall but it does have a wide array of stores to offer. FYE is a cool store for buying movies and music and Olympia sports always has a good selection of running shoes. If you are looking for a specific item the Auburn mall is bound to have it! read more

Unfortunately there is not much selection at all and there are a lot of "cheap" quality stores. If you'd like a lot more options for shopping do not go here. If you just want Macy's or sears, then shop here because that seems like the only big attraction. The other stores are all very small ones. I always shop here, and I regret it so much. There aren't really any appealing stores that stick out. You have your usual Claire's, Famous Footwear, Hollister, Areo, Gap, Forever 21, Wet Seal, and Victoria secrets. The food court was redesigned, but it is still very unsanitary, as well as the bathrooms. Most of the customer service inside the stores is pretty good though. It's a good place to stop if you know what you need to get or don't feel like going to far out of the way to shop! Good for last minute pick-me-up things too. read more

Just left the Auburn Mall in Massachusetts, this was the most depressing place I have ever been in. The restrooms were not clean, there was rust on the walls and doors. The Mi Amour store was having it's Grand Opening with empty shelves wide open spaces where merchandise should have been. The merchandise looked like something you would see on a street walker. Ah yes, the Auburn Mall. Years ago I knew it existed and had never been. I never knew Auburn was really a town then -- just a bunch of crazy routes (12 & 20) where car dealerships and fast food joints seemed to go to multiply. Then we moved here. So, the Mall may not be up to the standards of other Yelpers in more Metropolitan areas. It's the best we have besides the Greendale, people. It has the normal anchor stores, Sears, Macy's (both clothing and home furnishings), and the little shops (Hot Topic and Spencers) that make people watching interesting. I can get my sexy lil thangs from Victoria's Secret, lotion potions from Bath and Body, and cheap duds from Charlotte Russe. All while toting 2 small children and a couple of pretzels from Auntie Annies. The real reason I give Auburn Mall 3 stars is for *drum roll* Pizzeria Regina . Yep, in the mall. Still good pizza and workers who give you as much attitude as the originals at whatever and 1/2 Thacher St. So, say what you will but I like my lil mall. It's clean, I don't have to take public trans. to get there and parking is ample. Try that at the Galleria some rainy Saturday. read more

not sure about all departments at this Sears location but the mattress department is top rate the Mattress Sales Consultant was great she help fix a MRJOR SCREWUP by SEARS.COM on an order , I will never purchase anything from SEARS.COM again I will always go to the outlet store and talk to a sales person direct , I was surprised to learn the Sears (outlets) and Sears.(on-line) are two separate entities altogether. I would give the Auburn Mall Location mattress department a Thank You very much Fran, and at the same time give the SEARS.COM a BIG FAT GOOSE EGG thumbs down , and any other negative review word I can think of read more

Ehhhh auburn mall is a Sunday type of deal when there nothing else to do or to meet up with friends

The Auburn mall has been the host to a slew of unpleasant shopping experiences in my life, though today took the cake in a major way. It is February fifth and we are currently having a snow storm, there is already 4 inches on the ground at 9 am, with little to no effect in the clean up effort. the snow is still coming down and the news promises that this will double or triple by 5 pm. the state has advised that all non-emergency employees should remain home and that EVERY SCHOOL IN MASSACHUSETTS is CLOSED. yet the mall remains open, so, i had to drive in an employee who is a friend of mine (i wont say this persons name) so that they could get to work for a day with no potential sales. eventually, after battling the snow and the roads, we make it to the auburn mall to find that there is no sufficient parking, the lots haven't been plowed, and what has been plowed is just being pushed into a giant pile that is obstructing a main drive-way in the front of the main entrance to the mall. there is no safe place to drop off the employee and no real safe way to get out of the parking lot once you have managed to get in at all. The mall thinks that it is safe to shop? it isn't even safe to park. The inside of the mall is SOAKING WET, with only "slippery when wet" signs placed at the main entrances so as to avoid liability when one of the employees eventually slips and hurts themselves. I say employees because they are the only ones who feel any inclination to endanger their own lives to get to this god-awful place. As you might imagine, the employees are not happy that they have to drag their sorry-selves through the increasing snow and misery outside because of a mall that refuses to shut its doors, even if for public safety. Needless to say, the shopping experience is less than desirable today. this is not a one-time-thing. this has been a consistently ongoing issue. they remain open, not because of a belief that people will arrive to shop, but because if they do remain open they can charge the businesses that rent from them for that day, whether or not the business remains open, thereby forcing business owners to choose between the safety of their employees and the sustainability of their business. this immoral practice was brought to their attention via their facebook, but the comments and criticisms remain censored. A terrible business, with a terrible owner. any other mall in Massachusetts vastly outweighs this one in terms of store availability, options, customer service and food and general accessibility. i wouldn't shop in this miserable building with a gun to my head. I'd prefer the sweet release of death, thank you very much. highly recommended if you are some sort of discontented masochist. I am very disappointed. read more

Many times I traveled by this mall to other destinations. I finally had enough time and curiosity to stop. Finding parking was easy. The mall seemed dated likely built years prior to the newer super regional malls. Still the center seemed clean and busy. Yet ,ironically the food court had few eateries with few people . Noticeably absent was a table service restaurant of any kind. The specialty stores were typical of of a mall this size. Auburn's wooden ceiling was unique which reminded me of the original Burlington Mall (Mass) ceiling before that center added a second floor. I surmised the ceiling was at one time lightly stained with darker color beams but later painted white as part of a mall renovation. If this was the case keeping the ceiling the the original color might have given the mall a retro look and differentiated the center from other area malls. I am also curious what sit down restaurants use to be located in the mall? Most malls of this era were not built with food courts and usually had a Friendly's or something similar. Any comments on the mall's history would be appreciated. Thanks. read more
