The service was great very easy parking in the garage. There so may stores you could shop for days. They have 4 floors with many stores to select from. Zara is my favorite selection. You can get great value of sales especially with Christmas in a few weeks. I love There Christmas theme " The Polar Express". The drive from Hartford was less then two hours. They also have a huge food court. They have a new sushi and hibachi restaurant and P.F. Changs there is something for everyone from adults to children of all ages. Malls everywhere are struggling, but PPM still seems to be doing well. Frequent turnover of stores is the norm, though always good new retailers opening shop. Parking is horrible- pay to park in a dark, creepy garage.. not many stores.. basics but nothing great- imax Dave n busters and now a level 99.. cool but draws in a trash crowd at night. I'm glad to see Providence Place alive & well! Used to come here maybe once a year because I participated in competitions that were held at the convention center, connected to the mall. Parking is free for the first two hours & then max for the day is $25. Seems like they've added a bunch of shops since I last visited. Loved the Zara, PopMart, & Uniqlo! They have a little bit of everything; movie theater, Level 99, tufting (rug making + arts&crafts), and a decent amount of shops. read more

I wouldn't recommend going to providence place. Me and my daughter went to the mall and the lady in boscovs didn't take the security tags off of our clothes! Then when we wanted to leave the fire alarms started going off!!! When we asked security for something they said "Oh Im not sure" then left. Then we could find our way out, after 20 minutes we found our way out! The good side is that before we left my daughter and I liked it! Don't recommend!!!!!! read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. Most stores don't open till 11. And others closing for good. But that being said I alway find the stores I frequent still there and found great deal on leather jacket. The service at most stores is great. Shopping malls are still a center of gathering and shopping...yes, there's online convenience at your fingertips at home, but sometimes there's just no comparison to feeling and touching an item or trying something on. The Providence Place Mall has several EV charging stations for those needing to charge their cars (now you need to download the Shell EV app to be able to access the free charging stations). Limit 2 hours....which is also the time frame for free parking. Any other parking from 2-5 hours is only $2 for the entire parking stay. Not bad for being right in downtown Providence. Nice updated, galleria-style mall with multiple floors to shop. There's a bit of everything for everyone with a small food court, and a few Anchor chain restaurants, like Cheesecake Factory and PF Changs. I shopped at a few stores and browsed a handful more. I imagine it's busy on the weekends, the location is central to many things. read more

Modern clean mall attached to the Omi with a Macys and Boscov's store as the anchors. There is a Nordstrom's shoe store that has remained. Upstairs is a food hall with an IMAX cinema and views of the river. There were clean restrooms. What I did appreciate was small vendor set up tables inside and they're selling their hand crafts. Many were beautifully done and ethnic. We did buy a homemade banana bread from Paradise Pastries in Norwich, Connecticut. read more

Oh boy, a very largs and complex mall. Get that map out, lol. Lkt of levels and plenty of shops. Always busy with crowds of people. I will say there are plenty of escalators to go from floor to floor and if course elevators. Food court was very large with a lot of choices. One down side is with parking. There basically is one main entrance that you have to navigate too. And when going thru the levels, if they are busy you have to wait for the cars to cycle thru to get Spot. read more

I was told today that dogs are once again allowed in the mall even if they are not service animals. After today, please rethink this. Did you not hear the obnoxious, yapping, extremely annoying dog in its stroller completely disrupting the entire mall? What an inconsiderate, entitled fool the dog's owner and her daughter are. Just like children, if you can't control your dog, leave it at home. No one else wants to listen to it because you're too ignorant to know better. It's people like those two that ruin it for others. I approached her to ask her if she was leaving and why she felt it was okay to bring her disruptive dog to a public place. She told me to mind my business. She then called me rude and a dog hater. I don't hate dogs. I hate people like her who are too self-centered to own them. Please don't let her or others like her with their disruptive dogs back into the mall. Service dogs only. read more

For a weekday, the mall was surprisingly busy. Most stores were open, and there are a couple new one's in the works. Some of the restaurants at street level seem to no longer be open. Bright and sunny interior, carpeted floors, escalators, food court. All the expected mall accoutrements. There are several entrances, so be sure you take note of what stores are nearby when you enter. Pay for your parking at the machines before exiting. It's just quicker and easier. Remember to ask for discounts when shopping such as AAA and other organizations you may belong to. They have a wide variety of clothing, shoes, athletics, toys, sweets and household goods stores to chose from. Typical mall located just off Rt. 95 near the statehouse with a bus stop our front and a parking structure out back. read more

If you are disabled or moderately injured, don't expect there to be any automatic doors or comfortable chairs or benches around the mall, in the walkways or parking garages. This place is for young and fully able bodied people. And for the record, a ton of germy, sneezing, runny nose and ill young people. Mask up. read more

This is a beautiful mall located in the heart of Providence. Not only do they have every possible store you can think of pretty much, but there's also a Dave & Buster's and a beautiful movie theater, as well as some great restaurants including The Cheesecake Factory, Uno Pizzeria, and P. F. Chang's. Parking in their garage is free for the first 2 hours. My only issue is I dislike the garage. It scares me. It's nice that they installed lights along the ceilings which blink green if there are available spots, or red if there aren't any. But I still find it confusing and speed demons who drive way too erratic piss me off. Beautiful mall,, great stores and restaurants. Scary garage lol. read more

REVIEW FROM AN AMTRAK TRAVELER: This is the mall where I spent time before getting an Uber from Providence to Newport. I had taken the overnight Amtrak train to Providence from New York, and had a couple of hours to kill before I could check into my hotel in Newport. Even though the stores were closed, you could still walk around inside and also use the public bathrooms on the food court level. read more

Alot of stores have went out of business - however, they have a large food court, movies, large end cap stores and a huge variety of shops from top to bottom. Stopped in here to grab a rolled sandwich but unfortunately it did not open when it said it was supposed to so I just ended up walking around the mall instead. I found street parking around the corner but there is a paid ramp you can park at within the mall. it is a large mall with multiple stories of stores. There was a good variety of stores and the mall is well maintained. read more

When I visited Providence, I ended up needing some new shoes. I stopped here and was able to go DSW. This mall is absolutely huge and has everything you need! It's super conveniently located in Downtown, so you can easily walk if you're staying down here, or you can drive. read more

So when I was a teenager I would blow my weekly paycheck (not much, it was minimum wage) here every Thursday after pay day. My friends and I would take the City bus from Cranston here and just hang out at the mall day and night (yep, we were mallrats). It's a great spot for people watching and people that don't drive or aren't old enough to drink. The mall was fairly new back then and it's still decent now. The parking lot is huge and it's always packed. It's definitely an economy booster for Providence. The parking lot is convenient when you want to go to events nearby since it's walking distance and fairly affordable. There's a bridge connecting the mall to the hotel. It's also a creepy place since people like to commit suicide there. Lots of bad joojoo. As for the mall itself, it's nicely organized. There's two levels and the third level has the movie theater and Dave and Busters. In the middle of the mall on the second floor, that's where the food court is. They always have revolving restaurants but the places that stayed for a while was Johnny Rockets. The stores there are abundant and there's plenty of places to shop at. I avoid this place during the weekend like the plague because it's a madhouse. The best times to go is during the weekdays. read more

The exterior of the mall look great. However, inside the stores are dirty, elevators dirty. Honestly was just a big mess.

Although several anchor stores have departed, I still enjoy walking through Providence Place. My must stop stores are the Apple Store and a huge Bed, Bath and Beyond. The food court also has a nice variety of eateries and the mall abuts several full service restaurants. One money saving tip, on a hot day buy a Dels frozen lemonade across the street from Tony at his pushcart - refreshing and much cheaper than beverages sold at the mall stores. Finally don't fall for the high pressure sales pitches from a few of the more aggressive pushcart vendors! read more

I had never even heard of this place let alone been to one before coming to the mall. It's essentially a dept store w/ all kinds of stuff & great deals. I ended up getting two pairs of sunglasses & gloves because I couldn't decide between them & since they were on sale I decided to get them all. The service/cashier was friendly & helpful too. This mall is in the heart of Providence and has every store one could imagine. The first floor holds high end stores and the mall also has several non-shopper activities. However, I am beyond disappointed with the mall losing Nordstrom! I am now prone to go to Warwick Mall for its convenience. P.s. parking is free under 2 hours! read more

This was my happy place when I was a child! Growing up in Middletown, Providence Place is the mall of choice for my family and I whenever we needed to do shopping. There are three main levels for stores as well as individual stores (DSW, Bed Bath & Beyond) on the parking levels and the food court on the top floor. For anchor stores, you have Macy's and Nordstrom which runs along all three levels on either end. There has been changes to the store line ups over the years but staples that has stayed with the times includes Apple, Banana Republic, Victoria Secret, American Eagle, and more. The parking garage has also been recently updated to include counters at the entrance to tell customers where there is most spaces available. They also have the green/red light indicators over the spaces to indicate whether they are vacant or not. Pricing has also been updated so that the first two hours of parking are free. After all these years, I still come back every now and then when I am in Rhode Island. Great place to stroll around shops when you're bored! read more

This downtown mall is much larger than I realized and is connected to the Omni Providence Hotel. I didn't browse to see what all shops were available, but it appeared to be a good mixture and a decent number of offerings. I only visited Macy's and found what I was looking for, but passed many staple mall stores. The mall has an attached parking garage that appears to be very large. read more

I forgot to review this place or maybe I was just trying to subconsciously block out the actual experience of being here, but for whatever reason it never got reviewed. So I will throw my two cents in about this place. The word that comes to mind when attempting to describe it is "run". Not away from or towards. Just run in general. You have to run or at least walk very quickly or just walk alot because this place is like a maze. It is gigantic and the only reason we even stopped here was because we'd read about a restaurant we wanted to try in the mall. In our minds we pictured a quaint little mall with a few yummy places to eat. The reality was pretty different. It was a battle just cutting through traffic to GET here and parking was not much easier. Then there was the walk. This was an endless walk because we could not find any signs pointing us toward the place we were looking for. We asked a few people but they did not know. So around and around we went. Up, down, steps, walkways, endless stores, down more steps etc..you get the picture. A Word of caution: if you, like myself, are not a mall person and particularly dislike big impersonal type of malls, do yourself a favor and avoid this place at least during rush hour. And if you do decide to brave it, understand it is quite a large mall with few signs, tough parking and an impersonal all around feeling. And though it is seemingly right of the highway, "right off the highway" in this case meant wall to wall traffic and a much longer drive time than we had anticipated. We did eventually find our restaurant of choice..after about a half hour of walking. Coming here is a great way to work off some Carbs but not so good if you are in a hurry to get somewhere else as we were. I doubt I'll have the pleasure of being a visitor here again. I'm more of a "less is more" type person when it comes to malls. While the restaurant was great, the experience of getting to it was draining. read more

Lots of shops spread across 3 floors in the city leads to plenty of congestion as others have pointed out. The location is convenient if you want to explore the downtown area too. We actually parked here ate at one of the restaurants in the mall then walked around the town. Thankfully for Waterfire we wised up and found a street parking spot before all of the traffic. As others have expressed, the ticketed parking garage is set up on a very confusing layout. You should take your ticket with you since there are pay kiosks in some of the exits before you leave. We paid $10 for maybe half a day on Saturday, so it's definitely not bad by Boston/Cambridge standards. If you must shop, it's better to try and go during the down time and it's probably cheaper for only a couple hours. If you're in the city on foot, I'd recommend just walking to here if you are nearby. The number of shops impressed me. They have all of your usual chains you'd expect. However, if I really needed a variety of shops I'd rather go to Natick and deal with their spread out parking lots. Even Patriot Place in Foxborough on non-game days is better with their outdoor mall. read more
